Trying Something Romantic

[Seven Of Nine]

(OCC: A incredibly bad title again. March 16th, evening. Seven of Nine/Mechakara thread)

Seven was unsure when Mechakara asked her for a date, but because it had something to do with them being alone she immediately said yes. Behind everyone's backs, she did everything she could do get ready, a little research if you will. Dating was a dinner or a special occasion of special quality time for couples apparently. So dating was basically a treat to go out with someone's love. As seven figured this out, she then was even more excited, special time alone with mechakara sounded like paradise. Then she looked for the requirements and learned she needed to dress fancy or at least look "pretty". And she did her best, she borrowed clothing, she convinced one of mechakara's girls(DarkHeart) to help her with makeup and the rest just followed suit.

Despite that though, she was unsure. What if she looked terrible? What if mechakara planned something completely different? What if she said the wrong things? All these questions came into her mind. She wasn't in anything particularly fancy but it was definitely different from her usual one-piece getup. She was in a white blouse with a tan skirt which fell down to her knees, revealing a bit of her legs and her makeup was rather simple, light pink eyeshadow and red lipstick. She hoped it was ok for tonight. She hoped she looked angelic for mechakara's pleasure. She looked up as she heard footsteps and quickly looked down, embarrassed of herself. Oh my I must look so horrible "This is the best I could do, lovely. I am sorry"

[Mechakara]

Mechakara was busy preparing for this date. He'd dressed up in his normal clothes. Black Lantern Spoony, Smith, Insano, and Insuedo had tried to help him. They said it was a special occasion. They had convinced him to dress the part. He felt ridiculous and uncomfortable in those clothes so he'd switched back to his normal attire. And instead used a holographic program he installed into his body to change his clothes to appear to now look like a blue dress shirt, black pants, and a pair of black shoes. He was nervous as he walked to her door. He heard the giggling and cheers and he'd almost lost his nerve a couple times. But BLS had talked him out of it. That this day was about both of them and in a way Mechakara felt like he owed it to her. He hadn't spent much time with Seven alone even before he was brainwashed. He just didn't know what to do. This was awkward but he knocked on the door. He opened the door seeing her and grinned. He glanced at the clothes and dismissed them never really caring about clothes.

"Clothes don't matter to me Seven. You do. You could wear anything even rags or a paper bag and you'd still be beautiful. I personally don't see the big fuss about clothes. But Black Lantern Spoony and the others talked me into dressing up. I chose to use a holo imager to change my appearance. If this doesn't look right I could pick something else." said Mechakara.

He wanted her to be happy. She had helped rescue him, his daughters, and Insuedo from Facilier's army. In a way he felt like he owed her this night at least. To show how much she mattered to him.

"So are you ready to go?" asked Mechakara.

Seven saw Mechakara's clothing and immediately, her face lit up with delight, seven didn't care about the clothes but the fact mechakara wore them for this regardless of his feelings was incredibly sweet of him to do. It made her feel incredibly special. She felt even more special when mechakara said that her clothes didn't matter and she did, that she was pretty regardless, and that he chose a holo imager seeing no point to all this chit-chat about clothes. She grinned and gave mechakara a hug and a small kiss on the cheek "I do not care for this clothing nonsense but the fact that you did this with the holo imager for me was incredibly nice of you. You look perfect. You always do though"

Mechakara's desire to look right and make her happy made her feel like the luckiest girl in the world. She was already happy thanks to mechakara just being there for her now. She then nodded excitedly and asked softly "Yes, but where are we going to go, lovely?" She was excited now. This was starting off pretty well.

[Mechakara]

Mechakara smiled seeing Seven was happy.

"I'm glad you are pleased." said Mechakara.

He smiled at her compliments.

"And you are lovely as always." said Mechakara.

She paused at his question.

"I'm not really sure. I didn't really think that far ahead. I do not need to eat while I'm not sure if you do. You are partially human now. But sitting in a restaurant wouldn't be much fun either. And I don't really care for normal human past times like going to see a movie. Do you have some place you'd wish to go?" said Mechakara.

