I Won't Say I'm In Love (Magnus)

[Dr. Linksano/Wayne Schlumper]

(ooc: May 2nd. Afternoon. hope tis ok. figured it'd be fun reunion by themselves. figured maybe tony, linkara, or one of the others created fake magnus hologram just to distract liknsano xD)

Linksano had hidden in his lab after the rescue. His talk with Tony had made him question how he saw things but then he chickened out after Magnus was safe. He had buried himself in his work glad his friend was ok. He was starting to think Tony was wrong and Magnus didn't like him that. No one would like him like that. He paused hearing footsteps and looked up in confusion.

"I locked the lab. Even set up a forcefield." said Linksano.

He paused walking to the door seeing Magnus.

"Tony or Linkara. Someone had to help him. Why can't people just leave me alone?" said Linksano.

He paused turning running out the back door only to run right into someone seeing it was Magnus.

"How did you-"

The first Magnus he saw walked through the door only to disappear.

"A hologram. I've been tricked!" said Linksano.

He paused turning back to Magnus.

"I don't know what kind of prank this is but leave me alone!" said Linksano.

He swung a punch at him only to be surprised when Magnus caught it.

"You're real." said Linksano.

He pulled back forcing a smile to his face.

"I'm glad your back Magnus. I have work to do. Maybe we could hang out later." said Linksano.

(OCC: More than okay. I want my babies to just kiss already. Also yes I'm gonna have linkara make a magnus hologram to surprise linksano and lead to the real one surprising him. Like a prank)

Magnus returned safely and was quite humbled by the joyous greeting he recieved. This group really did it's damn best to be a family of sorts. And in many ways it felt like a family. Magnus kind of felt relieved by this mentality. It gave him someone to talk to. Like Linkara. He and linkara talked about his condition when magnus talked about how linksano rescued him and be his savior, only to run off and hide the minute magnus was taken to the medical bay. He hadn't seen linksano since returning. Sure it was only a day but he had only managed to focus on linksano for a couple hours before not seeing him again. Leading to a conversation with linkara.

As Magnus was getting patched up, he couldn't help but ask linkara "Linkara, do you think he hates me?"
"Oh no! Not at all why?" Linkara replied
"He won't talk to me I don't know what to do" Magnus replied
"Why are you so concerned?" Linkara then was shocked as magnus looked down with tears
"Because I think I love him" Magnus replied
Linkara took a long while before a big smirk came on and he took a sample of magnus' hair and put it in a hologram device. Linkara then turned to magnus and replied "I have a plan that might help" He then spoke to magnus about how to address the issue

As the hologram linkara made came to the door, magnus snuck around behind linksano, kind of amused by the antics. Magnus tried not to chuckle, wanting to empathize with linksano's annoyance and confusion. This no doubt felt like a invasion of privacy. But magnus needed to tell linksano how he felt. Even if linksano didn't love him back. Linksano shocked him though when he aimed to strike him, magnus quickly caught it, giving a soft look at linksano and he could tell linksano was happy but not happy to see him. Magnus took his hand, loose enough for linksano to pull away if he wanted and replied "Linksano. Um, I know you're busy. But please. I need to talk to you. Badly. Please give me a couple minutes of your time"

[Dr. Linksano/Wayne Schlumper]

Linksano paused looking at Magnus's words.

"Well, I suppose I am a little ahead of schedule. So I could spare a few minutes. I am glad you're back and safe. When I saw what those monsters did to you...."

He trailed off clenching his fists and he breathed to calm himself down. He didn't wish to upset his friend who probably would have nightmares and bad memories of that place.

"Sorry. You said you wanted to talk to me about something. What was it?" said Linksano.

He paused getting worried. The thought of losing Magnus again possibly for good was causing him to panic slightly.

"Did they poison you? Cast some kind of spells on you? I can fetch Mrs. Potts or one of the magic people like that giant or the genie boy." said Linksano.

He nodded, mostly to himself.

"Yes. That's what I'll do. I'll get you some help." said Linksano.

As he turned to go his foot was caught under the desk and he slipped. Before he knew it he was falling and he reached out his hands to catch himself.

(ooc: be fun if Magnus catches him. linksano literally "falling" for him. xD)

Magnus felt bad that linksano was pushing down his feelings just because he was worried magnus would react badly. He wished he could say a million things to comfort linksano but right now he just needed to be honest with the feelings he had. Magnus replied, hesitating, not sure how to say it without scaring linksano off "See linksano I've been thinking about how to say this to you and---" He then widened his eyes as linksano got anxious and assumed it was magnus wanting to talk about being poisoned or harmed "No no linksano. I'm fine I'm not hurt I--" Magnus sighed as the poor doctor got so overwhelmed he went to fetch Mrs. Potts and just as magnus went to stop linksano, the doctor started to trip.

