Being A Friend (Raphael)

[Sir Ruber]

(ooc: March 4th. Afternoon.)

Ruber had heard about Raphael and Michelangelo joining them. He hadn't spent much time with them at Ask That Guy's house. Although he'd trained with Raphael a couple times. Raphael had actually been the only opponent he enjoyed fighting aside from Hal. He hoped he could find him and they could spar or just hang out. Raphael probably was feeling a bit left out here so perhaps he could use a friend. They were both ex-members of Ask That Guy's army after all. Although Ruber knew he was an ex-member of Facilier's as well and would have both armies gunning for him for betraying them while Raphael and his brother Michelangelo would just have one. Ruber paused walking to Raphael's room. The door was open and he saw Raphael was in there alone. He smiled and he walked in as he tried to be friendly.

"Hello Raphael. It's me Ruber. It's good to see you again. Are you free to talk? Or you busy meditating or thinking?" asked Ruber.

He knew the turtle was a ninja and while he didn't really understand the art of being a ninja. He did know it was important to Raphael and the rest of his family. So he walked up to him waiting for him to reply.

[Raphael]

Raphael was thinking about the times he spent here, and many were extremely forgiving and yet the turtle couldn't understand why. He did so much to them and they shrugged it off like it was nothing. Ask Thatguy was probably gonna hunt him and his family down and the very thought frightened him, if only because he was at risk. He actually now felt that maybe ask thatguy deserved to be rebelled against by Facilier but raphael still hated facilier for taking away leonardo so some of his thoughts were complex. He sat by himself only to hear a voice and turned shocked to see ruber. "Ruber? Thought I'd never see you again since facilier's forces and whatnot" He sighed and smiled "It's good to see you doin' well though man. Hey, we've handled quite a lot of armies haven't we?" He then was shocked to hear ruber speak so friendly to him. He smiled and shrugged "Yeah. I'm free to talk. What do you want to talk about? Other than I totally was a idiot for listening to Ask Thatguy"

[Sir Ruber]

Ruber smiled at him.

"I went with Facilier's side because I thought they were the right one. I'd probably still be there if this curse didn't make me serve Hal. Although I suppose it's not so bad here." said Ruber.

He paused at Raphael and smiled.

"You know we didn't spend much time together but I did respect you. Perhaps we could have been friends if the army hadn't split. You were probably the one one I did miss when I left with the others. Someone I considered an equal." said Ruber.

Ruber paused as Raphael said he was free to talk.

"I'd like us to just chat. And perhaps be friends. We have a lot in common. We're both warriors who sometimes lose control of our tempers. Although you had your brothers and Splinter. I had no one to keep me grounded. Perhaps if I had someone like you did I wouldn't have ended up so badly." said Ruber.

He paused as Raphael said he was an idiot and he shook his head. He put a hand on Raphael's shoulder.

"No. You're not. They lied to you and they were very convincing. They lied to you, Michelangelo and several of the children. But you are not stupid. They're the stupid ones lying to you in the first place and thinking it would last." said Ruber.

He paused before speaking again.

"You and Michelangelo were lucky. You were lied to but at least you were still you. Your poor brother's memories are gone. All he knows is serving Malachite. Even if we were to capture him we'd need to find a way to undo whatever Malachite did to him. And that might takes some time. But I'll help you try to free him. I know some of the short cuts and secrets and they're not likely to change them all. Maybe they'll add some traps to them but I'd like to help you if I can." said Ruber.

[Raphael]

"Eh, I kind of understand. Your opinions were different. That said, the reason I went against was because I was loyal to Ask Thatguy and Facilier was threatening my brother..." A growl came out of him before he could stop it. Because of malachite and facilier was his brother Leo suddenly turned against him and his family. It didn't help that Ruber also knew about this also. He felt ruber would've stopped it if he and raph were closer friends but Raph didn't blame Ruber. He blamed the people who were responsible of his anger. He turned and pondered "Wait that shakespeare, ginger-bearded looking dude is Hal? Funny. I thought his name would be something royalish, like Victor or somethin'. Then again I'm a ninja and I'm named after a italian artist" For the first time in a while, Raphael made a joke and actually enjoyed making it. He snorted after he said that.

