An Offer You Can't Refuse (Jafar)

[Jason Scott]

(Ooc: March 23rd. Morning.)

Jason sighed as he made his way into the circus. He didn't hate his reptilian form as much as he originally had. The fact Moriarty had kissed him and wanted to be with him even if he was stuck like this certainly had helped. But he wanted to be human now not just for himself but Moriarty. Surely someone better would come along and it wasn't like he had much experience with romance. His self confidence was pretty low and right now he felt he leaned on Moriarty more than he should.

"I hate being stuck like this. At this rate we may never find a cure. I wish I could be human again. I'm free of Lord Zedd's control and I'm stuck as a snake. I'd give anything to be human again." said Jason.

He didn't notice he was no longer alone as he sat one of the bleachers wiping away tears as he hadn't realized he was crying.

"What am I going to do?" asked Jason.

Jafar would've lied if he said he felt respected or appreciated. Sure he felt like he belonged to the army and was loyal, but he was desperate to make more of a name for himself. Sure, he may have done good in the past, but soon these people would forget. He needed consistent respect. Also, the war didn't seem to end and although he was a magician, he did have weaknesses. Especially since both opposite sides had magic as well. Jafar needed to be stronger, better. Facilier had gotten stronger since being with Shaggy as familiars. Wait, that was it! A familiar! He just needed the right sap to pull it off. Jafar turned to see a young man, in cobra form, crying on a bench. Wallowing in self pity. Jafar snuck to a wall to listen but not show himself yet. He listened to Jason's words.

I'd give anything to be human again

Anything? Anything he said? Jafar's ears perked right up. This was definitely his guy. This was his chance! Jafar grabbed his sorcerer staff and put on the most sympathetic face he could make. He went over, like a angel or fairy godmother, and patted Jason's shoulder. With a soft, gentle voice he replied "There there my friend. No need to be in such despair. I couldn't help but eavesdrop" He sat near the cobra man without any permission and replied "And I think I can help you"

Jason paused looking up surprised as Jafar patted his shoulder.

"It's alright. I don't usually cry much. I think being this creature's messing with my emotions. That and the stress. I just found someone who loves me. I don't want to lose them." said Jason.

He paused realizing the man said he could help him.

"You can help me? But no one else can seem to find the answer. It seems hopeless. How could you help me?" asked Jason, curious and excited at the same time.

His sorrow is nearly gone and the chance of being human again is all he can think about.

"Oh what a feeling, love. Such a powerful and twisted thing isn't it?" Jafar said, almost absent with Jason's true emotions. Still, it have enough compassion in there to make Jason believe he was concerned for his feelings. Jafar patted his shoulder a little more before Jason heard his offer for assistance.

With a sly but almost unnoticeable grin, Jafar listened to the man's demands. With a glance at his staff, he replied calmly and almost with humor "Oh nothing, except use my powers to turn you human again, at your will. I'm afraid I cannot redo your affects as a monster, but I can make you control when and where you can be one" He then turned to Jason again and gave a 'tsk tsk' type of noise "Unfortunately, it's not a free power. I must have something in return. Can you do that for me?"

Jason nodded.

"Love can make you happy but also hurt you if you let it. And I don't want to lose it." said Jason.

He paused and listened to Jafar.

"So not completely but I can switch between my monster form and human form? This is great." said Jason.

He wasn't sure if the others could find an antidote. But this could be an opportunity he may not want to pass up. When Jafar said he wanted something in return.

"What could I give you? I don't have much money and I need my power coin to morph. Maybe you could take some of my skin, scales or venom while I'm in my snake form. I'm sure that'd be good for potion ingredients or spells." said Jason.

He was unaware that if he went through with this that'd already been part of the bargain.

"Or I could owe you a favor perhaps?" asked Jason.

"No one does, my boy. No one does" Jafar offhandedly comment when it came to the love in this equation. He then nodded with a soft hum as Jason put two and two together with what he was being given. He then pretended to not care about what Jason was saying until he asked for possibly owing a favor. Then Jafar fully showed his attention and replied calmly, and kindly "It's simple. Too simple if you ask me. Here's the deal, you become my familiar. You know how Facilier is with Shaggy? You'll be the same with me. I take your health and strength, you take mine. In exchange, you can form human or cobra man, whichever you prefer. Oh and you also have to work for me. Mostly small duties" That was a complete lie. Small duties pretty much meant duties that nobody with a soul would be happy doing. Big duties were twice as bad. But Jason didn't need to know that today.

