How Could This Happen To Me? (Open)

[Chihiro Ogino/Sen]

(April 28th. evening. Open to everyone in Critic's army.)

Chihiro groaned in her sleep. As she did she clutched her head as memories of her time in the Spirit World came flooding back. As she gasped waking up.

"HAKU!" shouted Chihiro.

She is in tears realizing she'd forgotten him, Rin, Granny, and everyone else from the Spirit World for awhile. She wipes her tears and stands up.

"Where am I?" asked Chihiro.

She saw another girl join her and then a duck dressed in odd clothing flew over to them. When he introduced himself she smiled.

"Hello. I'm Chihiro." said Chihiro.

Kiki yawned as she sat up glad to see her broom. She heard a scream rushing over to see a girl wiping away tears. She walked over to her.

"Are you okay?" asked Kiki.

She glanced around not sure where she was. But the other girl seemed upset. Hearing the question as she shook her head.

"I don't know. I don't recognize this place either." said Kiki.

She saw the duck join them and smiled at him waiting as the other two introduced themselves.

"I'm Kiki." said Kiki.

Gene flew out of the house spotting the two girls.

"New arrivals!" said Gene.

He flew over to them.

"Hello. Welcome. I'm Gene." said Gene.

Gene smiled as the girls introduced themselves.

Mira walked out spotting the group. She's dressed in a blue tankop and blue jeans, and a pair of white sandals. She walks to the group and smiles.

"Hello. I'm Mira. Welcome." said Mira.

[Lilo]

Cinema Snob also joined the greeting team. He felt it was high time to do so. The snob looked and was baffled to see two children. These poor girls. Snob felt especially sorry for animals and children coming forth to their army. Nevertheless, he gave the best smile he could give and replied "Hey welcome. I'm Cinema Snob. You both should come in. It's best you stick with us. It's a long story but you both should trust me when I say, you're not home anymore"

Lilo was simply walking to go get a drink when she strangely heard her voice talking. She turned to see yet another girl, who sounded like her. Yet it wasn't her. She gave a small smile. She was glad there were more human children, and human girls nonetheless. Sure, they looked older than her but Lilo wasn't picking by a long shot. Lilo also joined Gene, Mira and Snob greeting them and replied "Hi there! I'm lilo! It's nice to meet you both!"

One might have thought that Coraline would be more prepared for sudden travel to new worlds given her past experience, but she was still a kid. Admittedly, the pre-teen was frightened, discovering herself lost, but made a good attempt to try and play it off. Okay. It looked like a normal city. She just needed to find a cop or something, right?

She knew she oughtn’t get involved, but the blue-haired girl had her attention taken by the younger girl’s yelling. She wasn’t quite fast enough to immediately come upon the scene, but she did arrive in time to catch that these two other girls were stuck away from home too. A small gasp was uttered as Coraline saw the odd duck-looking creature and the supposedly sentient radio that appeared later. Apparently, this wasn’t such a normal city. Okay. She just needed to stay calm, but still be careful.

“Um. Hi,” she greeted awkwardly, obviously hesitant to get too close, “So if we aren’t home anymore, where are we then?”

Coraline was definitely not trusting, and maybe even feeling a little protective of the two other girls.

Radio was still shy about being animate around humans. He had sixty plus years of conditioning to overcome, so his reclusiveness could perhaps be justified. But, he was feeling particularly brave that day. He could join in on a greeting party. These were just a few girls -- maybe they’d think he was cool.

“Heya folks!!” Radio’s voice crackled through his speaker.

He leaned out from his hiding spot behind someone’s leg.

“Ah, don’t freak out or anything, alright?!  We're all harmless.  Well, at least I know I am!”

[Cinema Snob]

Snob looked down to see Radio come and leave away from his leg. He smirked at the little radio, always finding the little thing amusing. He enjoyed it. He then noticed a young girl, older than the other two or at least around the same age. Snob immediately saw distrust and anxiousness in her eyes. The snob felt sympathy for her and immediately went to be as kind as he could. He smiled kindly, trying not to be creepy or intimidating "You're in chicago, well, at least a specific chicago. Long story short, a crazy scientist working for one of our enemies made this machine that transports everyone from everything" He sighed softly "I know it sounds hard to believe but I'm telling the truth" He offered his hand "Name's Snob, what's yours?"