Seven smiled again, flattered that Mechakara really did want her happy. She too wanted his approval in some sense. He already approved of her as a whole but it was great to see him smile. "I too am glad your pleased. I love it when you smile. You look so wonderful when happy" She kissed his cheek again, delightfully.

"Thank you, mechakara. I am pleased I look flattering to you" Seven replied. Although neither of them cared what they looked like, it was good to compliment one another. And be sincere about it. She knew that much was something humans liked to do to one another. Being complimentary and whatnot.

She pondered, not bothered at all by the fact Mechakara had no idea. She didn't either. Maybe that was why this was good for them to have a first date now. So they could learn how to be together more. "Let me think" She responded calmly. She then remembered a idea "Ah, well since we don't eat nor have human attention to see a film. Perhaps we can go somewhere away. What was that place Doctor smith mentioned? Ah! The park?" She was bringing up ideas. Unlike the hero team, she had no bad experiences with the place and wanted to see it.

[Mechakara]

Mechakara grinned.

"It is a strange feeling. I rarely smiled before unless it was because I was defeating my enemies. But first my daughters, my friends and now you. I've changed. In some ways I think I've become more human than I planned. This body you see was my former master the Linkara of my world. I was one of his robot slaves but I killed him and took his body. I never felt this way as Pollo so perhaps my cyborg self is being affected by my humanity more than I realized. I know it's different for you. You started as human and were turned into a cyborg by the Borg." said Mechakara.

He paused looking at her realizing he never thought to ask how she was adjusting to no longer having the hive mind.

"I am a fool. I've been so obsessed with revenge and my daughters that I forgot about your needs. You have been separated from the Collective for quite awhile. Are you adjusting well? Do you miss the hive mind? Because I would let Insano and the others like the two of us together if you wished. It wouldn't be the same as what you used to have but you wouldn't have to be alone in your head. If you wanted that is." said Mechakara.

Mechakara grinned at her.

"You always look beautiful to me Seven of Nine. You could wear a paper bag and I'd still think you were beautiful." said Mechakara.

Mechakara grinned as she decided on the date.

"A film could work. So could the park. We do need to turn on our holographic technology though. We both have cybernetic parts that could attract attention. I'm not sure what's playing right now. I'd prefer not to see a movie with robots or cyborgs. They usually lose and I'm not in the mood to see a film like that." said Mechakara.

Seven Of Nine

"I have a belief that people and all kinds of things evolve. So your compassion and empathy, as well as your care for others is for the better. You changed and I think that has benefited you" Seven of nine replied. She nodded "Still, you're right. It is a very strange feeling to feel love for another. But I do not mind the feeling. I actually appreciate it" She was aware that she was previously all human but thanks to the borg, it was few memories and many were very fractured as they were. Now, she regretted being part of the borg but she still kept moving on for herself. Mechakara's appearance in her life certainly made it much easier to move on. She then listened as Mechakara asked with concern about her needs and the fact about the hive mind. She was so busy here, she somewhat forgot about it. Now that it came up, she smiled at the idea of them together "I would love the two of us to have a deeper connection. I do feel a missing for the hive mind but it is not a powerful feeling. I suppose my time here has lessened my need with it" She didn't know why this was happening but she didn't mind it. Unless it hurt her or others.

Seven of nine smiled and looked down, if she could she would blush a lot more "You flatter me a lot, Mechakara. You really do make me feel beautiful" She then listened as mechakara politely agreed with her suggestions and replied "Well I have not looked up movies and we can easily find a way to hide your hands and the area of my eye. The park would make more sense and less work" She shrugged again. She was easy for she never really BEEN to a date like this before... or ever at all.

[Mechakara]

Mechakara frowned at that.

"But those are human emotions. I am a machine. I wonder if this cyborg body or this magic I possess has changed how I feel. I used to just feel anger and hatred at my enemies. But these other emotions are so new. Compassion, and love. I am grateful for that one. I love my daughters, my friends and especially you." said Mechakara.

Mechakara smiled at her.

"If you like we could find a way to recreate the Borg link. It might be a good idea to link ourselves with my daughters and Rodney. Become a new Collective. It would help us if were in trouble. We could modify it so we could disable it if we wanted to be alone like for dates or to think. I mean you have spent many years linked with billions. A small handful may not be the same but it might help you adjust better." said Mechakara.

