A Slight Victory

[Nella]

(January 27th. Night. Continuing from A Friend In Need. Open to everyone but especially internet characters to welcome Nella back.)

Nella & Tender Heart were teleported in as they looked around in confusion. Tender Heart led Nella into the house. Soon Elisa teleported in joining them.

"Nella! I'm so glad you're alright!" said Elisa.

She ran over to her and hugged her.

Nella smiled hugging her back in return.

"It's good to be back." said Nella.

Linksano, Roses, Stone, Dr. Tease, Marzgurl, Chester, and Ma-Ti all walked in the back door having finished training. They froze seeing Nella, Elisa, and Tender Heart.

"Nella?" asked Dr. Tease.

"It's me. I'm back. Dark Nella and I got split into two people. Chick and the others rescued me." said Dark Nella.

"Where's Nostalgia Chick?" asked Stone.

XXXX

"Still back at the house with the others. I hope they come back soon." said Elisa.

(ooc: having chick show up later as she has to walk back having given her communicator to nella to teleport her away.)

(OCC: Since Spoony is with Chick, he'll come later. Right now I'm going to do only a few charries. Mostly Critic, Splinter and IHeart)

Critic was worried. He wanted to show Chick about Patch but Sherlock couldn't find her and neither could he. Where was that woman? He felt she left and that wasn't good. He then turned to see Nella. His mouth went agape and his mouth went flying "How in the name of sweet God and all people find holy did you get here?!"

"Wait. This rescue attempt.. You mean it happened just now?" Splinter said as he ran inside after training himself. Then he realized Donny wasn't here which meant... Oh God

"Nella! It is a pleasure to meet you but... Do you know where my son is, his name is Donatello" Splinter calmly, but nervously, asked

Oh shell. Splinter now knew. He was so busted. Donny teleported right next to Nella and nervously smiled "Hey sensei" He then backed away slightly as Splinter's gaze turned from worried to angry.

"Do you have any idea what could have become of you?!" Splinter shouted "Donatello! What were you thinking?"

"I was desperate sensei. I'm sorry. Raph and Mikey---" Donny was interupted by a girl's crying.

She felt hopeless. Useless. A monster. A freak. A evil THING. IHeart, with Jesu alongside her, was crying over the fact she tried to kill darkheart. IHeart stopped only to see Critic, Splinter, Linksano, Stone and.... Ma-Ti. Oh god anyone but him. Not him. He didn't deserve her.

"IHeart? Are you ok?" Donny said breaking the silence. Donny's question was answered with a loud sob and a snappy remark "No. I'm not ok. I'm a freak. I don't belong here anymore. I don't deserve to be here" With that she ran upstairs, apoligizing to whoever was there to listen.

Rachel came in breathing horribly and as her green eyes looked and she smiled :"Welcome to Critic 's army , are you one of his friends? I'm Rachel its nice to meet you." Rachel 's sweet voice said as her heart beated too fast and she needed help "I got a burning mark on my chest so can someone help me to clean the wound please?" The spoiled woman asked as a sweet smile came from her lips , Rach was happy to meet Nella

[Marzgurl]

Nella smiled seeing Splinter although saw Donatello was in trouble with Splinter.

"Please dion't be too mad at him. They saved me. I know he cares for his brothers. And they care for you both. Ask That Guy and the others lied to them, Pinocchio, and others to get them to join. Spoony and Chick went after Goggles to get her back. But as for Patch.... He left with Mechakara willingly." said Nella.

Ma-Ti saw Iheart upset running upstairs as he ran after her, excusing himself, although smiling at Nella as he passed. He found Iheart in her room as he walked in.

"Iheart. You're not a monster. You're beautiful, kind, friendly, one of the best people I've ever known. I love you Iheart." said Ma-Ti.

He smiled and pulled her into a hug trying to calm her down.

"Did something happen over there?" asked Ma-Ti.

Chester frowned hating seeing Iheart cry. But Ma-Ti ran after her so he knew he would help her. He turned back to Nella grinning pulling her into a hug.

"I'm so glad you're safe Nella. Chick was so worried about you. We all were. Wait. Does this mean Dark Nella's finally gone?" said Chester.

Chester stepped back annoyed.

Nella shook her head sadly.

"I'm afraid not. Spoony used Ma-Ti's ring on me and we kind of split into two beings." said Nella.

Dr. Tease listened intrigued.

"So the two of you exist at the same time? Fascinating." said Dr. Tease.

She pulled out her notebook and began writing in it.

Linksano nodded.

"It certainly is. But I'm glad you're back Nella." said Linksano.

Stone smiled hugging Nella before stepping back.

"We all are. Welcome back Nella." said Stone.

Roses and Marzgurl both smiled hugging Nella.

"Yes. We're all glad you're back. This is great news." said Roses.

Marzgurl nodded as they both stepped back.

"It certainly is. Finally things are starting to go our way again." said Marzgurl.

Tender Heart smiled glad everyone was glad to see Nella back. Although hew as worried about Spoony, Goggles, and the others and would hope they would make it back safely.

Nella turned to Rachel smiling as she greeted her.

