History:
John grew up as a normal child with two loving parents. He had the usual friends and things in life. He went to medical school and became a doctor. Then went off to war in Afganistan to help treat the wounded there. He returned retired from the army and bumped into Sherlock Holmes. Together they solved many cases together. Sherlock always found many ways to stump John but John did manage to help Sherlock solve many of the cases. Even if it just seemed in small ways at the time.
Their last two cases together before Sherlock disappeared were interesting. The first was different from their usual case load. It dealt with magic, demons, and sacrifices. John and Sherlock stopped a ceremony fighting off many men trying to save a woman from killing herself while under the cult's influence. The leader Lord Blackwood was caught as Inspector Lestrade and other cops arrived. They headed off leaving Lestrade to finish up here while the woman was taken to the hospital.
Three months later John is planning out to move in with his fiancee Mary Morstan. He talks with the landlord before meeting with Sherlock who is doing tests on guns. John tells him Sherlock needs a new case. Mrs. Hudson shows up and John is furious he was testing a new anesthetic on his dog. John asks him to come out to dinner with him and Mary. Sherlock refuses but John wants him to meet Mary. That night he does meet her and he analyzes things about John showing off his detective skills. He does the same about Mary but he thinks someone left her. But he died instead as Mary and John both leave. Sherlock eats alone before heading home.
John later meets up with Sherlock again on one of his experiments. Sherlock is playing his violin. John mentioned the drink is supposed to be for eye surgery not what he's using it for. He tells him Blackwood has requested to meet him and they head off to the jail. On the way they talked about Mary. John already knew she'd been engaged once as Mary had told him. Once they arrive John leaves to go on errands letting Sherlock go meet Lord Blackwood alone. After Sherlock met with him John showed up to Lord Blackwood's execution shortly afterwards as Blackwood was hanged.
The next day John arrives at Sherlock's home. Irene leaves passing him on her way out. She'd just offered Sherlock a case. John asks why Irene was here and Sherlock reveals he followed Irene in disguise to see her get jumped by two men but she scared them off with a knife and stole from them. Then she met up with a man in a carriage who threatened Holmes by showing a gun which Holmes backed off. Neither of them recognized him.
A cop arrives to tell Sherlock and John that Lord Blackwood had come back from the dead. Dr. Watson said he pronounced the doctor dead himself and was about to head off to meet up with Mary. But Sherlock says this is serious and could ruin John's reputation. John reluctantly goes with him to learn more. They go to Blackwood's grave where Lestrade and some cops are pulling exuming the grave to see if Lord Blackwood is still in there. John examines the witness to lord Blackwood's "revivial". John decides he's in shock from what he'd seen. They examine the body and it's not Blackwood's body in the coffin. The body in there has died 10-12 hours ago so now they need to find if Blackwood is still alive or if his body was stolen. John and Sherlock leave to try to find out what happened.
After heading off more clues they run into a psychic who starts reading John's palm. Talking to him about his friendship with Holmes, and his marriage with Mary. The psychic is revealed to be a sham as Sherlock says he's afraid to leave their partnership. But John demands his money so he can buy a ring. John then goes to buy one. John then leaves to go meet up with Mary and he family leaving Sherlock to continue solving the case on his own for the moment. John follows anyone too curious and reunites with Holmes saying he's staying for a few more minutes as they search an apartment. They learn through the notes the Lockwood was trying to combine science and sorcery. John then finds a paper with a crest realizing Blackwood was working with others.
But some of Blackwood's henchmen come to torch the place and destroy all the evidence. John and Sherlock fight their way out with Sherlock fighting Dredger while John takes on the other two henchmen. Dredger is Blackwood's strongman and the henchmen are hard to defeat. Until Holmes zaps Dredger with a taser and John knocks out one of the men. Dredger stumbles out again to fight but Sherlock tasers him again knocking him into the third man.
Dredger tries to run and Sherlock chases after him while John keeps his eye on the other two. Sherock uses the device again to taser Dredger a third time to learn what's going on. He asks who sent him and Dredger tells him Blackwood is back fro the dead and then grabs the taser away from him turning the tables as Sherlock is now forced to run. He grabs anything he can to take out Dredger who does the same fighting back. Their fight releases a boat from its railings.
John catches up with Sherlock and tries to intervene in the fight but the boat stops him from interfering int he fight much. Its chain holding it in place is flying towards them as John shoes Sherlock to the ground saving him in time as the chain flies into the harbor following the boat. Sherlock and John were arrested for what happened. John decides he's psychologically disturbed by going into situations where Sherlock is hiding his plans from him as they argue about him complaining or lack of it. John is furious saying Sherlock is trying to sabotage his relationship with Mary. Sherlock suggests going out to the country for a bit and John leaves with Mary who paid his bail.
After doing some solo work on the case Sherlock heads home and reunites with John who is packing up his things. Sherlock brings in one of the henchmen who died during their earlier scuffle and examines him. John is trying to ignore him while packing but indirectly helps him locate Blackwood. But John decides to not go with him tiredof solving cases. Sherlock leaves but John sees the gun is still there thinking Sherlock left it on purpose and decides to go with holmes. They sail across on a small boat to the factory. They try to stop Blackwod but he knew they were coming and taunted them before fleeing and lit the place on fire. He also showed a trapped Irene.
