They Can't Save You

[Patch]

Morpheus cried out in complete rage. These people didn't care who died so long as they won. The minute he cried out, BLS felt the obligation to release him now. Morpheus fell to the floor and was on his knees and simply covering himself up. He couldn't believe it. They killed Patch. He was too young. They killed him because of that, a young hero was of no use to them. Even a young puppy. It was too much for him. He just mumbled "It can't be. He can't be dead"

Terl looked to Rita and replied very quietly "This is the best thing I've seen in years" Terl then took some more popcorn and looked to Mechakara in complete amusement. He really was enjoying the fact Mechakara was laughing, it was pretty fun to watch. Maybe mechakara should've done it more often

Patch meanwhile was still stuck. Waiting for the news. Waiting for the nightmare to end. Waiting for mechakara to return

[Mechakara]

Mechakara watched bored now.

"I didn't realize you'd break that easily. Crying over a dead dog. You're not a great warrior. You're just pathetic." said Mechakara.

He turned and walked away walking back through the invisible sound barrier into the next room where Patch was. He smiled walking over to him..

"Morpheus is dead. But don't shed any tears for him. He's gone to a better place now. And to think he died trying to protect you. If you'd only stayed home he'd still be alive. A pity." said Mechakara.

(ooc: If you want I can change this. Just figured it would be something Mechakara would say to him.)

Meanwhile downstairs Dark Nella dragged Nostalgia Chick into a room. It was a replica of Nostalgia Chick's kitchen. Dark Nella just smirked and tossed her into the fridge.

"I think you need too cool off for awhile. I'll be back to check on you later." said Dark Nella.

She smirked and walked out laughing.

Back upstairs Rita nodded to Terl. She watched as Mechakara finished his speech and left.

"I never thought I'd be agreeing with a robot but he's right. Cheer up. You still have one worthless friend to save here. That is if Dark Nella didn't kill her too." said Rita chuckling.

Malachite sighed standing up. He walked up to Morpheus kicking him in the stomach in an attempt to shut him up.

"Stop crying. Be a man. It wasn't even your dog. It's not like we killed your girlfriend." said Malachite.

[Patch]

Morpheus felt the scorn and lack of empathy and immediately shut up. They were in a way right, now was not the time to cry, he had to stay alive. Now that he knew Patch was dead, he would avenge the dog by keep fighting on. He stopped crying even before Malachite kicked him but he didn't say anything because he knew it wasn't the end for the dog. It only kept him away from the bastards who killed him. Morpheus only stared in complete silence though, just because he stopped crying didn't mean they didn't break him. He just laid on his side due to the kick and still having BLS's poundings still hurting.

Terl saw Mechakara left and had a feeling the robot was lying. He turned to Rita with a grin that just screamed "I don't think the dog's dead but let's play it out anyway". Terl then frowned to Morpheus, looking at the human with disgust "Pity? Over a dog that wasn't even yours? How sensitive are you? And the critic called me pathetic! Shows how poor the humans taste is"

Black Lantern Spoony though thought the pain and misery of morpheus was hilarious. "No! No! Let him cry! It's gold! I want to see him understand we mean business" Then he laughed coldly, and with no version of mercy. He laughed so hard he held his sides and just banged the wall "O-Oh god. Over a fucking DOG. Too much man! Too much!" BLS laughed some more

Patch's eyes widened in sheer horror. The dog couldn't believe, they told Morpheus that he was dead and killed him with that lie in his head. Patch didn't cry but whined loudly. He was alone now, for he believed Nella left to kill Chick too. Patch pulled the leash and said with a almost robotic depressed tone of voice. He also looked with a look of sorrow, of submission, of complete obediance

"Sir. Can you please untie me?"

[Mechakara]

Mechakara simply nodded untying the leash from the wall and setting Patch on the ground. He still kept a firm hold on the leash.

"Don't bother trying to escape. My other colleagues won't be as patient as I am. After all they've killed your poor friends. I'd have killed them the first we brought them here but they wanted to torture them and your pals a bit." said Mechakara.

He smirked looking down at the puppy as his eyes glowed red for a moment.

"Come. I'll show you to your new room." said Mechakara.

