[Fat Cat]

Fat Cat walked into the circus with a grin. He admired a new diamond ring on his finger. One he'd stolen from a customer. Although he made sure to do it away from the circus so no one would suspect them. It was gorgeous. It was definitely a start. While his henchmen were idiots he hadn't been used to doing all the work himself. But he had actually found it useful. He paused hearing footsteps as he turned seeing it was Harry.

"Hi Harry. You adjusting well? I'm one of the army's medics so I have a lot of free time. If you need help with learning more about this time." said Fat Cat.

He was surprised by how helpful he was being. But he started to like this army. Humans he'd stayed away from most in his old world. But now he was working with humans, animals, robots, and everything else. He grinned at Harry showing he was trying to be friendly. He wanted to make some friends here since aside from Gadget he hadn't seen anyone from his universe and he really didn't want to spend time talking with that annoying rodent anymore than he had to.

Harry Percy was admittedly foreign still to how people would react to him or how he should behave. When Lord Zedd responded coldly to him when he first arrived, Harry blamed his innocence being a negative factor but Harry did not come to be approved by and Harry knew that. He only came to serve a good cause. So Percy didn't let it effect him but it did leave a impression on him. How could he react to the area he was now in? This was the reason why he observed the circus and the people from today's performances, he observed that many people were different sure and he too was himself different but it still left him to wonder. He walked some more only to realize one of the members, Fat Cat, here with a very shiny ring. Harry's eyes looked at the ring before hearing the cat speak friendly-like. Harry instantly smiled but it was out of curiousity. When Fat Cat asked how he was doing he admitted "Your world is not my own. It is strange. Yet I say I quite like you and your people"

He chuckled and looked around "Tis a strange place. Facilier calls it a circus, but I haven't been to anything of that kind" He then expressed relief and excitement when the cat volunteered to teach him the ways of the world "Aye! That'd do well friend! Dear fat cat, do you really think meself can really apply to the culture here?"

[Fat Cat]

Fat Cat nodded.

"Thanks. I like you too. And I don't really like much humans." said Fat Cat.

He grinned. His view on humans had changed. He thought they were just good for food and homes like his old owner had been. But the people in Facilier's Army were different. He hadn't made much friends here yet but he had a feeling Harry was one of his first friends.

"Yeah. It's a modern invention. It's probably similar to a festival you'd have. Only instead of games we entertain the crowd. With several acts including animals, clowns, juggling, you name it. And it's the perfect cover as many of your members aren't exactly human looking. So they can pass for special effects or really good costumes here." said Fat Cat.

He grinned as Harry was glad to help him

"Of course. It may take some time depending on how fast you learn things. I know not everyone's the same. But I'll be happy to help you out." said Fat.

He paused remembering he was a bit out of touch with this reality as his world was 10 years in the past after all.

"Well it was the 1992 in my world so I'm about 10 years out of date. But anything I don't know we could learn together. Or get help from the people from this world. Like Malachite. The guy's lived for centuries. A perk of being a sorcerer. Of course being one of the leaders he might be pretty busy. So we could go check out the library or the internet for information. It's what people do in this time when they want to know things." said Fat Cat.

"Well then. I should be honored eh?" Harry responded as Fat Cat stated he was not fond of humans except Harry. That made him feel special. He then listened as Fat Cat explained that a circus was a festival with entertainment and animal acts, clowns, juggling and whatnot. Now harry seemed to really enjoy the concept of the circus and smiled "My my, that does give me a good feeling that I live in a area where we do entertainment. Agreeable idea I think" He looked about as Fat Cat told him that it would take time. Harry didn't mind that. There was no rush. He responded "I supposed it would but I can be a patient man. I just require someone willing to teach me then I'll be alright"

He then listened to realize Fat Cat had some problems too due to also living at a time not very in tune with this one. At the suggestion of learning together Harry nodded "That sounds easy to do, lad. I say we do some more of tis type of information seeking at what you call the internet. Perhaps you can show me this new product of which ye speak?"

[Fat Cat]

Fat Cat grinned at him.

"Well the other humans aren't bad here I suppose. My old master I liked but he was a criminal and he got caught and thrown in jail. I never saw him again. I do miss him." said Fat Cat.

He paused and sighed thinking back to his former master. He did miss him and hoped he was ok rotting away in prison. He listened to Harry and nodded.

"Yep. It's a way for us to make some money and to avoid suspicion. After all a place like this talking animals and creatures like werewolves and things would be normal here. People would think we'd be using makeup, costumes, or special effects so easier to blend in here." said Fat Cat.

He nodded as Harry said he was a patient man and would just require someone to teach him.

"Well I'll do my best. Of course if you want to go faster perhaps there's some fancy spell Facilier or one of the others could whip up to make you adapt to this time quicker. I don't know much about magic but you could always ask them." said Fat Cat.

