Quote: "First rule of magic: Always be the smartest guy in the room"
Name: J. Daniel 'Danny' Atlas
Age: 24
Where is this character from?: Now You See Me
Why did you pick him/her?: To balance out Dylan
Picture:
Personality: Atlas is quite the egotistical one, always believing himself to be better than the rest. He's immensely intelligent, determined, independent and persistant. He is very honest to a fault, always saying what he thinks even if people are offended or don't agree. He does have enough humility though to look at everyone with potential as people with potential. He is cunning, quick-witted, sarcastic and consistently creative. He does have a good heart though, tending to others in their best interest, even if they do not like him or agree with him. He's caring and has a compassionate side despite his ego.
History: J. Daniel's early life is not very specific but what is known is that he was always ambitious. He grew up inspired by Lionel Shrike and became determined to be a superb magician, loving the abilities of deception magic could bring. He was successful and even though he wasn't anything particularly famous, he had received quite the reputation for being one of the more well-known classic magicians. He worked on a show, and relationship, with Henley Reeves but they broke up after Henley went to work as her own. Despite the resentment, she and him worked together along with Jack Wilder and Merritt Mckinney. He worked as the leader of the horsemen and went to do his then unknown employer's bidding, including ruining their former funder Arthur Tressler. They succeeded in avoiding the FBI and managed to impress Dylan Rhodes AKA Shrike. He agreed to work for Dylan but one year later, he began having doubts. He grew more and more ambitious. Distrusting the eye's purpose, convinced that Dylan wasn't giving him everything he needed to know. After a horrible failure of a comeback, exposing Jack alive and Dylan as their mole, Atlas had a strange feeling they were stuck in a hole. His suspicions were confirmed when he was forced to work for Mabry to steal a powerful computer chip, powerful enough to expose anyone.
He agreed, much to the anger of his co-workers, to mabry's demand. Although it was the cost of their lives, they wanted to be loyal to Dylan, Atlas was much less loyal and more concerned with his own skin. Eventually he got the chip but was confronted by Dylan and had a small argument with him. It turned out Mabry was the son of Tressler and was only getting them to work for them to humilate them and kill them. And they wanted Dylan. Dylan sacrificed himself for Atlas, Atlas realized that his distrust was in the wrong place. He defeated his enemies and joined Dylan in the Eye. However he ended up here, and despite knowing Dylan was trustful, he still felt he was not living up to his full potential. So he tried to find out what was going on within his terms. He ended up on ATG's army quarters and was convinced to join them.
Allies: Ask Thatguy's Army, Dylan Rhodes(Complicated)
Enemies: Dylan Rhodes(Complicated), Critic's army, Facilier's army
