Heart's Content (Harvey)

[IHeart]

(OCC: March 6th, evening. Harvey and IHeart thread. I wanted this thread so bad. Couldn't help myself. I felt Harvey would be good for this anyway)

IHeart tossed and turned in her bed, and started moaning softly in fear, she was suffering a terrible nightmare. It was unbearable to watch and listen as she slept to witness it.

The young girl was running in the woods with a gun by her side, Ma-Ti nearby blasting with his ring. When the two saw each other, Ma-Ti joyfully ran to his lost love and IHeart ran back but saw Malachite go near Ma-Ti. Fear consumed her immediately.

"Ma-ti! Watch out!" She cried, Ma-Ti turned only to be blast to nothing. IHeart shrieked with horror. She then was surrounded by darkness and many of her friends were looking at her in complete disgust or anger. IHeart turned to see Linkara and was about to say to him hello but Linkara growled at her.

"How dare you let him die? You could've let him live! Why can't you do anything right?" Linkara shouted

IHeart teared up and backed away then she heard sniffing of sadness, and it turned out to be Chick who was crying. "Why? Why did you get yourself kidnapped!? You could've saved yourself the trouble of Ma-ti dying!" She started to cry again

Spoony sneered "It's her own fault. She just HAD to be the hero for everybody. She HAD to help!"

"She's a fool. A brave fool but a fool nonetheless" Linksano said as he entered the shadows, crossing his arms. Dr. Tease and Roses crossing their arms too.

"We depended on you. Ma-Ti depended on you and all you could do was get captured" Angry Joe snapped

"Stop it. I'm sorry. I didn't ask to be like this or tortured. Wait, you're not real.. you're..." IHeart began but suddenly they all disappeared and instead Chester came and he was lying on the floor. Chester was crying and IHeart tried to get to him but Chester shouted "You get away from me! I don't need your help! I'm in pain thanks to your stupid mouth!" IHeart backed away and started crying, she huddled in a dark corner mumbling and replying that she was sorry and that she never meant to hurt anyone

When awoken, IHeart turned to see Chester still sleeping, IHeart quickly got out of bed and limped upstairs so she wouldn't disturb the bum's pleasant or rather calm slumber. She went to the living room all covered in bandages and started rubbing her hands. IHeart breathed and said ashamedly "It's my fault. All of it. Chester's wounds and Ma-Ti's death. Oh ma-ti, I'm a terrible girlfriend, I'm a terrible person, Oh god my heart. I love you and you're gone. I'm sorry" She covered her face and started crying. She looked and saw second hand smoke from the kitchen and suddenly, as if a mirage, Harvey was there.

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey walked out to get some coffee. He paused hearing a voice and sobbing coming from the living room. as he got closer he saw Iheart and he heard her words. He walked up to her and hugged her.

"It's not your fault Iheart. Ma-Ti blamed himself for your capture. He spent days in his room after you were taken. He barely came out of it. Spoony and Critic were able to talk him out of that. But after that he was determined to rescue you. And he did. He gave his life for us twice now. It's no one's fault but Malachite." said Harvey.

He glared at the man. Twice now he'd been responsible for Ma-Ti's death. He would make that man pay. If not him surely someone else would. Probably Critic or Spoony for sure.

"I can't imagine how you must be feeling. When Lottie was a prisoner I could barely function. It's not the same but I'm sorry you're going through this. I want to help you anyway I can." said Harvey.

[IHeart]

Harvey's hug was extremely appreciated, as seen as the girl quickly hugged back, holding on as if Harvey was her sense of sanity. She had been through a lot and the comfort given that her trusted friend was here was a sure way to ensure progress in her life. The war affected her but Harvey seemed to understand that it wasn't the war that was hurting her though, it was the death of Ma-Ti, something that no-one wanted but no-one suffered more than she or Critic or Spoony. Harvey then assured her the things that everyone was trying to tell her, that it wasn't her fault. But the problem was the suffering at the prison caused her to have a huge doubt over that. She looked up at the mere thought of ma-ti in his room depressed and not wanting to come out, only to be convinced by Critic and then eventually rebel and try to save her. He did but it cost him his life. Again. The thought of Suburban Knights was bad but this was ten times worse. She then saw through the darkness that Harvey was glaring at something and she assumed it was the mere thought of Ma-Ti's murderer, Malachite. She felt angry at him too. Hateful even.

