Frustrated

[Nostalgia Critic]

OCC: February 13th. Morning. Open to Critic, Spoony & Linkara. Friendship/Hurt/Comfort)

Nostalgia Critic with Spoony beside him began walking in search for their final part of the classic trio. Linkara was upset and slightly injured yesterday and never explained why, but the man grumbled out, went to his room and didn't come out until this morning to go out for a walk. Feeling curious, both men went to find him and see what was wrong

"Any sign of him spoony?" Critic asked

"Nada. Linkara knows when you should find him, he may not want us too" Spoony responded, slightly hurt

Critic's eyes narrowed before he looked in the wooden area. He then responded "Knowing me, I go out to the woods to cool off sometimes. Maybe he's there?"

"Worth a shot. Let's be quiet though so we can give him some time" Spoony responded before walking off. The leader, Critic of course, was right beside him but walking slightly faster

[Linkara]

The tree was insulting him just by standing there. Usually he'd be a bit more careful about the environment, but right now trees were the least of his concern. With a roar he just punched it. He yelped as the pain in his knuckles increased largely. He sighed and then started to sit down on a large tree stump in the corner. Since the attack, he had felt angry and miserable, especially at himself, with the Vyce situation.

"Should we talk to him?" Critic asked Spoony.

Spoony rolled his eyes and responded harshly "No let's just keep him punching the tree. Of course we talk to him!"

"I was being unsure, jerkass" Critic responded back but he looked at Linkara again and felt his good side take over. Poor linkara had it rough, Lord Vyce was back and IHeart was recently captured. Her capture took toll on all of them but linkara and Ma-Ti most of all. It killed him to see his allies like this. He just watched sadly

Spoony felt the same way but instead of standing there, he took action. He went over to Linkara and gently put a friendly hand on the man's shoulder and responded sadly "All this nonsense happening is not your fault. You didn't know, you couldn't of known"

[Linkara]

Linkara was massaging his knuckles as Spoony came over to talk to him. While his intentions might have been noble, it suddenly just riled him up even more. He just bitterly laughed and turned to Spoony "You know, so far this has been a really rotten year. Three of my greatest enemies who know me inside out and regularly beat my ass up on a daily basis have just joined forces in a war with several other incredibly tough badasses. I have been tied up in a cupboard, locked in my own house, betrayed by my own friends, nobody can remember what I actually do review and so far, one of my best friends has been captured by the guy who I was supposed to looking on, who utterly wasted me in my first meeting and now knows what to expect with me, and he's holding every single of those prisoners to ransom, all the while taunting me with the fact that they can hurt them all they want and I can't stop them. It's my fault IHeart got hurt in the first raid, it's my fault that Patch got captured and then turned on us, it's my fault that for some god damn reason Maleficent doesn't respect me as much as you, Snob and Critic, it's my fault that Harvey is crying his eyes out everynight, it's my fault I even arsed to try and got behind the Critic's back to try and help him and the others, it is my fault right now, that we have all these prisoners there and I can't help them, so for the love of life Spoony, can you please tell me something that I have actually got right in this war so far, because I really need to hear that right now." He slumped over the stump again.

(OCC, wow I enjoyed writing that rant.)

(OCC: Your rant made me tear up slightly. Not gonna lie)

Critic hissed silently, Linkara was close to snapping and he knew it. Spoony was now stuck and he was supposed to respond to Linkara's insecurities. As he stood by the trees, Critic pondered his own answers and was about to try to add his own point or comment. However, Spoony, again spoke for him. The answers Spoony gave allowed Critic to stay quiet

"First off, Patch's turn to the villains was his choice not yours. Secondly, your enemies have beaten you but you can and usually have beaten them right back. Thirdly, IHeart did what she had to do to do her part in the war and her capture was on the badguys part. All the crap going on isn't your fault, my fault or Critic's. It's their fault. They started it in the first fucking place, that's why we fight back. So don't fucking tell me, your best friend, that you don't deserve to be here" Spoony shouted harshly. Spoony was a bit put-off by the other man's snappy response and so acted like he would with any snappy response.

However, Spoony saw this wasn't helping and saw Critic knew it too, so Spoony got right back to his gentle demeanor and kneeled next to Linkara's face. Spoony firmly responded then "OK. How about your dragon dagger? What about your strategic attitude? What about you being there for Harvey now? What about your experience with war? Those all seem like pretty good options of what's right about you being here!"

[Linkara]

Linkara took the first set of criticisms well, though in a rather sullen mood. He didn't even bother to respond to most of them, however he couldn't help pointing out that it was on one of his missions that Patch had been kidnapped and had bonded with Mechakara. However he couldn't help but respond to what Spoony said next, though perhaps in a more gentle tone. "But that's just it Spoony. Everytime I think I have a weapon to defeat them, they keep upgrading. My strategic abilities are fine, but they always seem to keep making mistakes, it seems everytime I make a good move, it keeps getting thrown back in my face. I can't keep comforting Harvey all the time, I need to get her back, he's not listening to me anymore. And the war-"

He just broke off.

"I don't even know anymore. I just... I don't know."

[Nostalgia Critic]

"Well the mentions of war are my fault to be honest" Critic commented slightly. Spoony turned to gaze wide-eyed at the other man. The three men eventually went to a silent sullen attitude. And to be quite honest, it was hell for all of them. It really was. The war took a toll on them physically, emotionally and maybe even mentally. Probably. Critic turned to Spoony who tried to think of a reasonable arguement for the comic book hero, but critic knew that spoony was coming up with nothing. So, Critic thought, I need to explain this problem

"Linkara. Look, yes we need you but not just for weapons and strategic things. We need you for support. For the justice of the area we live in. The world's in danger of these scumbags and even though we have other people, I don't think anyone has ever mentioned you negatively. Look when I think about you, I see a man who does not take bullshit. I see a man who takes things with courage and dignity. I see a man kind, honest, brave, loyal and more importantly strong. You're not weak. If anything I am. I shouldn't of brought you here to a place of violence and anger. This includes Spoony, Marzgurl, IHeart, Ma-Ti and Chick. Like it or not though, I need you and the others to keep fighting. I don't want chicago in ruin by Ask Thatguy. We need to keep on. Can you do that?"

(OCC: Major guilt and apoligy Linkara)

Linkara wiped his eyes, feeling the pressure move through his eyes, making tears drop. He looked up and nodded at the Critic "Y-yeah, I'll be able to do it. It's just-" He took a deep breath "-it's such a difference from what I usually did. I mean, there I was just reviewing comic books, saving the world from one or two threats at a time, and then-" He shook his head, unable to finish.

Critic pitied Linkara and offered a hand to the comic nerd's shoulder. He understood and felt terrible for his comrade and looked to see Spoony have a look of pity on his face as well. It was upsetting to have their friends be this way. Critic responded again "I know. It is different but we can face this. Together. As friends"

"Critic's right Linkara. We can do it. You can do it. If you can handle a entity you can handle this. Don't doubt yourself" Spoony responded

"Critic's right Linkara. We can do it. You can do it. If you can handle a entity you can handle this. Don't doubt yourself" Spoony responded

"Heh, thanks guys." Linkara relaxed, just a little bit, it probably wasn't even that noticeable, but it was a start. He pulled himself together and gave a slight grin to Spoony and Critic. "So, the Three Knuckleheads back together, eh? It seems like only yesterday that we were all in arguing about Alone in the Dark. You hit me in the balls and we all decided that Spoony needs glasses. Good times"
