John is the most sophisticated, intelligent and courageous out of the darling children. John is very thrill-seeking but will not hesitate to plan things out and work out more problems with brains as opposed to brawn. He will fight if he needs to but overall likes to think ahead of his enemies. He relishes in enjoying himself and especially likes the taste of adventure and learning. He has a tendency to use vocabulary much bigger than he needs to, having a intelligence unlike most children his age. He likes to be proper and more importantly likes to appear as quite clever. John though is actually quite friendly despite him being very knowledgeable and wanting to show his knowledge. He is down-to-earth and pleasant, never taking things too seriously or too importantly unless it clearly shows itself as important or serious. If anything he's quite humble and very open to hearing feedback, always wanting to embrace new things and new ideas. He is open to criticism and also is open to expanding his horizons. He is also extremely protective and loving towards his siblings, going out of his way to either protect them or spend time with them.
History:
John Darling is the middle child of the trio, and he was always fascinated by Wendy's stories. He and his younger brother michael would spend nights on end playing games related to wendy's stories, usually volunteering himself as captain hook or a pirate, finding a fascination in playing a brutal character when he himself wasn't very brutal. Plus michael didn't need to be the villain anyway, he was too little for something like that. However one night, he and michael's antics got the better of their father, enough to make him lose his temper and say peter pan was nothing but fluff and wendy needed to grow up. Feeling his father was too harsh on his sister, he got a bit annoyed at his father's words, only pacified by his mother claiming it was simply his father being upset. John fell asleep but awoke when michael told him to over the fact that peter was here. John was shocked to see it, and tinker bell, appear before him and accepted Peter's invitation to join his travels to never-land. He was even willing to take any order peter gave him. With wendy and michael he traveled to never-land, very happy to see new land such as the pirate ship and native-american territory. He eventually befriended the lost boys and managed to enjoy some adventure before getting captured by the chief, tiger lily's father. Despite never seeing her, tiger lily was captured and they were about to be punished for it. Luckily peter pan rescuing her caused the chief to quickly release them with no questions and even invite them to their pow-wow. John enjoyed the mischief but then wendy reminded him of back home in london, and found himself homesick. He agreed to return to london, alongside his siblings but found himself captured.
Despite being captured by pirates, john was rescued by peter and john used his leadership skills to attack the pirates. They won easily and quickly returned to london safely and he was relieved his sister was going to stay in the nursery. Things returned to normal for a while but then one night he awoke to a strange world with his siblings. Confused, he lead them to a circus where he was shocked to learn a war was going on. While his sister is a bit unhappy with this, john saw this as a chance to finally prove himself as a brave man.
