Jim smiled as he sat on the back porch. He'd cooked breakfast as usual. And everyone was now out training or in the lab practicing. His arm was still healing so he couldn't go anywhere. Although the date last night with Black Lantern Spoony had been great. He'd even gotten a lantern ring to protect himself. He never thought he'd fall for someone so hard and he had. He just felt blessed to have BLS in his life and he just didn't want to screw it up. He sighed as he sipped his soda. He smiled just deciding to enjoy the refreshing breeze not realizing someone was joining him.

Kaa had no reason to train today. He didn't seem to feel the need to, nor did anyone really want to spar with him. So he felt the need to slither around the house to amuse himself. Not only to amuse himself but to actually see if there anybody else here he could chat to or annoy. He looked around and eventually came to the back porch, seeing Jim Hawkins there, drinking some soda and seeming to enjoy the breeze or whatever he seemed to be enjoying himself about. Kaa, curious over the young man, went over to eventually look him up and down "Well now. What'sssss got you so happy? You sssseem to be thinking about ssssomething I noticed" He slithered and chuckled to relax himself on the opposite side of the young man.

(ooc: just realized kaa could totally be the hypnotist for the army. even help people get sleep if they wanted to. "One song and you're out like a light. Kaa is not responsible if you get eaten while you sleep." xD)

Jim paused looking up at Kaa and grinned. He hadn't seen the snake around much and he smiled.

"Just thinking about my boyfriend. I was beginning to think I wasn't going to find anyone. I mean back home I was a rebel. And sure I eventually found treasure and was a hero. But all the girls were either taken or not interested. Then I met Black Lantern Spoony and I never felt this way about anyone. But he was dating someone at the time so I kept my distance. But when that didn't work out I did feel guilty for being happy when he was miserable. But now we're together." said Jim.

He paused realizing he was rambling and blushed.

"Sorry. I ramble sometimes when I get excited. So how are you doing today Kaa? You hungry? I could whip up some food for you. I know you can't hunt like you used to back home. Or do you just want to talk?" said Jim.

He subconsciously put his hand down petting the snake's head and as he spoke feeling kaa's scales. He paused blushing realizing what he was doing pulling back not sure if Kaa liked that.

"Sorry. I've just never seen a snake before. You're so cool." said Jim.

(OCC: XD. Yeah, but don't put him near mowgli if he has nightmares, high chances are he'll be eaten or manipulated to be eaten)

Kaa was rather uninterested by Jim's rambling, as seen with his unimpressed glance. Though he felt no reason to interrupt the young man's glee. The snake DID ask, it would be rude to just tell him to shut up about it. So he listened. Kaa learned that Jim was in love with BLS and that their history was rather recent. They started out as friends and BLS dated Goggles, this Kaa was aware of previously, and then Jim got with him through time and he was happy about it. Due to the fact he was worried he wouldn't have someone because of his rebellious past. When Jim stopped, Kaa was silently relieved but he politely responded "Oh no. Do not worry about mysssself. I was just lisssstening. I am glad for you. Let us move on"

When offered food, Kaa refused, once again politely, seeing no reason to be rude yet "No thank you. I prefer to talk. There isssss nothing for me to do quite yet" Then suddenly he felt a hand and instantly he froze. Nobody ever touched him. And not only that, nobody called him cool for being who he was. He was either hated or considered a threat. He was used to negative responses but positive and rather excited ones were not of Kaa's forte. So naturally a unamused glare came from him "Pleassse do not do that unlessss I assssk you to. But you are very kind nonethelesssss" He looked the man up and down and responded, his amused look slowly coming back "What do you mean you have never sssseen me before? Have you been to a zoo or sssssomething? That is what the humans I believe do to sssssee creaturessss like me?"

Jim smiled as Kaa said it was ok.

"Good. I tend to ramble sometimes especially when I'm nervous. But I am sorry about that." said Jim.

When Kaa refused the offer of food Jim nodded.

"Alright. But if you ever get hungry I can get you something." said Jim.

