"Huh." That seemed to be the only way Tara was able to respond. She didn't have to have friends to build her up. She just built herself up. Perhaps that was why she was so solitary and cold towards others. It was because she got to spread her wings of independence at such an early age, she didn't really need to rely on anyone to help her out. She'd appreciate it from time to time, but she wanted to do things herself. If you want something done right, do it yourself. It was a motto that Tara lived by religiously. She knew that if she was going to be productive in an army, she needed to be a bit more cooperative towards people instead of pushing them away to do everything herself. "Guess your friends helped you grow as a person."
"Yes they did." Rachel replied to Tara nodding to her a 'yes.' in her head as her brown hair with blonde stripes blew to her side and her green eyes looked at the teen. The spoiled woman just looked at her and blinked , Rach just gave a smile and sighed.
Tara went right back to fidgeting about with her hands, contemplating on how someone could have friends to help them. How could someone not be able to build themselves up? She understood if there was a tragedy, you might need family and friends closer than ever. Tara had to build her mother back up everyday. When she spoke to her friends, they usually talked about who was going into the military first, what they'd eat for lunch, or who was the most attractive in the school. Just little random conversations. She didn't need them to help her out in any way, shape, or form. Tara's aquamarine eyes fluttered to the ground a moment, then back at Rachel.
"So, Rachel, any specific reasons you came out here?" Tara asked, wondering if the older woman had came outside to do something.
"Oh." Tara said, still fiddling about with her hands. She hated how she always seemed to have this anxiety indicator. She wasn't sure how to keep a conversation going with someone older than her that wasn't her mother. Aqua eyes wandered over to the ground once more. She shivered at a cool breeze that drifted past, thankful that she remembered a jacket and a pair of gloves. Alright, so maybe they were fingerless gloves, but they were doing just fine at the moment. She could tough out some cold to think about her life for a moment. That was always a plus, to just think about things. Tara liked being on her own to just think, although she didn't mind Rachel's company at the moment. She just wished she was a bit less socially awkward.
"Just... chilling, then?" Tara glanced back over at Rachel again, figuring the woman's reply would be yes. War was hectic. It could cut someone emotionally like nothing else. It wouldn't surprise her if they'd lost some people already. To be able to just go outside and think about it must have been great.
"Yep." Rachel replied to the boston adolesence girl. Her green eyes blinked as Rach was lost in thoughts and the spoiled woman didn't know what to say , she only flodded her arms and smiled a little.
It looked as if conversation reached a standstill. It was quiet. A bit too quiet, perhaps. Well? You gonna, you know, say something? Tara mentally prompted herself to start up some sort of conversation. That was hard for Tara to do. She rather enjoyed the quiet, though. It gave her a tranquil, peaceful feeling. A feeling that seemed to be the polar opposite of Tara's personality. Maybe that's why she liked being alone. She could be completely different if she wasn't around anyone. Her hands went up to her dog tags, now fiddling with the tags instead of just her hands.
"That's nice, I guess." Tara managed to sputter out after a while. She could tell by her tone that she wasn't as invested in talking as she was earlier.
"Yeah its really nice." Rachel replied to the teen as her green eyes looked at her and the spoiled woman smiled at her and she sighed as Rach hoped for a sign just a simple sign.
(OOC : May 90 's Kid come in you can ask her RPer that Tara can see Rach 's love to 90 's Kid)
Tara sat there, thinking for a moment. What now? The aqua eyed female contemplated on what they could say or do. Her fingers were still jingling her tags. Suddenly, her stomach rumbled. Lunch. She forgot to eat lunch. That was right. Tara had been so lost doing whatever that day that she didn't bother to eat lunch yet. Her bright eyes rolled back in thought. Maybe she found their new activity. "You up for grabbing a burger? I don't know about you, but I'm starving."
Rachel realized that she was hungry too and replied to Tara :"Sure I would like to eat some burgers." Rach replied happily to the botson teenage girl. The spoiled woman was hungry too.
"Awesome. Let's bounce." Tara stood up, stretching her arms upwards. Maybe she could call this woman her friend. Maybe. Tara would just have to wait and see. She brought her arms back down to her sides, motioning Rachel to walk with her as she started heading out on her quest to find a meal. Perhaps she'd finally find another topic to talk about once they got there. ((Aaaand I think that should be it.))
"Yeah let 's do it." Rachel said and walked also she waited to Tara to walk with her as her green eyes looked everywhere to see some resturants with burgers Rach will check it about.
