A Nightmare and Promise

[IHeart]

IHeart looked up, sorrowful, about Goggles. She wanted, despite it all, to comfort Ma-Ti but he really didn't look like he was going to be comforted. It was indeed terrible. IHeart was close to Spoony and from her experience could tell how happy he was when goggles was around. Indeed, Spoony had constantly laughed and hugged Goggles telling her how much he meant to her. Now they were seperated again. IHeart felt that pain and didn't know what to say.

She simply rubbed Ma-Ti's back trying in vain. She had tears swelling in her eyes though.

[Ma-Ti]

Ma-Ti sighed glancing at the ground.

"Now they got five of our friends. Nella, Goggles, Nostalgia Chick, Patch, and Morpheus. How many more of our friends are going to hurt, brainwashed, captured, or..."

He trailed off unable to finish the sentence.

"I've always known Ask That Guy was a bit crazy and perverted. But I never realized he'd go this far. I guess he's more insane than I realized." said Ma-Ti.

He turned to Iheart.

"We should let the others know. I wouldn't want any of them to run into her on the battlefield and be caught off guard." said Ma-Ti.

IHeart nodded. They needed to know. She stood up and walked to find Spoony first. Out of all the people, he was the one to be let known first. Feeling Ma-Ti was following her, she eventually found him looking on the computer.

"Uh... Hi spoony" IHeart said shyly

"IHeart! Buddy! You're awake. Good to see you doing well" Spoony said joyfully giving the girl a hug before smiling kindly to Ma-Ti. It made IHeart feel sick though, poor spoony's joy was going to be quickly shattered. IHeart breathed "Spoony. There's something we need to tell you. About goggles"

Elsewhere Snob came downstairs without critic who was still sleeping. Snob yawned and saw spoony talking with Ma-Ti and IHeart and he just stood to listen.

"Wait! Goggles! You found a lead on her!" Spoony said excitedly. Oh god was this so torturing for IHeart to see spoony excited. She nodded and bit her lip sadly having tears swell again. Spoony calmed down and frowned shocked at her reaction. He looked to her and said "Hey. You ok buddy? What's the matter?" He then quickly and the shock on his face was very obvious "You found goggles.... But it's not a good thing. Is it?"

[Ma-Ti]

Ma-Ti followed her to find Spoony. He saw Snob had joined them as he smiled weakly.

"No it's not. I've remembered everything and..."

Marzgurl and Roses walked in next.

"That's great news. We're glad you have your memory back." said Marzgurl.

Ma-Ti turned seeing Marzgurl and Roses arrive. He nodded.

"Yes. I am too but it's how I got my memories back that's the problem." said Ma-Ti.

"What do you mean?" asked Roses curious.

Ma-Ti sighed before looking at the girls, Snob, and finally Spoony.

"I got lost last night and a man showed me how to get home. He gave me a ring saying Goggles was in danger. And if I gave it to her it'd restore my memories and keep her safe. I believed him. But the ring was the danger. When she put it on she began to glow purple and that's the last thing I saw before I got knocked into the porch. When I woke up this morning I checked it out online and it's a Violet Lantern Ring. Goggles has become a Star Sapphire." said Ma-Ti.

[Spoony]

IHeart nodded standing back to allow Spoony some room. She closed her eyes in sheer sorrow. She couldn't bare it anymore than she had to. Goggles was a star saphirre and there was nothing they could do about it at the moment. She continued quickly "She's been controled to stick by the villains.... and black lantern spoony. We're sorry guys. We're sorry spoony" She then covered her face

"It can't be. Impossible. A magician got to you? That son of a bitch must of been paid or was on the villains side no doubt" Snob said both shocked and angry. He wasn't angry at the two teens but about the news he had just received

Spoony's reactions were sad to see. He first was frozen in shock, mouth agape like a fish, then he was scared, as seen when he looked to the window as if a monster just arose, then he was angry as he snarled and cursed many poor choices of words about going to kill BLS and that if he did anything funny to goggles that'd he cut a said part of the body, finally he was heartbroken. He covered his face and let out a peep in complete sorrow over his newly found beloved. He looked to IHeart and Ma-ti and replied to the group "I'll be right back. I need to think this over" With that he quickly walked out to the back porch and very loudly slammed the door, and they even heard him curse out every single one of the villains names out. He then was heard crying

[Ma-Ti]

Ma-Ti watched with a heavy heart as Spoony reacted and then left. He could hear Spoony curse before he heard him cry.