He paused as Kaa didn't look happy he'd petted him.

"Sorry. I won't do it again. You're just an amazing creature." said Jim.

Jim paused looking at his words and smiled.

"Well my world's set in the future. Animals are sort of extinct there. Well except for aliens that look like animals. We don't have zoos or anything like that. So animals are just kinda of new to me." said Jim.

"You are forgiven. Even though there issssss nothing to forgive" Kaa said, just saying this to get Jim to not worry about it. Something about this young man was far more interesting and kinder than anyone kaa knew. Not that he cared, but Jim was definitely someone not on his menu anytime soon. He smiled to prove that he had no hard feelings.

"Well now. Aren't you a good Ssssssamaritan?" Kaa teased, winking to imply he was joking "You are kind. Thank you... Do forgive me we haven't chatted much so I forgot your name" He then shrugged with whatever he had as shoulders "Then again I wassss rude enough to not say mine. I am Kaa" He bowed his head in greeting, a proper greeting that is.

His amusement increased with this boy's sudden excitement over what he was. Although it was a bit annoying, Kaa couldn't help but take in the praise with a prideful raise of his head and closed eyes. "I sssssuppose I AM quite nice to look at. Not many creaturessss have my charm and looks" At the term of charm, he immediately felt tempted to test out his powers on Jim to see if they worked on teenage boys but remembering that BLS was his boyfriend and a powerful lantern, the idea definitely had some trouble. So for now he would let it be.

"Ah. How sssssad. It feelssss rather sssstrange to hear my kind is no-more. But I sssuppose it explainssss your excitement over me" Kaa said, both shocked and bothered by the fact Jim never saw a snake before because they didn't really exist. He then gave a confused look "What issss your world like then? I do have to wonder. If you do not have animalsssss what DO you have?"

Jim smiled at him glad Kaa had forgiven him.

"I suppose I am. I'm just used to cooking at my family inn in my world and helping serve others with food." said Jim.

Jim smiled at him blushing a little at the compliment. Not many people thought he was kind.

"Thank you. And it's ok. I'm Jim." said Jim.

He smiled as the snake introduced himself.

"Kaa. That's a lovely name. And very unique." said Jim.

Jim grinned.

"You're quite right about that. There's certainly no animal like you." said Jim.

Jim shrugged.

"Well I am from a different universe. Not all of us are from the same world. For all I know animals do exist in my universe and I haven't met them. There could be a whole planet of them or something." said Ji.m

Jim smiled at him as Kaa asked about his world.

"It's a futuristic world where humans and aliens live in harmony. Well the good aliens anyway. There are some evil aliens like pirates who steal treasures and things like that. It's a nice planet. I used to solar surf all the time. It's a vehicle I use to fly." said Jim.

He paused at his question.

"Well we have humans, robots, and a lot of aliens. Many of them do look like animals. A few of my friends resemble cats and dogs from this world. One of my enemies was a spider pirate alien who tried to kill me." said Jim.

Jim frowned as he remembered Scroop. He'd killed Mr. Arrow and nearly killed Jim himself. He was just glad he'd gotten rid of Scroop and that the other pirates were now dead or in jail. Well except Silver who got away but he viewed him as a friend.

"Ah I ssssee" Kaa replied, not entirely caring about Jim's background. He still listened though. He then nodded at Jim's introduction. He then grinned at Jim's praise. Although shocked, his ego allowed him to quite enjoy this boy. Even if he was full of it, Jim did know how to flatter the snake. "You are right on one thing. There issss no sssnake like me. I can do one thing many cannot" He grinned and responded "I can hynotisse others. Hynosissss isss easssy to do" What? BLS wasn't here and Kaa was egotistical enough now to want to show the boy of his abilities "Would you like to sssee?"

"That issss true. You never can tell. You are absssolutely right. You ssseem interesssting" Kaa responded. He then listened to Jim's story about his world, who lived there and what he handled. Kaa was actually curious now "Very interesting. You handled quite a lot. It issss nice of you to have... um. That lantern fellow to be around. You have a interesting story"

(OCC: I just want Kaa to hynotise Jim for some reason. Can bring out that Kaa isn't impulsive and doesn't eat or harm Jim because of his kindness. That and I just want to show Kaa's abilities to hynotise more)

Jim listened intrigued as Kaa spoke again.

