Ma-Ti listened to her and nodded. He couldn't say no to her. She was one of his closest friends since he got here and a few times he'd wanted more. But he'd always chickened out on asking her not wanting to wreck their friendship and wasn't sure if she'd say yes anyway.
"Alright. I'll stay. I know I couldn't get my ring back on my own. You always know just what to say. You ever thought of being a psychiatrist or a counselor?" asked Ma-Ti.
"Not really no. I just get determined when I care about someone" IHeart replied. Feeling confident that Ma-ti would stay she backed off the begging routine. She then replied "I guess maybe I could become one though" She smirked at that. She always felt that it was a stretch but hey it worked here
"Well you've got me convinced. And I think we're all going to need some cheering up from time to time. I'm glad you came here. I might not have seen you otherwise." said Ma-Ti.
It was true. He doubted Critic would put together any crossovers or anniversaries with reviewers outside of the war right now as he'd be too busy with the war. So unless any reviewers showed up later to join the war he probably wouldn't see them for awhile.
"Well yeah. The others are at home, unaware of this yet" IHeart felt slightly crestfallen. She had a feeling some of them may have never believed her about this. Even Sage being here would've been really interesting to have. Looking to Ma-Ti she smiled and patted his shoulder "Yeah. War depresses you sometimes. You need to be careful you never know when you're on the medical bay or something" Her laugh contained a strong sense of irony
(OCC: Wow the symbolism of IHeart's take on the medical bay is SO sutble! *sarcasm*)
Ma-Ti nodded hoping some of them would come to join the army eventually. Hopefully Roses, Paw, Critic, and the others would help convince them the war was actually happening. He turned to Iheart as she expressed concern about him. He smiled back at her.
"How about we both promise to be careful? I don't want to see you on a table in the medical bay either. And we can train under Master Splinter. I'm sure he'd make us great fighters in no time." said Ma-Ti, trying to stay positive.
"Yeah! We can do that. We've gotten plenty of resources. We should be fine" IHeart too was trying to be positive. She wanted to be just as ok with this as she could. She shivered at the mention of being injured. She couldn't bare the thought of herself getting hurt. She promised to herself she'd try not to act so stupid
"We could also ask Linksano for any sources on science. He's good with that" She also commented
"Yeah. Maybe he can give me a strong weapon to protect myself with. I got to get my ring back before they find out a way to use it. That hidden power it has sure packs a punch. I wonder why I could never do that in my world. Gaia certainly never told me it could do that. And Captain Planet never packed that much power when he fought." said Ma-Ti.
(ooc: I'm figuring the power boost only works in this universe. Like Aion created rings similar to Gaia's and Ma-Ti could be channeling Aion's power through his own ring somehow.)
"Sure! Linksano can probably do that" IHeart replied but then the subject of finding the ring was indeed on the young girl's mind. She patted Ma-Ti and smiled "Don't worry. We'll get that ring back. I promise" IHeart hoped her words would reassure him
Ma-Ti smiled grateful she was here. He knew they'd get his ring back along with their misisng friends. He just worried what they could do if they figured out who to use the ring's power. Although it puzzled him how he gained that power. There were some inconsistencies. Ma-Ti turned to Iheart a bit confused.
"Something doesn't add up. Aeon fought Malachite centuries ago with his ring. And my ring was from my world and it only gave me telepathy. How did I end up with Aeon's power? Maybe Linksano might know something." said Ma-Ti.
