A Daring Escape (Open)

(February 11th. Night. Ace, Queen Grimhilde, & Freckles's escape thread.)

Ace had swiped some keys from one of the guards earlier in the day and now they were trying to make a break for it. She hoped they had time to free everyone before another guard made it's patrol. She turned to Ace who was still hard at work hoping they could get out of here. They'd been stuck here four days and she wanted out. Although she was glad for the company she really wanted to be free.

"Come on Ace. We have to hurry and free all of us before the guard comes back." said Grimhilde.

Nani was now in a cell with Chester and Iheart while Rachel and Lottie were in a cell next to them. She smiled seeing Ace trying to unlock the door. She glanced at Ace, Grihilde, Chester, and Iheart as the four had taken the blows while she, Lottie, and Rachel had remained unscathed so far.

"Yes. Please hurry. We don't know when the next guard will come back or who it will be." said Nani.

She paused turning to Chester.

"The four of you were so brave. Especially you Chester. First risking your life to try to save Iheart from getting caught and then trying to defend all of us from getting hurt. You're a lot braver than you let on." said Nani.

Chester winced in pain as Lord Vyce had done a lot of damage to him still. He was sitting on a bench in the cell between Nani and Iheart at the moment who were both concerned about him. He blushed hearing Nani's praise.

"I was just doing what anyone would have done. I was so scared for everyone else especially Iheart I didn't have time to worry about myself. And I'd do it again." said Chester.

He was surprised he'd actually meant that. This month and a half had changed the bum for the better he realized. Before he'd run from danger or not even gone with them. But now here he was risking his life for his friends and he wouldn't have it any other way.

The first two keys hadn't fit. Ace had sworn violently under her breath as she struggled. She wouldn't have put it past the villains to create a couple of fake keys to fake them out. There were roughly ten keys on the ring, and she was struggling with them "I'm trying, but-Ah!" With a satisfied grunt, the key turned and the door swung open. Ace helped Grimhilde up and moved towards the door.

Queen Grimhilde smiled as Ace helped her up and they were out. They walked across to the other cells ready to open them when footsteps echoed through the hall as she heard a familiar robotic laughter. Seven of Eleven would be their guard. She'd hurt Ace and she would not let her hurt her again.

"The guard's coming. Quick open their doors." said Grimhilde.

Nani paused shaking her head.

"There isn't time. The cells could all have different keys or something. You're both hurt. Go while you still can. Critic and the others will come back for us. I know it." said Nani.

"She's right. Hurry before she gets here. We'll be fine. Go." said Chester.

"But we can't leave you." said Queen Grimhilde.

XXXX

"Wait. There is someone else you can help. Freckles. Dark Heart took her out of here. I don't believe she killed the dog. They tried that with Patch before. Find Freckles and get out of here. Quickly." said Nani.

Grimhilde paused turning to Ace wondering what they should do. Should they go get Freckles and leave or stay and try to free the others and risk them all staying as captives?

[ace]

Ace's face dropped. She wanted to help the others get out, she really did, but at the same time, she didn't want Grimhilde to get caught, and she could save Freckles from that robotic bully. She wrestled with her consience, then sighed "I'm really sorry guys. Chester, I promised I'd get you out, and I meant it." She turned to Grimhilde and sighed "What can we do? Do you know where Freckles is?"

[Freckles]

Grimhilde nodded turning to her.

"They're probably in one of the rooms. Come on. If we go down the other stairs they won't see us." whispered Grimhilde.

She turned putting blankets in piles to make it look they were still in the cell. She took the keys from Ace and locked the cell back up.

"We should take these with us. Critic and the others could them to unlock the cell doors." whispered Grimhilde.

She puts them in her pocket glancing at the four women and Chester.

"We will be back for you." whispered Grimhilde.

She turned and headed down the back stairs slowly knowing Ace would follow. She turned and headed downstairs seeing many rooms not sure where to start until she heard a faint whining. She rushed to a door seeing it coming from an open trunk. She opened it seeing Freckles laying inside. She smiled picking her up.

Freckles smiled seeing it was Grimhilde licking her face and saw Ace as well.

"I thought I'd be stuck here forever. Dark Heart's not bad all the time but she still scares me." whispered Freckles.