He then smiled as Ruber told him that despite not knowing each other well, the man respected him and would've been friends if not for the army splitting. Raph felt nice to hear that someone he didn't really know liked him enough to respect him and consider to be a equal. "Thanks ruber. Hey, let us have by gones between be freakin' by gones. Ya can forget about Ask Thatguy now. I'm just glad we can catch up now. It's no big deal. Really. Ya know, you're pretty badass too"

He then smiled and nodded at Ruber's suggestions at being friends, also agreeing that the two had a lot of things as common. One of them being the fact they had a temper that meant no bounds. Raph patted the knight's shoulder and responded cheerfully "Hey. We can totally be friends. I think you just need a second chance. Like me. There are some people who deserve one too and I think you definitely do. Besides, we do have a lot of things in common, a hot temper and a pretty sarcastic side to ourselves huh?" He chuckled once more at that.

He let go of the man's shoulder as Ruber put his hand on his and responded that he wasn't a idiot for what he did. Raph had a hard time believing that and still disagreed with that, even Donny or splinter couldn't convince him. He sighed before ranting angerily "But I was the one who, in the end, complied to what they told me. If I did more research or snoopin' around, I'd probably have left a long time ago. Plus I convinced mikey of the lies they told me, so in a way I was involvin' myself into the lie. I couldn't keep my brother safe from them and I didn't even know it! What kind of brother can't protect the youngest one? A terrible one that's who. And better yet, he got captured and what did I do instead of immediately try to stop them? I moped around like some emo brat" He huffed and walked slightly, pounding the wall beside ruber and himself in anger. Raph was the only thing Michaelangelo had at the time, and in that time mikey got hurt, abused, abandoned, suffered torture or damage that not even Raphael knew about and more importantly got punished by a god who was trying to kill HIM. Tears started to stream down his face. He turned to see Ruber saddened and empathetic, but the turtle was on a emotional turmoil that he was forced to keep down too early.

"And don't even get me started about leo! He not only doesn't remember ME, but he doesn't even remember who he really IS! I tried so hard, because there was one time where Leo nearly joined shredder if not me telling him that he already had a family, but he just shrugged me off. He said that I wasn't his brother, that he never had me as a brother!" Raph shouted, hot tears streaming even more. "Look I know we'll find a way to get him back, and that malachite will suffer what he did but I just can't shake the feeling that somewhere in there Leo's screaming for me to help him. I can't help him if he doesn't want me to help!" He then covered his face and started sobbing. "I--I'm sorry ruber but I've been tryin' so hard to be the strong one but.... but..."

[Sir Ruber]

Ruber paused shaking his head.

"You thought you were in the right place. Ask That Guy and the others are just very manipulative. They didn't just trick you. They tricked all those poor kids as well. Especially that poor boy Pinocchio. I heard he thinks his father replaced him. To prey on a child's fears and insecurities like that was just wrong. Even when I was mad I wouldn't hurt a child. My enemy was Arthur. Sir Lionel got in the way and I didn't intend to kill him. I was trying to knock him out of the way. I've done things I've come to regret. Even before this war." said Ruber.

He should have been content with what he had. An equal share of land with the other knights. Why had been so greedy? So much had gone wrong. He'd killed sir Lionel, fled into exile, and been driven mad during that time. Thankfully he was no longer mad. He been thinking clearer than he had in years. And he'd now come to realize just what a fool he'd been in Camelot and here in the war. He chuckled at Raphael's description of Hal.

"Yep, That's him. Well, I think his real name is Henry but he prefers to go by Hal. I'm not sure why though." said Ruber.

He paused as he said he was named after an Italian painter.

"And your brothers are Donatello, Leonardo, and Michelangelo. I should have figured that out." said Ruber, chuckling.

Ruyer smiled glad Raphael didn't hold a grudge and said they could be friends agreeing they had many similarities.