Quickly magnus grabbed him, picking him up very much like the disney movies where the woman tripped and the man pulled them back up. Magnus responded quickly and rapidly "Linksano, I'm in love with you!" He then paled in horror of how quickly and unprofessionally he did it. But he couldn't help it. Linksano's anxiety forced his hand and he had to say it. He repeated again, more seriously "Linksano. I'm in love with you. I know I don't deserve you. I know you deserve someone so much better but... I love you"

Linksano was relieved he wasn't hurt. He smiled as Magnus helped him to his feet. He froze at his words.

"What?" asked Linksano.

He paused clenching his fists in anger.

"Go and tell Tony his jokes are not funny. Or Linkara or whoever it was that put you up to this nonsense. I thought you were my friend... I thought I had friends but clearly, all I can count on is myself." said Linksano.

He walked back to his console. It had to be a joke. It had to. He started trying to work on next projeect.

"No one could love me." whispered Linksano.

(ooc: feel free to talk to him/kiss him, whatever. prove to linksano that magnus does want him. xD)

Magnus looked down in shame as Linksano got angry with him, demanding that this was a joke. Then he began tearing up as Linksano told him he couldn't depend on him "Linksano I'm not lying it's the truth I--" He then saw the doctor walk off and fix things. It was no doubt linksano was just so unused to being told he was loved that he just couldn't believe it. Magnus felt so stupid for doing this so wrong. But at this point he was hellbent on linksano believing him. The plans of being professional and being talkative about his feelings went out. Especially when linksano said his sentence of declaration

No one could love me

Magnus couldn't take it. He would not hear that from someone as amazing as linksano. Magnus grabbed him to make the doctor look right at him. He saw the doctor stare at him with confusion and start demanding for magnus to let go. Magnus' only response? "You know what. Fuck it" He then grabbed linksano for a tender kiss, pouring his soul into the kiss. Literally trying to say what he meant through the kiss. He wanted so desperately for linksano to understand. To believe. To just accept. He kept kissing him, pulling linksano close, hellbent on getting the doctor to listen.

Linksano tuned his words out thinking he would try to apologize or to continue out with the awful joke. Why couldn't people just leave him alone? He was taken by surrpise as Magnus grab him.

"Unhand me! Let me go!" said Linksano.

He froze as Magnus kissed him and he stopped struggling as he got lost in the moment. That this could be real. Magnus could love him. He tried pulling back but Magnus kept kissing him and it felt a little overwhelming. He eventually pulled back to b breathe but all he could do was stare at him.

"You were wrong. I am the one who doesn't deserve you. I am broken. All I know is science. I don't know how to have friends or a romance." said Linksano.

He paused looking down.

"Maybe we should just forget this whole thing. I could hurt you and I don't want to do that. You walk away now, you could find someone else." said Linksano.

He then chuckled.

"And yet I feel selfish. I want something I've never had before. Maybe it will end, maybe it will hurt. But the old saying is right. It is better to love than to have never been loved at all." said Linksano.

He paused pulling Magnus into his arms and another kiss. This time wrapping his arms around him. He pulled back looking at him sadly.

"I have been such a fool. Not recognizing my feelings, in denial so far I thought I was sick. Tony tried to tell me and I almost believed him. But then I panicked after we rescued you. Seeing you hurt like that I snapped. And when I thought you were sick just know the thought of losing you for good terrified me." said Linksano.

He paused for a moment and continued.

"Promise me no matter what happens we stay friends. Even if we hurt other or say the wrong thing. I never realized how much I fell apart with you gone and that was just a few weeks. If I lost you completely I don't think I'd ever be able to recover." said Linksano.

[Magnus Martinsson]

Magnus was so focused on kissing him he ignored linksano's very slight attempts to stop him. He kept going until eventually he pulled back, he listened to Linksano say that it was HE who didn't deserve HIM. That all he really knew was science and not being with people. "Linksano, I love that you care about science so much. You're perfect to me. It doesn't matter to me about what you don't know or do know. I can teach you the things you don't if you want me to, I can teach you to go on dates and all that romantic shit. Again, if you want me to" Magnus then listened more as linksano suggested that magnus should leave. To go off to find someone else. Magnus started to tear up then, so saddened by the fact linksano just found himself impossible to love. That he was willing to just shut his feelings down just so magnus could go off. But magnus made his choice. He did the minute he met linksano. "But I don't want anyone else! I want you!" Magnus declared insistingly