Lilo turned over to Coraline and beamed brightly. Another human girl! Sure it was yet another older one, but hey, Lilo could always make friends of all kinds. She waved to Coraline happily and beamed "Hi there, I'm Lilo. What snob said, hard to believe but you've been transported here. We all have"

(OCC: Just realized Dakota Fanning, the voice of Coraline, also voiced Lilo in Stitch has a Glitch. So not only do we have the original voice actor in the form of Chihiro talking to lilo but Coraline also talking to lilo)

Chihiro paused in shock seeing Lilo's voice just like hers.

"Wow. This is weird. We sound alike. We're like voice twins or something." said Chihiro, in awe.

Chihiro grinned at the new arrivals.

"Hello. I'm Chihiro." said Chihiro.

Chihiro was shocked at Radio as well.

"That's so cool." said Chihiro.

Kiki chuckled.

"That's kind of cool. Having the same voice. That's like got to be like a very low chance of that happening." said Kiki.

She smiled at Snob and grinned.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Kiki." said Kiki.

Kiki glanced down at the moving radio and grinned.

"A talking and moving radio? Is it magical?" asked Kiki.

Gene saw Snob and Lilo join them and waved.

"Hey. Come meet our new friends." said Gene.

Mira grinned.

"Hey Lilo. Hey Cinema Snob." said Mira, before looking up seeing others arrive.

"Looks like we have another girl joining us. Hello." said Mira.

[Jiji]

"I was about to say the same thing!" Lilo suddenly shouted, having her attention on Chihiro once again. She then beamed at Chihiro and replied "I guess something about that time porter thing critic talked about makes our voices sounding alike possible" She then turned to Kiki and nodded "I was thinking that when I heard her but I didn't want to say anything in the chance of being rude" She then turned to see a small black cat and beamed

"Nice to meet you Kiki. You both should come in. For safety. Long story, trust me" Snob then turned to Radio and chuckled a little as Kiki asked about it being magic. He replied with amusement "Well in your world maybe but not in his. Listen it's all complicated. I can explain"

"Well you better, because I'm getting proper confused!" Jiji, thanks to transport, got lost and seperated from his master. But he was quick on his feet and immediately was on her trail, which lead him to here. He turned to see Kiki talk to Snob and in time as Snob was trying to explain, hence his comment. The cat immediately turned to his master and jumped on her shoulder "Hi kiki, you ok? I got lost, I'm sorry"

Coraline stared bewilderedly as she heard her explanation presented. After a few seconds, she closed her slightly gaped mouth, frowning and pocketing her hands.

“Uh-huh,” she uttered.

It didn’t look like she believed a word. Or, if she did, wasn’t so willing to trust anyone. Who could blame her? After the psychological horror that was the Other Mother?

She looked down at the younger girl. Her incredulous glare waned before she began to chew on her lip.

Coraline did a double-take at the black cat. Quite suddenly, she tensed, realizing how noticable her reaction was. Fixing her hair, she tried to look casual.

“Oh. I thought you were a… another talking cat.”

The radio felt for a moment that maybe he ought to try and conceal himself, but managed to push past his natural instincts.

“Ha. Naw. Not as far as I know,” Radio said.

He couldn’t even say himself why exactly he or his friends were living. He just accepted his reality was as it was for the most part. He didn’t have a face, but he seemed happy he was being met with a positive response. The radio thrived off feeling useful.

[Chihiro Ogino/Sen]

Chihiro grinned.

"So cool. We could totally have fun with this. Make people think we were the other if they just heard our voice." said Chihiro.

She giggled at the idea.

"Maybe they just sounded alike before. If we're from different places then we wouldn't have met without this war." said Chihiro.

Chihiro glanced at Kiki.

"It's okay. You didn't mean any harm. And I think the chance would be pretty low for people to have similar voices. But then again when you add in other universes I think that chance would increase." said Chihiro.

Chihiro smiled at Snob.

"Thank you for your hospitality." said Chihiro, bowing to him.

Chihiro smiled at Coraline.

"Hello." said Chihiro.