Eventually though he spoke that he wished to help her in anyway he could. That he didn't imagine what she felt but he had a experience similar to hers with Lottie. She eventually spoke, rubbing her arms despite the bandaging "I can't sleep Harvey. I can't stop thinking about him. I'm trying but it hurts. I know it's not what Ma-Ti would want for me but he... He and I were.. Together. He meant so much to me, I would do anything for him. Nothing's been the same since I got captured. I'm having nightmares. Everybody I know in my nightmares start hating me, accusing me of things that are my fault and me thinking they're right" She wiped the tears streaming down her face before turning to Harvey again "I thought I was going to die. But no, Ma-Ti was the one to die, not me. Maybe..." She stopped rubbing her face from extra tears and turned to Harvey "I just thought I would never see your brilliant face again Harvey, or see Ma-Ti again, or Linkara or hell anyone" She sighed "What happened to me?"

Harvey held her close listening to her. He felt like his heart was breaking. She was his friend and she was still hurting.

"I know how you feel. If Lottie was gone I'd be feeling just like you. Maybe worse. You take the time you need to grieve but don't wallow in it. It's ok to smile, to laugh. To have fun. You remember the last time? You let yourself be happy again. You need to do that again." said Harvey.

He paused listening to her saying she had nightmares and he shook his head.

"Wrong. No one hear hates you. You're our friend. You're like the heart of this army Iheart. You've touched all of us here even ones you barely know. Everyone wants to help you somehow. Even Diamanda was telling me to help you. Only you could have a dictactor for a friend." said Harvey.

He grinned hoping he could try to cheer her up. Even for just a little while. He paused at her.

"I know. I was worried about you too. I'm one of the few who got hurt in that battle. Thankfully it wasn't too bad. It seems you, Chester, Grimhilde, and Ace were hurt the worst by those freaks." said Harvey.

He paused as she asked what happened to her.

"You're grieving and your in shock. You were prisoner for awhile Iheart. That would be traumatic to anyone. Perhaps you should talk with someone. Mrs. Potts or Splinter would be good. They're also neutral. So you don't have to worry about upsetting anyone. I'd listen to you too if you wanted. I know anyone would. But those two just seem to be able to help you. Splinter's one of the people that kept me going when you, Lottie, and the others were gone. I didn't talk to him as much as I'd liked but he was a big help." said Harvey.

Harvey telling her she needed to try and be happy for herself like last time was a easy thing to hear. Sure she could still miss ma-ti but she couldn't let it affect her forever. She needed to be free. He was right, IHeart did need to be happy again. Not just for personal reasons but for health reasons, she could hurt herself this way. She sighed sadly, allowing the older man to hug her tightly, she could tell that her pain made him feel bad but she embraced him anyway. His precence made this easier. She looked up when he told her the nightmares were wrong and that she was a very important person to them all. Dia even. Diamanda she hadn't seen in a while but IHeart smiled at the mention of her. She really did enjoy the dictator. They did get along well, despite the fans saying it was unlikely. She responded softly "You're right. I shouldn't listen to those things" She frowned again, knowing the nightmares would come back anyway but didn't bother with mentioning that. Harvey's advice was correct regardless.

She nodded sadly as he mentioned her, chester, ace and grimhilde suffering the most. "It was terrible. Ace was especially brave about it but Chester suffered so much wounds because of me. I stood up and chester spoke on my behalf and..." She began to cry and hugged harvey "They beat him up because I stood up. They.. they only took him because it would affect me" She sobbed some more, feeling harvey hug her back and eventually she calmed down to hear what he said about what happened. Telling her she was only in shock and in grief, she just came back from prison, her boyfriend was dead and she handled a lot of stress. Harvey's suggestion to talk about it made her think. Sure she was talking to harvey but maybe she needed to see someone who normally did this type of thing, and again even though harvey was pretty damn good with talks Mrs. Potts and splinter were professionals at it. She nodded sadly "Yeah. I guess I do really need to talk to mrs. potts or splinter about it. I like talking to you a lot harvey but you're right, they seem more used and equiped to this sort of problem" She then sighed again and responded as Harvey admitted to splinter helping him, she grinned "Now I think I really need to talk to them" She sounded like she was joking but she wasn't. She smiled "You're really good to me Uncle harvey. Thanks"

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey smiled at her.