Sherlock rescued Irene while John began turning valves and eventually stopped the fire. A grinder starts as John puts Irene on her shoulders as Sherlock frees her. They get out only to see Blackwood taking their ship. John triggered a bobby trap that caused an explosion and Sherlock and Irene dodge the blast. They all survived but were separated in the explosion. They left separately. John and Irene later reunite with Sherlock in hiding.
Lestrade showed up to arrest Sherlock while he got John and Irene away to safety through a trap door. He's revealed to be part of the Order and leaves Sherlock with Coward. Sherlock escapes when Coward tried to kill him. Sherlock jumped out into the river where John and Irene were there to fish him out. Sherlock reveals it was all part of their scheme and Lestrade was in on it. Lestrade had slipped Sherlock the key earlier so he could break out of the handcuffs and escape.
They sailed to Parlimaent headquarters to save them and stop Blackwood's plans. Sherlock, Irene, and John fight their way in knocking out a couple of the men. Some of Lockwood's men try to block their escape. Coward introduces Lockwood who appears before Parliament. They keep fighting they way in while the Parliament members try to escape.
Irene breaks up a device and steals part of it. Sherlock chases after Irene leaving John alone to fight the henchman. John then knocks out the henchmen strangling him just enough until he passed out. Lockwood fled seeing his plan was ruined. John later is told the story of Sherlock reuniting with Irene. Sherlock fought Lockwood and retrieved the device. Lockwood fell to his death getting hanged by chains. Sherlock learns Irene's boss is Professor James Moriarty.
John and Mary arrive to see Sherlock hanging from a hook. He was trying to figure out how Blackwood survived his execution. Sherlock reveals a hook is hidden in the knot and John says he'd hate to interrupt him. John asks how he did it and Sherlock managed he did it with braces and belts. John eventually lets him down and they wonder how he stopped his pulse.
Sherlock revealed Blackwood used a toxin to paralyze himself and resume death. He tested it on the dog Gladstone. A cop arrives revealing one of the cops was killed during Blackwood's escape and they realize it was Moriarty who did it as he stole a piece of Blackwood's device. Sherlock vows to track Moriarty down and bring him to justice.
Watson comes to check on Holmes at 221 B Baker Street and learns of Holmes's newst case. Unrelated murders, terroists attacks and business acquisitions that Holmes believes are connected to Moriarty. Watson also invite Holmes to his wedding tomorrow who agrees to come. They leave together with Holmes in disguise as they head for Watson's bachelor party. Holmes and Watson meet Mycroft at the bachelor party who tells him he's trying to make peace between two nations or he'll have to go to a peace summit in Switerzerland.
Watson gets distracted while making a toast for John and learn Holmes forgot his party and didn't invite any of his friends. So Watson goes off to gamble while Holmes meets with a gypsy fortune teller Simza and defeats an assassin sent to kill her. Watson wins but ends in a brawl to collect his winnings after Holmes accidentally knocked his money off the table. He tosses Mary off the train to protect her where she's picked up by Mycroft. Watson gets mad at him and they fight but are interrupted by more assassins they're able to stop thanks to Holmes's booby traps. They escape climbing outside the train and head back inside another room sending a couple to 2nd class to protect them while defeating the assasins as well.
Watson reluctantly agrees to rejoin Watson in this case knowing his life and Mary's are in danger as long as Moriarty is at large. And Watson asks where they're going as Holmes says they're going to Paris. They reunite with Simza in Paris who reveals her brother Rene is working for Moriarty and Simza was targeted because Rene might have told Moriarty's plans to her. They learn of drawings Rene sent her as clues to Moriarty's plans. Simza takes them to a former anarchis group Rene and Sizma were part of. And they soon learn they planted bombs on Moriarty's orders.
The leader, Ravache, kills himself because Moriarty doesn't want loose ends and this would keep his family safe. They escape out of a secret passage. Holmes believes at first the bombs are planted in the Paris Opera House but learn too late they're planted in a nearby hotel that kills several businessmen includuing Alfred Meinhard. Meinhard's death allowed Moriaty to gain ownership of meinhard's arms factory in Germany.
The trio goes there following clues in Rene's letters.
Once they arrive they split up. Moriarty captures, interrogates and tortues Holmes while Watson fights off Moran. Holmes reveals Moriarty's plans correctly as Moriarty plans to start a world war to make himself a fortune. Watson uses a canon to destroy the watchtower Moran is hiding and itcollapses into the warehouse that Holmes is imprisoned in. Watson, Simbza and Holmes reunite and escape onto a train as Holmes learns the final target is the peace summit in Switerzerland.
Once there Holmes reveals Renee is the assasin in disguise given surgeryy by Dr. Hoffmanstahl. Holmes and Moriarty end up battling in a game of chess while Watson and Simz try to sto Rene but Moran kills Redne first. Holmes reveals he replaced the doctor's personal diary with a duplicate and the origianl was sent to mary to be decoded. And all of Moriaraty's assest were donated.

Watson receives a package containing a breathing device. Watson leaves to find the delivery man believing Holmes is alive. Holmes meanwhile sneaks into the room and types a qeustion mark after "the end"
After reuniting with his friend briefly they were separated as Holmes disappeared again. Watson figured he was off on other cases and now that he had a new married life and focusing on his career as a doctor he kept in touch with Hudson and Lestrade in case they heard from Holmes. But one day Watson disappeared and ended up in another world entirely. He was captured by Facilier's army and enslaved to Moriarty by Malachite to serve Moriarty as well as be the army's official doctor as other medics had little to not experience in the army.