Kiki smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to sound rude." said Kiki.

Kiki smiled at Snob.

"Okay. Sounds like a plan to me. I didn't have anywhere else to stay anyway." said Kiki.

Seeing Chihiro bow she did the same trying to be polite.

Kiki nodded.

"So different worlds have different rules? Interesting." said Kiki .

She grinned at Radio.

"Well it's nice to meet you no matter what the reason you can talk and move around." said Kiki.

She heard a familiar voice and grinned hugging him.

"I can understand you again! When I couldn't hear you talk to me anymore I was so sad. I almost lost my witch powers for good." said Kiki.

She smiled.

"It's ok. I didn't even know you'd come with me." said Kiki.

She turned to Coraline.

"You know other talking cats?" asked Kiki.

[Cinema Snob]

"Yeah. I know. I sound insane. But I'm being completely honest with you" While Kiki and Chihiro were being attended to by some people, Snob refocused his attention on Coraline. He beamed as the other two accepted his invitation but Coraline was a bit less accepting. And who could blame her. She wasn't like the rest. She seemed wiser than the other kids. She reminded him of himself when he was younger. He felt a need to especially protect her, god knew why. Snob replied softly "Listen I know you probably are more than happy to walk off, but trust me, if you don't stay here you might get hurt. You see, there's these two armies, with all types of villains" He sighed "Magic, science, lots of stuff" He then turned to Kiki and Chihiro and smiled to them "You're welcome. Both of you. It's not a problem"

He then saw the reaction she had towards the black cat and suddenly, like a bulb, Snob started to remember where this girl came from. "Wait, wait, what's your name sweetheart?" Snob asked concerned to coraline

"Oh it's okay! No harm done! It's just something we all noticed!" Lilo replied friendly to Kiki before turning to Chihiro again. She smiled towards her before noticing her bow and kiki bow "Oh wow. You're so polite" She then nodded "Yep. All new worlds. It should be cool though, considering there's all types of them apparently"

Jiji turned to Kiki and laughed slightly as Kiki hugged him "Hey, I always find my way back to you, you know that" He rolled his eyes "Oh yeah that whole thing. Thanks to saving tombo you got your powers back. Thank goodness, it was annoying to hear you say 'blah blah' instead of english. Jeez" He then shrugged as he stayed firmly and loyally on Kiki's shoulder "Talking radios huh? Yep. Definitely something funny going on here and Kiki's a witch" He then noticed coraline and watched her reaction "Oh are you a witch too? Or a magician? Cause those are the only people who have talking black cats"

“Pleasure’s mine, kiddo!!” the radio replied to Kiki.

He actually remained quiet for a while, apparently at a loss for any topical interjections. Radio did scoot off to one side as a big, ugly, black-and-white tomcat brushed past him.

“Uh. Yeah,” Coraline said in response to one of the girls, “The cat, uh, didn’t really have a name though.”

She then looked toward Jiji, hesitating before saying:

“No. I’m -- not a witch. Or a wizard. I’m just normal, boring Coraline,” she said, shrugging slightly, “And the cat didn’t actually belong to me anyway. He’s a stray, but he’s my friend.”

Turning her attention to the Snob, her expression returned to becoming incredulous. Coraline gave a glance to the other kids at length. Even if she was somehow being tricked, at least she wasn’t totally alone in a new world this time. She began to look more self-assured. Maybe it was because she thought she could find protection with the other kids, or maybe because she thought she had to protect them, but most likely, it was a bit of both.

“Alright. Fine. But I wanna see some proof eventually of these villains running around,” she scowled a bit before moving some of her hair behind her ear, “Or maybe I don’t.”

Coraline looked at the tomcat as it trotted around, briefly catching its eyes.

“Name’s Coraline. Cor-aline,” she stated, looking away from the tomcat.

Beetlejuice, shapeshifted to take the form of a tomcat, felt more than welcome to let himself around. The smelly animal gave the newcomers a few looks with his knowing yellow eyes. He let out a few gravelly-sounding “meow”s, supposedly in an attempt to sell that he was definitely a cat.

[Chihiro Ogino/Sen]

Kiki smiled at Snob.

