(ooc: February 17th, open to only Russia and Vanellope. Ugh, sorry for the fail of a title.)
The little girl had been utterly bored. With the ability to control her glitch somewhat lost, Vanellope had mostly found herself hanging around the Critic's house, whether it was sitting around bored like she had been mainly doing today, or exploring and having fun with some of the things that existed in the real world far from her home of Sugar Rush.
According to what one of the critic's doctors had said, her glitching issue was most likely the human equivalent to a cold, it was bound to go away after a few days or so. Most likely a side effect from arriving in Chicago. And of course, Ralph had been more protective than usual refusing to see her fight. Ha! Stinkbreath thinks he can keep me here, just watch." The raven haired girl thought as she walked through the forest, skipping past some rocks and over twigs. She looked over to notice that the sun was starting to descend over the Earth. Night was coming.
"Shoot, I need to get back home before anyone notices." The glitch gasped outloud, before she realized that she had no idea how to get back. Her heart sank a bit. "There's no way, I'll be able to glitch that far." She sighed to herself, only to hear a rustling in the bushes. Her body fizzled blue as she glitched in surprise. "Uh, hello? Anyone there?" She called out, slightly nervous as she realized she wasn't alone.
The big Russian man had wandered a bit too close to the Critic's territory, maneuvering through the bushes. He hadn't thought much about where he was going, he was just wandering around. Boredom had taken over, and now he just wanted to see something that was going to entertain him. Ivan wasn't much for socializing, a well-known fact amongst the nations. He had not wanted to talk to anyone, at least not anyone on his team of this war. It was nearing nighttime anyway, so Russia highly doubted that anybody would be running around at this time of the day that was going to bother him.
He was wrong.
"Hmm?" He heard a little girl. What was a kid doing around these parts? Russia had no idea. He readjusted his scarf, violet eyes searching around for the child. He was quick to find her. Candy was sprinkled in her dark hair, and she was short. Nearly everyone was short compared to Ivan, actually. America, England, Japan, itty bitty Latvia, the list went on and on. It wasn't a surprise that this girl was short as well. He had to say something to her. Surprisingly enough, he was pretty friendly at the moment. "Da, I'm here. You look a little lost."
Odd. He could have sworn he saw something happen to her. Blue fizzles. Maybe his eyes were wearing down, or he was going even crazier than before.

"Huh?" Vanellope wheeled around to see a tall man behind her, not nearly as large as Ralph but still much larger than most males she had seen. "Yeah, I guess you could say that." The glitchy girl admitted, taking note of the man's foreign accent.
"You talk kinda funny." She told him, rather innocent in her dark eyes and ignorant in the sense that she didn't exactly grasp the concept of different languages other than English. Well Adorabreezle did have a "British one" as she described it, but Vanellope didn't pay much not of it. "Anyway, I guess were not going to do much just standing here are we? The name's Vanellope, Vanellope von Schweetz." She introduced herself doubting that Russia had heard of her since she just only restored to being the ruler of her game.
"Ah-ah-choo!" She felt herself sneeze, disappearing in a blue flash and reappearing a foot or two to what previously was her right. That could've implied that she was a little different than the average child.

The Russian had to let out a chuckle when the young girl mentioned he talked funny. She must have been unfamiliar with people outside of Americans. Though, that didn't surprise Ivan too much. America had always been a pretty clueless individual in the Russian's eyes. The people living in his country were sure to ask questions about accents and such. "I come from Russia, so I speak with a Russian accent. You're American, da?" Ivan said, looking over the young girl.
She introduced herself. What an odd name she had. Vanellope von Schweets. He hadn't heard of that name originating from any country. He shrugged it off and decided to introduce himself. "My name is Russia, but you can call me Ivan." She seemed a little odd, but Russia couldn't figure out why. He couldn't figure out why until he saw her rather interesting sneeze, anyway. A dark eyebrow was raised as he looked at Vanellope.
"Are you... Magical?" He wasn't sure how to describe what he'd just seen, nor did he know the right question to ask. All he knew was that it was different.
Vanellope hardly knew what happened when she found herself in a new place. A sigh escaped her mouth, would she ever have this under control again? "Uh, yeah I wouldn't call it magic exactly. It's more of an error in my coding." A chill went up her spine as she thought of the past bullying her ability had caused her, being told that she was a mistake from the start, her dreams getting crushed, being hated for everyone and for what being a glitch, it wasn't fair at all.
After her self reflection she glanced back towards the Russian. "Look, I know this is going to sound weird, but I'm not from around here. I'm actually a video game character from this game called Sugar Rush." After saying what she had to say, brown eyes quirked in confusion. "Russia?" She repeated the man's name outloud. Huh. That was strange, though the glitch girl did recall reading a book about countries and maps back when Ralph made her stay inside the whole day. She must have been real bored at the time. "Wait, a minute Russia isn't that a country, why are you named after one?" The glitch had a few questions in mind as she was growing more and more curious about the person she just met.