He paused as Harry said learning together sounded easy to do.

"Sure. We just need to find a computer or laptop. I'm just not sure who would have one. Perhaps Yuki might. He seems to one of the smartest people in this army." said Fat Cat.

Harry's smile faltered at Fat Cat's response to him about humans. His previous owner was a criminal and arrested for his crimes. "Ah, I'm deeply sorry mate. Sorry about ya owner. Tis a shame really" He then pondered about the cat's backstory more. Maybe as they got closer the cat would tell him. For now though they were focused on just greeting each other and focusing on the discussion they were having now, such as teaching harry modern times and about the circus.

"Ah. I see. Well tis a good way to avoid suspicion. The creatures here are, from what Facilier told me, normal for a circus but not for outside. Smart plannin'" Harry responded happily, cheerful about the very idea of being in a circus. Now that he knew what it was, he really enjoyed the idea. Quite a lot actually. Festivals were his favorite thing growing up.

"Nay, I am perfectly fine with naturally learning. Going too fast may not be so helpful to me" Harry politely responded. He wanted to learn and the best way to do it was not to adapt quickly but naturally. Besides, it should be amusing to learn all this new stuff. Magic for example or the idea of microwaves.

He then nodded cheerfully, whether it was the idea of a computer or the fact it was possible Yuki could be involved the man had no idea, but he wanted to see a laptop. "Let us find this new object called the laptop! The laptop sounds like something ye exercise with, is that right?"

[Fat Cat]

Fat Cat smiled.

"It's alright. I've gotten over it. I do miss him at times but we weren't really that close either. He was always busy. Still I was used to living the rich life style. That's the main reason I formed my own gang and started stealing things. Food, jewelry, whatever I could get. I just stole this little beauty this morning. I left a good looking fake behind so no one will notice for awhile and when they do they won't know when it went missing." said Fat Cat

He paused looking at Harry.

"You're not going to rat on me are you pal? I like you but I don't want to lose this new ring." said Fat Cat.

He paused as he nodded agreeing the circus was a good cover for the war.

"Yep. This is better than I would have planned. That Facilier certainly is smart." said Fat Cat.

He nodded as Harry said he was ok with natural learning.

"Alright. Then perhaps we should do some research on this stuff. What I don't know we can learn about together." said Fat Cat, grinning.

He smirked seeing him happy and chuckled seeing him Harry smile at the mention of the laptop and Yuki. He chuckled at his words.

"No. The laptop's just a portable computer. One you can carry around anywhere. It's more convenient. It's one of the things I didn't know about but I've found out about it quick enough. I'm a fast learner. Well on things I'm interested in anyway." said Fat cat.

He paused glancing at Harry again and smirked.

"You know if you prefer for me to get lost so you two can make out just let me know. It's like they said three's a crowd." said Fat Cat.

"Ah I see. Still, my consoles and support is in thy hand. I know what it is like to be forced out of things that are beyond our control" Harry said softly before he looked at the ring Fat Cat had. It wasn't his business but his morals told him stealing was wrong. But Harry had no-one else other than his army and besides, he and fat cat were in the end still friends, what kind of friend would he be if he backstabbed this cat? "Nay friend. You will not be told on. Is that what rat out means? Forgive me, I know not a lot of your language"

"Facilier is not only smart, he is good. He saved my life" Harry said confidently. He felt he had a strong debt to owe for Facilier whereas Hal felt the need to be himself besides his "debt". Harry turned to Fat Cat again as the feline said that they could research this stuff by this point and if they didn't know anything they would learn together "Aye! Rugged faith, I will enjoy it with thee. Thou is honest with me"

"Alas friend I know not what a computer is either. Forgive me. The laptop is a better object of the computer but what is a computer? That said, I know that at least the laptop is something you travel with! Tis good progress!" Harry said confidently as Fat Cat slowly explained the concept of "the laptop" to him. Unlike hal who was a quick learner, harry had a bit more need to have things explained to him. Not that harry was dumb it was just that he needed a bit more help.

Harry instantly blushed however when Fat Cat said that he was more than happy to allow Harry to have time with Yuki. THAT he understood quite well. Making out was a old expression, one that involved romance and Harry was actually interested in that with Yuki but his feelings for the moment were conflicted. "Mate! Nay! He is far too intelligent for someone like me. Besides, he and I are two men, he may not feel that way.... I don't know mate. Maybe I should ask him or something. I don't know about this mate. Is this confusion important? God" He pushed his hands in his face. Being with a man was something not allowed back in his time but now that he was allowed to apparently, he wanted to try but he was nervous.

[Fat Cat]

Fat Cat grinned.

