Silvertongued (La)

[Queen La]

La grinned as she smirked.

"Then again why should we wait until we take over? Between you and me, Hades, Dark Nella and our other sorcerers we could make trips around the world with our powers and bring back a good variety of food and drinks. We're already searching for potion ingredients." said La.

La waited for the food annoyed though. She was used to getting food right away. As meals were prepared in advance before she was hungry. Even at Ask That Guy's home they cooked meals earlier so she didn't have to adjust. But here in a public restaurant, she knew they had to cook orders when they made them. She sighed before turning to Loki hearing his question.

"Well, I'm not sure if I'm immortal now. But I think if my staff broke I might die again. Unless you know of a way of turning me into a god like yourself." said La.

[Loki]

"That is extremely true" Loki spoke with a tad of annoyance with himself "I knew I should of taken you to Africa or some place similiar. Curse it all, I did not remember that. I guess I was so confused with teaching Ask Thatguy's son some magic" Loki confessed. It was true. Ever since their first visit, Loki felt closer to Pinnochio as his nephew and protege. It was odd. Being concerned for someone else once more but then again he was dating a jungle woman, or jungle sorceress rather. So it wasn't entirely a new concept, just one that Loki wasn't used to. The waiter came back with their food and Loki relunctantly gave a nod of thanks, not wanting to be rude. He then felt a strange pain in his chest when La responded she wasn't sure of still being immortal. Although he wasn't really sure about life-spells, he would try for her sake. "I believe there is a spell that causes mortals to live forever and since you have magic you can live even more than forever. You would live exactly as I do.... It is a risk though, I am willing to find it if you are willing to risk it dearest" He anxiously held her hand as he said this. He didn't want to scare her, just to prepare her for possible failure

[Queen La]

La smiled as he nodded although heard the annoyance in his voice.

"It is quite alright. We can go to Africa another time. Besides Africa in this world may totally be different than the one I'm used to. My kingdom of Opar probably doesn't exist here." said La.

She paused as he spoke about teaching Ask That Guy's son and went into deep thought. She paused and smirked after the waiter left. He talked about a way to give herself immortality despite a risk.

"What kind of risk? I mean if I lose my magic or could possibly die the spell's not really worth it." Said La.

She was curious about the spell but didn't want to take unnecessary risks.

[Loki]

Loki was relieved that La wasn't unimpressed with him. That said, Loki felt a bit ashamed that he didn't think of going there anyway. Then again, this earth was one that La probably wasn't from. Maybe a earth he himself wasn't from. Who knew? It seemed to him that no-one noticed him or called the police yet. So chances of blending in well-enough were quite high. He looked at the food given to him again and felt a bit apprehensive of eating it but he knew he would have to try it so he would. Once he was finished talking to La.

At the mention of La's fear of death or losing magic, Loki's eyes widened shocked "Oh gods above no. If it meant death I would have never mentioned it. As for losing magic, it does not affect magic in anyway" He then responded, his shocked gaze gone "It may be a simple fear but I wish to allow you to know that it just sometimes does not work. It is a hit and miss sort of enchantment. I don't want to keep your hopes high at success when there is that creeping source of failure is all"

[Queen La]

La sighed in relief when he spoke next. It didn't affect her life or her magic. There was just a chance it wouldn't work.

"Well that's different then. If it didn't work I'd be no worse off then I am now then." said La.

She smiled and took his hand.

"Although my life has gotten better since I met you. So if the spell works or not I'll still be happy." said La.

[Loki]

Loki shrugged at La's response to him, he wasn't entirely sure he would put it the way she did but he would take it willingly. He forgot that he let go of La's hand but it seemed to be not a problem since La took it right back, he smiled softly upon the acknowledgement that the two were holding hands. It was a intimate thing to do but they were doing it, and Loki had no problem with it at all. He widened his eyes a bit at La's admitting that life was better with him in it, the very thought of making someone's life better simply because he existed was one of the greatest feelings in the world. Even sitting on Odin's throne was less satisfying than what La said to him this very moment. He let out a small breath before rubbing her hand gently and staring at her eyes "Well La, mortal or not, you have always been the one I care about most, so even if it fails I will at least be content with living with you through the good times and bad" He kissed her hand caressingly and responded softly "No-one has ever made me content the way you do, precious La"

[Queen La]

La grinned as they sat together holding hands. She was enjoying his company more and more. A shame she had to die, and end up possessing several bodies, and then wait to get resurrected and brought her to find him. But it was all worth it.

"I wish I could have found you sooner. I suppose I owe Insano some thanks. If he hadn't created that device we never would have found each other. I'd still be a spirit stuck in the body of a rat in my world and you'd be in yours." said La.

She smiled as he kissed her hand and she nodded to his next words.

"Yes. I feel the same way. For the first time I feel truly happy. I had a kingdom, I had servants but my life was empty until I met you. I thought Tarzan was the one but I was wrong. I was waiting for you. And now I've found you. And I'm not going to let you go." said La, grinning.

The waiter soon returned with their food leaving a bill as La took the food and tried it. It was pretty good.

"Mmm. Delicious. I guess that's why this place is so popular." said La.

[Loki]

Loki nodded in agreement to what La said "My feelings are the same as yours, La" He reminded himself to also thank Insano for creating the device and possibly offering him something for his labor. Once they freed him of course. Loki let out a breath as the waiter came with the check, at least that's what Ask Thatguy called it, and he nodded a word of thanks before conjuring up money for the man to recieve once they were finished. He then acknowledged what La said about him, that she had her life empty, that he was the one for her, that she wasn't going to let him go. These words caused a stirring in his heart, a good one but a stirring of undying loyalty. He never felt this type of loyalty for anyone. Sure he had undying loyalty for Frigga but it didn't have the romantic aspect of it. Loki's smile widened and he tried his hardest not to tear up at her words, so he didn't but his smile had a sense of holding emotions of overwhelmed passion for the queen. He then noticed she was eating and he decided to try it himself. He cut up some of his food and ate it. He nodded "Hmm. It is indeed very delightful. I am not surprised of their success" He continued to eat then, still not believing he actually heard La confess the things she did.