"Thanks. I guess I've never really been the "friends" type of person before. But I like you and your style. You remind me of myself when I was your age." said Ruber.

Ruber paused as Raphael kept blaming himself.

"Stop it right now. Stop blaming yourself. I'm going to tell you something. I wasn't one of the people who tortured your brother but I heard what other said about it. He refused to break down and cry. He didn't even scream when they hurt him. He didn't even show fear. He said he was trying to be like you. He kept saying he had faith he'd be with you again. And one day as I was making my rounds I overheard him say something." said Ruber.

Ruber walked by the dungeon cell as Michelangelo was shaking at the latest beating. His wounds had already healed thanks to the spell. He was chatting with Goggles whose cell was right next to him. He stopped hearing part of a conversation.

"Michelangelo, how can you be so calm? You don't cry, you don't scream. All you get is mad at them." said Goggles.

"I'm channeling my brother Raphael. He was always the tough one. He didn't let anything bother him. I love all my brothers but Raphael's the best. He was always there for me. Even when I was little and scared especially during lightning storms. Raphael just always seemed to help calm me down. Of course, he'd deny it afterward or say I was dreaming but I knew he was helping me. He's my hero. And I know one day I'll be with him again. And we'll get Leo, Donny, and Splinter back and be a family again." said Michelangelo.

Ruber then walked away to complete his rounds.

Ruber paused glancing at Raphael and smiled.

"Do you understand? No one blames you. Not your brothers, not Splinter, and certainly not me. You need to let this guilt go Raphael. Your brothers need you. Especially Mikey. He kept all those emotions in Raph but he relieves those horrible days in his nightmares. I've heard his cries in the night sometimes." said Ruber.

He paused as Raphael pounded on the walls and then started talking about Leo.

"Leo's under a spell. One we'll break. And then your family will be together again. Leonardo will be back here before you know it." said Ruber.

He paused as Raphael started sobbing and Ruber immediately wrapped Raphael into a hug.

"It's alright. I understand. We're friends and sort of kindred spirits I suppose in a way. You don't have to hide anything from me. You want to vent. You want to cry. Then you vent and you cry. And I won't breathe a word of what happens here not even to your family if that's what you want. Just don't shut down on me. I want to help you if I can." said Ruber.

He could see the pain and sadness in Raphael's eyes and hear it in his tone. He was going to help him however he could.

[Raphael]

"Yeah I heard that too. It is wrong. Those kids. I wish we helped them but you know, we were escaping" Raphael said about the situation with ask thatguy. He then listened to more of what ruber said and realized that ruber was more compassionate than he let on "Yeah. I could care less about adults. Kids are just different. They're little and whatnot" He then chuckled slightly about Henry/Hal and shrugged "Maybe his real name is a trigger or something. Why not ask him?"

His anger though came running back as Michaelangelo was inspired by him. Him, a hot headed idiot, was his younger brother's idol. He wiped his tears and responded "I should say the same thing about my brother. I tried to be positive and more fun because of him. He was always a bonehead but he was MY bonehead. He was so nice and kind and funny" He wiped his tears "He's more of a man than me. And I'm older than he is. He was so tough handling all of that. But I should've not let him handle that. He's my brother"

He then felt remorse for his anger as Ruber said that what happened was not raph's fault. That nobody, including ruber himself, didn't blame him for what happened. He also was hurt about yelling about leo, because Ruber was right about leo being under a spell and not meaning those things. He then was shocked to see Ruber hug him but at Ruber's assurances that he was there as his friend and would allow him to be upset and cry. "T-thank you. I don't want them to know but thank you. I think I really need this" He started sobbing again "I hate Facilier and Ask Thatguy. They ruined my family. They tore me and my family apart. I didn't even know it. And I'm going to kill loki someday for him trying to kill me and my brother"

[Sir Ruber]

Ruber nodded.

"I understand. Those kids have been lied to. We'll find a way to get to them I hope." said Ruber.

