Attack Of The Thing Part 4: A Shaky Alliance

(ooc: Meeting plan for the three armies. I think it'd be best if we just have the leaders and any people who can contribute to the plan. But say people like kids are sleeping/eating at the moment. So we'll have seperate groups.)

It had been a half hour since the three armies had all arrived at the same spot. After accusations had been thrown around they'd come to the horrifying conclusion that these creatures weren't sent by any of them. That they were all in danger. Other members were called to join them who'd been away during the attack.

A war council stood in a makeshift tent of the leaders and planners of the three armies. The others were asleep at the moment. A protection spell had been placed there by the others making them invisible to everyone who would just pass through them barrier and all as if they weren't even there. Only people seemed to be more in a mood to argue than to plan.

Council Tent:

Queen La slammed the table in anger. She'd come here to speak with the group. Natasha was dead so they were short a general. And Dark Nella was mourning the loss of Pinocchio and spending time with the rest of her family so La had been sent in her place.

"ENOUGH! People are dead in all our armies. And we can't stop bickering long enough to make a plan. We've already lost too much. Those people, animals, robots, monsters, and whatever else is out there are counting on us to come up with a solution. Once we take these freaks out then we can back to blowing each other up for all I care. But we need to set aside our problems now or we'll all dead." said La.

Hades stopped hearing La and smirked. He couldn't help his fiery temper. It was just a part of him but La made a good point.

"I hate to admit it but she's right. We need to think of something fast. I'm immortal. So is Loki and the sleeping beauty Thor over there. But I'd rather not get stuck in that monster's stomach for all eternity so let's take them out. Fire and electrity were working it seemed but it kept adapting too quickly." said Hades.

"Not to mention there are now six of them. Two attacking each base. There could be others as well so we need to be cautious about this or we'd be surprised by another one. I wouldn't be eaten but I'd be destroyed. Probably vaporized or broken apart or something." said Seven of Eleven.

Mechakara remained silent not sure what to say. The loss of Insuedo, Patch, and the others was devastating. He spotted Insano and wrapped his arms around him pulling the scientist into a hug. He knew they both needed this. He didn't care if people thought differently of him. He was just comforting his friend.

"I'm sorry you lost him. But you're not alone. You still have the rest of us. Patch and Insuedo are gone. Let's take these things down and make them pay." said Mechakara.

Rita stood there. Malachite had chosen not to come to the meeting and was spending time with Olive and Gi. She couldn't blame him. If that had been Zedd she probably wouldn't be able to come to this meeting either. She stood there with Yuki, Teddy, and Fat Cat. She heard La's shouting and looked at her in surprise but nodded.

"La is right. Enough squabbling. Time to find a way to take this thing out." said Rita.

Teddy, Yuki, and Fat Cat nodded silently behind her in agreement.

Nella, Chick, Diamanda, Mike, Marzgurl, and Carly were among the council group representing Critic's army. Hearing La's plea to stop and others back her up they stopped fighting as well.

"Yes. This petty arguing will solve nothing. We shouldnt' have let out anger get the best of us." said Mike.

Diamanda smirked.

"Hades is right. Fire and electricity seemed to work for awhile. Anyone got any bright ideas how to stop it?" asked Diamanda.

Ask That Guy Tent:

Jim was huddled up with BLS, Ronno, and Mowgli. He was hugging BLS in one arm and Mowgli and Ronno in the other. Two of his brothers were gone along with several others. Dark Nella just watched sadly and sobbed. She was so upset she couldn't even comfort her remaining adopted family. Scar was in mourning of Zira and just sat there sadly. Penny was in mourning of the loss of Patch. She was all alone now. Well she had Dark Heart and her family but it wasn't the same either. Duke Nukem, Chuckles, and Phantom Virus were all scattered about the tent as well. No one was saying anything. They were just tired and upset at the loss as well.

Facilier Tent:

Malachite stood there hugging Olive and Gi trying to comfort them both.

