Kaa forgot that Jim didn't know but it turned out to not matter. As seen that the boy moved around ridiculously and pretty much nothing like a monkey. Kaa hissed in laughter, enjoying it far too much. Eventually he slithered to the boy and commanded "Alright you did enough, even if you didn't know what a monkey wassss" He beckoned Jim to come closer before giving him another command "Alright, now make up a ssssong and sssing it!"

Jim nodded still hypnotized glad he pleased Kaa waiting for his next order.

"A song? Hmm. I've never really sung before." said Jim.

He was puzzled as he had no idea how to proceed so he just started humming trying to think of a song. He soon thought of one and sang a short song a bit off key but soon he was done and was now waiting for his next command.

(ooc: sorry couldn't think of a song so just kind skimmed over it. lol.)

Kaa hissed with laughter as Jim finally finished a off-key song. This was hilarious. If only he had someone to record this. Kaa eventually decided maybe it was best he snapped Jim out of it. Kaa didn't have any more requests and he had his fun. The snake slithered over to get Jim to sit down and replied "Alright, when I count to three, you will wake up and remember what I did" He hoped he wouldn't remember Kaa attempting to eat him but it was a risk he was willing to take. He counted "One, two, three, you're awake!"

Jim paused as Kaa slithered over to him and told him to wake up and remember what he did. Jim stepped back in a daze.

"Wow. Singing and dancing. I'm glad no one else saw that. I looked like a dork." said Jim.

He did remember Kaa looked like he was going to eat him but he stopped. Jim knew Kaa could have swallowed him whole and likely no one would ever found out about it.

"Thanks for not eating me. I'd rather be your friend than your meal. If you still want to be friends." said Jim.

"I know! It wasssssss ssssssoo funny!" Kaa hissed with amusement as Jim snapped back to normal. His laughter ceased though when Jim thanked him for not eating him. The snake at first looked down with shame before replying back honestly "Honesssstly I have been ssssoo ussssed to being near nasssty humanssss. I never had a human assss a friend. I really want one" He slithered to Jim's lap before sighing sadly "I'm sssssorry for what I did. I guesss I wasss being ssstupid"

Jim chuckled. In a way it was like a funny prank and he didn't mind. He'd let Kaa hypnotize him. A prank was better than being lunch. And he knew how close he'd come to ending up in the snake's stomach. And yet he didn't fear Kaa as much as he probably should. It was just his nature and something he was used to doing in his world. Eating to survive after all.

"It's ok Kaa. I won't hold it against you. You've lived your life trying to eat and survive. Eating animals, humans. Whatever you could get. The fact you stopped yourself shows you can adapt and change. I'll make sure you never go hungry. Although if you end up eating someone from the other armies I won't stop you." said Jim.

He smiled at the snake.

"And I've never met a snake before you or had one as a friend. And I hope in time we can be really good friends." said Jim.

(ooc: I do think maybe you could eventually have Kaa & Mowgli either be friends or form a truce at least. Both seem to care about Jim. Mowgli is his younger adopted brother and Kaa is his new friend. Plus Kaa was Mowgli's friend in the original books so would be interesting to see how you handle it as I don't think they've been in a thread together yet right?)

Kaa was surprised Jim wasn't reacting like humans seemed to react. Either it was because Kaa was so new to him or the fact Jim just had a strong sense of humor, either way Kaa was pretty grateful Jim wasn't berating him for attempting to eat him. It would only make the guilt worse. He chuckled slightly as Jim said he wouldn't be too upset for eating a enemy. But was rather grateful to hear Jim help him out. Still, he had some pride and replied assertively "You don't have to help me. It'ssss not your problem. It'ssss mine. I need to take care of myssself"

"We can be good friendssss. Essspecially when you're ssssso kind" Kaa replied with a happy grin. He slithered a little more comfortably around Jim's lap. He looked around and gave a soft sigh "I mussssst admit. Being in thissss city mussst be strange considering you're from another world"

Jim smiled at him.

"I know but I still want to help. But I understand wanting to look after yourself. Just remember that you'll always have a friend an ally in me. If you need backup or someone's not taking a hint let me know. I can always get my parents to deal with it if necessary." said Jim.

He didn't make offers like that lightly. Although he hoped he never had to use it. People should respect Kaa for the cool animal he was as well as his hypnotic abilities. He then was surprised as Jim slithered into his lap.

"Good. I'm glad we can be friends." said Jim.

He nodded.

"It was and adjustment. This world is so primitive compared to mine. We have aliens, robots and flying vehicles in my time. Space travel too. But I have my family, my friends, and my boyfriend. Black Lantern Spoony. It would be a lot harder without them." said Jim.

Kaa was quite appreciative of his new friend's kindness. Kaa wasn't used to this type of behavior, so he was going to make most of it. Kaa nodded "I will keep that in mind. Thank you" He then nodded "I am glad too. It'sssss nice. I never had much friendssss before"

He then nodded as Jim explained he adjusted fine, particularly because of his new friends, family and boyfriend. Kaa was rather interested now. What made BLS so important? He couldn't help but ask. So hesitantly he brought it up, Kaa asked "Do not be annoyed with me, but might I asssssk why are you ssssso interesssted in the lantern man? He'sssss very strange. What makesssss him so attractive?"