[Queen La]

La grinned at him.

"I'm glad to hear that." said La.

She grinned at him. She smiled as they ate. Hearing him say he liked it as well she smiled.

"So do you have any plans after this? This meal is lovely. But I don't want this date to end you know. I know we have to look for a way to depower Facilier and the others. And try to break that brainwashing spell he's put on some of the members. But I'm really glad for this break. So I'd like to stay out here for maybe a couple more hours." said La.

She grinned at him wondering if he any ideas after this. She didn't know much about this modern world as she had lived in Africa in her world for centuries. But she was eager to find out about this new world. After all she planned on her army winning and taking over this world. So it would benefit her to learn as much as she could about it.

[Loki]

Loki was a bit unsure what to do next, he said he planned more than he really did but hey he could have time to think while eating right? Loki continued eating as La asked him the question of what to do next and Loki decided to think of the best place Chicago could offer that was peaceful. He instantly thought of the gardens near the middle of the city and responded as such "I heard of the gardens the mortals have here. It has plenty of plant life you can look at and... Well, it's perfect if someone needed privacy" He gave a wink at her, he was starting to flirt with her once more even though he was more like praising her. The god wasn't really in tune with romantic tendencies but he knew the basics and his silvertongue worked in any situation, including dates. Loki awaited La's answer to his answer and smiled as he did so, acknowledging that she was just so beautiful this way.

[Queen La]

La grinned as she listened to him when he finally spoke. He had to some thinking it seemed. So he didn't plan everything all at once. He was more in the moment. Spontaneous. She liked that.

"The gardens sound lovely. I'd suggest taking our food to go to have a picnic there. But they probably have some law against eating there." said La.

She sighed as took another bite of her steak as she sipped her drink. She grinned when he winked at her. She chuckled at him.

"Thank you again for this. I needed this. Time to get away to relax. Especially with you." said La.

She smiled at him taking his hand in hers. She smiled and let go as she resumed eating.

[Loki]

He was a bit pleased to see she liked his idea, mostly because he had no other idea, and he chuckled at her joke, aware that it most likely was true that they had a law, due to probably some thug attacking the gardens with food or something. He continued to eat but heard La express thanks for his kindness, and he enjoyed that someone acknowledged the good things he did rather than the bad. This was pretty much a adult version of what Pinnochio did, only it was for mostly his benefit and he was giving a lot more effort into this surprisingly. He gladly took her hand and gave it a affectionate squeeze before she let go and ate more. He finished his steak and replied kindly "You are more than welcome, La. The pleasure is mine" He smiled, glad she was enjoying herself and that she was grateful.

[Queen La]

La grinned as he chuckled at her joke. She wasn't used to people actually laughing with her. She was used to fear from her Leopard Men or people trying to oppose her like Tarzan and his family. This was new and she liked it. Soon she was finished as she smiled. She turned to Loki.

"Well I'm full now. I think I'll definitely come back here for the food. Although I hope next time you're here too." said La.

She grinned. and pulled out some money to pay for her meal. Being a queen she figured she'd pay for herself. She couldn't just demand it like back home. Besides the food was nice here and she might consider coming back here. So she'd prefer to not cause problems at this place. Perhaps when they took over she'd consider making the staff here the army's private chefs.

"Well I'll go pay for my meal. That's the custom right? It's not like fruit you can take from a tree." said La.

A waiter came and asked if they wanted to go cups to take drinks out with them. La nodded figuring these belonged to the restaurant. The waiter returned with a to go cup for her. She smiled finishing the drink in her hand as she picked up the to go cup. She got up and walking to the line that was forming at the cash register. She was going to pay for her meal and once Loki did too they'd be off to the gardens.

[Loki]

"As will I. The mortals around here finally did something accurate" Loki commented, still feeling a bit unsure of the city around them, though he was less suspicious of everyone at this moment. He then nodded seeing that La would pay for her own food, though Loki would've been happy to pay for it, nevertheless he followed her example and got his own money. He turned to her and nodded "Yes. I believe nothing around here is free at all. Except the air" That he chuckled at, mostly because he found some humor in his sardonic comment. He then turned to the waiter who gave her and himself go-to cups from the restuarant. He quickly followed her to pay their meals at the line, annoyed they still had to wait. Though it was a different experience, he enjoyed it because he was with La and this was his idea. He then finally saw the line move and at last it was him with the cashier. Loki quickly gave the money and the cashier gave him money which was less than what he paid for. Confused he asked "Sir, what is this?"

"It's your change sir. You a new customer?" The young man politely asked

Loki chuckled "You could say that" The cashier quickly gave it to him and did the exact same thing for la. Giving La her change, the man said nicely as he could "Thank you two for coming here. Enjoy the rest of your day"

"Your kindness is appreciated" Loki said, before giving his arm to La to leave the line "Shall we?"

[Queen La]

La smiled at him. She chuckled at his joke.

"That depends. There's so much pollution. I wouldn't be surprised if they started bottling clean air and selling it one day." said La.

She grinned as she stepped aside as Loki paid. She had been confused on the change at first as well. But it made sense that if meals were a certain price they wouldn't keep all the money after all. She turned to Loki as they left as she took his arm.

"So where are those gardens anyway? I guess if we get lost along the way at least we'd still be together. It's not like we can't just get back to our home later." said La.

She chuckled and wondered if there was a way to get directions to the gardens. Or if they would just have to hope they found it.