"I'm sorry about what happened. Pete's gone but he won't be forgotten. We'll find a way to take these bastards out. But you will remain here Olive. I will not lose you too." said Malachite.

(ooc: up to you if Olive goes anyway. this is more like a suggestion as malachite doesn't want to lose them both.)

Critic Tent:

Roses, Elisa, Kim, Ma-Ti, Chester, Goggles, Nani, Littlefoot, Freckles, Brock, Harvey, Michelangelo, and Gene stood in the tent. Thor was lying unconscious on the bed still affected by Rogue's power. The rest were just reeling from the loss of their several friends waiting for the others to come back with news of the plan. Jasmine stood off to the side with Diablo. Diablo's wing was completely healed thanks to Willie and Gene's magic. While Jasmine had wanted to be in there with the others she'd decided against it as she knew nothing of these creatures and thought she'd just be a nuisance.

[Dr. Insano]

(OCC: I know, I should have ATG there but I really want him to just be the crying father who lost his son. Loki will take care of it XDDD. And yeah, olive don't care, he's gonna avenge his baby brother)

Council Tent

Loki was near La and as much as he wanted to rant and rave about the death of pinnochio, he knew that his life wasn't completely destroyed yet. However the parents seemed to not make note, as seen as nella and atg both requested replacements and la as well as he himself were the perfect replacements. He knew that he had things to cherish on. He still had la and he still had... thor. OK, damn it all, loki had to depend on his brother once more. Just for this one fight against a common creature that none of them seemed to make. Loki was tempted to blame facilier just like Ask thatguy was but that made all the things worse. He was more swearing at facilier but when la interupted it all, he too realized she was right. This fighting would be pointless. Loki, heartlessly and apathetically, responded "Yes. I declare also that we make a alliance. La is right. It is pointless to mock and bicker. We are not children" He then turned to Diamanda who asked for any ideas. He growled out "Magic can affect it heavily but I had a hard lesson in the fact it doesn't completely kill the hellish beasts"

"Suppose we try to use both science and magic to defeat the beasts among us? A combination of sorts? Any weaponry that is a combination of both should do well I believe" Vyce suggested calmly

"Perhaps but even then it might not work I hate to say. These monsters have tampered with it all" Zod said, slightly nervous of la's shouting

"They may have tampered with us as one army but with the three of our armies... working together" Shredder glared instantly at Splinter who simply looked away politely "We can possibly create a force powerful enough to kill the accursed thing"

Seven of nine were here in replacement of DarkHeart who wanted to comfort her precious penny. Rodney also was here to support both his love and his master. Rodney saw Mechakara hug his master and smiled in approval of some kind and went over to them, quiet enough to listen to the debate. "Mechakara is correct master. Let us make these horrific creatures suffer for what they did to Master Insuedo and the puppy patch" He turned to mechakara and smiled in a way that said Hey I got your back

Insano was dead set silent. He looked as if he was asleep but he was pretty much spaced out in grief. The whole debate was nothing to him. Life meant nothing anymore. Insuedo, the man who loved him for just him, was dead. Insano couldn't go on. Mechakara, however seemed to not give up and hugged the man. Ignoring the other armies, Insano grabbed his friend and muffled out a very upset rant about insuedo under the other's shirt. He couldn't take it. He then heard mechakara's words, saying that these creatures were going to get their just desserts and they could give it out to them. Insano eventually let go and wiped his tears from his goggles. "You're right. I'm not alone. I have you, my friend" Insano said, weakly smiling. He then patted rodney "And I have my best robot ever" He then sighed "I'm sorry about patch Mechakara. Truly"

Seven of nine turned and snuck away from the loud debate, going over to the small group. She was upset about patch also. She failed to help protect him. She failed her love's pet. She turned to Mechakara and hugged him from behind and like mechakara with his affections, she didn't care if people paid attention to her. It was her boyfriend she cared about. She responded, tearfully so "Forgive me mechakara. I would've given anything to save him or insuedo" Maybe my own life even

Facilier was extremely hateful towards the idea of working with ANY of these people but La was right. They had no choice. They only had each other. They had to work together. "The minute this is done. I'm done with ya'll and I'm doing business as usual" Dr. Facilier said venomously. Then he breathed and listened to the suggestions and turned to vyce "That's not a bad idea. Combining powers. Except it would take forever to build and I don't think we have the time for that!"