He would never have thought of rescuing kids but perhaps time with Hal, Raphael, and the others here was starting to change him. Into the knight and the hero, he could have been.

"Perhaps. Or maybe he wants to forget his past. Not all of us had happy ones so if he prefers a different name that's his choice." said Ruber.

Ruber paused listening to him.

"You all are different. The four of you make a great team. If all of you were the same well you wouldn't be the great team or family you are now. It's ok to admire and respect each other but don't lose what makes you special. I'd say the same thing to Michelangelo if he'd listen that is." said Ruber.

Ruber shook his head.

"You can't protect him from everything. This is a war. We're all going to hurt physically, emotionally, and mentally. But we can't let it destroy us. Michelangelo and Leonardo need you and Donatello and Splinter now more than ever. If you're Michelangelo's hero then did you think perhaps your other brothers look up to you as well? You're the tough guy but you don't have to be tough all the time." said Ruber.

He paused listening to Raphael's words.

"You're my friend. I never really had a friend before. I was so wrapped up in my greed and selfishness. Perhaps my life wouldn't have gotten so bad if I had a friend like you in Camelot." said Ruber.

Ruber nodded.

"I hate them now as well. They've hurt Hal, you, and the rest of this army so much through brainwashing, lying, and tricks. I still can't believe I was a part of either army now. But you have my support. If you ever want to vent, cry, or just hang out and have a few laughs I'm here for you my friend." said Ruber.

He paused hearing Raphael's words and frowned.

"Don't you ever go near Loki you hear me? You know why your brother got hurt? To save your life! Do you think he or any of your family would want you to die trying to get your revenge? Forget about Loki. We'll take him out. But I wouldn't want to lose you either my friend." said Ruber.

[Raphael]

"We will. Just someday, we'll have to think about how to help them first" Raphael said softly, as if feeling bad for leaving pinnochio and the other children on such short notice. If they tried, they could've gotten them out of there. At ruber's comment that maybe hal had a cruddy past he shrugged "Could be or he might miss it enough to want to forget it. But yeah, his name is whatever he wants. I like Hal anyway"

"Yeah. Splinter said the same things you're saying. That we have similar weaknesses and strengths yet we are all connected because we have something the other brother in the group doesn't, so just be ourselves. He said... Leo had the best dicipline and control, donny had the brains and was the sweetest, I had the courage and warrior strength and mikey was the one to make us laugh or have fun" He smirked at that, thinking of that conversation of years past. Splinter now said that since the four were growing while they recieved more personality traits, that was pretty much it to tell the turtle's seperately.

He then frowned hurtfully as he knew Ruber was right. Raph couldn't protect mikey, donny, splinter or even leo of the war's antics and actions. That he and others were going to be hurt in many ways. That despite the terrible war, they needed to not give up. Donny, mikey, leo and splinter all needed raph to do his part and raph knew that but ruber's reminder made the turtle know that this war wasn't some stupid scheme or joke. "Well, I don't know about leo but maybe donny. I don't know. But.. you're right. I need to help him out, not keep him away. It'll hurt him more. I need to stop protecting him in that sense"

He smiled softly as he hugged ruber, appreciating Ruber's praise "It's not a problem. I'm glad to be your friend. I'm very glad that I make your time here easier. I'm glad you wanted me to be there for you previously but I guess I'm here now right?" He then hugged tighter as Ruber kept talking to him about the other armies and the fact that he too now hated them because of their evil deeds and that Ruber was there to support him as his friend. "Thank you. I won't forget this. You really are a great friend, ruber"

"Alright. Yeah, besides he'd kill me and I can't let anybody do that. Not after what mikey went through to get here. I can never repay the debt I owe mikey for saving me back there. I can't hold a grudge this way, I'll just find a way to take them all down. It's just... Loki needs to pay somehow, man. Somehow. I don't want anyone to lose me but I don't want that damn god to go unpunished" Raph said sourfully. Despite listening to reason, he still wanted to make the god miserable for what he did to his brother.

[Sir Ruber]

Ruber nodded.

