Dodger is a clever, sarcastic, street-wise, charismatic dog. He tends to be a person to think ahead and go out of his way to make sure things are either successful or work in his favors. He's a bit of a trickster, usually going out of his way to manipulate or deceive his way to get what he wants. However he is loyal, he is compassionate and he is extremely determined to help those he cares about most. He can appear very tough and thick-skinned and he is, but he can actually be quite sensitive and empathetic to people especially to people he likes. He has a strong sense of humor and usually doesn't let the little things bother him, he is immensely laid-back with most things. He has a pretty patient and open-minded spirit and tends to be free-willed, only going out of his way for those he cares about. It takes trust for him to be risky, and he can be risky if he needs to be, usually being adventurous and brave for whenever someone truly needs him to be. He's witty and quick-thinking, always prepared for emotional or other types of changes. He doesn't let too much bother him unless it risks him or his close of kin personally.
History:
Dodger was born in the alleys of New York City but found by a rescue shelter. His siblings and mothers got all adopted except him, leaving him alone in the shelter. He was in the rescue shelter for some time in his pup-hood, wanting to find some semblance of a family. Isolated, he used some of his skills to successfully escape the shelter and run away into the alleys once more. For a while he was on his own, until Fagin found him digging into his garbage and took him in. There he was with Fagin and the rest of his dog gang, and dodger got used to the routine very quickly. He found himself his own family and finally felt at peace for a while. That is until Fagin started borrowing money from a man named Sykes. Then things started to get bad, he would see his owner desperately pay back through pocket change, leaving them practically starving some of the time. Dodger was determined to save his family and got very quickly street-wise and was usually a planner for the group, being the unspoken leader. He would lead the dogs to either steal money, food or both to survive and prevent sykes' wrath.
One such day of survival he met a small kitten who was practically desperate for food, using his planning to good use he managed to get food. Only thing was he wasn't really thinking of sharing, much to the kitten's anger. He alluded the kitten for a small while, but the kitten managed to find him and his home. The gang accepted the kitten quite quickly and for a time, the kitten even earning the name oliver, was part of the gang. Until one day a plan went wrong and he was managed to be taken by a little rich girl by the name of Jenny. Dodger searched for him and found him, lead to believe he was forced to the house. When they 'rescued' the kitten, dodger was shocked and hurt that oliver preferred being there and wished to leave. Although he was hurt, he wasn't going to force oliver to stay. But oliver didn't get the chance to since fagin was planning to use him as a ransom, unknowing jenny was a little girl. Jenny in the process of saving him got captured by sykes to be used as ransom for the girl's father. Dodger and Fagin both planned her rescue and managed to get past sykes and his dogs. They eventually saved Jenny and went back to their home. Dodger even promised to keep an eye out should the cat need him again, and the little kitten promised to keep in touch also.
Things seemed pretty quiet for a while, until suddenly a pretty terrible storm hit his neighborhood. He awoke dazed and confused into a forest near a pretty creepy circus. Not far ahead he saw Oliver just as confused as he was. Determined to protect his younger friend, Dodger kept him close and the two entered the premises, staying there primarily for safety.
