Quote:"I have a brother?"
Name: Jordan Cavanaugh
Age:33
Where is the character from?: Crossing Jordan
Why did you pick him/her: she is one of my favorite characters
Picture:
Personality: Jordan is stubborn/headstrong young woman. In fact, she is too stubborn for her own good. She definitely got a short temper, which most likely Jordan had got from her father. She doesn't fear to curse if something doesn't go her way, whether a criminal got away, or she was tricked or anything like that. Jordan is a kind and caring person, but she doesn't trust people too easily, no matter what. It takes a while for her to let people in, especially after everything that she had gone through. Jordan is very abrasive and got absolutely no patience at all for criminals, ant criminal for that matter. Unless they are innocent and can prove it, then it is much different. She is a fighter, and she shows that a lot. Jordan never stops fighting for the rights of those who passed away, and even those still alive and she would do nothing else until justice is served and a lot of times it leads her into trouble, but that never discourages her from continuing doing just that. Her tough childhood toughened her up a lot.
Jordan isn't the kind of person to run away from danger, and won't mind to put herself in danger just to get the people who killed the victims that are in the morgue where she works at. She refuses to ask for help and will always claim that she would be alright. Also, Jordan does works with a team on each case but to solve it and get justice for the victims she would rather do so on her own, even if gets her into an argument with the people she cares form who care for her. She is a bad ass, as they say, and doesn't always likes to follow the rules, even if she is a good person and not bad. Jordan is very obsessive about cases and situations, and definitely compulsive and sees nothing wrong about that. She does things without considering the outcome and won't apologize for hurting someone unless it was by accident, or the wrong person or anything like that. Jordan has morals but doesn't usually uses them. She got a strange sense of humor and is strange in general. Jordan can be very manipulative and uses that a lot to get what she wants. That is just her for you. Jordan even goes as far as act as a cop, even if she isn't a cop.

To say that she is a pain in the ass would be an understatement. It is easy to hurt her feelings and anger Jordan as well. She does go over the top, to say the least, which says a lot. Jordan acts like Nancy Drew, and she might even go as far as actually seeing herself as such. Given that since she was raised by her dad after he was released from police custody and fired from the police station, she is a lot like him. For Jordan, however, that idea is actually a compliment, to say the least. As she is very close to him, ever since the death of her mother. Before that, Jordan was somewhat closer to her mom, more than her dad, so in some ways, she was like her mother, in fact, she was more like her than her dad, but after that, she became more like both her parents. Interesting thing is that she is good with the dead, then the living. Jordan, due to her personality doesn't have that many friends, but she cherishes those that she does have, just the same. She is the kind of person who actually takes every case she works on personally, and that tends to make her lose patience. After brief 'thing'with a guy she met at her dad's bar, which ended up terribly, she is careful with relationships, and won;t get into one lightly, unless Jordan is sure that she chooses the right guy if it ever happens. It is the same with guys friends, but that is even more complicated, as she fears that it will end their friendship, and she values her dad, and her friends greatly.
Jordan is a caring person, and the only people she trusts are her close friends, which includes a cop named Woody and she trusts her dad, the only family she got. She began to trust her brother before he supposedly jumped to hs death. Jordan at times doubts that certain people got good intentions even if they do, as it is hard for her to trust people, but eventually once they prove themselves to her, she ends up trusting them. She is pretty much an immature young woman, but she slowly matures. Jordan matures rather slowly, to say the least, but she won't an innocent person, but it's hard to say the same about a criminal. If someone frames someone, she will do all she can to prove it, and make the real perv/criminal pay. Jordan always gets the criminal and is definitely a great help, but her methods are not that mature or even subtle, but the opposite, to the most part. She always means well so.

History: Jordan Cavanaugh was born to Max Cavanaugh and his wife, Emily. She was born 6 years after her older half-brother James was born and taken away. Her parents had issues to Jordan's older brother but they worked through it, and they ended up conceiving her. Growing up, she was somewhat closer to her mom, even so, her childhood wasn't that great, but her parents loved each other and her. Jordan's dad was a cop and worked a lot, so it was mostly just her and her mother. One day she walked home to find her dad with a gun in the kitchen, and she heard a noise upstairs, and when she walked upstairs, she found her mother singing and cutting herself, which traumatize Jordan, who was some what close to her mother at the time, and loved both her parents. She was so upset and traumatize by that that she blocked it out completely. Jordan knew that they both loved her but her mother having severe mental issues scared her. However, it was because her dad gave James up and the fact that she cheated on Jordan's dad, as well as in general brain issues. Jordan witness her mother have mood swings, but as a child, she didn't understand what was happening.
Her mother spent some time in a mental institution when Jordan was 5, and it seemed to somewhat help her but not by much. When Jordan was 10, she had no idea that her older brother visited not long before her mother was killed.but when she came home she found her mother dead on the ground and her father held by cops, as they suspect that he killed Jordan's mother and his wife, but he never did. He was released eventually, but due to his obsession with finding out who killed his wife and Jordan's mother, he got kicked off the force. While he was a cop, Jordan and him started to reenact the crime cases he worked on. It started with her going down the stairs as a child, and him finding her spying her there, as he could tell, while he worked on a case and crime photos on the table, so he tried to convince her to go back to bed but with no luck, so he decided to use her help. They made it their 'game', even so, it wasn't a right idea or smart, but it helped him solve cases and they became close. Growing up, Jordan thought that she wanted to be a surgeon but when she became one, it didn't work out, as she was fired right after losing a patient, especially since her boss didn't let her do what she wanted to do, which could have saved her patient. It was the day she met Garret Macy, as her boss considered to rehire her but she refused and decided to work in the Morgue for Macy. However, Jordan ended up messing up and got fired again. Jordan was sent to LA, where she lived and attended an anger management classes.
Eventually, Jordan was rehired by Macy, as she returned back home to Boston, Massachusetts for it. She had ups and downs in her job but she proved herself. Jordan met Woody on one of her cases as she assisted him. However, like with other cops, he too complained that she can't be a medical examiner and a cop, but she still helped hm solve cases. The two slowly became close friends. Jordan met her brother and even thought he was a murderer, only to realize too late[as far as she was concerned too late], that he wasn't. That he never lied to her. Sometime after her brother jumped, she disappeared and appeared in a place she had never been to before.
Allies: Garret Macy, Lily, Bug, Nigel, Woody, James Horton, Max Cavanaugh, other good guys, Critic's Army
Enemies: Criminals, Ask That Guy's Army, Facilier's army, crooked cops
Plans: Her helping Critic's Army, reunite with her family and friends, Her getting with Woody