He then replied, brushing dust off his staff, as if Jason's life wasn't all that much in this equation at all. He then replied "Oh yes, and one more thing, you cannot go back on the deal. Once you agree to it, you can't go back. If you do go back, you'll lose all your privileges" That wasn't all of the punishments Jason would be forced to face. But again, Jason didn't need to know that now did he?

Jason listened to him.

"So I become your familiar and I get to be human? Sounds like I'm getting more out of the deal." said Jason.

He paused as he said he'd work for him but he didn't see Shaggy having to do much for Facilier so it seemed like a good idea.

"So you mean stuff like fetching you food or something? That doesn't sound too hard." said Jason.

He blinked as Jason said if he tried to go back he'd lose all his privileges.

"Whoa. Privileges? You're saying I wouldn't be allowed to do some things?" asked Jason, confused.

He didn't want to do this and be forbidden from being with Moriarty because that was the reason he was doing this.

"I'm not so sure about this. I can't lose Moriarty. Would you promise not to ban me from seeing him and being with him?" asked Jason.

(ooc: maybe Jafar could pretend to think about but giving in. a simple request like that would be nothing compared to what Jason could potentially lose. and Jafar really wants jason as his familar right? xd)

"That is because you are my boy. You are getting everything you want!" Jafar said enthusiastically, patting the young man's shoulder in triumph. He then replied with a smile as Jason asked what type of work "Well getting food and other things like that. Simple and easy" Not exactly true but Jason would learn that later. After the deal was set of course. He then replied firmly "Well yes, you'd be weaker and you'd stay as a cobra man. You'd be cursed. That's the deal. That's how it goes" He then replied, almost mockingly "Of course you can always walk away"

He then pretended to ponder as Jason begged to stay with Moriarty. Such a fool this human was but who was Jafar to deny such a simple request when he could be asking for smarter, more challenging, things. Jafar hummed with dissatisfaction before smiling again "Ah I see no reason not to agree to something as sweet as that. I swear that you and moriarty will always be allowed to be together and not be banned. You have my word" And it was true. Moriarty would be allowed to be with Jason. It was the least he could do. Literally

(ooc: How ironic Jafar's actually granting a wish to someone after he lost his powers of being a genie. Sure he's getting his own way as well. And yet as a genie didn't give abis mal anything he wished for. xD)

Jason smiled at that.

"You're just amazing. Being able to grant my wish and make me human again. You're like a fairy godfather or a genie or my guardian angel." said Jason.

He nodded.

"That doesn't sound so tough. And you should get something out of it since you are helping me." said Jason.

He frowned at that.

"Then we should set the ground rules or something. I don't want to make this deal and screw up my one shot at being human because I misunderstood you later for something you told me to do." said Jason.

He knew he couldn't walk away from the chance to be human. That wasn't an option for him. He paused as Jafar seemed to consider his request.

"I can stay with Moriarty? Thank you." said Jason.

He reached forward hugging the man before blushing and letting go. He hoped he hadn't hurt him and felt bad he'd lost control of his emotions like that.

"Sorry. I guess I got carried away. You won't regret this. As long as I can be with Moriarty then being a servant for you doesn't sound so bad." said Jason.

He paused for a moment and decided he had to take a chance.

"I accept your offer. So what do I have to do? Shake your hand? Sign a contract?" asked Jason.

(OCC: LOL to be fair, he DID give what abis mal wanted in the end, but merely as a bribe and last-minute attempt)

"Oh stop it, you're making me blush" Jafar waved his hand dramatically. He couldn't believe this idiot was falling for it so easily. But he had to just wait just a little bit longer. He needed Jason to just say yes. He was even excited when Jason seemed to totally buy he was basically getting away with it. That is until Jason did have a braincell to bring up he wanted some sort of ground rules. Jafar almost cursed but he smiled, calmly "Very well. What kind of ground rules did you have in mind?"

"Well it is such a simple request. And you clearly enjoy the man. It seems fair, considering you plan to serve me" He then cringed, without Jason looking, as he got a hug. Jafar gently pushed the young man away and tried to smile again, and succeeded "Quite alright quite alright. Just.. be sure to be less impulsive next time" He then beamed a little delightfully as Jason finally, FINALLY accepted his offer. He grinned, snapping his fingers having a contract and two armbands near him floating. He replied calmly "Simply sign your name and these armbands will be on your wrists. No need to panic, it's only to ensure you under my protection and to summon you when you are needed" He then replied again, smiling more "All it takes is a signing and I will do my work to make a spell to do my end of the bargain"
