Powers: Energy Pluses; Superhuman Strength; Enhanced Senses; freeze people telepathically; take control of people's minds; fire psionic blasts capable of killing people; Solid Matter Density Control, Intangibility, Energy Immunity, Imperviousness while phased or densed (Superhuman Strength; Immobility; Energy Resistance; Psychic Immunity; Superhuman Physical Resistance).
History:
Gabriel Ashlocke was patient zero on the mutant experiences Adam and Echkart made. His dna had all four types of mutants. Feral, Elemental, Psionic, and Molecular. The first mutant to be like this and there's only one other in existance with all four mutant types. He killed his parents with his powers and after Adam failed to stop him he was sealed away in a tube. Both agreed he was too powerful and a big threat.
Years later Ashlocke was released by mutants as he locked Mason Echkart in a tube. He formed a band with the mutants recruiting others calling the group the Strand. And the indiviual mutants were known as The Links. He was a womanizer and dated many of his recruits including Kim who later became pregnant with his child. But he soon fell for Shalimar deciding they were destined to be together. He began using his powers to enter her mind and got her under his control. But the team rescued her from him.
Ashlocke learned his body was becoming unstable because of his powers and he was dying. One of the mutants was a doctor who helped him numb the pain while he searched for a cure. He decided to revive an Egyptian Alchemist Avarice and using technology he projected what she looked like. Once he and his Strand members captured two crystals they would be able to revive with her some dna she'd hidden in them.
Ashlocke's team gained one of the crystals while Mutant X found the other. Ashlocke's doctor and girlfriend found a way to save Ashlocke by changing the process so Avarice could accept dna that wasn't her own so she could be revived. Unfortunately with only one crystal she would die in two weeks but that would be enough time for her to heal Ashlocke. One the process started Ashlocke killed his girlfriend saying he couldn't trust her and she went behind his back making all these changes. He threw her into the pit and her dna was used to revive Avarice giving her a new body.
The Mutant X team showed up with Shalimar, Jesse, and Brennan distracting Ashlocke and Avarice while Adam fused the two crystals and recited a chant to kill Avarice. Emma was backup to protect him. Adam completed the spell as they left. The building blew up with Avarice's death and they thought Ashlocke was dead.
Ashlocke survived and using a mutant with time traveling powers he went into his past to cure his 10 years old self so he wouldn't die. He was going to talk the young Adam Kane into helping him and then kill him. Which would change history. Adam, Brennan and Shalimar went through a second portal to stop Ashlocke. When Ashlocke killed Adam the future began to disappear. Jesse came through a third portal stopping Adam's death and saving the future. Ashlocke died in the past his powers finally killing him while Emma wiped young Adam's memories to not change the future. They then returned to the present.
Gabriel awoke in a new world finding out this world was set over 14 years in the future. He found Jesse Kilmartin was there as well and quickly overpowered him. He used his powers to make Jesse his servant and upon learning of the war they both joined Facilier's Army.