"Thank you for your hospitality. We didn't really have a place to go anyway." said Kiki.

Kiki sighed glad Lilo wasn't mad at her.

"That's good. I didn't want to make a bad impression." said Kiki.

Kiki nodded.

"Yep. I haven't seen her before today so we must at least be from different towns." said Kiki.

Kiki grinned at the thought of other worlds.

"I can't wait to meet more people here. It should be really fun." said Kiki.

She smiled at Jiji's reaction.

"I know you would." said Kiki.

She sighed.

"I know. I was so scared and I barely saved Tombo that day. I almost lost my witch powers and a good friend that day." said Kiki.

She smiled.

"Yep. Although the only powers I have are talking to Jiji and flying on a broom. My mother didn't get to teach me a special skill yet. And you guys can understand him which no one could back home so this must be a different world." said Kiki.

Kiki grinned at the radio.

"Do you know any good stations to listen to? Some music would be good." said Kiki, curious to know what else the radio could do.

She nodded to Chihiro.

"Yep. I am." said Kiki.

Kiki paused seeing another cat meow as glanced up seeing him arrive.

"Do any of you have a cat? Or is he new too?" asked Kiki.

Chihiro nodded.

"She's right. I'd take a house with a warm bed or warm fire over being on the streets." said Chihiro.

She shrugged.

"Lilo's right it's fine. It's kinda of cool though that we have the same voice." said Chihiro.

She smiled.

"It's kind of a culture thing. I'm from Japan. I guess she is too. But probably from different worlds. Or at least different towns." said Chihiro.

Chihiro grinned at the idea of meeting more people.

"This is a great opportunity to meet people we'd never meet. We can make a lot of friends here." said Chihiro.

She glanced at Jiji and Kiki at the revelation.

"You're a witch? Wow. A real witch." said Chihiro.

She saw the new cat and then a vacuum cleaner arrived and spoke to radio.

"Talking cats, talking radios and now talking vacuums. And I thought the spirit world was the craziest thing I would see." said Chihiro, thinking out loud.

Kirby meanwhile drove up feeling odd as he spotted humans and cats. He was about to hide when he heard a familiar voice. Radio. And he was talking to humans. That was something he thought was mostly forbidden. He drove up curious to know why Radio was talking and so familiar with these people.

"Radio? I've been looking everywhere for you and Lampy. Why are you hanging out with humans like this? I thought we weren't supposed to." said Kirby.

He was confused and concerned. What if the humans were afraid of them or tried to hurt them?

[Jiji]

Cinema Snob turned to see Kirby but saw that he addressed the radio. Wanting to stay out of that, he focused more on the group of human children. He gave a odd look at the walking tomcat, despite it looking nasty Snob was somewhat fooled that it was a tomcat. "I better call the neighbors to see if their cat got lost" He mumbled before turning to see Coraline confirm her name. Snob replied gently "I know who you are. You're from a film in this world. What you went through was a movie in my world. I know why you probably don't trust me" He sighed softly "I know your story and I'm here to tell you I'm not someone trying to trap you. I'm just trying to get you home. Plain and simple. And I have plenty of visual proof for you, coraline. It's not any type of crazy scheme" Focusing more on coraline than anyone else at this point, he only acknowledged the other girls with simple smiling and responses of appreciation.

Lilo took over for Jiji, Kiki and Chihiro. Lilo listened to them explain where they came from and replied "Well I'm from hawaii, we just shake hands. It's cooler how you greet people" She then replied with a smile, enjoying the enthusiasm and curiosity the girls had. She felt like she could definitely get along with them. Lilo replied about the tomcat "Maybe he's new cause I haven't seen anyone with him" She then turned to them with a smile "You'll definitely meet new people here. And we're all pretty nice" She then turned to Kiki "Wow! Can you put curses on your enemies? Or learn to at least?"

