Being A Better Man

[Dr. Facilier]

(OCC: February 12th. Facilier and Linkara only. Fight thread)

The voodoo doctor was suffice it to say pleased with things going right to plan. IHeart was soon to be in his hands and no-one, not even that lover boy Ma-Ti, could stop him or stand in his way. After all that brat belonged to him. The shadowman walked through the streets, arrogantly playing all the plans he had in his head and chuckled to himself.

"Man, once I get my things arranged, that stupid kid won't know what I got planned" He of course meant Ma-Ti but to some passerby it would just be some random child. Or for someone else, it may have meant someone all the more important or all the more different

Linkara had been moping in one of the dark alleyways that the city seemed to have. He was quietly praying, begging God for forgiveness for what the war was making him into, he felt less and less like Lewis Lovhaug and more like... well, a monster. He finished his prayer with a hushed "Amen." and then slowly started to move back to the house.

It was then that Faciler passed the alleyway, chuckling about some kid.

Now Linkara knew he wasn't a very perfect man, he was short tempered, he was angry, he could be rough. But one thing he wasn't, was someone who took another hurting a child very, very lightly. And to hear Faciler laughing about this, just a month or so after hurting IHeart terribly... Well, he might do something.

He moved, and placed his hat on his head firmly, then he walked out behind the doctor. Pulling out his dragon dagger, he ran down and brought the dagger down hard on Faciler's neck.

(OCC, if this is too god-moddy, then I can change it)

(OCC: I think this can work but Linkara didn't know dark magic will bite him in the ass XD)

Facilier knew someone was coming to attempt and kill him. Some strange aura told him so, so when Linkara attempted to stab his neck with the dragon dagger he was prepared. A specific purple shield guarded the black magic user's neck and caused the dagger to backfire all together. Facilier was angry but he didn't show it, instead he showed slight annoyance. Facilier really had no empathy for the man before him and even more so to his motives to why he attacked.

With his cane glowing he threateningly snapped "What was that for, stranger? You have anger issues you REALLY need to get over"

[Linkara]

On relflection, it wasn't such a good idea to attack a high ranking member of the army with voodoo powers. Linkara was thrown back, his hat sent flying a distance away. "Oh, so you don't recognize me do you? Well then, let me see, how can I refresh your memory? Oh yes, I'm a friend of IHeart, I'm a guy who defeated Mechakara twice and lived. So, listen here, I don't take kindly to people who hurt my friends!" With that, he pulled out the gun and started firing at the cane.

Facilier widened his eyes, this was Linkara. Linkara was the man DarkHeart and her father constantly complained about. This was also one of Ma-Ti's friends. He couldn't get it. What was it with IHeart that every person had to fight for her? Facilier however knew the man wasn't going to leave and ask nicely for him to leave the girl alone. He didn't care what Linkara was so upset about nor about the person he was avenging but he did care that he was being attacked.

"Like I care about that brat. She's not my problem. However she's in Ask Thatguy's possession and hopefully he won't get any funny ideas" Facilier said this to set the man off and cause a mistake. The magic gun however successfully hit Facilier's cane but it wasn't too damaging. OK, now Facilier was going to teach Linkara a thing or two. Facilier spoke again "Wow. Serving a snotnose girl to the very end? Why that's so noble, for a comic book nerd"

That suddenly caused something in Linkara to snap perfectly and utterly. Having heard how sick and deranged That Guy was, the quip hit at home. THe comments just flew by, as Linkara took a step forward, and then another, and another, and then he running towards Faciler, snarling and pulling out his BFG. He fired wildly towards him, diving behind a pile of boxes and continuing onwards.

Facilier couldn't help but wonder where the hell the boxes came from, on the other hand this caused him to be hurt by Linkara's BFG. The voodoo doctor, angerily enough, got right back up and aimed his cane and swiped it across Linkara's face. This was a attempt to bring him down and if that didn't work, Facilier's other attack was his shadow grabbing linkara's in a tight vice-like strangle. Facilier was not going to let this so-called hero attack him for some kid he didn't know entirely nor care about. He only wanted to leave. Maybe he SHOULD do something to IHeart to teach the comic book nerd a lesson.

"Like this is gonna convince me to leave the twerp alone. What makes her so special to you guys? No seriously. What is so important about her?" Facilier dared to ask

[Linkara]

Snarling, Linkara felt his skull get rocked by the cane, sending him crashing to the street below. He gagged as he felt the strong power of the shadow start to choke the living hell out of him. He put up his middle finger at the shadow man "And you'd know right, being such a great person to actually care about someone? Hell, I'd do this if you did this for any member of the army. However in IHeart's case-" And he brought his fist towards Faciler's face. "-I'll give you the full package."