"I hope so. Those kids have been lied to and manipulated just as much as you and your brother were. I have a feeling some of the members on Ask That Guy's army could even be brainwashed but I'm not certain." said Ruber.

Ruber nodded.

"You're probably right. And Hal is a fine name." said Ruber.

Ruber grinned glad he was cheering up Raphael a little. He listened as Raphael explained how the four turtles were different.

"Good. This Splinter sounds very wise. I'm glad you had him and your other brothers here to help you. And I haven't met Leonardo yet but I know he's right about the rest of you. You " said Ruber.

He paused as Raphael looked upset at Ruber's words. But Raphael did seem to agree with him.

"I'll help you out my friend. They won't get to you or your family. Not while I'm here." said Ruber.

He grinned as Raphael hugged him back.

"I wish I wasn't bound to be here. But I suppose this is the only reason I'm not in a cell right now. I have been on both villain armies so I understand why not many here trust me. But I'm glad I have you and Hal as my friends." said Ruber.

Ruber smiled grinning a little. He'd never had a friend before. He frowned realizing his pet griffin had been the closest he'd had to a friend and he treated him horribly. He hoped the griffin was happy now wherever he was.

"Thank you. You and Hal taught me what it was like to be a friend. I never really had friends before. Aside from my pet griffin. But I treated him so horribly. Like a slave instead of a friend. I wish I could make it up to him but I'll probably never see him again." said Ruber.

He smiled as Raphael agreed to not go after Loki.

"We'll find a way to stop him. Perhaps it'll be Thor. Thor is a god after all. If anyone can stop Loki it'll be him. Or maybe Maleficent." said Ruber.

[Raphael]

"You're right in the manipulation part, it's the brainwashed part I'm not entirely sure about. It's hard to figure out who's willing and who's lied to. Trust me, we really couldn't tell the difference unless we were shown in very specific details when me and my brother were there" Raphael responded when ruber and he talked about the victims and children in ask thatguy's army. "Yeah. Don't know what's the story behind the name but it is nice" Raphael replied with a smile. He didn't know hal too well yet but something about him was good in raph's eyes. Something said that hal was a good man and that you could count on him to help you.

"He is wise. He's a really wise person. I'm grateful to still have him and my other two brothers with me still. But thanks ruber, I'm glad you still have faith in me" Raphael replied with a grin. Touched that ruber really had enough trust and faith in his abilities.

"I trust you ruber. Thanks. I'm glad you have my back" Raphael smiled as ruber promised that he wouldn't allow raphael or his family to get hurt again. He smiled as he and ruber kept hugging "I'm sorry that you're not here entirely on your free will. But I got your back like you got mine and hopefully hal's got your back too" He then nodded as ruber admitted that raph and hal were the only ones he actually knew to be friends with, that he had a pet that he considered a friend but treated badly "It's ok. We're not perfect. Hopefully your griffin is ok whereever he is and I'm more than happy to be your friend"

"Thor's his bro I think, and knowing the brother bond thor might be pissed that he hurt mikey but will try not to hurt him too bad and that's fine, they're brothers and they should still have a ok relationship. Maybe maleficent is the best way to go and take loki down. She's fantastic with power from what I heard about her" Raphael replied as the situation turned to loki and how to deal with him again.

[Sir Ruber]

Ruber nodded.

"Well I'm sure the kids and teens are the ones that have been lied to. They're more naieve. So willing to trust. So easy to fool. The adults are the grey area. Not even I know if everyone there was a willing member or not." said Ruber.

Ruber smirked.

"Well whatever the reason it's his. Hal's a good name." said Ruber.

Ruber smiled as Raphael talked about Splinter and his brothers.

"I'm sorry you don't have Leo here with you. But I promise you my friend I will help you get him back. Your family will be whole again. No matter what it takes." said Ruber.

Ruber grinned.

"I'm glad. I never really had much friends before. Or use for them. But you and Hal are probably the first real friends I've ever had. Well aside from my pet griffin and I treated him horribly before. If he showed up here I wouldn't blame him if he joined the other armies." said Ruber.