Harry percy was horrified by the events. Especially since this meant working with Hal. He glared at the idea but realized that his hatred had to be put aside for now. Percy didn't like but hey, he wasn't here to like things. He turned to Yuki and Fat Cat as well as Teddy who nodded to La's statement, and found himself nodding too. Damn that creature and where it came from He pondered

Critic sighed, realizing his hatred must be put to rest. He saw Linkara, Donny, Splinter, Magnus, Sherlock Holmes and Tony Stark with him to help support this issue. He knew he had to do what was best for the team, not just disagree and bicker. He turned to loki who was determined but seem less lively, he looked sick actually. Critic then sighed "You're right La. Alright. For now we'll all work as a group. Everybody who has a idea how the fuck to kill this thing speak" He instantly thought of a lot of ideas and started counting them down.

Magnus was purely here for the business. He needed to live and surviving for himself was his forte, as well as his coping mechanism. Well he also had Kim to protect(Because he was pretty much now his best friend) but other than her, this whole shebang was pretty much for himself. Yes he was loyal to critic but his fears were for his life and kim's. Linksano was dead and it scarred him a lot. Tony was here for everyone and to protect thor. His friend was now his only means to sticking around. Linkara didn't know what to do yet and neither did splinter, they were here to show support. Though Splinter was here to represent his son, who he now discovered was dead, and he had to put the business of it first and yet he felt that the meeting was a good place to mourn for his eldest. Donny was here to stand by Splinter in case shredder tried to do anything funny to his father.

Facilier's Tent

"Dad no!" Olive said hurtfully "I can't stay here! You have to let me help! I... I don't care if I get hurt but if you really don't wanna lose me you'll take me with you! I lost pete dad! I won't lose you or Gi!" Olive's tears streamed as he begged his father to let him come along. He couldn't bare the thought of failing his brother but failing his father would be so much worse. With malachite dead, his family would be no more. He started sobbing more, saying begs to his father for him to come along. Even going so far as to blame himself for his own little brother's death. Olive sobbed "First mom now pete. I need to do something right for once in my life!"

Ask Thatguy's tent

DarkHeart was with Virus for a little bit, holding his hand and figuring out how to comfort penny. As grateful as she was to have her father, sister and virus here, she knew the family was not complete without patch. Eventually she kissed his cheek and whispered "I am sorry lovely. I need to go see penny" She then got up and saw the little girl pup curled up and in a depressive state. She understood what this meant. Her brother, the key to keeping her together in the villain's army was dead. Sure darkheart was here but they were like cousins or adopted family, Patch and her were biological and that meant more loyalty or time together. The robot quickly went over to penny and rubbed the puppy's back. She tried to pick Penny up and embrace the dog like a blanket. "Darling penny. I am here if you wish to speak. Or say nothing at all and let it out. I wish to let you know, however you want to mourn, I am here with you" She then started getting teary-eyed "Forgive me. I could not save your darling heroic brother"

"Jim, I want to let you know that whatever happens, I'll make them pay. I'm not letting them get away with this" BLS said silently as he allowed jim to hug a part of him as well as the two younger boys. They all lost a important member. As seen with nella crying and ask thatguy coming over to talk with her. The death of pinnochio was hard on them all. He shushed jim's sobbing and looked over to the other two boys, sad that they were in this state of panic and pain.

