Quote: "Once more onto the breach dear friends! Once more! Or close the wall with our english dead!"
Name: Henry Plantagenet V AKA Harry or Hal
Due to confusion between trying to call him or Henry IV(His father), only family members called him Harry and only friends, allies and strangers simply called him Hal. Due to no family around now, he insists the hero army to call him Hal only, because of Henry being a important name and Harry giving him painful reminders of the past. So Harry is a name I'll use along with Hal but for the other RPer's characters just call him Hal
Age: Supposedly over 200 years old, but due to reincarnation Henry is 35.
Where is this character from?: The Hollow Crown: Shakespeare's Henry IV Part One and Two & Henry V
Why did you pick him/her?: Because he's just a perfect warrior, guider and provider. That and his personality is just interesting to me. Hal's awesome
Picture: (Version one of what he would look like)
(If he has not shaved, yes he's learned how to shave, this is what he looks like)
Personality: Henry has the ability to be two things: The brilliant, strong, brave, loyal leader or the obnoxious, irresponsible, funloving, michievious friend. Henry tries his hardest to be both things but knows of someone of his blood-line can't have the best of both worlds, but he damn well tries anyway. He's very confident in himself but will take constructive criticism to heart and use it. He's a good friend to have by your side and will support you to his dying day but don't expect him to agree with EVERYTHING you say, he has his own opinion and will say it. If you are too much or too annoying for him to keep around, he will get rid of his loyalty issues and drop you like a hot potato so even though you trust him you better appreciate him, he can deal with a lot of things but bullshit is not one of them. He has a huge heart, caring and compassionate and does express more merciful technques to use rather than violence but if it can't be avoided or modified then Henry will be the first person to strike and cry murder. Speaking of which, he may be a caring person but he does have the capacity to be cruel, sure it's mostly a act but he plays the act very well and will show examples of cruelty if it means getting the job done.
Oh one more important thing, Hal has a hothead. A really big hothead. So even though he's funloving, kind, brave and strong be careful when you make him angry. When he sees red, all he sees is fists flying and blood coming out. Don't mess with him when angry. His temper is terrible and makes the cruel side of him even stronger than it ever should be. So don't make him angry, you'll regret it badly
Anyway, back to being funloving, that's the main thing consistant about him other than his caring, kind side. He knows how to have a good time and will show it when the chance arises. He may not be sober but he will damn well be the best drinking pal you ever laid eyes on. He's creative, enjoyable to be around and loves to joke around. He's shown to be serious a lot due to responsibilties he possesses but once you see his fun side you know he can be both serious and friendly. He is incredibly witty and sarcastic too, he is sutble about it but he makes tons of snappy retorts and funny jokes because it cheers him up or someone else up. His sarcasm, along with his determination for justice and his heart being loyal, is what drives him to be the person he is now
History: Born in Monmouth Castle to Henry IV and Mary de Bohun, Henry V was born into some sort of royalty. Since early childhood, Henry V was trained and taught military battle, raised to be a soilder and servant to Richard II, being called Harry to prevent confusion but when Harry was around 13-14, his father called upon the chance to rule the kingdom due to Richard II being overthrown and so young Harry became the prince of Wales and been so for a while. Due to his teenage rebellion, Harry befriended Falstaff, a fallen knight who was a rioting old drunk, and Poins, who Harry felt was his actual and real friend due to Falstaff lying behind his back. He stood beside those two, causing trouble, drinking out and having many one-night-stands with the bar women, along the way also earning the name Hal, a name that he would keep deep into his heart. However, during a rebellion lead by Hotspur, Harry was called by his father to shapen up and wanting to please his father, Harry/Hal did so and lead a charge againist the rebels. He killed off Hotspur, despite Falstaff claiming his body afterwards, and was friends with his father for a time.
However, bad things were to come, Hal was still hanging out with Poins who was a lowly peasant and earning Henry IV's disappointment. Hal didn't care though because he was just comforting himself over his father's sudden illness. Eventually though, Henry IV was so sick Hal/Harry assumed him dead and called himself king. When confronted by his sick, angry father over being more concerned about the crown than him, Hal/Harry convinced him otherwise and both men were finally and completely reconciled. Not long after that though, Henry IV died from a sudden brain attack and the coronation was given to Hal/Harry now named Henry V of England due to being next in line to Henry IV. He abandoned Falstaff and the majority of the people he once spent time with, however he sneakily spent time with Poins and stayed friends with only him, even though the visits were short and quiet.
Due to being king, Henry V wanted France to be part of his kingdom and so set off with his followers to earn France. After many rebellions from the french, as well as battles, Henry V succeeded his duty to getting france on England's land and earned Catherine of Valois as his bride. He married Catherine and had a son with her, Henry VI. However, he was suddenly ill and died from a unknown fever. Where is he now? With us, many years later. Reincarnated by Dr. Facilier to join his forces, Henry V demanded where he was and when explained he knew his past but wanted to forget his pains and so renamed himself Hal after his young days. Facilier almost convinced him to join but during a walk he spied Facilier torturing prisoners. Outraged by this, Hal demanded answers to Facilier's cruelty. Facilier snapped that the people he was beating was a enemy only, Hal didn't buy it so Facilier told him the truth. He was taking over the world and killing everyone who defied him. Despite being saved by Facilier, Hal refused to join this bloodbath of a idea, Facilier threatened that Hal would be killed again but Hal responded with a punch to the face and escaping.
He now resides with Nostalgia Critic, seeing him as a actual leader, and tries to live on with this war and think what to do with his new life in the 21st century. Hopefully a chance arises where Hal can be of a good use
Allies: Nostalgia Critic's Army(Though he takes a personal liking to particularly Elisa. He is extremely attracted to her and since his wife's passing, he seems to be willing to court her)
Enemies: Facilier's Army(Even though Facilier was responsible for bringing him back from the dead, looking as young as ever), Ask Thatguy's Army
Plans: Possible romance with Elisa, pretty please? Be a high soilder, a captain or general would be perfect. Fight Rita Repulsa or Dark Nella to just get a taste of what magic might hold
Sample Post(First character needed others are entirely up to you): Hal ran as fast as he could. Hearing swearing and loud gunshots during the night as he ran. He just recently escaped Facilier's forces and was being hunted down due to knowing too much of what Facilier was doing. He breathed as loud as his lungs would allow, not wanting to lose breath and get caught. Oh woe to him, really, because he was so curious to what Facilier was doing. He knew no real ruler would be so cruel and torturous to prisoners even if they were enemies, Hal believed that prisoners needed to have a lot of bounty on their heads before such acts were deserved. Grantite he forced a take no prisoner act once but that was out of his rage. It couldn't of been helped. Now he was in danger, suddenly he heard no noise except two voices
"Facilier! The fool went into the woods to the heroes side! Should I destroy him master?"
"No! Fuck him. Leave him there on the losers side. It'll be so much easier to kill him. Let the redheaded former king try to gain his glory back"
"I assure you, strange doctor, your actions towards your enemies will be the ones you regret most. For the king of england was a man of no mercy in battle, and now Hal also is a man of no mercy in battle. Especially when he is loyal to a side that tis not savage" Hal hissed, eyes narrowed angrily and teeth coming out like daggers