"Well like I said I'll help you. It'll take some time adjusting to the modern century. Perhaps if you like you could go to our local library and pick out some books on history and geography and stuff like that. I can't go being a cat. But I'm sure one of the others could help you. It's easier to help you adapt to our world if you have the books. Plus this way you can read by yourself and study at your own pace. Of course, I can always help you if you like." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat smiled.

"Yes. Rat out means tell the cops that I took it. Or at least where to find it. But thank you, my friend, for keeping quiet. I'm glad I can trust you. Some of the others might try to steal this ring from me though. The downside of being in a villain army I suppose. I might have to hide it if I want to keep it." said Fat Cat.

He nodded as Harry spoke.

"Yes. He brought you back to life. And he helped a lot of us when he formed this army. We all owe him, Rita, and Malachite a lot." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat nodded in agreement.

"Sounds good. I think getting those books would be a good start. We can't hog someone else's computer all the time after all. What we don't find in books we can use computers to help us." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat grinned sheepishly.

"A computer is a machine. You can use it to play games or log onto the internet. The internet is like a library only instead of books it's all stored electronically so we can get the information from any computer in the world. It's simple enough once you learn how to use one." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat grinned as Hal blushed when he mentioned Yuki.

"Don't put yourself done like that. You're smart too. I see the way he looks at you. And the way you look at him. It's definitely mutual. You just need to ask him out. Before someone else does. He's not going to wait around forever for you after all." said Fat Cat.

[Harry Percy/Hotspur]

"All your ideas to help me are extremely appreciated, Fat Cat. Ye have a great way to assist me in learnin' the culture easier. Tis a good ting to learn from this "library" with these books. When I was a lad, me papa used to read me these tales of fighting and I learned to use a sword from it, so I guess these books at the library can help" Harry replied with a huge interest in the subject as seen with his excited eye and big grin. He then nodded as Fat Cat taught him what "ratting out" was and smiled as Fat Cat thanked him for being willing to be quiet "Not a problem. It isn't like the rich need it anyway. Keep it for yeself, I have no need for it either"

"He is not just a man, but a legend. People will one day ask him for his healin' to bring back their lost ones and they'll pay him a good deal and he does it. It is a good trade, his magic" Harry agreed with Fat Cat about Facilier bringing him back to life. He then smiled as Rita, Malachite and Facilier were the ones to help people when they joined the army "That is what a normal army leader does but it is still commendable"

"Ah. I see. So tis is a device that does anythin' you want? Why did they not make this device where I come from!? We could of used it!" Harry said, some sort of envy and frustration flowing through him but it quickly disappeared. He then pondered "Do we use tis computer to spy on da critic or da ask thatguy man?"

"He... He does tend to speak kindly to me more than the others. He is a lovely man, tere is no denyin', that was why I didn't really persue him yet" Harry admitted, blushing at the mere conversation they were having. He then nodded as Fat Cat said he needed to tell him because Yuki felt the same way and that he should do it before it was too late. Harry then rose to his feet and replied heartily "Then I must go! I must go and speak to him! He shall come to thine!" He walked but then ran back to the cat and grabbed him in shere fear "What can I do? How can I tell him, mate?! I haven't courted anybody in years! Ya got ta help me!"

[Fat Cat]

Fat Cat grinned at him.

"Yes. Soon we will learn all we need to know in books or the computer. I suppose I could use a refresher course as well. And there may be others here who may want to brush on their history. Perhaps we should see if others here want to know about this time. Maybe we could have a history class or something here to get people up to date to this century." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat smiled in relief.

"Thank you my friend. I'm a thief by trade. Many of us are thieves here. I hope even if you don't approve you keep quiet. Facilier and the others don't really care what we do as long as we don't oppose them." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat grinned at his praise of Facilier. It sounded like Facilier had himself a fan.

"I'm not sure of that. You see we plan to take over this world once this war is over. Many may not appreciate that. While there may be some people who would ask for Facilier's help I doubt it will be many. At least not right away." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat nodded as Hal agreed helping others was what army leaders did.

"Very true." said Fat Cat.,

Fat Cat nodded.

"Well it is a more modern invention. Computers were only created around the last hundred years or so. And before that people created television and phone lines. Without those we wouldn't have the internet we have now." said Fat Cat.

He grinned.

"We have in the past. Some of our scientists used tiny objects we call bugs to listen in on their conversations. The first attempt we've learned a lot. But they routinely make sweeps and get rid of the bugs a lot now. To get information now we usually raid their camps now and capture people if we can." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat grinned as the subject shifted to Yuki.

"Yes. I'm certain he cares about you. I'm surprised he hasn't made the first move yet. He must not know you like him back or he probably would already." said Fat Cat.

He grinned as Hal said he must go. He rushed out and then grabbed him as Fat Cat winced.

