Something There That Wasn't There Before (Douglas)

Douglas beamed as Johnathan held him up to the promise before continuing on with breakfast. He then began chuckled as Johnathan explained that his mother taught him out of cook. And the funny story to why. Whether or not it was true, it was evident that Sam, Nella and Tara didn't want Dean near any kitchen. Dean seemed okay with it somewhat despite denial. Douglas couldn't help but laugh.

He then blushed as Johnathan pointed out that despite Hal not being a king he, that he technically was still royalty. That it made Douglas a prince. "Well don't give me the royal treatment just because I come from a royal line. Although, Prince Douglas has quite a nice ring" He chuckled again, enjoying his breakfast. Like Johnathan, a boyfriend was new to Douglas but he loved it all the same.

"No. I have plenty of shirts. You can completely keep it. Consider it a gift" Douglas insisted affectionately. He truly didn't care. It was just a shirt picked at random. He kissed Johnathan as he joked about this being a dream, Douglas after he kissed him again responded "If this is a dream. I do not want to wake up"

Johnathan watched as he cooked fascinated Douglas listened to him so well. Before he just assumed he was being a good friend but now he could see the signs. He sighed looking down.

"I've been so foolish. I made us both unhappy because I thought you didn't want me. I didn't bother to ask. I just dated other people. I would have gladly suffered alone but I am sorry I made you unhappy. I never want to do that again." said Johnathan.

Johnathan smirked as Douglas spoke again.

"Whatever you say your majesty. I suppose that would make me prince when we got married." said Johnathan.

He paused realizing he just said that out loud and blushed.

"Sorry. I've thought of marrying you several times and even wondered what our kids would look like." said Johnathan.

He was probably admitting more than he should but he wanted to be honest with him. Even if he came off as creepy at times. Douglas grinned as Johnathan said he could keep it.

"I'd never take it off only it'd stink after awhile. So I'll just enjoy it whenever I get to wear it." said Johnathan.

Johnathan grinned as they were now kissing again. Johnathan grinned pinching both of them as Johnathan winced.

"Guess it's not a dream. Although you were always the man of my dreams. And that sounded less corny in my head." said Johnathan.

He blushed again as he kept eating.

"Nonsense, Johnathan. You didn't make me unhappy. Yes it hurt to see you with others but I am just as much to blame as you. I was scared to confess also. Don't blame yourself for any of my pain" Douglas quickly held Johnathan's hands and held them tightly. It made Douglas feel bad that Johnathan pointlessly blamed himself. The other held the hands tightly.

"Hey. Enough of that 'your majesty' business now" Douglas smiled sardonically, his chuckle low and amused. He then blushed brightly but smiled as Johnathan admitted to himself picturing them married and with children. "We will definitely name our boys after my father and your father" He responded, implying he was completely okay with this. "Do not feel ashamed. You're being honest. Something we should continue to be from now on" Douglas replied with a calm smile

"Good. I want you to enjoy it" Douglas grinned. He then continued kissing Johnathan before he was pinched. "Ow. You could've just sprinked some water on us and it would've worked the same way!" He said with fake annoyance and a unamused pout to boot. He then laughed a little at Johnathan's admittedly corny statement "It is cute. I like that. I have my own dream come true, and that's in the form of us being together" He then continued eating also.

Johnathan shook his head.

"Yes I did. We both did. We made each other unhappy by lying and keeping secrets. But now it's out in the open. I'm just sorry I caused you pain." said Johnathan.

Johnathan grinned at him.

"Whatever you say your highness." said Johnathan.

His grin grew seeing Douglas blush at the mention of childre n and marriage.

"Naming them after our dads huh? That sounds like a great idea." said Johnathan.

Johnathan nodded.

"I agree. We stay honest. We shouldn't have any more secrets or lies between us." said Johnathan.

Johnathan smiled.

"And I will enjoy it. Although not as much as i enjoy you." said Johnathan.

He chuckled at Douglas's complaint about being pinched.

"Well if we were dreaming then that water could have obviously been part of the dream. So hard to prove if we were awake or not by a splash after all?" said Johnatahn.

Johnathan grinned seeing Douglas laugh.

"I guess our dreams did come true today." said Johnathan.

"And I'm sorry for whatever pain I caused for you by keeping secrets" Douglas responded, lowering his head in shame as Johnathan pointed out that if they were both honest, none of this past nonsense would've even happened. He was admittedly ashamed of his cowardice, especially since his friend was just as afraid as he was. He was glad it was out in the open now thankfully.

"Your highness is a synonym for your majesty. If you don't stop I'll have to make a rule for you to stop saying that, JUST to make you stop saying that" Douglas teased, grinning as Johnathan tried to push buttons. Douglas wasn't too sensitive about this sort of thing but it definitely did feel weird to be given royal responses. He then blushed as the other praised the idea of naming their future possible sons after their fathers. "Thank you. I... I thought about it for a bit I admit" He couldn't believe he was being so dorky. To actually think out children names before even dating a person who he wasn't even sure liked him back.

"Honesty is key to making this work out. If we have any issue or problem, we will discuss it openly with one another. As we should have some time ago" Douglas replied softly. He no longer was going to lie especially about minor things. He then blushed brighter as Johnathan told him he enjoyed Douglas more than the shirt. He then opened his mouth to argue before closing it seeing Johnathan make a pretty good point about water splashing be in dreams too "Fair enough. I suppose you have a point"

"As cutisie as it is, yes, our dreams did come true. The best type of dream" Douglas replied as he gave a soft kiss across the other boy's cheek.

Johnathan smiled.

"I guess we're both guilty of keeping stuff to ourselves. No point in looking at the past and feeling down. Not when we have a bright future to look forward to." said Johnathan.

He smirked at Douglas and then raised an eyebrow.

"But rules are meant to be broken your highness." said Johnathan.

Johnathan chuckled.

"On the other hand I don't know if I want to name them after our dads either. Maybe we should do their middle names. I mean if we do get to have kids I want them to feel like they have their own identity. Not try to be like their parents or grandparents. Or have other people see them as "Dean Jr" or "Hal Jr". Our dads didn't name us after them so our kids's first names shouldn't be named after family. Do you think that's fair?" said Johnathan.

Johnathan nodded.

"It is. We discuss it and work things out. Especially if we're mad at each other. We both can get pretty stubborn sometimes. So we talk things out even if there's insults and yelling at the beginning we have to apologize for later." said Johnathan.

Johnathan grinned again as Douglas said he had a point.

"I got you to agree with me. The world must be ending." joked Johnathan.

Johnathan smiled as Douglas said it was the best kind of dream and kissed his cheek. Johnathan paused giving him another kiss on the lips pushing him against the counter forgetting about the food and everything else. He let go reluctantly panting for air while grinning.

"I still can't believe you're mine. I don't want to let you go but I'd probably burn our food. And that's not good." said Johnathan.

He let go reluctantly but kept his left hand on Douglas's right hand as he kept cooking with only one hand. If Douglas needed to let go he would but it felt nice to touch Douglas like this. Even if it was something simple as hand holding.