Magnus was about to state that it didn't have to end. That they didn't know what held the future. That magnus would fight to his last breath just so he could stay with linksano. But then Linksano pulled him in, wrapping his arms around magnus. Magnus completely accepted it, kissing back. Pulling him just as close, wanting this moment to be forever. But then it stopped, too soon in magnus' opinion. He then looked at linksano with love as Linksano finally, finally talked to him. He explained that he was in denial, that he didn't think it was true. He genuinely believed something was wrong with him, that hurt magnus more than any wound honest john did on him. Tony did reach to him but linksano regressed after seeing magnus in such injury from being captured. Linksano couldn't handle it and was so terrified of losing him. Magnus teared up "Linksano. I wanted to tell you for so long how sorry I was for doing that mission. I was so scared that I wasn't going to stay alive to tell you I love you. I was so scared you were going to be alone and blame yourself for me. I'm so sorry about everything. About being so stupid" Magnus held him tightly and replied softly, feeling more vunerable than he had in years "I'm not gonna lose you again linksano I'm scared of losing you too"

He then nodded, listening to linksano ask him to promise that regardless they stay friends "Of course I promise. But even if we say wrong things and fight I promise you I'll work through it with you. I want this to work linksano. I want to be here for you. I want you. I want us to be together. And I'll do whatever I can to make you happy I promise" He held linksano tightly, wanting linksano to feel this and accept it still as reality. He wanted this more than anything and if linksano was willing then magnus would make sure he didn't lose the doctor.

"No one 's perfect." said Linksano.

Linksano gave a shy yet nervous smile.

"You'd actually go on dates with me?" asked Linksano.

Linksano nodded.

"It's ok. We were both fools hiding how we felt. I was so deep in denial I never realized until it was almost too late. They captured you, tortured you.... I almost lost you and you'd ahve never...."

He trailed off clenching his fists in anger. He wanted to go now and make them all pay for even touching Magnus but that would likely just cause more trouble so he would just focus his anger for the next battles.

"You'd better. I guess I'm a very selfish person. When I commit to someone or something I'm completely devoted. I probably will say or do the wrong things like get jealous. But I'll try to talk to you about it. I don't want to lose you because of my own insecurities." said Linksano.

He smiled holding the man in his arms as he grinned.

"I found your gift. I still don't know you figured out about my birthday. I'll never doubt your detective skills again." said Linksano.

[Magnus Martinsson]

"I know not literally anyone is perfect but to me you're the closest thing to it" Magnus bit back at linksano's comment about perfection. He wanted linksano to understand more that magnus was willing to say or do anything linksano wanted. So long as linksano understood magnus loved him, goggles and all. Magnus then nodded insistently "Of course I would! I would take you on romantic dates, be romantic for you and teach you to be romantic! Anything you want, linksano! I definitely am going to take you on dates, whereever you want"

Magnus was a little relieved that linksano didn't hold anything against him. But then he frowned sadly as linksano got nervous and angry at the concept that magnus could've easily died. That magnus was captured and would've been tortured more were it not for him. Wanting to prevent linksano from getting too upset, magnus pulled him close and gave him a gentle, sweet kiss on his lips "Hey. Hey. I will never let you go through that again. I will always, always come back to you. I promise" He then gave one more sweet kiss before replying gently "You're worth all the wounds I suffered from those assholes. I'm just glad they didn't hurt you"

"It's okay linksano. Everyone gets insecure or jealous. Like you said, just talk about it with me. We'll just communicate with each other about our frustrations and work them out. We're not gonna be perfect but that's ok. I'm going to do whatever I can to make this work out. I love you too much to let you go" Magnus honestly, kindly replied. He was not going to lose linksano not that he had him in his grip. Magnus was hooked and was going to stick for a very long time, most likely forever. He held onto linksano close, smiling softly as linksano told him about the present he left behind. He smirked at him "A detective is like a magician. Can't reveal his secrets. But I seriously hope you like it. I didn't know if you wanted blue or red but what's really important is if they make you happy"

Linksano was blushing at Magnus's words.

"You really think that?" asked Linksano.

Linksano grinned.

"Then I guess I've got a lot of research to do. I need to know what to do on dates, where to go. What to say. I don't know where to start. Guess I could binge watch some movies and see if that helps." said Linksano.

He would welcome Magnus's help but he wanted to learn as much as he could. If he treated it like a science he could learn how to date Magnus properly and learn all the mechanics and finesse. Like anything, it would take time to perfect.

"Next time I see that fox he's going to wish he was never born." said Linksano, still angry at how Magnus had been hurt.

Linksano nodded.