"It's nice to meet you too Rachel. I saw you on the rescue team. Thank you for coming to help me." said Nella.

[IHeart]

Donny felt very bad for the teen girl. According to Elisa, IHeart ran out of pure guilt over seemingly trying to kill an enemy. Donny knew what that felt like, hurting someone when you would prefer to talk things out. Donny was a bit of a pacifist but he knew as a ninja he had to defend himself. The turtle wanted to talk to her but Ma-Ti handled it and the boy had helped her out before. He smiled slightly but then turned to his master.

"Nella's right sensei. I'm really sorry. I wanted to snap them out of it but they really think they're the good guys" Donny replied sadly

Splinter wasn't going to be so easy on donny for leaving but he would let it go for now. Just because the turtle was desperate and learned about his brothers' condition. He turned to Nella and nodded in response. Then splinter commented about the prisoners "Well. We at least succeeding in helping you. We will work to get goggles...." He then pondered about patch being a traitor and the rat couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for the pup. He didn't feel safe so he left. Splinter didn't know the pup well anyway so he couldn't say he was too mad. Splinter replied "Well then. Patch, I am afraid, is no longer a priority and is best to be left"

IHeart turned to see Ma-ti come into her room and she allowed Ma-Ti to hug her but she felt horrible still. She felt worthless. IHeart through her tears listened to his words then responded to his question "DarkHeart... She...I nearly killed her and..." IHeart began sobbing again, giving not a specific answer to what happened

Rachel smiled as Nella greeted her and she said :"Thanks I was glad to help you in the rescue team would you mind to call to 90 's Kid I gotta tell him something." Rachel smiled as her green eyes turned to Nella. The spoiled woman smiled weakly but still she was glad to be with everyone.

(OOC : Can someone bring 90 's Kid into theard ,Rachel is going to tell him something also since Rachel got a burning mark from D.H. attack , I really want that someone can help her with the burning mark if its okay?)

The green orb found its way inside via an open window and hovered near the wall for several seconds, as if unsure of what to do next. When Maleficent at last returned to her natural form, she didn’t join the others in their celebration and comfort. In her current condition, she suspected she would only bring them down and while that thought didn’t bother her, she didn’t particularly feel like dealing with the aftermath. Not after what she had been told.

In the grand scheme of things, Patch’s surprising defection wasn’t very significant. He was only a puppy, after all, unable to fight properly or pose a real threat to anyone larger than him. True, it was displeasing, to say the least, being betrayed by a supposed ally, but overall, the change should have been unimportant.

Why, then, was Maleficent upset?

It wasn’t simply the anger that one of her comrades had turned on her. Though she had known Patch for a brief time, she had allowed herself to grow fond of the little Dalmatian. She had seen much of Diablo (albeit a much younger Diablo) in the puppy and he had seemed comforted by her presence rather than frightened as so many were. The thought now angered Maleficent – what kind of Mistress of All Evil couldn’t put fear into a puppy?

Mechakara’s voice entered her mind now, repeating the robot’s earlier claim that she had gone soft. Before she had denied it on instinct and from pride, but now, watching her allies, Maleficent couldn’t help wondering if there was some truth to the insult. Getting emotional about a dog and playing nice with a princess were certainly two things she had never done in the past – before coming to Chicago, the only time she could remember feeling remorse was when Diablo was turned to stone. Perhaps prolonged exposure to the heroes had begun to affect her mind.

Gripping her staff a little tighter than was necessary, the dark fairy sought to pick her raven out from the crowd. His presence could usually be counted on to calm her. And if he happened to reassure her that she wasn’t losing her touch in the process, well that would just be an added bonus.

Rachel went to the couch and then sat on it and then she sighed without knowing what to do . The spoiled woman 's green eyes looked at everyone.

[Nella]

Nella wasn't sure if she helped much but at least she had tried. She sighed sitting down in a chair exhausted.

"I hope Chick and the others come back soon or Critic's going to be crazier than he is now." thought Nella.

Ma-Ti shook his head as he kept hugging her.

"What's wrong? DarkHeart's a monster. She should be killed and we will get her and the rest of them eventually. We just need to figure out how." said Ma-Ti.

He was confused to why she was upset but he would just hold her until she was ready to talk.

Nella smiled at Rachel.

"Thanks Rachel. I have no idea where 90's Kid is. I didn't even know he was here. Hey any of you know where 90's Kid is?" said Nella, glancing at the group.

Diablo flew out sensing Maleficent was upset as he landed on her shoulder.

"Are you alright Maleficent?" asked Diablo concerned.

He had missed everyone talking about Patch unaware what was going on. Apparently they had a new member Nella so he smiled at her waving a little before turning back to Maleficent.

[Nostalgia Critic]

Critic bit his lip and turned to the others waiting for a answer. Chick wasn't here. Chick wasn't here with him. All hell was very close to breaking soon. He paced and then started to shout again "Anyone have ANY idea where Chick might be?! She's not back yet!"

