Secret Training

[Littlefoot]

(ooc: March 13th. Evening. Kids Training Thread.)

Flower grinned as he made his way into the woods with the others. When they'd told him about it he was skeptical but he figured this could help them all out. He wanted to help out Bambi, Dean, Sam, and the rest of his new friends here.

Freckles was nervous as she arrived in the woods. She had thought about being a medic as she didn't feel like she'd be much help as a puppy. But it wouldn't hurt to learn how to fight to protect herself.

Littlefoot grinned as he arrived in the woods. He'd talked them all into coming here and even got Gene to come visit from Critic's house. With Tender Heart and Gene watching out for them surely nothing would go wrong.

Tender Heart was nervous as he walked in with Gene. He was glad Littlefoot had asked Gene to come.

Gene flew into the area next to Tender Heart. He liked the idea of coming to visit and hanging out with the kids. He'd missed hanging out with them. He decided he'd come visit Roses's house more often. If Grimhilde wanted him she could just rub the lamp and he'd go back to Critic's house anyway.

[Darla]

Bambi followed in persuit with Flower, he too was nervous about sneaking about but Tenderheart was here and that made things a tad more safer than they normally would be. Tenderheart was pretty much in charge of the group other than Littlefoot and he smiled. He turned and whispered to Littlefoot "I'm glad that we're out here. That way none of the other adults can get so upset"

"Heck yeah. It's about time we did this" Kiara said eagerly with Lilo not far behind. The hawaiian girl and the cub since the... incident have been on much friendler terms than before. Before lilo and kiara didn't talk to each other for personality reasons but now bambi and kiara had that problem and lilo was pretty much ok with everyone. So the two were walking side by side as friends to see what to do.

Darla and Pepper followed Freckles into the forest. Darla too didn't like to fight but she wanted to be with her sisters and see if she could be of use, so she found it a good idea to just try. Pepper, meanwhile, was extremely excited as seen with her frolicing to the little group and her wagging tail. "Gosh this is so exciting. We're doing awesome spy training if you think about it hard enough. For those who don't get it you don't have to, I'm just making a reference for my own personal benefit and excitement" Pepper said happily

Cadpig and Rolly follow Darla and Pepper into the forest as well.Cadpig and Rolly weren't really into fighting either. But, Cadpig did want to be with the rest of the family.

Thumper hops over to Bambi and Flower happily.

Koda and Edith follow the others into the forest.

[Littlefoot]

Littlefoot nodded.

"Yeah. I know Tender Heart doesn't like it. But Gene and Tender Heart both have magic powers. If we ran into trouble I know they could get us out of it for sure. Besides we really need to train and the grown ups won't let us. So we'll have to train ourselves." said Littlefoot.

Gene grinned at Littlefoot's words.

"That's right. I'll just zap us home if one of the bad guys shows up." said Gene.

He paused glancing at Flower and Freckles.

"I can try. But we need to start with the basics first. The human kids can hold weapons. But the animal kids will have to use their bodies. Maybe we can make some armor for you guys so if you go into battle later you'll be protected." said Gene.

Tender Heart smiled as well.

"I don't really like this but you're right. It would be safer if you learned how to fight. But I am glad Gene and I are here to make sure you all stay safe." said Tender Heart.

Flower smiled as he walked beside Littlefoot and Bambi. He saw Thumper and grinned at his friend.

"Hey Thumper. Glad you could make it." said Flower.

He paused glancing at the group.

"So do any of us actually know how to fight? We need to learn from someone. Right?" said Flower.

Freckles grinned as she saw her siblings and the other kids had arrived. She heard Flower's question and nodded.

"Flower's right. Gene are you going to teach us?" asked Freckles.