Queen Grimhilde takes off the collar tossing it into the bin finding Freckles old one laying on the desk and places it back on. She turns finding a couple laser guns and grins handing one to Ace.

"I'm sure they won't miss these." whispered Grimhilde.

She paused turning to Ace.

"Is the coast clear?" whispered Grimhilde.

[IHeart]

IHeart felt so weak. So tired. So worthless. Dark Nella viciously took a beating on her and she looked like hell because of it. She was lying on the floor way too tired to get up. She tried to once in ended up having the villains laugh at her for it. She turned to chester and saw the bum beaten up, he looked horrible but not as bad as she did. Probably lucky for him. Chester at the moment was his cellmate and she really was glad to have him there. While Nani was back in the cell too, Rachel and Lottie were both by themselves.

Then suddenly Ace and Grimhilde were free! IHeart was aware of the risks so it wasn't entirely a shock that some of them were going to have to wait a bit longer. She didn't really pay attention, mostly because she was in so much pain. She commented hoarsely "Go. Be careful" as the escapees left. She then smirked and replied "There's hope after all isn't there?"

DarkHeart meanwhile was supposed to be patroling the house with Seven and she was but the robotic girl couldn't help but wonder about the prisoners. She turned to Seven after she made a rather crude joke about the humans and was laughing about it. DarkHeart, with a cruel smirk, responded to Seven "Do you think it's best we just simply take a break now? Seems like there is nothing going on now"

Ace grinned at the pup "Don't worry, we're getting out." She then frowned as she poked her head out of the door. "I'm not sure. Wait! I can hear someone coming up the stairs. Shall we run for it, or try to hide?"

[Queen Grimhilde]

Nani smiled glad the others had got away turning to Lottie, Rachel, Chester, and Iheart.

"The room's dark right now. The longer we remain quiet the better chances they'll have of getting away." whispered Nani.

"Alright. I just hope they make it." whispered Chester.

Meanwhile outside stood Ruber patrolling the area. He walked in smiling at them seeing them all trapped and believe Ace and Grimhilde's piles of blankets as the two of them. He chuckled.

"A shame you fools aren't smart like me. I'd have found a way to escape by now." said Ruber.

He chuckled and walked off to patrol the floor again.

Seven chuckled turning to Dark Heart and nodded.

"Perhaps we should go see Mechakara and Patch. Patch has got to be feeling awful seeing some of his former friends and sister captured. And what Freckles said to him I'd hate to be fighting against you or Mechakara. I hope Freckles comes around." said Seven.

Queen Grimhilde paused recognizing the voices.

"It's Seven and Dark Heart. If they find us in here with Freckles they're liable to kill us. We should make a run for it. We're in no condition to fight them even with these weapons we're "borrowing" from them." said Queen Grimhilde.

She turned not seeing Seven and Dark Heart at the moment.

"They must be close by. We should hurry before they show up here. They're liable to come and check on Freckles." said Queen Grimhilde.

She turned and walked silently down the hall carrying Freckles in one hand and the laser gun in the other knowing Ace would be right behind her. Soon they reached the end of the hall as she heard footsteps as she realized Seven and Dark Heart were nearing Dark Heart's room. She saw the stairs motioning Ace to follow. They had to hurry. Once Dark Heart learned Freckles was gone they'd be in real trouble if they weren't out of the house. Queen Grimhilde started to descend the stairs hoping they had a quick way out to the front door.

Ace nodded and, grabbing a gun that had been dropped down behind the cupboard (Part of her theorized that it may have been Holli's gun, but she didn't really care), followed after Grimhilde, looking all around to prepare to shoot the buggers post haste.

[DarkHeart]

"Yes. You go ahead and find patch and mechakara. I will go check on freckles then catch up with you" DarkHeart replied to her sister as she went inside the house. She then noticed something strange. Something amiss if you will. DarkHeart shrugged it off then went inside the room she stayed in with Freckles. She then opened the chest to find nothing. DarkHeart widened her eyes and knew that freckles was supposedly kept in tight thanks to her. Someone must of gotten in which meant..... No.