"It's only been a few minutes" Donny responded, trying to assure Critic

Critic then gave him a nasty death glare and the turtle retreated

IHeart hugged Ma-Ti tightly, for fear of losing him. He was holding her together where she was close to her streaking point. She kept repeating all the things she was saying back in the ask thatguy area. Eventually though she spoke slowly, while still holding onto Ma-Ti "If you were there you'd see how horrible I was. I threatened to kill her in front of the others. The ones on our side"

Rachel smiled back to Nella and the spoiled woman began to wait for 90's Kid to come and to someone that will take care of her wound , Rach just waited and waited that he will see her

[Marzgurl]

Nella shook her head.

"Spoony's gone too. We don't know when either will come back." said Nella.

She paused wondering how she'd find 90's Kid in this place. She turned to Critic.

"Any idea where to find 90's Kid? Rachel's asking about him. And I have no idea where anyone is since I just got here." said Nella.

Ma-Ti kept holding Iheart not sure why she was upset. It must have been something Dark Heart said to her.

"But she's one of the bad guys. Linkara and Spoony are always killing creeps that are trying to kill them. And Critic too although not as much. Wanting her dead, even killing her wouldn't be so bad." said Ma-Ti.

Roses walked over to her and smiled.

"I know how you feel. I'm killed Holli. Sure it was an accident but something I don't think I'll forget. I'm trying to move past it and I don't get nightmares anymore about it. But you've helped kill Mechakara and Dark Heart before. Why are you so upset about it now?" said Roses.

Ma-Ti nodded.

"Yeah. Roses is right. Dark Heart should be destroyed along with Mechakara and Seven. They're robots. They only care about destruction and they won't stop until all of us are dead or enslaved." said Ma-Ti.

"I can go find 90's Kid. Be right back." said Chester.

He slipped away searching for 90's Kid finally finding him upstairs.

"Hey 90's Kid. The others came back from some rescue mission. Rachel's asking for you. I think she's a little hurt." said Chester.

Linksano, Stone, Dr. Tease, and Marzgurl all took seats deciding to wait for Chick and Spoony's return. Nella seeing Chester was going to get 90's Kid took a seat as well.

"I hope they come back soon." said Nella.

Nostalgia Chick was stumbling along in the dark realizing she'd thought she was almost home. She hoped Spoony had gotten away. She was tired and exhausted. But at least they'd saved one of their friends Nella today. She turned hearing footsteps.

"Spoony? Is that you?" asked Chick.

She held her sword tightly and was a bit nervous. The Critic's house was only a couple blocks away but if a villain was here she might not make it there.

[Tony Stark/Iron Man]

"Yeah I'm here. It's alright" Spoony assured. Not long after Spoony came the man in iron himself. Spoony gave Tony a nod before responding to Chick again "Come on. Critic's gonna kill us" Spoony went beside chick and gently pushed her to go on.

Tony meanwhile released his mask and put it aside sarcastically mumbling "Well that could've gone a bit better. At least we got Nella right?"

"Wait what? She is!?" 90's kid panicked and passed the bum in his horror. 90's kid was in the room in nervousness because he was assigned to distract Critic and now that the leader knew, he was afraid. Now that the team was here and rachel was hurt. The young man held Rachel's hand absentmindedly and responded "Babe! You ok?"

Splinter finally noticed Rachel and also went to her to tend the wound she endured. The poor blond lady handled quite a lot of injuries, he was grateful they weren't scars, at least not yet. Splinter turned to 90's kid and responded "It is only a cut, she will be alright"

"I hope so too nella. I'm really worried" Donny commented as the rest of the team waited for the others return. Donny felt bad because of IHeart's depression seeking through as well as his sensei being worried/angry over him.

"They better come back" Critic mumbled "If they're hurt I'm going to ruin Ask thatguy"

"Yeah but I announced that to her face and she took. Every. Last. Word" IHeart objected, not entirely getting the message through her emotions. She turned to Roses who also arrived to help her but as much as her friend and boyfriend being here made her feel safe, she didn't feel she deserved it. She just didn't feel good about herself anymore. IHeart looked to the both of them and responded "I tell everybody I don't want to kill anybody but I told it to DarkHeart and she saw it. All of it"

Rach wait for 90 's Kid to come and then Rachel saw 90 's Kid and she said :"I don't think so , I just got a cut on my chest , like Splinter says it may turn into a scar." Rachel said , holding his hand and the spoiled woman looked into his eyes from her green eyes

There was the lightest of pressures on her shoulder, alerting her to Diablo’s presence. Maleficent turned her head in his direction and despite her anger, the corners of her blood-red lips twitched upwards in a weak smile. He always seemed to be there when she needed it.

“It would appear that Patch has switched sides,” she informed the raven. The faintest trace of sadness had entered her voice and the fairy hurriedly cleared her throat to try and disguise it. “In the long run, I doubt it will prove to hold any significance.”

Maleficent was only just able to hide a wince – even to her own ears, the words sounded forced and hollow. Again, Mechakara’s words echoed around inside her head.

“You’re getting soft, Maleficent.”

Gold eyes narrowed. Her fist uncurled enough to run a finger along Diablo’s spine.

“Diablo,” she began delicately, trying to sound as casual as she could, “I know you haven’t been a part of this for very long, but based on what you’ve seen… have I gone soft?”
