Your New Family

[Indigo Lantern Jim Black]

(February 24th. Open to Ask That Guy, Dark Nella, Pinocchio, and any kids joining the family.)

Dark Nella paused as she stood waiting. She'd asked some of the kids and a few had agreed to it. She'd legally changed her name to Nella Black and gave all the kids that name. Ask That Guy had a different names as well but she hadn't heard what he had chosen yet. So she waited for her new family to show up as she took a seat.

Pinocchio was the first to arrive hearing he was officially being adopted as they had considered him family but wanted to make it official now as well as adopt the others. So now he had siblings as well. He took a seat waiting for the others.

Jim was hesitant to accept this offer. He still had a family and a home back home. But he was 16 and they might still take him away. He didn't want to be taken away from here so he'd agreed to it. He paused seeing Pinocchio deciding maybe this wouldn't be so bad. He'd have some new younger brothers he'd have to watch out for though.

Mano walked out hearing the noise. He knew this was just a formality. He would still be Ask That Guy's slave but he sat down next to Dark Nella waiting for the others.

[Ronno Black]

Ronno accepted the offer. Without question. Sure he was a deer but hey many of the members were animals or creatures that weren't human. He was so excited about being adopted this way that he jumped for joy. He was practically running at the room where Dark Nella and Pinnochio was, taking a seat next to Jim ignoring his silence. Ronno was also on Pinnochio's other side. This was a perfect opportunity that he would not refuse.

Ask Thatguy changed his name to a name that was simple and old, William Black. That was it. That was the deal. He would tell this as soon as he came to the room. Which would not be very long. Many children's voices were heard and he smirked, glad that many of the children were happy or excited. His smile was actual joy and not sadism of any kind. If there was one thing people didn't know about ATG was that he DID have the capacity to act and be human. One that felt pride and joy and even, shall we say, love. As he entered the room, the children fell dead silent and ATG nodded for Nella to speak

Dark Nella smiled as the group joined him guessing the other kids weren't joining. She had the final papers here for anyone who showed up. They were all signed. She and Ask That Guy just had to send them in. But anyone who didn't want to be adopted they'd just destroy the forms with their names on it. So far it seemed most of the kids had arrived. Leaving the other forms on the table not sure if anyone else was arriving she turned to the others.

"I'm glad you all agreed to come. I know this is a formality. We're not trying to replace family you already have. Just trying to keep you safe. You can call me Mom or Dark Nella. I don't mind either way." said Dark Nella.

She paused walking over to Ask That Guy. She took a seat as she sat down joining him.

Pinocchio smiled glad he was officially their child and he had a few new siblings to boot. Jim, Mano, and Ronno. He smiled turning to Ronno and hugging him.

"We're officially brothers now. This is so cool." said Pinocchio.

It might seem strange to some that one of his new brothers was a deer but he had once been a puppet so strange was the norm for him. He smiled glancing at Jim,and Mano and grinned glad for his new and growing family.

Jim smiled listening to them. He now had three younger brothers although seeing Mano having that collar and how fearful and close he was to Ask That Guy made him suspect he was possibly a slave. The other kids were mostly too young to notice but he hoped he was wrong. But for now he'd help protect his family and the new army.

"Thank you. I miss my mother but I know there's a small chance I could be taken away since I'm underage. So I'm glad you came up with this idea." said Jim.

Mano remained silent nodding his agreement with the others. He paused seeing Jim's concern and was flattered but didn't want to say anything knowing his place. Although hoping one day he could be free.

[Ronno Black]

"Yes. We're not asking you to forget. Only to join here for your own safety. If you wish to consider Nella and I as your family that is just as good. Don't feel pressured" He obviously was talking to the other children, Mano had no choice but the others did. Ask Thatguy sat next to Nella and felt it best to wait a few moments longer for children to come. He allowed the children to speak their excitement or concern and responded "If your real families come they can still join the "black" family also. That way we'll keep it as legal as possible"

"This is awesome!" Ronno shouted, allowing the boy to hug him while nuzzling back. He responded "I never had siblings before! So awesome!" Ronno turned to Jim and finally pinnochio laughing "Well I have human siblings but it's still fine by me!" Ronno nearly jumped with joy and responded to Nella "So what do we have to sign? Do we have to sign it or you Ms. Nella?"

Dark Nella smiled when everyone agreed to it.

"Don't worry. We're the ones adopting you. Ask That Guy and I need to sign it. I'm going by Nella Black in the human world. What is your fake name again honey?" asked Dark Nella.

She paused signing the five forms before handing them to Ask That Guy so he can sign and make it official. Then they could just have them sent off to the agency with her magic and they'd be filed.

Pinocchio smiled glad his family was growing. Ronno nuzzled him back and he grinned hugging him. He then hugged Jim and Mano before hugging Ask That Guy and Dark Nella.

"Now I have three new brothers and you two are officially my parents now. This is the best day ever." said Pinocchio.

He grinned glancing at his newly extended family.

Jim nodded listening to the others.

