All Alone And Feeling Desperate

Rolly couldn't help but smile as he found Darla first. He really wanted a chance to talk to her without a crowd present. " Yup, just you and me on a search to find 3 pups. So, it's been a while since you and me caught up. Maybe while we look we can talk" Rolly said looking away from Darla to hide a blush.

Cadpig stayed in the back of the closet. She would not move from there not for a second.

While Pepper was waiting patiently, or rather stubbornly, in her hiding spot, Darla was with Rolly and blushing a bit. If the others were really near them, the two would be made fun of for sure. Nevertheless Darla nodded at Rolly's obvious invitation and responded "Sure rolly. What do you wanna talk about? While we find the others of course" She went off but waited for Rolly to catch up, constantly glancing over his form. Her heart kept pounding as she stared at him, and he couldn't help but acknowledge that this was probably what true love felt like. Like a nerve-wrecking pleasure that you didn't or couldn't ignore.

Freckles nodded to Pepper had gone downstairs to hide. Freckles had chosen the kitchen cupboards. Freckles listened as she could hear Rolly walk around and growl and sniff. He didn't come into the kitchen but she could still hear him. Then she heard another voice and grinned realizing Darla had been found as they talked. She grinned glad they got to talk more. She thought Darla and Rolly liked each other a bit more than friends.. But she wasn't sure. And she wasn't going to ask and embarass herself or them. Perhaps after this game she could take Pepper and Cadpig with her so they could talk. And this way she could spend more time with her sister Cadpig who she'd missed. She grinned liking the idea but it might be hard to pull off. Perhaps Cadpig or Pepper would have a good idea how to do it. So she just waited to be found.

"You know talk about us... *Ahem* I mean talk about how we've been doing you know. I mean it's been a while since we talked. How have you been"? Rolly asked. He couldn't bring himself to say how he truly felt about Darla. He hadn't noticed that she had feelings for him as well. I mean why would she? His self confidence being more than a little shot was a huge understatement.

Cadpig stayed huddled in the back of the closet. She could hear a little bit of Rolly and Darla conversating as well. She had to smile they were talking and this was a extremely good thing. She would maybe need to give Rolly some more time with Darla somehow.

Pepper wasn't near Rolly or Darla but they were talking enough for the other three to hear their conversation a bit. Like Cadpig and Freckles, she had suspicions that Darla and Rolly were becoming a item. Instantly a idea for Pepper to take both Cadpig and Freckles outside for a little exploration while Rolly and Darla guarded them in the backyard together came into the michievious pup's mind. Pepper needed to let the others know of the idea quickly first, but before all of that could occur the two pups involved needed to find them. Pepper snickered, hoping she wasn't found first.

"I've been well... I mean it's been weird handling the, well, army and war and all that. At least I have cadpig, pepper, freckles and you. That's what matters to me. I mean, if you weren't around things would just not be the same. I feel that, well, um, I need to let you know something. Something I've been hiding for a while" Darla spoke. Her feelings for him were starting to seep through the cracks, and she was glad the others were hiding otherwise she'd be blushing ever more. She noticed that Rolly mentioned to talk about them before changing the subject and wondered if maybe he was hiding feelings for her a lot more than she was.

Rolly nearly fainted as she said she had been hiding something from him for a while. Rolly had to wonder maybe it was true maybe she felt the same way that he did. "Well, I have been hiding something from you too...something I haven't really told anyone. " Rolly said not even noticing he was walking into the kitchen and getting closer to Freckles hiding spot.