He pressed a button on his arm as they both teleported away into another room. The room was filled with computers and other electronic devices. Mechakara opened a closet which was empty aside from a pile of old blankets made into a makeshift bed.

"I don't require sleep but you do. This shall be your room." said Mechakara.

Back at the jail cell Dr. Smith watched interested.

"You were held here a few days, and beaten. And only losing a dog makes you snap. Quite interesting. So glad I'm recording this. It's something i think we'll want to remember." said Dr. Smith.

Malachite turned glaring at Dr. Smith.

"What do you think of the 21st century, Dr. Smith?" said Malachite.

"Oh well modern 21st century is very dull. But late 21st Century or at least where I'm from there's a lot more technology. Space travel, weapons. It's great." said Dr. Smith.

Malachite raises his hand angry.

"Oh knock it off Malachite. You're just jealous you lost the duel to Aeon. I lost to Zordon and you don't see me complaining." said Rita.

"Much." she whispered.

Malachite sighs sitting back down, trying to ignore Dr. Smith.

[Patch]

Morpheus didn't listen. He only allowed them to talk. He didn't even flinch when BLS pushed him down and spat at him. Morpheus only stared out, only saying nothing. He failed. He failed Patch, a close ally. He failed. That was all he could think of. That he was a failure

Terl turned to Malachite and asked "I thought this world was in a past period of time. 21st century" He scoffed at that "Surely not!" He then chuckled amused as Morpheus was completely silent. Terl looked at him curiously "I suppose the man gotten indeed quite attached. Perhaps despite it not being his he still cared for it.... Which makes his reaction so more entertaining!"

Patch grimanced as Mechakara's eyes glowed. He hated it so much but if he said anything, he was afraid he would be punished. Mechakara's hand was firm but Patch understood why, because the poor pup seriously considered running but he knew it would've been foolish. He only nodded "Yes sir" And allowed the both of them to transport to a closet, with blankets made into a doggy bed

Admittedly, Patch seriously thought mechakara was not this merciful. He honestly thought he'd be chained and gagged, forced into a dirty cell with the robot using a whip. No though, he was not only spared but was given a private room. It still didn't make patch like or be willing as a pet, he felt violated and ashamed, he was forced as a villain's pet. That was more humiliating.

Regardless he looked up and replied "I-I don't know what else to say but thank you, sir. I honestly didn't think I was going to receive a room"

[Mechakara]

"I can't have you dying on me or not getting enough sleep. After all you're my pet now." said Mechakara.

Mechakara smirked walking in replacing the leash with a chain attached to the wall so Patch could walk around the closet but not leave it. He quickly left returning with some generic dog food and a bowl of water.

"It's not what you're used to but it'll have to do. I'm sure you must be hungry by now." said Mechakara.

He set them down next to Patch in the closet so he could eat when he wanted to. He still left the door open for the moment. But if he got bored or annoyed with the dog he could always close the door leaving the dog in total darkness.

Rita yawned glancing at the door waving her magic to closing it and silently chanting a spell to soundproof the room.

"There. Now no one outside the room can hear us. I think those turtles were out training or something but I'd rather them not come in and think we were being too hard on him." said Rita cackling.

Dr. Smith nodded and kept filming from his device. This would a very interesting movie he could edit together.

Malachite just watched amused.

"I wonder how you so called friends will react to learning Nostalgia Chick and Patch died and you failed to stop it. I'd love to see the look on Critic's face when he finds out." said Malachite.

[Patch]

Morpheus felt the scorn. God damn the scorn of these villains. He would avenge his friends. He was scared but he would not allow them to know that much. He looked up to BLS who closed the cage door and just stared at him with a smirk "What now tough guy? Wanna come up and try again?" BLS snapped. Morpheus did try to stand but he groaned a bit as his wounds took their tole on him. He sat down to just end the pain

"Ah yes. Poor poor critic. He's probably pissed his lover is speechless" Terl had his turn of laughter before turning to Dr. Smith and replying with a sense of jokey humor "Make sure to edit it nice with some cg blood. It'll get critic's attention that way"

BLS couldn't help but wonder where mechakara was now, without a doubt just bored and wanting to think over more plans. BLS just laughed at morpheus "God! Thank you guys. Man that felt good"

Patch nodded and looked to the food bowl and water bowl. He nodded gratefully to mechakara before calmly eating some of the good food presented for him. He swallowed the food and realized that his situation shouldn't be taken for grantite so he continued eating. It was minor type of food but it was the best he was going to get so he was going to take advantage of it

[Mechakara]

"Oh I'll make sure it's a masterpiece by the time he gets it." said Dr. Smith.