"I'll try. I do want this to work." said Linksano.

He chuckled.

"Then I guess I'll have to find out myself." said Linksano.

He grinned.

"I've never really gotten gifts before. It made me happy because it was from you." said Linksano.

[Magnus Martinsson]

"Linksano. I've thought this way about you for a while. I just didn't know how to say it right" Magnus replied honestly. It was true. He knew casual flirting totally failed and linksano was a person who deserved effort anyway. At least that was magnus' opinion. He then smiled a bit as linksano said he needed to try some research. Magnus smiled "Mind if I join you for that movie research? I mean I'm happy to help with that linksano, honest" He smiled more at the idea of spending movie time with linksano.

"Don't you worry about that fox linksano. He's not worth it trust me someone will get him" Magnus assured but the truth was magnus wanted to get to him first. Personal vendetta. He wanted to make that fox pay for nearly killing linksano and magnus himself. That fox was a true bastard. He then held linksano close and assured him "As long as we try it will work out I promise"

He then chuckled as linksano said he would have to figure it out himself. He then listened as linksano replied he never got gifts but he especially like magnus' gift since it came from him. He then replied "Oh good. I'm glad that gift made you happy that's all that matters to me" And with that magnus gave a gentle kiss to linksano's lips, finding himself really liking kissing linksano.

Linksano sighed.

'I guess I've been blind to so much. How could I recognize love when I never really had it?" said Linksano.

He grinned.

"I'd like that." said Linksano.

He paused at his words about the fox.

"He hurt you. That's good enough for me. No one hurts people I care about and gets away with it." said Linksano.

He smiled at him.

"I will try to make this work. I almost lost you once to that fox and those fools. I tried to push you away and I couldn't do it. You're a part of my life that it felt empty without you in it. I d don't want to feel that way ever again." said Linksano.

He nodded.

"I will have to remember to get you something on your birthday." said Linksano.

He paused with a frown.

"I didn' t miss it did I?" asked Linksano, worried.

And all thoughts were forgotten as they were kissing again.

(OCC: Just noticed Linksano has the name Wayne. Maybe Linksano eventually tells Magnus the name along with some close friends of his?)

Magnus' heart sank as Linksano told him he never knew, or experienced, love. Magnus softly took Linksano's hand, replying gently "Then I think today's the day you start to get the love you deserve. I can help you see what love is. Or at least give you what I think love is" Magnus smiled in victory as Linksano agreed to allow Magnus into his research. He chuckled, squeezing Linksano's hand "I'm glad you do. Because it's time we spent more time together" Magnus then patiently held Linksano close to him, aware of the doctor's anger against Honest John. Magnus waved it off, wanting to deal with Honest John himself. Magnus replied, a bit stubborn and determined "Don't bother, Linksano. I want to settle my own scores with him. I don't want him to get near you, let alone have him touch you. I have ways of dealing with people like him, trust me"

Magnus smiled fondly as Linksano promised to put effort in, wanting to no longer waste time or push him away. Magnus replied determinedly "I know you'll try. I will too. You don't have to be alone anymore and you won't be. You're part of my life too, Linksano and nothing will change that" He chuckled as Linksano mentioned his birthday and laughed more as Linksano worriedly asked if he forgot "No, no, you didn't. It's not until September" He then kept kissing Linksano, having a soft hum of relief as he really enjoyed the moment. He kept going before pulling away, murmuring "I could kiss you all day"

Linksano blushed a little as Magnus took his hand.

"Really? What do you have in mind?" asked Linksano.

Linksano smiled at him.

"I'd like that." said Linksano.

Linksano smirked.

"Or we can take him out together. And Vyce of course. I have a score to settle with him too." mentioned Linksano.

If Linkara could take out Vyce so easily then clearly he wasn't a big of a threat as he'd built himself up. Now he didn't have his army or ship. He had to rely on Ask That guy's Army so in a way he was weaker than he was. Now would be the time.

"I have to defeat Vyce. Not only did he terrorize me and force me to work for him but he killed my brother. I have to avenge my brother." replied Linksano.

He paused at his words and leaned into him.

"Won't have to be alone anymore. That's nice." said Linksano.

He relaxed a little at hearing he hadn't forgotten his birthday.

"Good. I'm going to get you the best gift I can get." mentioned Linksano

He returned Magnus's kisses enjoying them all.

"So could I but then I'd never get anything done." replied Linksano.

He paused and smiled at him.

"Oh I suppose I should tell you. Linkara nows and so do the rest of the Atop the Fourth Wall Crew. My original name was Wayne Schlumper. I haven't used that name in years. I just wanted you to know that." said Linksano.