Ruber grinned as he hugged Raphael again.

"Well I'm the fool who made that pledge. I didn't realize part of the sword Excalibur was still merged with me and bound me to my word. When I first found out about this I wished I'd died. But he's cured me of my madness. I've been driven mad by my exile from Camelot and I can think more clearly than I have in years. I was a knight of Camelot. I was going to be given a equal share of land like everyone else. But I let my selfishness and greed turn me into a villain and ruin any chance I had at happiness. I think I've been given a second chance and I'm not going to blow it." said Ruber.

Ruber smiled at Raphael.

"Thank you. I'm glad I have you as a friend. This is still new to me so I'm sorry if I ever get you mad or offend you down the line." said Ruber.

Ruber nodded listening to him.

"I see. Thor and Loki are brothers. Well maybe we can have Thor take out Hades. They're both gods so Thor might be able to take out Hades at least. Even if we have to capture Loki to spare Thor any pain. Perhaps we could seal him up in something. I'm sure our scientists could come up with something." said Ruber.

He paused as Raphael suggested Maleficent.

"True. She could be just what we need to take down Loki." said Ruber.

[Raphael]

"Now that's true. The manipulated ones are easily the kids and teens. The adults we'll have to be more careful but it's a very safe bet that we need to help every single kid. Kids aren't stupid but if I know any better, and I do, they don't use their brains enough to tell out a lie" Raph agreed on the situation about the children. He knew the kids were in much more danger and therefore needed to be assisted far more. He nodded about Ruber's agreement about Hal's name and ended that part of the conversation. However, as the topic went to Leo, Raph's gaze went sad once more but he responded calmly "I believe you. We'll get Leo back. One way or another. Leo's not a quitter, he'll snap out of it eventually. Malachite can take away him for a while but never forever"

"That's good, you shouldn't blow it, you should be free to do the right thing now. I'm not going to blow my second chance either. Even though I was lied to, I'm still going to prove to these people that I'm on their side. I want to set things right. Just as much as you do, I'm sure. I may not have been driven insane but I was just as angry, at the wrong people, these people are far nicer than Ask thatguy" Raph said as Ruber and he talked about second chances. Mercy was a powerful thing, this Raph knew, but the effect it had on the people given the mercy to was even more powerful. It gave them the choice to change or continue their actions. And either one was just as powerful of a effect.

"Not a problem, man. Don't worry about it. You'll learn the ropes" Raph responded "I'm not good at makin' friends myself. The only ones I successfully made was April and Casey and even with them I was actin' off every once in a while. Don't be nervous with me" Raph assured with a smile. He didn't want ruber to feel nervous because the two were so vulnerable but for different reasons.

"That's fine with me. Thor is his brother, and knowing me with leo, I could never ask him to take down loki. He can take down hades for all I care. Sealing loki up is a nice idea, just so he knows that he picked the wrong turtle to mess with" Raphael said, a growl surging within him. He continued to talk about loki and grinned as Ruber seemed to agree to his idea of taking down loki with maleficent "She is! We might need to plan it out though. She might want something in return. Nothin', especially revenge, comes for free"

[Sir Ruber]

Ruber nodded listening to him.

"Sounds like we focus on them then. Perhaps we get our magic guys to find some way to find out who's under a spell. I mean for all we know there could be more than we think in both armies. I wouldn't want to leave even one person behind who was under a spell. Especially if we had no idea they were." said Ruber.

Ruber smiled glad he was helping Raphael some.

"He will be back very soon. But he isn't the only one. We have to save Leo, Jasmine, and the rest of their slaves. I guess I won't be a part of it if it happens soon since I'm still recovering from my wounds. If it does make sure you smack Facilier or one of the others a few times for me." said Ruber.

Ruber grinned at Raphael.

"Yes. I wish to do some good. I became selfish and then became mad obsessed with revenge and power. Becoming Hal's servant as cured my madness and give me a second chance. I will not blow this. I admit I am selfish by nature so it will take me time to adjust to caring about others. But I've already started to care about you, and Hal. And even that fellow Angry Joe. Even if he gets on my nerves a lot." said ruber.

