Quote: "I'm gonna be the very best witch that I can be, Mom. And I know having a good heart is important."
Name: Kiki
Age: 13
Where is this character from? Kiki's Delivery Service
Why did you pick him/her?: she's from a Studio Ghibli film and one of my favorite characters. Her witch powers will make her a useful ally as well. And I wanted to play another child character.
Picture:
Personality: She has a friendly, and upbeat attitude. She is stubborn and proud at time which can hurt her at times. Some thing she is a show off at first by her flying or weird so she's not quick to make friends. But she soon befriends her employers and some of her new clients. Ursula and Tombo were two of her new friends she met who weren't directly connected to her job. Jiji is her familiar and best friend. When she began losing her powers and being unable to talk to Jiji she was devastated. She later regained them and helped save Tombo's life.
History:
Kiki leaves home for a year of training to be a witch. She settles in a town by the sea. She meets Tombo but doesn't like him at first. But after making a delivery by returning a pacifier to a mother who left in a hurry with her child. In exchange for a room and use of her phone for her new delivery service Kiki helps out around the bakery. Osono is pregnant and can't work as much as she used to. Her first delivery goes bad as a strong gust of wind knocks a toy from a cage. Jiji is delivered in its place while Kiki returns to find it. She finds it in the home of a painter, Ursula. Ursula repairs it in return Kiki helps clean her floors. Ursula returns it to Kiki. Kiki later switches the toy with Jiji with the help of a dog who knew Jiji wasn't a toy.
After that her business slows down and she ends up working in the bakery more. But Tombo invites her to a party and she gets two deliveries to be made. One a heavy package which she flies across town and carries up a few flights of stairs which she delivers. The second is a pie delivery. But the electric stove was broken so Kiki helped them cook a herring pie in an old wood stove. Then delivered it to the customer's granddaughter who acts bratty saying she hates her grandmother's pies. Shocked and upset Kiki returns to the bakery. She arrives in time to see Tombo leave but doesn't let him know she's there. She puts her clothes out to dry but got sick from being out in the rain.
Osono finds Kiki has a fever. She brings medicine and oatmeal to treat her. Osono tells her Tombo stopped by but she politely sent him away. Kiki eventually gets better. Osono gives Kiki a delivery not telling her it's Tombo. When she gets there she's surprised but gives the package to him. Tombo shows her his flying machine. He'd put a propeller on his bike and takes her down to the beach to see a dirigibile. He teachers her how to turn and ride a bike. They get knocked off the road and the propller flies off as they crash. They seem to be ok and he goes to get his propeller while Kiki watches over his bike. Later some of Tombo's friends show up and Tombo asks her to join him on the dirigibile. One of Tombo's friends is the customer's granddaughter who hated the pie she'd delivered earlier. Kiki gets mad and leaves heading off to the bakery.
She begins to feel restless. She tries to talk to Jiji but is shocked to learn she can't understand him anymore. She tries flying her broom twice but each time fails. The second causes the broom handle to break. Feeling dismayed Kiki makes a new broomstick but still feels upset. Tombo calls to her excited about riding the dirigibile. She tells him to not call her anymore and hangs up. Ursula comes to visit her and compares her magic to art. That if she takes a break her magic will return. That she has a form of writer's block. Kiki goes with Ursula to spend time at her house with her for awhile.
Kiki eventually returns to town to learn she has another delivery. It's the woman from before who made the herring pie. She'd made a cake for Kiki asking her to deliver it to herself. Kiki is touched by the gift and thanks the woman. But the news breaks of a dirrigibile breaking free of its moorings and Tombo hanging from one of the ropes having tried with others to stop it from flying away. He didn't let go in time and was taken up with it. Kiki rushes out and borrows a broom from a street sweeper. She uses it to fly up to Tombo and catches him in the nick of time lowering them both to safety as the town cheers her rescue.
After that time passes. Osono has her child. Tombo and his friends build his flying machine and Tombo takes Kiki riding on it. Kiki resumes her delivery service and sends a letter home to her family about her life in the city. One day she ends up in another world and hearing about the war she's afraid. She joins Critic's army wanting to help but knowing she'd at least be safe there.
Allies: Okino (father); Kokiri (mother); Dora; Jiji; Tombo; Ursula; Osono Fukuo; Madame; Barsa; Critic's Army.
Enemies: Ask That Guy's Army; Facilier's Army.
Plans: join critic's army, gain some friends.