He paused glancing at Morpheus in the cage.

"You know who they came for right? Nostalgia Chick. She's their friend. They've known each other for years. And Patch he was just a puppy. He shouldn't have been here. But you. You're supposed to be the great hero. Why would Critic come to save you when you couldn't save them?" said Dr. Smith.

Smith smiled before turning back to face the villains.

"Well this has been fun but I've got a film to edit. See you all later." said Dr. Smith.

He walked off heading off to his lab to show Dr. Insano.

Rita glanced at Morpheus before turning to Terl, Black Lantern Spoony, and Malachite.

"You want to find out what she did to Chick? I'm sure it was just awful." said Rita.

"Yes. I'm sure it was. Perhaps we should leave him alone for now with his unhappy thoughts." said Malachite.

Mechakara looked at Patch and smiled glad the dog was eating. It had been a good move to keep him as a pet after all. If only he could be a fly on the wall when Smith send them the video tape of Morpheus's beating and learning Chick & Patch were "dead". It would drive them crazy. He made sure Patch couldn't see the screen as he walked over to the computer and began making up a list.

To Kill or Capture:

• Linkara- big collection of weaponry & gadgets, owns Neutro & Comicron-1.
  
• Spoony- big collection of weaponry & gadgets, former host of Dr. Insano.
  
• Splinter- Army's trainer, expert fighter
  
• Maleficent- sorceress who could turn into a dragon; traitor.
  
• Linksano- evil scientist; expert at making weapons & gadgets; traitor.
  
• Queen Grimhilde- expert potions maker and traitor.
  
• Snob- Critic's second in command.
  
• Critic- leader of the army.
  
• Morpheus- While in our custody if he escapes he should be dealt with being a strong fighter. Plus he may want revenge for his time in captivity making him more dangerous.

Mechakara scanned the list deciding they were the best to get rid of. If they'd gotten newer recruits they needed to eliminate they could do that as well. He saved the file sending a copy to Ask That Guy, Dark Nella, and Dr. Insano since they were the leaders. He was sure they'd send the message to the rest of the troops. They had to kill or capture as many people on this list as they could to weaken Critic's army so they could finish them off.

Nostalgia Chick pounded on the fridge door finally shoving it open. She stepped quietly out of the fridge. She closed it as she made her way to a replica of her living room.

"Why did she just duplicate my entire house? thought Nostalgia Chick.

She walked out only to find a tv playing live the footage from the cell. She watched in horror seeing Morpheus lying on the ground beaten with the villains mocking him. He was in no condition to help her escape. She needed to get out of here. She hated leaving Morpheus and Patch here but she'd be back with help. She ran to the door flinging it open only to walk right into a laboratory. Dr. Insano and Dark Nella were there as Dr. Smith rushed into the room.

"It was just a game to them. That must be like an illusion or something." thought Chick.

"Ooh so Chick's still alive. Well the dog and Morpheus are dead. So what do you want to do with her?" said Dr. Smith.

"I'll think of something. You know without her voice she's less annoying and almost bearable. I wish I'd thought to mute your sooner." said Dark Nella.

Chick glared at her unable to do much else. A tear went down her cheek though at the mention of Morpheus and Patch being dead.

"I failed you Nella. And them. I'm so sorry." thought Chick.

[Patch]

"Bah. I'm staying right here and taking Morpheus' pain ALL IN" BLS replied sneering happily at Morpheus who was too tired to defend himself. Morpheus was in complete agony now but refused to pass out he would not let them see him like that. Not ever. BLS just laughed harder "Wow. I was too much for you? Good!"

