Why did you pick him/her?: Because he's a sweetheart and I want him so badly, and he's a army officer so his expertise in battle strategies can be incredibly useful

Personality: James is a very kind, respectful, polite and cheerful person. He's empathetic and always tends to do good for others and himself, he never is afraid to show kindness towards others including strangers, James doesn't hesitate in standing up for the little guy or taking care of things. He is not a pacifist though, he will fight to his last breath for anything he believes in, whether verbally or physically, and he will go to great lengths to keep his promises and is incredibly strong-willed into doing the right thing whether no-one is watching or not. He is also a man with a good sense of humor, always being incredibly laid-back or sarcastic with his friends and quipping up a joke to try and cheer someone up. His humor is light-hearted as well as his spirit, he is very sweet to others and is incredibly full of life and energy. James is a man who is very emotional and passionate and does not hesitate in coming out with his feelings, even if he's incredibly nervous in saying them. He's also honest and true to himself, not willing to accept lies or tell lies to anyone.
History: James Nicholls was born around the 1900's era, raised on a simple english pasture with his rather wealthy farming family, his childhood was relatively normal as was his teenhood and adulthood until world war 1 came to play. He willingly volunteered to serve and was promoted as captain as the war began to tread on, and unfortunately during this period a horse of his became lame and was put down. Due to the war still going on, James required a new horse and resulted in buying Joey, a horse that belonged to a young man named Albert and his father, and despite Albert's protestations and willingness to serve, James convinced him that he would take good care of joey and make sure albert knew what was up with said horse and once James was away from the war, Joey would return to him. He kept his promise in taking care of joey well and protected the horse as if it were his own, the result was joey's loyalty in the war and the two set off immediately as good friends. This quick friendship was tested only once by a practice course which tested joey's speed and agility, which of course joey won the practice course and joey was fit enough for james to have during enemy lines. James and his friend Jamie Stewart, a major in his army, were ready to plan a special attack on german forces and he, jamie and his entire army were ready to fight to their last breath. At first it seemed the plan was working but the german army had something that never happened during their time, they had weaponry and they used it in secret locations and the result was catastrophic. It was incredibly fatal and killed many people, including James himself. James was shot and killed instantly leaving joey to be captured by germans.
However james' story does not end here anymore, he was somehow resurrected by Insano's invention of universe-warping and James is, although confused, fortunate to be alive. He, out of pure confusion and fear, ran to Critic's forces to demand a explaination and despite his disbelief he saw the truth that he was now in a much different time period and he himself was trapped in it. He honestly plans to stay, considering that he last remembered dying on the battlefield but cannot feel the haunting of his past and his un-kept promise to protect joey. He only hopes joey is safe and he returned to the boy named albert. Little does he know, he is going to suffer guilt because of joey somehow being here too