"Well first you could put me down. I'm afraid of heights. And second just tell him how you feel. Be honest with him. He's not going to turn you away. But I'm not sure about the courting. I haven't dated anyone in quite a long time myself. Perhaps you should ask one of the others." said Fat Cat.

[Harry Percy/Hotspur]

"Yes, maybe we will learn everythin' we need ta know in the library or best learn by being in classes. If you need help with this place then so do I for sure. I feel anything would be useful to me" Harry replied honestly when it came to being taught the modern age. He then listened as he learned many of the people were theives but Harry wasn't a person of the law so he didn't have a reason to stop them. He shrugged "Aye. I'll keep it quiet. I don't see why I shouldn't"

"I'm sure they'll understand he's only doing it for their sake. He wishes to take things over for the the good of the people. That is what he told me and I can relate to this, I wanted to be king for the sake of my people's lack of fortune" Harry percy responded softly, naive to facilier's true intentions or of fat cat's negativity. He nodded as Fat Cat explained the difficulty it took to make said internet and computer "How very odd! But useful!" He then nodded at fat cat's explanation that they used to but couldn't anymore because of the heroes going too wise. "Ah. I see. Just thought about it for some reason"

"Maybe he doesn't know about how I feel yet. Which is more reason to tell him, I suppose" Harry responded but then realized he was harming his friend by grabbing him like this and so put him down. "Forgive me friend. My worry overpowered myself" He then nodded as Fat Cat told him to be honest and allow Yuki to know how he felt. Then if he had problems with dating to go ask others. "Then I will take your advice and go find him. I think it is best. Where do you think he might be?"

Fat Cat grinned.

"That's right. We'll find out what we need in books or the computer. It will just take time is all." said Fat Cat.

He smiled glad Harry agreed to keep it quiet.

"Thanks my friend. You know you're a really cool human. And one I'm glad to call my friend." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat smirked at Harry's words.

"I doubt that. Facilier has magic and he's trying to take over. They may accuse him of being a witch or working with the devil or something. They might even try to uprise and attack us. Facilier even if he means well is not likely to get the general public on his side. We will probably have rebellions similar to Critic and Ask That Guy's Army start up as well." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat nodded agreeing with Harry's statement that the internet was useful. It was still new to him as well. As the Internet wasn't around in his time. Or at least it hadn't been invented yet. He frowned as he thought about the bugs.

"Yeah unfortunately the bugs didn't work out. And one of the Critic's members has a magic mirror she can use to spy on us whenever she wants. I think Facilier can do something similar with shadows but even shadows can't hide forever." said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat smiled as Harry put him down.

"Thank you. Well it won't know until you ask him. That guy's got it bad for you I can tell. But like I said before you if you wait too long then he'll find someone else. And you don't want that do you?" said Fat Cat.

Fat Cat paused as Harry asked him where he was.

"Probably in the lab. That's where he usually is. If he's not there I'm sure you'll find him eventually. You know perhaps he can help you with learning some of this stuff too. He's pretty smart and it'd help you guys get closer as well." said Fat Cat.

"Time is indeed the key, I concur. Patience is required when you learn, that is what my mother used to say" Harry said, a waned smile on his features. He then smiled at Fat cat calling him a cool human and that he was glad to consider harry a friend. "I thank you for being my friend. I am glad I have you to help me learn more about this fantastic world we live in now" He replied kindly

He then frowned deeply as Fat Cat doubted Facilier's ability to gain public respect and love, that they might rebel like Critic and Ask Thatguy were. He shrugged softly and replied, trying his best to not argue or disagree "I suppose. But that is what happens when one tries to take over for the good of the people, they will assume him as just a tyrant but if someone else besides facilier would take over they would assume him as a devil too" He shrugged softly once more. "Still, I will serve facilier anyway, he saved my life that is more kindness than manipulation in my opinion" He didn't want to argue but his friend seemed less positive than he was. He then responded "It won't matter once we take them over, we'll be powerful enough to stop those annoying rebels, trust me I was once a rebel and I always lost" He sighed softly after that

"I see. Well, we will find a way, people who are smart think of better and more creative ideas. It will be fine, you'll see" Harry patiently replied. He then stopped talking as Fat Cat gave him some well-needed encouragement and said that he shouldn't wait so long or he would find someone else. Something of which, as fat cat pointed out, that he didn't really want that. "Nay, by my life, I wish to court him before any other lily-livered fool takes him" He then responded "My friend, if you forgive me, thanks to your well-thought out advice, I must go to see him" He then listened to Fat Cat telling him where Yuki was. Smiling at all the opportunities his feelings let out for him, Harry nodded in pure thanks to Fat Cat and responded "Alright, now I must go. I thank you again. I will be back to chat with you once more when I have the time" He then turned to go find Yuki.