"You can do something other snakes can't?" asked Jim.

He was curious as Kaa said he could hypnotize people and Jim grinned.

"Yes I would." said jim.

Jim smiled as Kaa complimented him.

"Thank you. I got a new family and friends here and it's not as bad as I thought. I do miss my mom and my old friends but I don't know if I'll ever go backnow." said Jim.

He paused looking at Kaa with a grin.

"Maybe you could share me your story some time. If you wanted to that is." said Jim.

He paused looking at Kaa for a moment as Jim's grin grew bigger.

"So care to show me how you hypnotize people?" asked Jim.

Kaa nodded at Jim's question and was even more pleased when Jim seemed more than happy to allow Kaa to experiment his powers. He stepped back as Jim did speak about his home and that he missed it. Kaa nodded "I do think it issss hard for usssss to go back. I misssss the jungle myssself"

He then nodded, off-handedly to Jim's suggestion of talking about his own life. He was more focused on screwing around with Jim. The snake smiled, coming closer to Jim, his eyes immediately changing into a variety of colors. He knew BLS might get mad but he wasn't here so whatever. Besides, Jim was curious. Kaa replied "Jusssst look into my eyessss" He stared at Jim and replied "And jussst relax"

Jim smiled at him.

"I could talk to my dad and we could go visit one sometime. There's plenty around the world. It may not be exactly like your world but it might make you less homesick." said Jim.

Jim nodded as Kaa told him to look into his and relax. Jim did as his eyes started mirroring the mesmeric spiral of kaa's as he started slipping into hypnosis. Soon he would be completely under Kaa's control.

"Perhapssss. It would be niccce. You're a very kind young man" Kaa said this with evident shock in his voice. This boy was quite generous with his offers. He was the adopted son of ATG among many children yet he treated him like a equal. No one really treated him with kindness before. At least not to this scale.

"There we go. Jusssst relax" Kaa resisted the urge to chuckle. This kid was admittedly naïve to be so curious and trusting but the snake would never say so. He continued his spell, seeing it successfully work on the young man. His eyes turned more and more colors but Kaa kept staring at him. To make absolute sure Jim would eventually be under his control.

Jim smiled at him.

"Good then it's settled." said Jim.

He was glad to help his new friend. Well maybe friend was too strong. He guessed it might be more like acquaintance but he viewed Kaa as a friend. Even if it was one sided at the moment.

Jim smiled as his eyes gave off the rainbowish glow as he fell completely under Kaa's control and stopped moving. He just sat there waiting for orders from his new master.

Kaa honestly didn't believe tricking the boy would be this easy but it was. He commanded calmly "Ssstay ssstill" He then wrapped his coils gently around the boy. He smirked, seeing the boy completely sedated by his hypnosis. He licked his lips thinking You know, I could get in real trouble but he looks very filling. He had a moment where he was going to just eat him but then Jim's words during their conversation got to his head. He offered to find him places where'd he be comfortable, he treated him like a friend, and he thought of him as special. The snake, feeling a pang of guilt, immediately put his coils away from the boy's body. It was too risky, and it was just plain wrong even in his own environment.

Still, he wanted to take advantage of this somehow. So he resumed staring just a bit longer to give jim a few silly commands "Sssstand up. Go dance like a monkey" It was going to be hilarious.

Jim nodded remaining still as the snake wrapped its coils around him. Jim just sat there under Kaa's completely control and unaware of how easily he nearly became the snake's dinner. But soon the coils were gone but Jim didn't notice as he was still under the trance. He got up hearing Kaa's orders but was confused having never seen a monkey.

"What's a monkey?" asked Jim out loud.

He knew he had to follow the orders his master had given him so he started dancing since he had no idea what a monkey was or how they danced.