[Kiara]

"I understand. We do need to train. That's why I'm glad we did this, then again I'm sure we all are by this point" Bambi responded to Littlefoot, he then grinned to see his two other pals Flower and Thumper ready to train also. "Armor sounds like a great idea. Armor can actually be the substitute for weapons! Let's use that!" Bambi replied after Flower and Freckles asking their questions to gene. He turned to the others and sighed "Well now that we seem to all be here. We might as well get ready"

"Let's do this thing! We're safe with Gene and Tenderheart here, so we'll be fine surely! Let's put on the armor gene suggested and get started!" Pepper said with excitement. She then saw her new friend koda and wagged her tail and waved her paw in greeting. "Let's pick partners too guys. We need to help each other out"

"Whoa pepper. Easy. We have time, let's take it a bit slower ok?" Lilo said patiently. She turned to listen to flower and freckles question and she nodded in agreement. She then chuckled to gene "So far me and edith are the only ones human, no offense to the rest of you, so you're definitely gonna need to make a lot of armor. So we better get that settled first" She turned to edith and quickly went next to her.

Darla just kept quiet and turned over to see Rolly nearby. She smiled and nuzzled against him as the conversation went on. Kiara meanwhile nodded "The armor is a good idea. Since we obviously don't hold things, we might as well cover ourselves up. The sooner we do all the armor stuff, the quicker we'll train. Let's get cracking. I think the sooner we learn the better"

[Littlefoot]

Gene nodded. He waved his hand teleporting some armor on them and he made it feel light so it wouldn't slow them down. It was metallic so it would protect them and not fall apart easily.

"Now remember try not to aim for the armor. If you hit it might sting a little but you won't be hurt too bad. After all you want to try to aim for your opponent's weak points. Like their legs, hands, and neck. Parts that may not be covered." said Gene.

He paused conjuring some targets of duplicates of the villains only they were cardboard cutouts.

"When you guys want to start on these let me know. But you can start on fighting each other if you want." said Gene.

He paused turning to Lilo and Edith guessing the two would probably train together.

Littlefoot looked at all his friends turning to Bambi. He was the closest in size to him and he didn't want to accidentally hurt any of the others. So it seemed like they'd be a good team.

"Bambi will you be my training partner?" asked Littlefoot.

Tender Heart turned to Koda and smiled. It was nice seeing another bear here. He walked up to Koda with a grin. He had his Care Bear Stare but that was only at its most powerful as a group. By himself it couldn't really do much. As much as he disliked fighting he had to at least learn how to protect himself and the other kids here.

"Koda will you be my training partner?" asked Tender Heart.

Freckles grinned with the matter settled as people began pairing off. Freckles walked up to Darla and Rolly grinning.

"Darla do you want to train with me? Or would you prefer to train with your boyfriend?" asked Freckles.

She giggled teasing her a little. She couldn't help it. The two were just so cute together.

Flower turned to Thumper.

"Want to train with me Thumper?" asked Flower.

[Bambi]

Gene was right. Lilo DID want to start training with Edith. As evidenced by Lilo's quick tapping on the shoulder to Edith "Heya edith. Let's starting training together! You can go first if you want!" Lilo quickly raised her arms in defense but was more than ready for Edith to start off first. She enjoyed Edith's company above all others and wanted to have training as well as fun with her.

"Sure! Why not!? Do you want to go first or shall I?" Bambi responded, very pleased to be the dinosaur child's partner. Like Littlefoot, he was aware that they were the biggest out of all the children. He himself didn't want to headbutt any child by accident. He quickly got himself in a defensive stance but his smile was evident. He was excited actually. This may make him feel useful against Ronno.

Darla blushed extensively at Freckles' teasing and responded with a shy response "I would train with you but I was planning to do it, yes, with my boyfriend rolly" She smiled and wagged her tail at him. She then politely responded "I hope you're ok with it though" She then saw Pepper go over and try to pick on Freckles and she laughed. She was amused with pepper a lot of the time.

"That's perfectly ok, Darla! You lovebirds have fun, while Freckles has to do with the wrestling champion!" Pepper wagged her tail and playfully poked at Freckles. She turned to Darla and rolly and teasingly responded "You two cuties have fun!" She laughed then looked over to Freckles in excitement. Eventually she got into a somewhat playful stance and responded to freckles "Alright twin, get yourself ready! I'm coming first!"