Dr. Insano meanwhile was working on a invention when Dr. Smith came in to see him. "Ah. Dr! What a pleasent greeting. I see you have something for me" Insano noticed a small recording device and he smirked "What is it?" Then dark nella and even Chick arrived. Chick's arrivial made the crazy man giggle "So? A little mouse couldn't find the right exit? Real pity"

Ask thatguy at the same time entered. He sneered to Chick and replied to Dark Nella "Do we really need her anymore? I say kill her" He then saw a recording of Dr. Smith's and was curious, then he saw on his IPhone a file of the list of important people but kept it completely private. Insano had the same thing but got it slightly quicker than Ask Thatguy did

Patch almost finished eating when Mechakara left him for a while. Patch tried to see what was going on but then felt the chain warn him by tugging at his neck. Patch immediately fell back and finished eating. Awaiting whatever mechakara wanted

[Dark Nella/Nella Black]

Chick only glared with her hands still tied. She wouldn't be able to outrun the four villains anyway.

Dark Nella smirked.

"A simple illusion spell had you running around in circles. You wouldn't have found the way out anyway." said Dark Nella.

She turned seeing Ask That Guy and Dr. Smith arrive. Her iphone chirped as she got a message from Linkara. She nodded agreeing with the list. Mechakara was indeed very through.

Dr. Smith turned leaning over to the three villains so Chick wouldn't hear.

"Mechakara has patch and Black Lantern Spoony's pretty much beaten up Morpheus really bad. The guy blames himself for their unfortunate deaths. We just need to place her somewhere. If they foolishly come to rescue if we keep them separated it'll take them longer to rescue all three of them just as you planned." whispered Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith chuckles before continuing.

"I recorded most of it. Once we edit this and send it off to Critic he'll think Patch and Chick are dead and Morpheus is barely hanging on. It should drive them crazy." said Dr. Smith chuckling.

(ooc: Figured one or all 3 of them would have made up the plan after Mechakara asked to have Patch as a pet. Just to torture all 3 of them and to slow down future rescue attempts.)

Mechakara smiled closing his laptop and laughed. He doubted Linkara would go down easily but while the others on the list were being targeted he could easily focus on Linkara and the rest of his pitiful gang. He heard the chain rattle as he saw Patch try to move before going back to eating. He smiled glad the dog was learing to not be curious and be more obedient. Perhaps training him would be easier than he thought. He walked over to the closet door.

"Glad to see you have a healthy appetite." said Mechakara.

He laughed and crouched down so he'd be closer to the dog.

"Now for some ground rules. 1. You don't talk unless we're alone. 2. I don't want to hear about your life before i captured you. Not your life on the farm, believing in that stupid dog Thunderbolt, or your time in the Critic's house. You're my dog now and your time before that is meaningless to me. After all they now think you're dead so no point in bringing up the past. 3. You will obey my commands and treat me with respect. 4. You will also treat the other members of the army with respect. You're one of us now after all. 5. Do not try to escape. This is your home. Don't forget it." said Mechakara.

He paused before continuing.

"If you break a rule then you'll be punished. And each time your punishment will be worst than the last one. Remember I can be your best friend or your worst enemy." said Mechakara.

(ooc: i can edit if you want me to add/change some of the rules. I just figured he'd set things off right at the start.)

[Ask Thatguy]

(OCC: No worries. These rules are fine. Mechakara's a dude who's business so it'll be in character for him to start quickly. Also, yes it's perfectly fine to have them already plan out for them to be seperated. Besides, the next attempt although successful I want to be hard on the heroes so they'll know their enemies mean business)

Patch if he was a human, would've had his skin pale up in the light of these rules. Well, he was mechakara's now and whatever he said was what Patch had to keep in mind for. He admittedly was a bit shaken at the fact he was only permitted to speak with Mechakara, whenever he and his master were alone. Patch was pretty used to not speaking to his parent's pets due to them not understanding so these rules sounded very constrictive but easy to accomplish. Patch as respectfully as he could muster, nodded obediantly, believing mechakara would give him a signal or something to speak.