Mowgli was quiet, subtle, and very saddened, the only sign of his sadness was him huddling with jim and tears streaming down his face. Ronno, on the other hand, was the loudest of the tiny group when it came to crying. His best friend and brother was dead, Ronno failed to protect him and failed to keep him away from the monster's clutches. "W-wh-why him? Why pinnochio? Wh-why? Why can't w-w-we have him back! It's not f-fair!" Ronno stuttered as he sobbed for pinnochio to come back to them

Ask thatguy wordlessly saw his fiance sobbing over the loss of their first, yet youngest, son. He went over to her and put both hands on her shoulders before closing up to her and responding heavilly "I am sorry. I failed as a father. I failed you and him. I am terrible. I'm not worthy. Forgive me" He tried to hug her and started crying pinnochio's name also. He was in so much pain.

Critic's tent

Elsewhere IHeart was with brock and ma-ti resting and upset about what happened, Raphael was protectively hugging michaelangelo, Lilo was clutching onto nani as if she couldn't let go at all, Kiara went to just go by herself and check the unconcious thor, Pepper was sobbing next to freckles about their lost sister Darla, 90's Kid was sobbing over the loss of Willie and Linksano with Chester, Spoony was hugging goggles afraid she would be gone too, Bambi was with littlefoot crying over everything in general, Hal was sitting and mourning the loss of ruber with Elisa finally allowing himself to weep over his friend's death, Lottie was with harvey, and snob was with Roses silently mourning for Joe.

IHeart looked at brock then to ma-ti and then, in some sort of concern, held ma-ti's hand tightly and squeezed it. Snob hugged Roses and responded "I'm sorry about joe roses", 90's kid expressed pure pain and sorrow for his lost comrades, Lottie hugged Harvey tightly, Lilo sobbed some more, Bambi just nuzzled littlefoot, Pepper sobbed into freckles' chest, Kiara laid down trying to sleep and forget this whole nightmare and spoony responded softly to goggles "I'm sorry"

Maleficent watched the proceedings around her with dull eyes. Truth be told, she would have rather been anywhere else than here, even at the bottom of the chasm she’d been left to die in. It was taking everything she had not to stand up and bolt back to the tent, back to her friends, if nothing else to reassure herself that she hadn’t let all of them down. But staying there and crying would accomplish nothing. Even worse, it would make her a hypocrite, for that was the very thing she had accused the Critic of doing when Ma-Ti had been thought to be dead.

Dr. Insano’s voice, and the person he was talking about, was enough to cut through her melancholy. “I’m sorry about Patch, Mechakara.”

The dark fairy was frozen for a second, wide-eyed in shock. Certain that she wouldn’t be missed for long, she quietly rose and went over to the little group forming around Insano.

“Patch is dead?” she managed to ask.

Zedd flinched as La’s shouting drew him back into reality. The warlord had been lost in his own thoughts, quietly replaying everything that had happened a half hour ago. He shook his head. Had it really been so short a time slot? It felt like centuries.

“The only things they seemed weak to were fire and electricity,” Zedd spoke up. He shook his head. “But even that only seemed to slow them down.”

His gaze swept over the assembled soldiers.

“Don’t any of you know what these things are? Perhaps someone from this world?”

Zedd found it hard to believe that the people who lived in this world knew something about everyone gathered here, yet were clueless when it came to the creatures that had attacked them.

[Queen La]

Council Tent:

La smiled glad people were listening to her. She smiled gratefully at Loki knowing he was backing her up.

"Alright. Fire, electricity, magic, and science. All good ideas. We don't have time for anything fancy. Insano, Mechakara, Linkara, and the rest of you genius types you all build sometime to generate strong does of electricity and fire. While some of us can do that even our magic can only go so far before we wear ourselves out. If we start with a powerful dose from the machine and follow it up with our own magic we stand a stronger chase of taking it out." said La.

Hades smirked and nodded.

"She makes a g0od point. Thor has lightning magic. I have fire magic. Maleficent, La, Loki, and Dark Nella I think know a wide range of spells right? Perhaps we should consider adding ice to this as well. Even if the ice slows it down for a bit it could help us hold it for our electric attacks to work." said Hades.