DarkHeart immediately went to find Ruber and replied to him "Freckles is gone. I think some of the prisoners have escaped" She checked Chester, Nani and IHeart but all three of them were in their cell. Rachel and Lottie were there too. So she checked Ace and Grimhilde's cell and opened the blankets to reveal nothing but pillows. DarkHeart growled to Ruber "Damnit! They're getting away!"

"Oh no" Lottie mumbled to herself. As she experienced the escape she felt really scared it wouldn't work thanks to DarkHeart starting and succeeding in finding out that Ace and Grimhilde were getting away. IHeart was tired so she was half-unaware of what was going on so IHeart was completely still and quiet

"So when we will have the time to espace?" Rachel asked as her her green eyes blinked and as she was next to Lottie hugging her and crying on her shoulder without knowing what to do , the spoiled woman cried and Rach sighed

Nani looked at Rachel and Lottie and shook her head.

"I don't know when we'll escape. But I'm sure Critic and the others are planning a rescue right now. We rescued Chick, Morpheus, and Patch And with Ace and Grimhilde helping them I know they'll help get us out." said Nani.

"Yeah what she said." said Chester, trying to sound hopeful.

Ruber paused hearing Dark Heart as he rushed back into the room seeing the piles of blankets and the two women gone.

"I can't believe it. Most of the other's are sleeping. It'll take forever to wake them up." said Ruber, with annoyance.

Seven heard Dark Heart's shouting as she rushed back seeing her and Ruber and the empty cell. So Grimhilde and Ace had escaped. They were more clever than she expected.

"Come. We must find them before they escape." said Seven.

She rushes out after Ruber knowing they had to hurry.

Freckles remained quiet glancing at Grimhilde and Ace fearfully as they descended the stairs. She heard footsteps and shouting realizing they'd been discovered.

"We have to run!" said Freckles.

Grimhilde nodded rushing down the stairs knowing Ace was right behind her. She paused looking around.

"Where's the front door? They took our communicators from us and we don't have time to look for them." said Grimhilde.

She smiled turning to Ace as she saw the front door. They were home free. She flung the front door open seeing no booby traps that she could see.

"Come on . We have to go now." said Grimhilde.

She turned and ran toward the front door still carrying Freckles in one hand and a laser gun in the other knowing Ace was following her. They had to leave before they were caught.

"Oh well that 's great Nani! I really hope that will plan a rescue and thanks" Rachel exlaimed but still sounded a little nervous and scared. Rachel 's green eyes looked at Nani and then back to Lottie and then Rachel looked above and hoped that Critc and his friends will plan a rescue to them and Rachel nodded as Chester tried to sound hopeful

Ace's smile widened even more as she saw the door. They were home and dry. She then noticed something, the backpack containing some of her explosives was there. She prayed that no one had booby trapped it and grabbed it. Nothing happened, and she ran after Grimhilde "Come on, we're there."

[Queen Grimhilde]

Queen Grimhilde nodded as they kept going seeing the front door and no one was around. She heard footsteps and shouting.

"We have to hurry or they'll all be after us. We can barely fight one or two let alone the entire army in our condition right now." said Queen Grimhilde.

She rushed to the door as fast as she could with her injuries flinging it open as an alarm rang but she didn't care. She grabbed Ace's hand as they took off out of the house and down the street.

Ruber and Seven heard the alarm rushing downstairs in time to see Grimhilde, and the others run out of sight.'

"We could still catch them." said Ruber.

Seven shook her head.

"We'd draw attention to ourselves. Besides Ace and Grimhilde won't be much help to Critic and the others in their condition. But at least we still have Iheart, Chester, Nani, Rachel, Lottie, and Freckles." said Seven.

Ruber nodded.

"You're right. We lost two captives but we still have enough to complete our plans." said Ruber chuckling.

He walked back inside and slammed the door deactivating the alarm.

"I guess I'll go back to guarding the rest of the prisoners. You go tell Dark Heart what happened." said Ruber.

Seven nodded as they both headed upstairs. Seven soon found Dark Heart while Ruber passed her returning to the cells.

"I'm sorry Queen Grimhilde and Ace got away. But at least we still have the other captives and you still have Freckles." said Seven.

She was unaware the duo had escaped with Freckles. Knowing how much her sister cared about the dog she'd have gone after the pair at least to get Freckles back.
