They Can't Save You

[Mechakara]

Mechakara nodded as they kept walking.

"You're a smart dog Patch. You've already accepted this is your home. With time it will feel like home. And I let you live because I wanted you as my pet. Simple as that." said Mechakara.

He smiled and then scanned the area as they walked as his eyes turned red. There was still no sign of Critic or any of his allies. He wouldn't put it past them to try to attack the house at any time. He'd have to be prepared when walking Patch just in case. His eyes turned to normal sensing no threat for now. They kept walking around the backyard.

Dark Nella nodded. She then chuckled turning to Ask That Guy.

"I wonder how Morpheus is handling the news that Chick and Patch are now gone." whispered Dark Nella.

Chick frowned at Ask That Guy. He creeped her out. She couldn't believe she actually liked his videos. She turned away not wanting to pay attention to the group of villains. She glanced at the ceiling counting the tiles out of boredom.

"Perfect. Oh we should add something to the intro to really send home the message Chick and Patch are dead. I'd love to use the "Seven Days" line from The Ring just to drive them crazy." said Dr. Smith chuckling.

[Patch]

"Oh it'll be hilarious. We have to record that in. It'll probably scare the shit out of them" Ask Thatguy chuckled. He then turned to Dark Nella and nodded going closer to her for slightly personal reasons "Not well. I heard his screaming when I was on my way here"

Dr. Insano replied to Dr. Smith "I almost finished the editing. Get ready to get a empty video tape for me"

Patch said no more nodding only in understanding. He would indeed feel this place as home, just as long as he didn't disobey. He hoped he wouldn't forget them and hoped he'd do them precisely right. He never knew if mechakara would keep his word in letting him live. He gave his doggy smile and let out a tiny yip in agreement. He followed mechakara a bit faster so he could keep up.

[Mechakara]

Dark Nella left returning with a video tape.

"Wait. We should add the intro and ending to it before we put it on video. We can film it on another camera and edit them together. They think they're so cool reviewing films. Well this is one film they'll wish they never saw." said Dark Nella, chuckling.

"Then let's start filming our parts." said Dr. Smith.

He picked up a second camera and set it on the table to film them.

"Seven Days. You're going to die in seven days." said Dr. Smith.

Chick watched horrified as she realized they were sending a tape of Morpheus and Patch's deaths to them. What if they told them she was dead too?

Mechakara nodded as they kept walking. He smiled as they kept walking around. He was glad the dog was obedient and grateful at the same time. It made him easier to handle than forcing him to do everything.

[Patch]

Ask Thatguy nodded smiling and went to the second camera "Oh just joking. You're not going to die but we have specific things about our prisoners to show you. Dr. Smith would you care to show them our prisoners progress?" Dr. Insano stood behind the camera smiling like a fool. The two villains were more than ready to fool the heroes.

[Dr. Zachary Smith]

Dr. Smith nodded glancing at the camera.

"Yes. I do hope you enjoy this wonderful video. We had a lot of fun making it." said Dr. Smith.

He then pressed a button in front of him as the screen.

"We'll put this part in the video after they take Patch and Chick away out of the room since we don't have their deaths on film." said Dr. Smith.

He paused a moment before continuing.

"We, unfortunately, didn't film the next parts with them. But we kept them around for too long anyway. You see Mechakara killed the dog and Dark Nella killed Chick. But the best part is what happens next." said Dr. Smith chuckling.

Chick just watched horrified as the scenes kept getting worse and worse.

Dark Nella in the meantime waved her hand conjuring a stone replica of Nostalgia Chick behind Ask That Guy and Dr. Smith. Her face looked like she lost the will to live which would only increase the horror Critic and the other would have.

"Now for the finishing touch. We have to kill Nostalgia Chick." said Dark Nella.

Dr. Smith nodded as he continued.

"I hope you enjoyed this recording. I had a lot of fun making it. I bet you're wondering what became of poor Nostalgia Chick." said Dr. Smith.

He stepped aside as Nostalgia Chick stood behind him only she'd been turned into a statue in a defeated look.

Dark Nella stepped forward.

"I turned her to stone. Now I'm finally rid of her forever." said Dark Nella.

She smiled and shoved the statue over which shattered into pieces on the ground.