Mechakara grinned.

"I am glad to flatter you. And you are beautiful no matter what I say." said Mechakara.

Mechakara nodded.

"The park it is. We can always think of another place afterwards." said Mechakara.

He smiled as they headed out of the house and walked towards the park.

"I understand dear, perhaps it may be something different in your systems but I am glad for it myself. Because I love you. And I adore the children" Seven of nine beamed. She understood her love's confusion but she preferred that he had emotions than not have any. It made him who she loved. It made them what they were now.

Seven of nine beamed at his hive mind idea, not only would it make her feel more safe, it would definitely help them communicate better. She gave him a small hug and replied "That would be very thoughtful of you, Mechakara. Thank you" She then held his hand and smiled as he complimented her once more "And you are always so handsome" Then she followed him as they went on their way to the park "I believe the park should look nice for us. At least I hope so"

[Mechakara]

Mechakara nodded.

"I guess we can explore these new emotions together." said Mechakara.

He nodded.

"Only if you wish it though. Being a Borg was forced upon you and I want you think about this. You've been without other minds linked to you for weeks. If we do this we may not be able to undo it. At least not completely. I want to help you but make sure it's what you want." said Mechakara.

He smiled as they walked towards the park as he found himself subconsciously reaching for her hand before he realized it. He grabbed her right hand with his left hand now standing to the right of her and smiled nervously. Fighting his enemies he could handle. Even pain while being rebuilt. But these feelings and emotions, especially towards Seven of Nine, were so new to him. He hoped he could do this right.

Soon they had reached the park as he didn't let go of her hand but kept walking on a sidewalk trail around it. Content to not let her go and not wanting to be too far from her either.

Seven Of Nine

Seven of Nine nodded with a smile as Mechakara suggested to learn together. She then nodded considerably as Mechakara was actually allowed HER to make the choice. She nodded and replied "You're right. I shall give it some time. But I am sure I will still say yes. Because I trust you far more than anyone else, Mechakara" She beamed at that, feeling a little happier than usual after saying this. Then they left for the park and she turned to feel a hand grab hers and she beamed when she saw who's hand it was. She leaned against him somewhat as they walked.

When they made it to the park, she looked around, so amazed by the simple weather. It was new to her to just be relaxing and taking a walk. She beamed at the beauty of nature and replied "I never realized how much I appreciate nature. This park is very pretty"

[Mechakara]

Mechakara nodded.

"I know you do. I just want you to be sure. Once we connect we may not be able to undo it again without causing damage to us." said Mechakara.

He smiled as they made their way the park. When she spoke he smiled.

"Not as pretty as you." said Mechakara.

Seven of Nine listened, considering Mechakara's words. She was very trusting but seeing that it could cause damage to them all was still a risk. Seven nodded again "You are right. I will think it over before I give a final answer" It was better to think the options before saying yes. The risks may be higher than the pros of the situation. She then listened to his compliment to her and she couldn't help but smile at him "You always have a way with words" She then pulled him close and gave him a tender kiss

[Mechakara]

Mechakara nodded.

"That's all I ask." said Mechakara.

He chuckled.

"So I've been told. But it's nice to hear it from you." said Mechakara.

He was surprised as she kissed him and he returned it. He glanced around the park. It was ok for a park but he'd never found organic life appealing just saw it as shrubbery and plants. But if Seven of Nine liked it perhaps he'd make sure to have parks or gardens in his part of the world when they took over. Or a greenhouse so she could monitor the plants better.

[Seven Of Nine]

Seven smiled at mechakara as he responded to her. She then noticed the park. Like mechakara, she didn't see anything in particular interest her. Just appreciative of the time spent with mechakara and how nice it was outside. The sunnyness of the day satisfied her more than the plants. Except for one bush in particular. She turned to see a bush filled with cherry blossoms and beamed ear to ear. She had no idea why but she found it absolutely beautiful. She turned to mechakara and replied "Oh look at that bush mechakara. That one has the nicest flowers on it. It's so beautiful. We should give some to bring back to your daughters"