"So cadpig. Guess that makes us partners" Kiara said with a smile. She was ok with it. She didn't mind. Cadpig was the best option and she'd rather have a nice pup like cadpig than annoying bambi or forced to train with a human, who she might hurt more. She turned to Cadpig and responded "Ok. You ready?"

Koda looks around for a partner. His first option was all ready about to wrestle freckles. "Who do I face"? The little bear cub asked.

"Sure, flower, me and you can train together. You wanna make first move." Thumper said.

Rolly blushes a little as pepper teases him and Darla a little.

Rolly leans over and gives Darla a kiss on the cheek. "You wanna make first move, beautiful?" Rolly asked.

Cadpig gulps a little bit seeing as she would face Kiara. It was no secret Cadpig was a little less experienced than Kiara.

"Ready whenever you are"Cadpig said.

"I'd be fine if you wanna make first move " Edith said getting into a wrestling stance.

[Darla]

"Maybe gene!" Pepper suggested for Koda, seeing her friend did not have a partner. She frowned in guilt "Or maybe once I'm done with freckles you and I could wrestle down later?" She didn't want to leave Koda, as the humans said, in the dust. She wanted to make sure her friend was just as taken care of

Darla turned and wagged her tail as she was kissed on the cheek. Ignoring the rest, she turned to Rolly and nodded "Ok. I promise it won't hurt too much" She was serious and she ran over to rolly and began to tackle him. He and her wrestled to the ground quickly. She hoped she was doing well at the same time as not hurt him.

"Alright small-fry. You just stick there and I'll pounce you, no worries" Kiara wasn't entirely aware of the fact that Cadpig may or may not have been experienced. She was more concerned with training. She growled playfully, leaning down and walking up to cadpig as if she was prey. Suddenly with a triumphant growl she pounced on Cadpig.

"Alrightie then!" Lilo said, getting herself into a wrestling stance. She giggled and responded "Look out edith!" With that, she grabbed edith and started to tussle her harshly, her hands pinning down on edith's arms. Was she being too harsh? Maybe but it was all in good time. They'd get used to it eventually. After all, that was what training was for.

Cadpig growls playfully and wrestles with Kiara as she was pounced on. Cadpig had quite a bit of experience with wrestling as she was forced into quite a few with Pepper, patch, Lucky and sometimes even Mooch back on the farm. This was her first time wrestling a lion however.

Rolly rolls and wrestles with Darla trying his best to out wrestle her.

Koda thought for a second he guessed he could wrestle a human, but Koda knew he didn't have a chance against a human. " I'll just take on winner, kick his furry butt Pepp's" Koda said giving pepper a cute nick name. But, that was when he heard tender heart. It had been a while since he had wrestled with a bear. This could be a whole lot of fun.

"Still wanna train with me? I need a training partner and if you do too, me and you could trai together" Koda said.

Edith wrestles with Lilo and tries to pin her arms down . Edith was no stranger to play fighting or wrestling.

[Lilo]

Kiara growled playfully in return, although it had a sense of seriousness within it. Although this WAS a time for a bit of private fun, it was also to get down and busy to the real task at hand according to the lion cub. She took this time just as seriously as a adult would. Fighting, eventually, would not be fun. It wouldn't be a game. "Come on, small-fry, try to fight a bit harder!" Kiara said, her patience showing to wear off

"Ok winner takes koda" Pepper confirmed, turning to her sister then. She then saw tenderheart and koda begin to converse and Pepper smiled, hoping koda would be distracted. Pepper crouched in a fighting stance and she grinned "Your move sis!" She then waited for freckles to take her or pepper herself would start.

Lilo grinned, seeing edith was no stranger to fighting. She did get her arms pinned, but with a free leg, made edith trip a bit so Lilo could get her arms freed. Lilo had no intention to HARM edith, but she definitely needed to pretend for now that this was real. So she was fighting back the ways she was going to do so for a enemy, should she be forced to fight one.