"Those nightmares are just a result of your guilty feelings. You can not blame yourself for what happened to Ma-Ti, Chester, or anyone else who got hurt. We're a team. We're friends. We fight for each other. We protect each other. Some of us are going to hurt. You want someone to blame? You blame the villain armies. But never yourself." said Harvey.

Harvey paused as she hugged him again saying Chester suffered so much.

"He was protecting you. Just as I would. Or you would do for us. They're trying to hurt you. Don't let them have that satisfaction. Don't let those freaks keep hurting you." said Harvey.

He smiled as she said she would talk to Mrs. Potts or Splinter about this.

"I'm glad. I know they can help you. Just give them a chance." said Harvey.

He paused as she said he was good to her.

"Well you're my friend and you're like family to me. I hate to see you upset and hurt like this. I wish I could make it all better for you. I wish Ma-Ti could just walk through that door and we could go back to the way things used to be." said Harvey.

He hugged her tightly and sighed. He smiled with a grin.

"Do you want to try to do something fun? Like watch a film or play some games? It might help." said Harvey.

Guilty feelings? Oh she had plenty of those so the chances of the nightmares coming from those was a definite possibility. She nodded as he assured her that they were a team and friends. Friends that fought together and worked together to do the right thing. She nodded and listened. He was right. It was the other armies fault, not hers. She couldn't take the blame for something she never intended to cause. "You're right harvey. I can't blame myself. I still have some doubt but you're right regardless of what I think about myself. Logically it's not my fault but I still have the nagging feeling" She shrugged, trying not to sound pathetic or pitiful. She didn't want Harvey to get annoyed with her even though they've done this before as friends normally do.

When Harvey said Chester did only protecting IHeart and that harvey would've done the same thing or IHeart herself would've done for someone else. She knew for a fact that was true. She'd risk her own life for the sake of her friends. And she knew Harvey would've flipped if he was in the position Chester was under, Harvey was a firey soul. She knew that. Linkara knew that. Everybody who knew harvey knew that, maybe even lottie. She then nodded at the suggestion of giving splinter or mrs. potts a chance "I will harvey. I needed to talk to someone for a while anyway"

She shrugged again and smiled as Harvey responded happily that she was like family to him and he hated her being upset. She frowned slightly at the wish for ma-ti to come to the door and return to life as it was normal but IHeart knew that couldn't happen and just let harvey comment on it. She hugged him back tightly and beamed at the idea of watching a film or play a game. "I say we do both. A movie first than a game. It can probably be helpful harvey. Besides, it's high time we did something fun to begin with" She said slightly more cheerful than before.

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey grinned at her. She was starting to sound like her old self now. When she said she would speak to Splinter or Mrs. Potts he smiled.

"Good. I know they'll be able to help you." said Harvey.

Harvey grinned glad she decided on a movie and a game later.

"I think we should look for a comedy. We both need a good laugh. Any ideas?" asked Harvey.

IHeart nodded, positive that Harvey was right in the fact that Splinter and Mrs. Potts would definitely have the ability and willingness to help her. She then grinned at the idea of a comedy. That sounded like a great idea, she pondered of what to watch and she responded "Monty python and the holy grail comes to mind but if you wanna watch something different that's fine" She then pondered and started giggling "Hey we should make some popcorn to go with it. That way it'll be more of the theater experience"

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey grinned at the choice.

"That sounds like fun. I've seen it a couple times with Linkara and the others. It's a good film. Let's watch it." said Harvey.

He grins as she suggests popcorn.

"Sure. Let's get this party started." said Harvey.