Seven of Eleven turned to Insano and Mechakara and smiled.

"Patch, Insuedo, and the others will be missed. I'm sorry they're gone. They were good friends. They saved us from slavery. I know how important they were to you both. If you ever need anything I'm here for you both." said Seven.

Mechakara smiled as Rodney, Seven of Nine, and Seven of Eleven joined him and Insano.

"Thank you all for your concern. We did our best. It just wasn't good enough. And I know we're not the only ones who lost people. Pinocchio, Mano, Terl, and many others died today in all 3 armies. We have to take these freaks out before more of us end up dead." said Mechakara.

He turned to Insano and smiled at his words.

"I will always be there for you my friend. You have been my master twice in this world. But you were a friend to me when I needed one." said Mechakara.

He paused turning to Maleficent and sighed.

"Yes. That creature got him. I tried to save him but the creature trapped me against the wall with its tentacles. It somehow knew I wasn't edible so it got me out of the way. Patch is gone. I'm sorry." said Mechakara.

Yuki turned looking over at Harry. He smiled wrapping his arms around him.

"I'm just grateful I didn't lose you. I know we'll sort this out and take those things out." said Yuki.

He kissed Harry on the cheek and held him tightly.

Fat Cat sighed.

"The thing looks like he came out of a horror film. Like Zedd said doesn't any of you know what that creature is?" said Fat cat.

Teddy sighed.

"I know what it is. It's a creature. It's called The Thing. It was from an old horror movie. It's gotten several sequels, remakes, and even comic book sequels after that one. But it's the same premise. It was weak against fire and electricity. Linkara we should begin the test. To make sure none of us are infected by it. If The Thing is among us then our plans will be useless." said Teddy.

Rita remained silent hearing Teddy speak about the Thing made her nervous. It sounded almost worse than a monster she'd sick on the rangers. This monster seemed unbeatable.

Nella overheard Mechakara say Pinocchio was gone and sobbed sadly. Chick hugged her.

"It's ok Nella. We'll make these things pay for taking everyone from us. These things are going down." said Chick.

Mike turned looking at Sherlock and grinned. He wrapped his arm Sherlock's waist into a hug perhaps a bit too tight.

"I feel guilty we made it when so many lost their boyfriends, or girlfriends, or children. We have to do something and take it out. I think La's right. We need to build something to make strong lightning blasts to hit the creatures." said Mike.

Marzgurl stayed close to Linkara. She heard Teddy say they needed testing to see if the Thing was among them.

"Tests? What kind of tests?" asked Marzgurl.

Diamanda, and Carly both were silent. Although Carly was intrigued by the creature. Hearing they needed some testing done she grinned. At least she'd have something to do while they waited..

Facilier's Tent:

Gi spoke up next.

"Sorry Malachite. But we're both going. We have to be a part of this. I couldn't save Pete. I had him and my grip slipped. I feel I have to help take this thing out. And you know we're going with or without you. So you might as well let us come with you so we'll be together." said Gi.

Malachite turned from Olive to Gi and sighed.

"Alright. I suppose I can't force you to stay. There may not be a safe place as long as those creatures are around. I just can't lose you two Olive. I promised your mother I'd protect you. And that's what I'm going to do." said Malachite.

He froze at Olive's words that he didn't care if he got hurt as Malachite hugged him tighter.

"I care. If you got hurt... if that thing swallowed you I don't think I could go on. It was bad enough losing Pete. I can't lose your too." said Malachite.

Ask That Guy's Tent:

Virus watched as they left as he turned looking as she went over to Pepper and he remained silent. He wasn't good with words so he let Dark Heart talk with Penny. Scar was still in silent mourning of Zira. Duke Nukem and Chuckles remained silent. Not even Chuckles felt it was right to crack jokes.

Penny turned to Dark Heart and whimpered.