Jiji turned to Coraline and nodded in understanding "I don't think anybody's boring but I get what you're saying. And hey, a stray cat is still a cat that can be with humans. Just at a distance maybe" He then turned to the tomcat and shrugged "Don't look at me. I wasn't with him" He then noticed his friend and master Kiki just respond to him with loving acknowledgement and assured her when she worried about Tombo by rubbing against her neck "Hey kiki don't worry about it. You got your powers and saved him. That's all that matters in the end" Jiji then rolled his eyes again as he noticed more people understanding him "Oh great now I actually have to join in a conversation without the excuse that I can't talk"

“Sure kiddo! Took me a while to get used to the new stations ‘round this place, but your old pal Radio can fix you up with some quality tunes no problem!!” Radio said in reply to Kiki’s question, “In fact, let me just--”

The little tube radio jolted before turning himself. It was hard to tell exactly what he was feeling, given his lack of a face, but his antenna stood up alertly for a moment.

“Hey, chromedome!!” Radio yelled in Kirby’s direction, bouncing slightly in place.

He paused, his antenna drooping and his posture slouching.

“Ahh -- well, it’s sorta a thing,” Radio stuttered, sounding guilty, “These humans are my pals, see. Look. I know it ain’t natural but -- it wasn’t me! It was all the lamp’s fault! He started it!!”

The Beetlejuice cat continued to pad around, brushing against legs, making a slight annoyance of himself. After a moment, he sat down and tilted his head, furrowing his brows.

“Hey! I don’t belong to no one,” he said suddenly, “There’s no owner who can tame me. Well. Maybe one. Pff.”’

He turned his head away disinterestedly.

“I mean, meow.”

Coraline gave the fat tomcat a glare once it spoke. She wasn’t sure she liked this talking cat as much as the others she met. Looking away, she eyed the Snob again. It took a moment, but she appeared to lighten up.

“Okay. Fine. Sure. I wanna see these bad guys,” she said, “They better be worth looking at. After what I saw, I’m not going to be impressed so easily.”

If nothing else, meeting the Other Mother face-to-face made most things seem less scary in comparison to Coraline.

[Chihiro Ogino/Sen]

Kiki shrugged.

"Maybe he belongs to someone? I mean Jiji's my friend." said Kiki.

She paused turning to Jiji.

"Maybe you could talk to the other cat. See if he has friends or family here." said Kiki.

Kiki paused overhearing Snob's comments to Coraline.

"Wait? Movies? Are you saying our lives are movies here? People watch them and know what happened?" asked Kiki.

She felt herself blushing knowing they'd seen her many screw ups like dropping that toy in the forest and replacing it with Jiji. How she'd messed up on her broom a few times. She just thought the people in town had seen it. Not likely millions or more in this world.

She turned to Lilo and smiled.

"We do that too. But bowing's kind of more common. Not everyone likes to shake the hands of a stranger after all." said Kiki.]

She shook her head.

"Some witches could do that. But I never really learned any of that kind of stuff. I was a good witch. All I can do right now is fly on my broom. I never learned any special talents like spells or potions yet." said Kiki.

She turned back to Jiji and smiled.

"And I'm so glad I did. If he hadn't made it...."

She trailed off not even wanting to think about that. She chuckled realizing more people seemed to understand Jiji now.

"At least you won't get bored when I'm busy with more new friends to talk to." said Kiki.

She blinked realizing the cat had spoken and hearing Chihiro's words she nodded.

"I thought I heard it too." said Chihiro.

She smiled as Radio was going to make some music but got interrupted by a reunion with a friend and she let them talk. When Kirby introduced himself to the group she waved to him.

"Hello Kirby. Welcome." said Chirhio.

Chihiro blinked in surprise.

"Our lives are movies? That's so weird and so cool." said Chihiro.

She paused as they mentioned the cat.

"I think Kiki has the right idea. At the least we could let the cat stay the night? If he's from this world someone will come to claim them. And if not he wouldn't be the first animal coming to stay here right?" said Chihiro.

When the cat spoke she blinked.

"Did that cat just speak?" asked Chihiro.

She smiled as Kirby finally introduced himself after talking with the Radio.

"Hello Kirby." said Chihiro.

Kirby glared at him at the insult and his eyes softened. He was just glad he was okay.

"Normally I'd be angry at that but I'm just glad you're okay. The five of us have never been separated for long. When you and Lampy disappeared it scared us." said Kirby.

He paused as Radio said they were his friends and the lamp started it.