Error in her coding? The Russian wasn't quite sure how to understand what he heard until she explained it further. A video game character? Sugar Rush? Video games weren't something he was entirely familiar with. He was sure that there were others who were much more knowledgable when it came to games. Unless it was Russian Roulette, Russia probably had no idea what anyone was talking about when it came to games. Violet eyes held a quizzical look, as if he wanted to ask more, but he restrained himself from doing so. Instead, he let the little girl talk a little more.
Then came the subject of his name. He thought about how to answer so that she would understand. "Russia is my homeland, yes, and it's also myself. I am Russia," the man said, hoping his explanation would do. It was so odd talking to humans, or even video game characters, as they didn't seem to comprehend that countries were people. Ever since Russia arrived in this odd parallel universe, nobody seemed to recognize him as a country. There were probably comments about him drinking too much vodka, thinking he's a country, but it was true.
"You see, where I come from, every country is a person. Better explanation, da?"
The tiny glitch was a bit confused by the answer initially, but if she came from a place where video game characters were living she could certainly believe that Russia came from a place where countries were living people. And thats when it hit her. "Wait a minute, did you wake up here one day two?" She asked, dark eyes glancing at Ivan's lilac ones.
It surprised the Russian when Vanellope asked if he had just woken up in Chicago one day. There seemed to be a lot of people that experienced that. His lilac orbs blinked a few times, as if to confirm if he heard her right. "Da, I woke up here for some odd reason. But why would a little girl like you wake up here as well?" Russia said, his words slow and wondering.
Why would anyone want to drag a young girl out here, to an American city? Especially a video game character. How was that even possible? Maybe America's technology was getting far too advanced. Nobody had really told him what was going on with the people arriving out of nowhere.
The tiny glitch shrugged. "Hey, your guess is as good as mine." She told him. "Maybe it has something to do with us coming from different universe and stuff. That's what the Nostalgia Chick told me at least." Vanellope said unknowingly revealing her alignment, a huge factor for this occasion. But Russia seemed like a decent guy so far, why would he be with the Villains right?
"So, what's your world like? Is everyone really a country there? Ooh, is there an America, England and China too, what are they like? Well, I mean I just found out about countries the other day, but I mean this stuff sounds cool, y'know?" The little girl began to spew questions, maybe too many questions.
Nostalgia Chick. That name sounded familiar. And very similar to Nostalgia Critic. Russia's name was extremely similar to Prussia's, but that wasn't the case here. Russia knew that this so-called 'Nostalgia Chick' was part of the same team as Nostalgia Critic. If years of experience ever helped Russia out, this was the time. If he kept his mouth shut about his allegiance, things could work out well in his favor. With the right cards, Russia could get this little girl on his side. She could become his ally. She could give him information about the Critic's army.
That required Russia to play his cards right and not scare her off.
He bent down on one knee. She was smaller than Latvia, for crying outloud! It was easier to make eye contact with the girl when he was close to her level. He let out a surprisingly lighthearted chuckle. "One question at a time, da? I am glad you show interest, but ask too many questions and you may learn answers you don't want to hear," Ivan started, resting his hands on his knee. "Yes, yes, everyone is country where I come from. Most countries are crybabies. America is loud, England is very, what's the word? Anti-social? And China... Let us not speak of China. Not many countries are fun, but there are some that are fun to play with."
Vanellope raised a skeptic brow at what the Russian told her. "Fun to play with?" She repeated the words, pondering on it a bit. completely unaware to what Ivan was truly referring to. "Oh, you mean like games?" She asked her voice, growing excited with innocence. Blessed to be naive.