He grinned heading off to the kitchen with Iheart. They popped some popcorn as he got a couple bowls as well as some drinks and soon they were back in the living room. The dvd was popped in as Harvey grabbed the remote and hit play.

"Let the fun begin." said Harvey.

He grabbed some popcorn and began munching it.

"Yay! Thanks harvey. It's about time we watched it together!" IHeart said, feeling better already. One of her favorite comedies was going to be watched. Maybe things were changing for the better after all. She went to the kitchen happily and got her own bowl of popcorn as Harvey helped her get a drink and pop in the DVD of the movie described. She sat next to Harvey and nodded excitedly, the first time she did that in a while, and the movie started.

"The opening titles just get weirder and weirder as you go along" IHeart quietly commented, trying not to disturb her friend entirely but felt her reviewer side kick in as she began riffing the movie. She munched on her popcorn as the titles mentioned a fake translation of mooses and how important they were. She chuckled as the titles interupted themselves to make a apoligy for the fake translation and that the person responsible was sacked or fired. She laughed as it suddenly went from somber and dark, to a flashy colorful setting with mexican music playing.

Harvey grinned glad he was cheering her up some.

"Sure. Sounds like fun." said Harvey.

Once they got all the party supplies they headed back and began watching it. She glanced at Iheart hearing her words and chuckled.

"You know you're only supposed to review bad movies." said Harvey, teasing her.

He chuckled as credits began as he watched the fake translation and an announcer interrupt saying the person who made that was fired.

"Ok that was amusing. But bad editing. If someone screwed up your movie wouldn't you edit that part out." said Harvey.

He paused realizing he was reviewing it too.

"Great. Now I'm reviewing it. And I don't normally review anything." said Harvey.

[IHeart]

"Sorry. You're right" IHeart giggled as she finally kept quiet but Harvey then reviewed the editing part where the announcer fired the translator. "Hey it's ok. You hung out with too many of us reviewers. I was hoping you'd pick it up" She then laughed as the movie finally began to King Arthur trying to get directions to get to Camalot. Which was all the villagers stupidly avoiding the questions and leading King Arthur to go to a dirty villiage where a villager was grabbing all the "Dead" people. Which lead to a villager and a person carrying a still-alive person to bargin for when to take the dead person away to the dump. She started laughing more "I love it that they ignore the person who keeps saying I'm not dead. It just leaves a void"

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey chuckled.

"Well I did review that one comic for the kid. I guess once a reviewer always a reviewer." said Harvey.

He grinned and chuckled as well.

"You'd think a king would know how to get to his own kingdom." said Harvey, chuckling.

He watched amused as well.

"I suppose this would be the time for that princess bride joke where he's mostly dead." said Harvey.

He nods.

"Yeah. The poor guy though. Well at least they didn't set the bodies on fire or bury them alive. " said Harvey.

[IHeart]

"Oh yeah! I saw that! I actually read Anita blake and you're right, she has no nose! Her nose looks like a tiny cherry" IHeart said, laughing again, but then she remembered many of the inhabitants were still asleep so she covered her mouth to keep her voice down. She then responded "I think you did way better than 90's kid by the way. Why pollo didn't hire you again I'll never know but I liked Iron Liz so whatever" She shrugged cheerfully. She was really starting to enjoy herself now.

"Yeah, you would. A king always has to know everything about his country, especially the way to go to the freakin' castle he's supposed to live in" IHeart mumbled, teasingly annoyed with the fact King Arthur lacked knowledge about the way to go. She then nodded in agreement as harvey suggested the princess bride joke and the fact that at least the bodies weren't buried alive or set on fire. She then laughed as the next scene had King Arthur and his "horse" meet a bunch of villagers who argued with him about his right as King.

The lady within the lake

"Nimue! So that's where Linkara named nimue after! Jeez, I'm so dumb I didn't think of that before. Linkara told me tons of times he loved arthurian lore. Nimue was the lady within the lake, some type of sorceress, that helped out arthur realize his destiny and all that other crap" IHeart said excitedly as the dialouge with arthur and the peasants went on. Then it eventually went to King Arthur meeting the black knight and IHeart giggled "Oh I love this scene!"