"He always was a bit too reckless. I guess these humans seem alright. If they already know we can't change it now." said Kirby.

He didn't know them too well yet but if they'd befriended Radio and Lampy he'd give them a chance. He paused glancing at the group of humans and two cats.

"Hello. I'm Kirby. I'm from the same world as Radio and Lampy." said Kirby.

Kirby glanced at the cat who had spoken and was trying to hide it.

"I think you already let the cat out of the bag. We know you can talk." said Kirby.

[Tombo Finevoice]

Snob focused primarily on Coraline. Seeing the cat be a bit hissy was not necessarily his problem. He nodded, understanding where the young girl was coming from "I do have evidence for you. Actual recorded evidence. I don't know how we got it but we managed somehow. I can show you whenever" He then noticed all the kids and people coming. He enjoyed the fact Lilo was making more friends, seeing the girl make more friends was developmental to see. He then noticed Tombo and Haku appear very quickly and replied with a soft smile "You both are safe here. I can explain everything. It's best you all come in now"

Jiji then turned to Kiki and replied annoyedly "Why is it every time you have a problem with a animal you ask me? I'm not the cat whisperer despite the fact I myself am a cat" He allowed Kirby and Radio to have their conversation, ignoring the fact they were talking animatronics. Considering he himself was a animal that could talk, he shouldn't be so judgmental. Still he took a quick look at the two and smirked amusedly. He then gave a nod as Kirby introduced himself. He then turned to Chihiro and replied "Well considering I can talk, it's most likely he can talk to" He then turned to the new cat and replied "What Kirby said, no need to hide, we can all tell you can talk" He then smirked as Tombo showed up, whispering to Kiki "Hey now, it's your boyfriend!"

"Don't worry too much about that Kiki. My adventures were spread out too. We're movie characters in this world but I don't think humans are too nosy about them" Lilo replied as Kiki nervously asked about being a movie. Knowing snob was distracted, she decided to make herself a little more useful. She then nodded understandingly "I understand. Considering all the germs humans carry, it only make sense to bow" Lilo then turned to the cat and replied "I'm with chihiro and kiki. Let's keep him and wait til the owners, if he has any, find him" She then shrugged as Chihiro brought up the cat talked "Eh, could be worse, I once communicated with a dog to interrogate if he stole my peanut butter. At least he made himself known"

She then noticed Tombo and Haku. While Tombo made himself well known by shouting and racing, Haku was much more sutble and slowly walked. Lilo, tugging Chihiro's shirt and replied "Hey there's two boys over there!"

Tombo had no clue how or why he was here. But he hoped it would lead him closer to Kiki. He was worried about her since her disappearance. She could've been hurt or something. Tombo was scared to think about it. Which made it all the more better as he saw a small group of people. He then noticed a young boy following the same direction and replied "Hey you, do you have a idea where I am?" When the boy denied it, Tombo shrugged "That's okay. Maybe we should stick together and ask that group over there" He beamed and bowed back as Haku bowed to him "Nice to meet you, Haku. I'm Tombo" He then heard a familiar voice and replied to Haku "Scuse me for a sec" Before racing and replying "Hey! Hey! Kiki! Kiki!"

Haku woke up so confused. He knew for a fact this wasn't his realm anymore. And he also knew he wasn't here by choice. If he was, he'd remember the journey. In his human form, well better safe than sorry realms were impossible to tell about how'd they react to dragons, he walked to a small house. The small house had a aura about it that gave him a sense that Chihiro was there. If chihiro was here, surely there was something wrong. She was meant to be home. Although it would be nice to see her, she was meant to be safe. Haku had to make sure she was okay. He walked and was interuptted by a much more energetic boy. Haku shook his head firmly "I'm afraid I don't know where we are" He then smiled as the boy had the same idea he did. Feeling a need to be polite, he bowed to the boy "I am Haku" He then smiled as Tombo introduced himself but then ran to see a friend. Haku chuckled, slowly following, wanting to not be as obnoxious as his friend. He then stood still as Lilo introduced him and he noticed Chihiro.

Haku couldn't help but smile softly as he saw Chihiro. The young girl always managed to make him smile. He replied, to confirm lilo's suspicions "Hello chihiro" He replied calmly