He really had a poor feeling about being like this though. It was so humiliating to be alone and without any friends. This was somewhat perilistic for him and he couldn't bare the still thought of leaving behind his friends. Patch though feared mechakara entirely and if he even dared to defy, he knew the so-called punishements would not be good on his part

The Critic will probably come anyway in revenge in case he does believe us so we'll have to keep ready regardless" Ask Thatguy then smirked to Chick glaring at him "Aw what's wrong are we bothering you enough to make you mad? You should've known you were meant for enternal hell when you dare enter this place"

Dr. Insano checked the list one last time before nodding and putting it right back in his lab coat. Insano then turned to see Ask Thatguy say critic whether the tape convinced him or not would get cocky and attack, to which the goggled scientist was admittedly annoyed with critic for his stubborness

[Dark Nella/Nella Black]

Mechakara smiled glad Patch was so accepting of his rules. He hadn't expecting him to obey so quickly. But this would be even better. Now he wouldn't have to worry about him escaping.

"Very good. You're obedient. I like that. You follow my rules and we won't have any problems." said Mechakara.

He smiled petting the dog again. The dog looked like he wanted to say something.

"You may speak if you like. Do you have something on your mind?" said Mechakara.

"Good. I think I'll edit this quickly and send it out to him. I'm sure he'll enjoy this very much. But just in case Insano and I can install extra security here and we can use increase our guards now that we have more members." said Dr. Smith chuckling.

"Then do it. I want that sent to them as soon as possible. As for Chick do you have something you can put her in here? If they figure out they're alive we should keep them separated. That way they can't possibly rescue all of them in time." said Dark Nella.

Nostalgia Chick stopped glaring knowing it was't getting her anywhere. She just sat down on the floor realizing she wasn't going anywhere. She was stuck here probably for awhile.

"Critic please hurry. Or I might join Patch and Morpheus." thought Chick.

[Dr. Insano]

Patch allowed Mechakara to pet him. He looked up at him like a pet would. He was in a new home with new rules. He had to accept it now. He was mechakara's and there was nothing he could do about it. Patch then indeed spoke "Thank you for allowing me to live. I'll do the best I can to please you"

Dr. Insano giggled "We shall hurry the editing up! Come along smith! Let's get this started. Oh critic will be so shocked" Insano then went over to help smith edit and mail the tape right to Critic's door

Ask Thatguy nodded "Good. Very good" Then he saw Chick again glaring at him. To set her off he smiled at her with a very dirty look "I recall I look just like Critic. I feel you had the hots for him. Shame he can't be here alongside you. I bet he's kicking himself after getting his ass kicked"

[Mechakara]

Mechakara nodded glad the dog was accepting his rules.

"You're welcome Patch. You amuse me and you might prove useful down the line. Everything usually does." said Mechakara.

When he heard Patch say he'd do what he could to please him Mechakara nodded.

"Excellent. I'm glad to hear that. Keep that attitude and you'll live a long life here." said Mechakara.

Smith nodded as he began editing it. He turned to Dark Nella pressing a button on the console as a cage appeared around Chick.

"There. That should hold her for now. We can make something better later." Said Smith.

He resumed working on the video with Insano.

Nostalgia Chick nearly jumped as the cage appeared around her. Any chance she had of escaping now was gone. She hoped Critic and the others came soon. All she had to do was wait. She glared at Ask That Guy. He did look like Critic. But he also looked like Chester, Zod, and Dominic. She just had accepted long ago Critic, Spoony, and Linkara all had doppelgangers who looked like them.

Dark Nella smiled impressed with the cage. As Smith and Insano kept working on the video she smiled.

"It's only a matter of time. I think Critic will show up in a rage here. But he snapped in Kickassia after all. Maybe he'll snap again and be easier to deal with." said DarK Nella.

[Patch]

"I intend to keep my attitude to please you sir. I have to accept this is my home now and you are my master. I can't thank you enough for allowing me the pleasure to live" Patch replied, feeling slightly relieved he said that. For some reason the moment the rules, the closet and the new convincing tone of mechakara was on the rise Patch was going to try and be used to the fact he no longer was a hero but a pet to the villains. He hated it sure but he would not say so, he only wanted to make his new master happy.

Ask Thatguy laughed as Chick glared "You amuse me, Nostalgia Chick. I can see why Critic likes you" Then he turned to Dark Nella and shrugged "Either way it'll anger him to the point of our amusement. It'll be great"