Linkara's punch hit and blood was shown on the doctor's face. It didn't stir the man at all however and only a cold-hearted glare came in the mist. What Linkara told him caused him to snarl right back, not in defiance but it sheer anger. This stupid boy, yes linkara looked younger than him so it counted, really thought being noble for his little kiddie friend was going to make Facilier run? He was wrong. And he was going to get worse punishment for even considering he'd try to hurt him. Sure linkara would do this for anyone he was a ally or friend with but it was evident that IHeart held close to the man's heart....

Wait. That was it. Facilier then decided to manipulate Linkara's emotions and not insult them. However, he planned it and this caused Facilier to stare at linkara's angry brown eyes and grin. Nothing else, just grinning.

That grin was stupid. His cane was stupid. His hat was stupid. His tiny little penis was made of stupid. Everything about this man screamed stupid form top to bottom painting itself purple and dancing on the sidewalk and screaming at the top of it's lungs "STUPIDEST IS HERE AGAIN!" So, he wanted to play rough?

Fine, he would play rough.

With a nash of his teeth, Linkara sent a blast towards one of the Shadow Man's feet. Then, he promptly ran towards him, and promptly bit him savegly.

(OCC, is this OCC? Probably, but I love writing furious Linkara.)

(OCC: I'm pretty sure angry linkara is not entirely oc. It's pretty ok on my side of the RP XD. Sorry for being so damn late)

Linkara's anger caused Facilier to easily dodge but what caused Facilier to increase thinking about putting IHeart in the conversation was the fact that Linkara was slowly acting like a animal. Savagely attacking with passion and admitted nobility. He obviously cared for the young girl spoken of and this caused Facilier to easily figure out what made the comic book geek crack

Putting arms length between him and the other male, Facilier responded, using his acting chops to make the man calm down. He feigned fear "Alright! Alright! You win! I give up! Just hear me out! What if I swore to protect IHeart from Ask Thatguy's grubby hands!?"

Linkara, if he had been saner and not absolutley driven insane for a moment with rage, perhaps might have caught something in Faciler's tone. However, he proceeded with caution, and picking out his dragon dagger, he glared across at the Shadow Man "Okay. What's in it for you? Power? Riches? Me being your eternal slave for life and betraying all my friends?"

(OCC, sorry, my inner snark came out in that one.)

Linkara's calm stature did have some rage within stride. Facilier knew to stead carefully with this or he'd be attacked mercilessly. He leaned carefully on his cage, pretending the wind was knocked out of him and looked to the paler man with a look of both sly and sarcasm. He caught the annoyance and sarcasm in Linkara's voice and knew he needed to fully convince the man to go away or something down that line or his whole scheme would be found out.

"You know me too well. However, this time, you won't be the one to pay the debt. IHeart will" Facilier made sure Linkara heard that very well, to hint this would cause IHeart suffering in a sense. He smirked to Linkara and responded "Her protection from Ask Thatguy will mean she'll be my hostage. Which means her fate will be in my hands. So, in exhange of protection, you and your stupid posse don't kill me or she'll be the one dead"

Facilier then chuckled "Or we can just keep fighting and your so-called precious friend will have to deal with the hands of some sex-deprived pervert. And I honestly think you don't want that right?"

[Linkara]

"Huh."

Linkara thought carefully about this. On the one hand, he couldn't trust Faciler. As far as he knew, he was a dangerous man, who knew, he might even be ready to clap irons and toture the poor girl. And at least with Ask that Guy, you sorta kinda knew what to expect with him. With this guy, it was almost impossible to work out what he would do.

On the other hand.... Ask that Guy. Just.... Ask that Guy.

[Dr. Facilier]

"Wow. You really do care. Normally people wouldn't think this through. Or maybe you're smarter than the rest" Facilier smirked calmly to the paler man. He knew Linkara was thinking it through. IHeart AND Ma-Ti would be his, IHeart probably the most temporary but that was beside the point. That is she would be if he accepted. Maybe he didn't sound convincing enough. He DID seem like it was a joke somewhat. Facilier looked at the man's expressions and they showed signs of self-doubt or more frankly, distrust.

"Alright here's the thing, I'm going to be even more generous. If you accept my offer of my life being spared, I won't lay a single finger on your friend. No physical torture, no death, no physical agony. None of that. She'd just be in my possession unless I don't need her anymore. Like, maybe a raid or somethin'. Now that's being fair ain't it? She'd be away from that pervert Ask Thatguy, she'd be safe and more importantly you don't have a bargin on your head" Facilier said, giving off a sincere and honest tone. Which was a first for him. Facilier then looked to Linkara to see if he would respond.