[Darla]

Darla didn't get a good look to where the other pups hid, so she too did not notice she was near Freckle's hiding spot. Therefore it was easier to acknowledge Rolly entirely. Darla got a bit closer to Rolly and her tail wagged like crazy, even more so when Rolly admitted he hid something from her, a thing that he never told anyone. Excitable about the secret, she responded quickly "I'll say mine first then you'll say yours" She then felt her heart pound in her ears as she gave a lick across rolly's cheek and responded "I think I'm in love with you Rolly"

Rolly nearly faints as he heard this. Could his dream finally be true? Could Darla seriously love him, or was this simply out of pity? Darla was such a nice girl that it wouldn't be not like her to make Rolly feel better. But, this had to be true. "Now, it's time for my secret. I am desperately, insanely, greatly in love with you. I have never met a girl who made me feel as special as you do. Darla, every single day I look into your eyes, I feel like I'm the most special dog in the world, I love you Darla, I always have and I always will" Rolly said gazing into Darla's eyes.

Darla was right. Rolly had hidden something special, and something from her after all this time. Rolly's confession made Darla have her face break into a huge grin and her tail wagged so fast, one could assume it might break off. Darla was humbled by this response, not to mention the one she was in love with said so much more than she could ever hope to say. She was distracted with Rolly so much she forgot about the other three they were supposed to find. Darla licked rolly's face once more and responded "Rolly. You... you have no idea how much you made my day. I feel so amazing. You mean so much to me, I never had the courage to say anything to you"

"Neither did I it took some convincing from a big eared little Dalmatian to help me say what I wanted to say to you. I never thought you'd go for a pudgy loser like me. " Rolly said walking close to Darla and licks her across the cheek Back.

[Darla]

Darla's heart nearly soared as Rolly licked her cheek, her tail wagging. She was too distracted to recognize that Pepper, Freckles and Cadpig still needed to be found at the moment. She then remembered who Rolly was refering to and Darla let out a nervous laugh "Well I'm glad she helped you out Rolly" She then widened her eyes at Rolly's assumption that Darla wouldn't be interested in him. There were so many ways that Darla would be willing to be with Rolly and she was going to let him know. She said slightly shocked "Rolly! Anyone without a heart would be daft enough to not go for you. You're sweet, compassionate, sensitive, giving and selfless. I think you cut yourself far too short"

Pepper admittedly was getting bored waiting for her siblings to find her. The very thought of waiting here all day sounded torturous but Pepper was too stubborn to not leave. She wanted to win, and she would wait forever just to win, hopefully Freckles would be found just so Pepper could rub it in her face playfully. Pepper scratched her ears as she waited and hoped Rolly and Darla would have a hard time finding her.

As Rolly got closer to Freckles hiding spot he couldn't hide a large blush. No girl had ever thought he was all these things. " Darla, you make me feel so special. You are an Angel walking among the earth. I love you Darla , just I didn't think I had a chance. I'm not cool or daring like Lucky, or cool and tough like Mooch. I was just Rolly... You make me feel like I'm someone else. Someone unique and special. Rolly said nuzzling her cheek.

Cadpig stayed hidden in the back of the closet.

Freckles grinned glad the two had finally admitted their feelings. She couldn't hear all of it but she heard enough. She definitely was going to take Pepper and Cadpig away for a bit so Darla and Rolly could hang out. She just hoped Pepper and Cadpig went along with it. If not she'd make sure Darla and Rolly had some together soon. She giggled softly wondering if they would find her. Or if they'd find Pepper or Cadpig first.

Darla's thoughts erased for the moment about the cupboards as Rolly nuzzled her cheek, it made her feel like she was floating, being special was something Darla never thought of feeling but Rolly made her feel that way with the things he said about her. The others would probably be hearing them but she could care less now that her feeling were open to Rolly alone. "You are special Rolly, to me. And I feel the same with you, I love you more than anything. Mooch and Lucky are fantastic but nothing compared to you" She nuzzled him more, licking his cheek a bit for good measure. Then she shook her head and responded with a shy tone "Let's look in the cupboard to see if one of the others is in there" She didn't want to change the subject but she didn't want to forget the others either

Pepper laid down as she waited downstairs. She couldn't wait to rub it in her sibling's faces how great her spot was. Boring as the waiting was, it was worth just one, just ONE chance of being the last to find. It wouldn't mean anything, except that she was the best hider. That's a victory in itself to Pepper. She waited, and waited, eventually tempted to just take a quick snooze.