"I'm sorry." said Ma-Ti.

He turned and bolted back into the medbay not wanting to face anyone. He just curled up on a bed angry and bitter.

"People keep dying and I can't save them. My parents died when was about 5 years old. They tried to stop people from cutting down the forest. I was staying with my village's elder but when I saw what happened I found my home burned to the ground. And there was no sign of my parents. Now the other Planeteers are dead or captured thanks to me being stuck here. Maybe I should go before I screw up someone else's life too." said Ma-Ti.

Ma-Ti sobbed as his words came back to haunt him.

"Even if I left I still might have been tricked into taking that ring. I never should have taken it." said Ma-Ti.

Roses watched sad as Spoony left and then Ma-Ti left soon afterwards. She followed Spoony being close to him. She didn't say anything and just hugged him knowing he probably wouldn't want to talk. He was her friend and she'd be there for him.

Marzgurl watched Roses go after Spoony. She looked at Spoony and then at Iheart. The poor girl looked awful. She probably felt just as bad as Spoony and Ma-Ti. She turned to Snob.

"I'm going to tell the others. It's better if they find out without Spoony and Ma-Ti around anyway. Look after her. She needs you." whispered Marzgurl.

Marzgurl walked silently upstairs to find the others.

Linksano, Stone, Chester, and Elisa had all walked out of their rooms and were about to go downstairs. Marzgurl motioned for them to stop.

"I've got some bad news." said Marzgurl.

Snob nodded obediantly. He immediately went over to IHeart who was very close to sobbing herself. Snob quickly walked IHeart down on the couch and hugged her tightly. IHeart pounced on Snob's body and sobbed into his chest. Completely brokenhearted and Snob even took the rare pleasure of tearing up himself as he shushed her

"I'm hearing a lot of crying. It definitely is bad news. Tell me Marz. It's best that way" Critic replied as solumnly as possible. He crossed his arms and looked at Marzgurl patiently and almost protectively. He was all better now and has been very efficient and now as he was just awoken he still had a definite proof of leadership, even if he was in his pajamas.

"Uh oh. I don't like bad news. Is it to do with us?" 90's kid asked bluntly and obviously as he normally did

Roses' hug made him cry more but he took it in and hugged Roses tightly. He litterally had his heart taken and probably had no hope anymore of thinking about getting it back. He was alone again just when he was alright now. Goggles was someone he cared about more than anything now she too was ripped from his life.

"Why, God?! Why?!" He wailed out

Roses kept hugging Spoony her heart breaking as he cried.

"There's till a chance we can get her back. We just have to get her ring off. Others have been rescued from being Star Sapphires in the comics right? We'll get her back." said Roses.

She wasn't sure if he believed her or if would listen but they needed everyone to help them.

Marzgurl sighed and began.

"Ma-Ti got his memories back and..."

"Wait. That's good news. Finally we can go back to normal around here." said Chester.

"That's not all of it. Unfortunately, he remembered meeting a sorcerer on the streets who gave him a violet ring that said would restore his memories if he gave it to someone. Ma-Ti gave it to Goggles and he got knocked out. He looked online and figured out it was a violent lantern ring. Goggles is now a Star Sapphire and must have joined the villains willingly. Spoony, Ma-Ti, and Iheart have taken it pretty bad." said Marzgurl.

"No. It's not fair. Why do we keep losing people?" said Elisa.

[Nostalgia Critic]

"Good question Elisa. Wish I knew the answer" Critic replied tiredly, rubbing his hands in his eyes. He turned quickly to Linksano and replied "Any chance we can reduce the magic on our next attack or some sort of thing Linksano. I'm open for a response. Since you're pretty much the expert on these things"

90's kid was pale and took off his hat and rubbed his shaved hairdo. He sighed "Not cool man. Really uncool. Is she really gone Marzgurl? Really gone?"

Spoony wasn't listening. He didn't want to listen. He wanted to wail out his pain and sorrow. He hated the villains, he hated the world, he hated fate and reason. Now there was no way to get her back in his eyes. It was over. He was lost.

IHeart was crying some more. Snob kept trying to calm her down "It'll be ok. It's not your fault. It'll be ok. We'll fix this ok? We'll fix this" But to no avail. IHeart was still taking it all too hard and all too much

[Pushing Up Roses]

"I can try but lantern rings are tricky. I'm not sure what modifications they've done to the ring. We need to be careful and not just pull it off. Perhaps if we could capture her I could work on a way to remove it safely." said Linksano.