[Patch]

Patch looked up as he and Mechakara walked and he replied softly "Since we're alone can I ask you a specific question. I want you to be honest. You don't even have to answer it" Patch awaited for mechakara's response to him

Ask thatguy held onto his laughter. He then turned to Insano who was still filming the whole thing. After Dark Nella finished crashing the fake chick stone statue, he turned and replied "Come into battle and see what if you really are bold enough, or surrender and simply avoid the fate of the prisoners"

[Mechakara]

Mechakara heard Patch's question with a frown. He wanted an honest answer from him? From a villain? He turned to Patch curious what the question was. If he chose not to answer that was his choice after all like Patch had said.

"Of course. What do you want to ask me?" asked Mechakara.

Dark Nella chuckled as they finished the tape.

"Insano you edit that in and make sure to take out anything unnecessary. I want that to look like it was real so they don't think we're pulling a fast one on them." said Dark Nella.

"This is going to be great. A shame we can't see their reaction to our video. I'm sure it would be priceless." said Dr. Smith, chuckling.

[Patch]

Patch breathed. He was nervous about this question. He hoped mechakara wouldn't take it so badly. He then spoke "Why do want to kill organic life? Well not me of course you want me as a pet. But what about the others? What makes you want to kill them so much?" Patch then held his tail back slightly hoping the robot would simply answer or not.

"Sure. I'll make sure of that" Insano giggled before going to the computer finishing the rest. He then laughed to Dr. Smith "They'll be shaking in fear. I only hope spoony is there. He'll be pissed off as well" Ask Thatguy laughed along with Insano in agreement

[Mechakara]

Mechakara turned to the dog clenching his fist.

"Humans are weak and useless. Robots like myself are superior and strong. We should be the dominant species and ruling this planet. My plan is to wipe out humanity but that has slightly changed now that I'm in this army. I may have to settle for ruling over them. But I'd be fine with that." said Mechakara.

"On top of losing Goggles this should drive him crazy along with the rest of them." said Dark Nella, chuckling.

Dr. Smith chuckled glancing back at Nostalgia Chick and back at the video.

"And all along their three friends remain our prisoners. The fools will mourn friends who aren't really dead. A shame we can't film that." said Dr. Smith.

[Patch]

"Makes a great snuff film without the snuff" Ask Thatguy responded coldly. Insano nodded then responded "Alright. The editing is almost done. Just need one last detail"

Patch nodded, having his question answered. He was not comfortable about that idea at all but the answer was given and he would accept it. Patch walked a bit more but responded with "Oh. Ruling over people with a iron fist? Are you sure that's what you wanna do sir?"

"What else do you need?" asked Dr. Smith curious.

Chick just turned away trying to tune them out. She hoped Critic and the others didn't believe the tape and came for her. But it looked so real. If she hadn't known it was fake she might have believed it as well.

"Yes. The humans of this world are always fighting each other anyway. I can bring peace to the world by making them all serve us. In a way I'll be doing them all a favor." said Mechakara.

Patch looked down to the ground. He then replied "OK. I was just wondering" Patch was actually just curious. Well hey, if he was going to be his pet he might as well know some things about mechakara. After all his new home setting was this now

"What else? Close-ups! Morpheus' punches equal hilarity for us" Insano responded, adding the final said detail

"It's alright. I'm after humanity. I have nothing personally against animals. I may even get more pets. Make a collection." said Mechakara.

Dr. Smith chuckled.

"That's brilliant. Perhaps add a closeup of Chick's face as the statue to real send the message home." said Dr. Smith.

[Patch]

"Wait. A collection. What's that?" Patch asked, seriously curious. He never heard of a collection and since he's walking he found it kinda nice to not be silent. He looked up to see that if he didn't have that robotic/human voice, he'd probably be easily mistaken as linkara. That and the glow of rage he had within him

Insano replied grabbing the tape and shouting to the other three "Finished! Mr Ask thatguy if you would do the honors of grabbing a box, we'll send this to the heroes"

Ask Thatguy nodded and replied "Of course. Anything to terminate NC's soul is a good thing in my book. Be right back" He then went to get a packaging box

"You know a group of things or in this case animals. I think I'd really enjoy a collection of animals as my pets." said Mechakara.

"This is perfect. It won't be long now until we have an entire room screaming and crying. They probably won't even show up at the battle tomorrow." said Dr. Smith, chuckling.

Dark Nella chuckled glancing over at Chick.

"No one's going to come save you because soon they'll all think you're dead." said Dark Nella, chuckling.
