Why did you pick him/her?: Many reasons, drama, he's a awesome character, he's badass and I love Raphy.

Personality: Raph is the basic example of tough-guy/good-hearted hero. He's hot-tempered, fiesty, sarcastic, brave, rash thinker and actually coldhearted but only to his enemies. Despite that though he's undyingly loyal to his family and does believe in honor and being a good person. He may be a tough guy and only believes in fighting, he does have a good heart. He's incredibly stubborn sometimes but once you can get through to him, you really get through to him. He can sometimes be arrogant but overall he's actually very humble and soft-hearted. As all said above, Raph has a terrible temper, has a lot of sarcasm, can be incredibly sharp-tongued, courageous and quick to action yet he is incredibly loving, sweet, affectionate and warm-hearted, especially with loved ones. He can be very protective of his family and is never one to back down from a fight when their lives are in the balance. You can always count on raph to have your back when you need him. He can be incredibly fun to be around once he trusts you and he's never one to turn down from having a good-old roundabout.
History: Similarly to master splinter, Raph was one of the four baby turtles who were released accidentally into the sewers and during that time a can of ooze from a utrom industry truck fell into the sewers and onto him and his brothers. Splinter took pity and helped them, take care of them and bring them to the sewers for safety, he then was mutated alongside his brothers and splinter, eventually the turtles developed into human-like creatures, raised by splinter as his children and as his ninja students. Finding a italian artist book, he was named after the painter raphael and many adventures he had with his family. Still to this day. Raph was sucked here by Insano's device and was lied to by Ask Thatguy to stay on his side and not long after him, Raphael kept Michelangelo with him, unknowingly helping out with the lie he was told. The two turtles struggled with Splinter and Donatello to see who was really in the right side and it turned out to actually be The critic who was the good guy, not Ask Thatguy, who manipulated them. After Michelangelo's capture from Facilier, something that Raph blamed himself consistently over and brooded over which caused him to stay away from many of the members, the two were reunited and realized the truth to Ask Thatguy. Despite Loki, the god of mischief, attacking the both of them, the two survived and returned to Critic's side.
Yet trouble was still there, Leonardo was still brainwashed by malachite to Facilier's side and the worst part is that leo completely forgot them and is brainwashed to believe that only malachite is his family and master, Raphael struggles with this and promises to have his oldest brother back. He doesn't know the trouble his family has to go for leo to return but he will and he will be very unhappy with it. It also doesn't help Raph wants to redeem himself for what he has done in the past, despite no-one blaming him, he wishes to make up for his mistakes. He wishes to set things right and get critic and the army to trust him more than they already do.

Plans: Since his arrival of being on the heroes is completed, he now is gonna suffer lots of guilt and in need of redemption. He will have major conflict over leo due to his brainwashing, he'll eventually reunite with him because leo will snap out of it soon. But of course suffer guilt and worry because splinter gets captured for a little bit too. He has and will still stick very close to Mikey, very protective and concerned for him and of course be close to Donny too.