"Why did I have to lose him? All I have is Wizzer here from my original family. Cadpig and the others are still at Critic's house or back at the farm in our world. I love you, Mechakara, and the others. You guys are family too. But I just miss my dalmatian family especially patch." said Penny.

(ooc: poor mano. he's chopped liver. only Jim's remembering him at the moment.)

Jim smiled at BLS grateful for him.

"Thanks. I don't know what I'd do if I lost you too." whispered Jim.

He held BLS, Ronno, and Mowgli tight as he sobbed as well. He heard Ronno's question and smiled sadly.

"I don't know Ronno. I wish he was still here. But that monster took him away from us. And we will make him pay." said Jim.

Dark Nella turned to see Ask That Guy. She turned pulling him into a hug as she couldn't help but sob.

"It's not your fault or mine. That monster took our sons away from us. Pinocchio and Mano. And several of our members as well. We have to make it pay." said Dark Nella.

Critic's Tent:

Ma-Ti turned to Iheart and hugged her before pulling her into a kiss. He pulled back smiling sadly.

"I don't know what I'd have done if I lost you. I'm so glad you're safe." said Ma-Ti.

Michelangelo hugged Raphael back.

"What if those things ate Leo? What if we don't get the chance to get him back?" whispered Michelangelo sadly.

Nani saw LIlo and hugged her.

"I lost Morpheus. But I made a promise to you and to myself. I'm going to keep you safe. I won't let that monster anywhere near you." said Nani.

Freckles hugged Pepper as she sobbed.

"I can't believe Darla's gone. It's not fair." said Freckles.

Chester hugged 90's Kid.

"We lost a lot of good friends today. But I'm glad I still have you. We'll make them pay. Maybe Linkara will let you use his BFG gun or something." said Chester.

Harvey hugged Lottie back and sighed.

"I can't believe it. Linksano's gone. For awhile I thought Linkara was stupid for trusting him. He is a villain and a Dr. Insano from another universe. But he proved me wrong. He became a good friend. I'm going to make those bastards pay for taking him away from us." said Harvey.

Goggles looked at Spoony and held him close.

"Whatever happens let's stay together. I was separated from you once. I don't want that to happen again." said Goggles.

Thor woke up with a yawn as he saw they were no longer in Critic's house as he realized what happened. He remembered Rogue touching him and that had knocked him out. He looked to see Mjolnir lie next to him. It had been pulled in by the portal thankfully so it wasn't left behind. Thor knew they had to take out the monsters. But it had killed Jane Foster and several others. He wasn't sure if he was in the fighting mood.

Brock meanwhile watched everyone and sighed. He was grateful to be alive but hoped they could find a way to take the monsters out before anyone else got hurt or eaten.

Littlefoot nuzled Bambi and whimpered.

"I keep losing people. First my mother, and now this. We have to stop that monster. Somehow." said Littlefoot.

Lord Zedd nodded in satisfaction, pleased by the effect his words had had on the group. Ultimately it was Teddy who answered his question. The thing was called just that, the Thing, and it was a creature from a horror movie. From what Zedd had seen of the monster, that wasn’t hard to believe.

When the mysterious test was brought up, Zedd felt a hint of dread gnaw at his stomach. He shifted closer to Rita until he could whisper into her ear without being overheard (or so he hoped). “We aren’t human. Who’s to say that this test won’t affect us differently and make them think we’re infected?”

Maleficent stared at Mechakara in disbelief, feeling as though her stomach had dropped.

Patch was gone. The creature had taken the life of someone else she had cared for – and she did still care for Patch, even if he had changed sides.

Now that she had gotten the information she came for, the dark fairy nodded curtly and turned her head back to the main discussion. They were still trying to work out a way to kill the Thing. As she had nothing new to contribute to the conversation, she remained silent until the test was brought up. Her eyes went to Teddy.

“And just what does this test entail, Ruxpin?” Maleficent inquired, a hint of suspicion edging into her voice.