"I was an only child. But I always did want a little brother. And now I've got three." said Jim.

He grinned as Pinocchio came to hug him. He hugged him in return and hugged Ronno and Mano as well.

"We're a family now. We should celebrate. Anyone got any ideas?" asked Jim.

Mano remained silent shocked at Pinocchio and Jim hugging him. He realized he had to keep up appearances. The kids wouldn't have any idea this was just a formality to keep him. He nodded agreeing with the others when they suggest they celebrate. He didn't want to overstep his bounds. He and Ask That Guy would have to come to an arrangement at some point later.

[Mowgli Black]

Elsewhere Mowgli entered the room late. He too accepted the invitation but he was apprehensive. He was wih a family of his own back in India but these people seemed to be kind enough and trustworthy. At the annoucement of being the black family, Mowgli just took a seat and apoligized "Sorry I'm late. I came to accept the offer of being in the family too. It's worth it from getting away from those other armies"

Ronno hugged everyone of the members of the "family" including Mano, the deer was so happy. He then heard Jim's suggestion and responded "We could have like some sort of party! Or we could hangout in the backyard and do a game or something!" Ronno turned to Mowgli who arrived late but decided to get back to him later

"This is so cool. We're all a big family! I never had siblings, this should be great!" He responded

"William Black dear Nella" ATG responded gently, looking over the documents. He turned to see Mowgli and nodded to him "Quite alright Mowgli. You're here now and that's all that matters" He then looked at the documents more and started to sign some inviting Dark Nella to do also.

Jim grinned glancing down at Mowgli. He grinned wrapping him into a hug.

"Welcome to the family Mowgli." said Jim.

He nodded as he glanced at the others.

"A party sounds good. What do you say?" asked Jim.

Pinocchio grinned at Ronno's suggestion.

"Yeah. A party sounds fun. With food and games. We could have a blast." said Pinocchio.

Mano nodded looking up at his new "parents" for their approval. It did sound like a lot of fun. Seeing them both nod he grinned.

"Let's go. I think we have some food in the fridge we could use. Or we could make a quick trip to the store and get some food." said Mano.

Dark Nella turned to the others.

"Oh it's ok. I had that taken care of. We have tons of food in the fridge. I brought that with me just in case you guys wanted a party." said Dark Nella.

She turned to ATG and nodded.

"William Black huh. It suits you." said Dark Nella.

She grinned giving him a kiss hearing gasps and groans and she pulled back and chuckled. Kids just thought romance was disgusting but she enjoyed being with Ask That Guy. Perhaps it was time they considered getting married.

[Mowgli Black]

"Thanks man" Mowgli said happily, he was glad to be friends/family members with these guys. They were like a little team in some ways and it was enjoyable for him to be around. "Neat. A party sounds like a good idea" Mowgli responded, deliberately ignoring the groans and gasps because he knew exactly what it was targeted for. He didn't want to care nor did he care. The jungle boy went upstairs and responded "Then let's go upstairs. Thanks for the food Dark Nella!" He went upstairs immediately, liking the fact there was food

"William black? Why does that sound like a story character? Aw well. To each their own.... Um. Yuck" Ronno said rolling his eyes at the display, while his other siblings just showed disgust. Like Mowgli he didn't want to care nor did he. Ronno closed his eyes and gave a proud stance as everybody mentioned his idea of a party was good and that nella had food for them "Well I don't mean to brag but party just came to my mind and well, let's get something to eat! Thanks mom!" Ronno said, forgetting his real mom was out there somewhere in the heat of the moment and followed Mowgli upstairs

"Does it well I thought it was---" Ask Thatguy nearly said before getting kissed. Immediately he kissed back, also ignoring the kids' comments or groans. He enjoyed his fiance and felt that their engagement was going on for too long. The kids were going upstairs and he whispered to Dark Nella so the children couldn't hear "Let's talk in private shall we? Also, we need to set arrangements for our wedding. Our engagement has been going on for quite some time now"

[Dark Nella/Nella Black]

Jim smiled grabbing Mano as he followed the others upstairs as soon as they were upstairs. Jim smiled as served himself a plate of food for himself and Mano taking a seat as Mano joined him.

"Come on guys. There's plenty of food for everyone." said Jim.

Mano smiled taking a seat next to Jim as he began eating off the plate. There was pizza, chips, drinks, all kinds of good food. He would make sure to eat his fill not sure if Ask That Guy or Dark Nella could come and take him away again.

"Yeah. There's enough for everyone." said Mano.

Pinocchio smiled rushing off with the others upstairs. He grinned seeing tons of food as he grabbed a plate of food and some water and took a seat. He smiled as he began eating while glancing at his new siblings.

Dark Nella grinned and pulled away from the kiss. She turned seeing the other kids head upstairs for the party. She turned back to ATG. She smiled at him and nodded.

"Yes. It's about time we had our wedding. I know we've only been engaged for nearly two months but I don't really care about time. I'd love to be your wife as soon as possible. There's not many people here though. I think we'd need someone to marry us." said Dark Nella.
