Quote: "But mother, I don't want to grow up"
Name: Wendy Moira Angela Darling, but many refer to her as just Wendy
Age: 12 years old
Where is this character from?: Peter Pan(Disney Version)
Why did you pick him/her?: Mostly for fun
Picture:
Personality:
Wendy is best described as imaginative but still overall a surprisingly mature young lady. Although she is imaginative, creative, spontaneous and curious, she still overall tends to have a ground in reality and is surprisingly practical and logical for her age. She is extremely loyal and protective of others, being very much like a mother, especially to her two brothers. She does have a love for the fantasy and adventure, but even she can understand reality and overall does like to be a reasonable figure. Basically she is willing to expand and open her mind, but only if it's fun for herself and everyone around her. Speaking of which she can be very fun and patient, but even she has a breaking point and certainly will not be bullied or pushed around. She has a independent spirit, very sure of herself and what she believes. She is unashamed of who she is and has quite a lot of confidence despite her pretty docile and calm appearance.
History:
Wendy Darling is the eldest of the darling children, born in central london, she is responsible for most stories about peter pan getting around. Although her brothers and mother tend to love them, her father who is the most cynical out of the family fears that wendy will be a laughing stock if this imagination gets the better of her. It wasn't a huge problem for a long time until her father one night out of frustration and anger brings it up that wendy's imagination is getting bigger as she gets older. Despite the protestations of his wife, he threatened to take wendy out of the nursery into her own room. This would mean Wendy would not be allowed to tell stories to her brothers as much anymore, as she wouldn't be allowed to enter the nursery as much. This displeased wendy greatly because she enjoyed telling stories to her brothers. That night though she met Peter himself who heard her plight and offered to take her away to never-land to never grow up. Wendy agrees but insists they take her brothers along, who join them in their travel to never-land. When they arrive their introduction to never-land is being attacked by captain hook and his crew, they successfully escape only for wendy to actually get attacked by the lost boys. She made it safely thanks to peter, but she was surprised to hear tinker bell attempt a actual attack on her. She then eventually traveled with peter to meet the mermaids, who attempted to drown her as a attempt for fun. She then joined peter to assist in helping tiger lily, and after saving her Wendy pretty much was assigned to get firewood during her celebration. Feeling very left out and irritated at the fact she was forced to do the work of misbehaving children, she felt that maybe being at home in london wasn't as bad as she was making it out to be.
Not to mention she was quickly beginning to miss her parents, and after some talk with her brothers they missed them also. The lost boys, touched by her stories, wished to accompany them. The only one not convinced was Peter Pan, warning them that once they left and grew up, they were not allowed to return. Wendy sadly left only to be captured by the pirates. Captain hook though was willing to give them a chance to stay alive but joining them, but wendy refused which caused her to be the first to walk the plank. Thankfully peter once again rescued her and the rest of the children. Not long after the fight between peter and hook, peter used tinker bell's pixie dust to get them back to london. When she awoke she told her father the story and despite not entirely believing her, did see a ship from his youth. She was pleased to hear the next morning that her father changed her mind and was going to allow her to stay in the nursery for a long while. And she did stay for a while, but one night she fell asleep and woke up in a different place with her siblings. She knew it wasn't never land immediately and could tell something was wrong. They went to the circus where the man in charge explained to them they were in a different world. And wendy, for once, wasn't really happy about adventure anymore. Especially when the adventure was a war.