Ruber grinned.

"Thanks. You think once I'm healed up enough we could spar some time?" said Ruber.

Ruber nodded.

"I guess we're in the same boat in a way. Our temper and attitude kept us as the lone wolf as it were. At least you had your family and a couple friends. My men and my pet griffin I used as pawns. And I regret that. Even in the knights before I betrayed Arthur I had no friends. Perhaps if I had even one friend I wouldn't have been so selfish. But I can't change the past. I can only do better in the future." said Ruber.

Ruber nodded.

"I think it's best we have Thor or Maleficent take on Loki. They're the most powerful. Any one else could be hurt or worse enslaved. I've heard Loki can make people serve him just like Malachite did to your brother. So I suppose it's a good thing he didn't do that to you or Michelangelo." said Ruber.

Ruber nodded.

"Well I'm sure we could work out something with her. Plus Loki is a threat so she probably would want to take him out anyway. I got it. She takes out Loki and we could help free her friend Princess Jasmine. She's been trapped there for too long anyway." said Ruber.

[Raphael]

"Sounds like a plan to me too. The magic-oriented people in this army is sure to find the ones manipulated from the ones who are willing. I think we're on the right track!" Raph said enthusiastically, seeing that he and ruber were indeed putting effort on their part by planning things out. Sure it wasn't a action-packed start but Raph learned very quickly that in this universe, things took talking AND action.

"You're right. I know leo's not the only one. I want to help that jasmine chick and the rest of them. I'm sorry, I guess leo was on my mind for a bit" Raph said, remembering that his family wasn't the only thing suffering. "People change. It's like life. It changes constantly and so do people. True many people stay the same but not everyone does. You're a example of people who can be both good and bad. The past is the past man, and it's high-time you just clear your fixed head and live for now. I used to think people always were bad or good but then I met you and a few others like my friend casey" He smiled then, his posture still casual but it had a hint of trust and affection for his new friend. He wanted ruber to know that in raph's eyes, he was no villain but a friend, a trusted one.

"Sure! Whenever you want!" Raph said, excitement in his tone "About time I have a sparring partner!" He then listened as Ruber about the concept of being the lone wolf and that he could only change the future because his past was un-changeable "You're right man. The future is always based on our choices. And I'm sorry that you can't fix your mistakes from the past but maybe things will turn up better for you here"

He turned to Ruber and sighed as he said that maleficent could work out a deal and that deal would be if she handled loki, raph and ruber could save her friend jasmine "She's friends with jasmine? Well now I can see how this deal can work. It might be a risky thing for us but I'm willing to do it if it'll get loki a good-old butt-kicking for what he did to my brother"

"Good. You know I'm glad to see you smiling and laughing. I know this is a war but you need to try to have some fun. To be happy. Or this war will drive you crazy. Believe me. I was crazy once. I don't wish that on anyone." said Ruber.

Ruber smiled as Raphael spoke about him. How he'd changed and the past was in the past.

"Thank you. I don't know if anyone from my world would be as forgiving. I'll probably stay here when this war is over. Unless you wouldn't mind if I went back with you to your world. I have very few friends and I really don't know if I want to say goodbye to you. If I didn't have to." said Ruber.

Ruber grinned as Raphael agreed to train with him once he healed.

"Great. That's more of an incentive for me to get better then." said Ruber.

He nodded as Raphael agreed with him.

"We've both made mistakes in our past. Everyone has. But together we can make a better future for all of us. And make sure our loved ones are safe and the two evil armies fall." said Ruber.

"If not Thor then surely Maleficent will do it. Or one of those superheroes could do it for sure." said Ruber.

Ruber nodded as Raphael seemed shocked by it.

"Yes. It is a surprising friendship. A dark fairy and a princess. But they are good friends. Jasmine's made many friends here I'm sure. We all are eager to bring her back." said Ruber.