Cadpig wrestled with Kiara even harder.she wanted to prove herself to Kiara and that she could hold her own in a real fight. Cadpig tries to pin kiara's paws down.

Edith smiles as LILO tripped her . LILO was not a pushover when it came to wrestling so It looked like they were evenly matched. Edith playfully wrestles LILO to to the ground and wrestles with her more. A villain would never let up and neither would edith.

[Littlefoot]

Littlefoot watched the others play a bit before turning to Bambi.

"Let's a bit away from the others first. Don't want to hurt someone by accident. A couple of my friends Ducky and Petrie are even smaller than some of the puppies. So I'm used to not playing too rough. We usually just play follow the leader or hide and go seek back home. Fun games we can all play." said Littlefoot.

Once he and Bambi were far enough away he was sure they wouldn't hurt anyone he grinned.

"Guess I'll go first. I'm glad you don't have any antlers yet or that might hurt." said Littlefoot.

He grinned charging at Bambi.

Freckles giggles as Darla blushed. She watched everyone else play before turning to pepper.

"I'm ready." said Freckles.

She paused seeing Pepper getting distracted by the other fights and decided to make her own move. She charged at Pepper intent on knocking her over. Or at least pushing her back a little.

Tender Heart looked up at Koda with a grin.

"Sure. I suppose I need to learn how to fight too. I've always used my Care Bear power but we're the strongest together. And since none of the others are here my power's almost useless." said Tender Heart.

He grinned with Koda.

"Just go easy on me. You probably have more experience than I do. Maybe you could give me a few pointers as well." said Tender Heart.

Flower nodded.

"I guess I'll go first." said Flower.

He shyly grinned before charging towards Thumper. He wasn't sure how good he'd be at this. But he did want to learn.

Gene watched as the fights all started as he watched grinning.

"Guess I'll watch. Maybe train with one of you guys later when you're done." said Gene.

He could turn himself into a bear or deer or something later on if someone wanted a break but another person wanted to keep going. It was fun to watch the others fight for a bit. He wouldn't use his magic to fight though aside from changing his appearance before the fight. So the fights could be fair.

Mooch was late as ever for this training session. It was too bad Lucky wasn't here. Him and Lucky could have sparred. He waited for an opponent by gene not realizing he had the ability to turn into a dog.

"Sure, I could train you real good and go super easy on you. You wanna establish a code word that you could say if I'm being too rough? You say the word and I'll go easier". Koda said.

Being a bunny and being as fast as he was he hopped out of the way of the charging Flower. " oh , so close you gotta be faster than that" thumper playfully teased and goes to playfully tackle flower.

[Darla]

"Good idea" Bambi agreed as he and Littlefoot went away from the others to not hurt anyone. Just in case. He then nodded as Littlefoot said he'd go first and bambi stood still waiting for his charge. When it came, Bambi leaned to stand against Littlefoot, trying not to hurt him but enough to make a stand. He gently pushed Littlefoot away before charging towards the other. "Sorry if I'm going too fast" Bambi commented

"Hey no fair!" Pepper teased, laughing. She then shook her head, remembering this wasn't really game-material. She shoved Freckles off and charged in return, doing her best to not harm her sister. She then teased "Better try and shove me off sis, I could beat you!" Pepper knew this wasn't a game but she liked to tease her "twin" around.

"Hey nice! You're fighting back small-fry!" Kiara said, genuinely happy that the other was succeeding in fighting. Cadpig DID pin down Kiara's paws but not for long, Kiara moved to try and pounce Cadpig again, trying to give the puppy a chance to dodge. "Dodge this, short-stop!" She said before running

"How did you get to wrestle?" Lilo said, both curious and trying to distract edith. The two girls were not easy on the other but it was good. It meant the two had complete potential to fight back so in case they needed to. Lilo tried to resist but so far Edith's grip was working too good on her.
