Personality: The best word to describe Spoony is: Opinionated. He is incredably prideful with his opinion and if people do/don't like it he will not care, his opinion usually never changes to whatever he loves or despises. He is never afraid of his opinion and will always show others that he is proud of what he believes in, implying he is stubborn and faithful to his opinion most of the time. He is known for being opinionated and arrogant enough to challenge the most fanboyish of items.
Also, he is deeply snarky, smart alec and sarcastic, making him a very wry and smartass critic, which means when something comes up he usually reacts with a scoff and rude remark. He is also eager to exploit the stupidest of things in a movie to prove his point straight.
He also is a drama queen/over the top hilarity riot. This over-the-top dramatic part of him is mostly shown through some of his reviews, crossovers with other reviewers and even in all three of the anniversary internet films which shows much scenes of him reacting with much, much more emotion than needed. He is also is a emotional and hottempered soul, making his angry outbursts true from within his very mind. Unfortunately this gives him the torture of allowing the crappy games and movies to sometimes drive him into a rageful insanity
However, he is deeply intelligent knowing many technological data with games and specific knowledge of "Geeky" movies and games such as Gandalf from Lord of the rings. Another thing is that he has a very kind and friendly heart, being a bit more concerned over people and things he cares about than himself such as his robot pal "Burton" his puppy named "Oreo" and his best friend Linkara. He is admittedly brave and tough when needed as scene when reacting to many people fighting him, he usually attacked back, with a weapon heavily armed.
So in total, Spoony is a good person... If you just don't mention that he's in your way from a few feet
History: The story of the "Tandem the Spoony" mantle is, of course, an extraordinarily nerdy one that started at a Dungeons & Dragons table, where Noah played a swashbuckling (and often accident-prone) bard. While playing the game Final Fantasy 2, Noah came across a scene where the game's bard, Edward, was getting the crap beaten out of him by an old sage. During this Rodney King-esque beating, the sage howled in badly-translated Japanese rage "You spoony bard!!" Noah still doesn't know what the hell it means. Now he carries the name as an Internet handle, because-- while silly-- it's infinitely more memorable and interesting than Noah Antwiler.
Later on, the site was originally launched to host comedic, MST3K-style commentaries for more-modern movies complete with host-segments where the Spoonster is subjected to "Experiments," hence the title. Due to fidgety technical details, time constraints on the part of all the people involved, and a generally "meh" public response, the project was largely dropped. Now the site is host to movie reviews and various other miscellany. (From the "Spoony One FAQ". Today, he reviews games, movies and other situations as such.
In Kickassia, his past grew admittedly darker, Dr. Insano turned out to be inside him for sometime now and was growing stronger within his body. His arch nemesis was within himself and, throughout the movie, he was struggling between fighting the power or giving in. After constant peer pressure due to fear of the critic, Spoony gave in and became Dr. Insano. However Insano failed to takeover so everyone pitched in. Spoony however became better, it has been discovered that Insano's body tore out of Spoony's own body and Insano became his own man once again and escaped. Leaving a admittedly pleased Spoony behind
In Suburban Knights, Spoony was his own free man and was the leader of one team of the reviewers accidently getting into a horrible situation of saving the world. When they won it sadly left Ma-Ti, besides Critic spoony was proven to have taken the pain almost just as hard("MA-TI!!!!" *Sobs*)
Now after constant stuggle with sickness, food poisioning, physical problems and depression because of Ma-Ti's death along with no action from anywhere. Spoony was called by his friend/rival Pushing up roses to come by for Critic's new revolution. Annoyed at first, Spoony refused but seeing proof that Insano was actually succeeding in a harebrained scheme. Spoony took Burton and Oreo to his parent's house to be safe, packed his bag and went on his way. Finally, having the bravery to vanquish a past parasite now human enemy
Allies: Nostalgia Critic, Cinema Snob, Linkara, Chick, Pushing Up Roses, anyone in the ranks
Enemies: Dr. Insano mostly
Plans: To get Spoony to actually deal with more comical angst as well as perhaps get some of the web reviewers to support the dark past of Spoony?