Marzgurl nodded sadly.

"I'm afraid so. But there's still a chance of us saving her. Linksano's right. Maybe Maleficent can overpower her. She is our strongest sorcerer here. And she won't hold back either. I don't know if I could fight her. I'm lucky I haven't gone up against Dark Nella yet either." said Marzgurl.

"Well Nostalgia Chick did free Nella once. It might work again. We can always try it at the next battle and see." said Linksano.

Meanwhile on the back porch Roses just kept hugging Spoony seeing her words weren't getting through to him. She would just be there for her friend right now. She knew they had to make a plan to get Goggles and the others back fast.

[IHeart]

"Ok I want to be safe so we'll have to.... Wait. We'll have to grab her at close range of some sorts" Critic responded patiently. For once in his life, he actually wasn't angry and wasn't responding with "Do it anyway" he was acting maturely. He turned to Marzgurl and nodded "We'll do what we can. We're supposed to try and get chick, morpheus and patch back anyway"

90's kid replied angerily "I'd like to find that zombie dude and teach him a lesson" 90's kid was somewhat seething and he ajusted his hat toughly

Spoony eventually tried to calm down as the tears still flowed through his eyes. When he finally let go of Roses he looked at her with tear streaken cheeks and red eyes and his breathing hitched. He just looked at her giving her the silent message of thanks but he was too broken

Snob then said firmly "I swear to god. I'll find the fuckers and make them pay for what they did to us. I'll never let them hurt you again. You'll be ok. I promise" Snob replied, IHeart eventually stopped but loosely stuck to snob's chest breathing and hugging him less tightly but actually in a tired fashion. IHeart then began to think about where Ma-Ti was

[Elisa/Maven Of The Eventide]

"Maleficent's our best option. Goggles is going to have access to all of powers her ring can give her. The rest of us are still learning how to fight. I don't think we'd be a match for Goggles anyway. Even if we got close enough she can probably generate a forcefield to stop us from grabbing her. Linkara and Splinter are probably the best to capture her. And I don't know how Spoony will react when he sees her again." said Marzgurl.

"Nostalgia Chick, Nella, Goggles, Patch, and Morpheus are their prisoners. In a cage or trapped in their own bodies. We have to free them all and then make those villains pay for what they've put them and the rest of us through. This isn't just about saving the world anymore. It's personal." said Elisa.

Stone nodded agreeing with her and 90's Kid.

"Yeah. I'd like a crack at him myself. First he knocked out Ma-Ti and made him his lose his memories. Now he's taken Goggles from us. Elisa's right. This has gone way to far and it's time we showed them we're not going to stand by and let them hurt our friends any longer." said Stone.

Roses nodded sadly. She hated seeing him so bad. She'd take losing a game a million games to him over this.

"We're here for you Spoony. You're not alone. I miss her too. And we'll get her back and the others." said Roses.

[Nostalgia Critic]

"Guys listen" Critic replied facing all his friends in front and stood up straight instead of louchy. He took a deep breath replying firmly "We all want to pound their heads in and we will. I may have not been there in the past, injured and such. I know you guys were worried about my temper and you had every right to. This time though I'm all healed, I have a clear head and I understand what must be done"

He looked to 90's kid who paid close attention then to Elisa, Marzgurl and the rest. He breathed and replied "I know I've said things before to you all that you'd like to forget. I know I've forced you in the past to let me lead. Now I ask you.... As my friends. My army. Will you give me a chance to lead the next battle? Don't do it for me though, do it for Spoony, for Morpheus, for Goggles, for Patch and....."

Critic stuttered there and looked to the ground in rememberance and pain of his own loss. This was where he put himself in Spoony's shoes and completely felt the same, he too lost his love and he too wanted her back. Nostalgia chick he loved and he would fight to get her. It was there he knew for sure he wanted her back and he stood with a even more calm expression as if enlightment " And for nostalgia chick. Guys, will you trust me? Can you trust me?"

90's kid thought long and hard but eventually walked over and patted Critic on the shoulder replying "Yes Critic. I'm willing. I trust you with my life dude"

Snob heard the commotion outside but he didn't care. He kept on talking to IHeart "I'll help critic take care of it. I made a mistake. I'm sorry. I fucked up. I'll set it right. Just don't blame yourself and trust me" IHeart looked to him and softly replied "OK snob... I believe you"

Spoony sniffed wiping his nose then his eyes but he then breathed and transformed from a weeping soul into a bravehearted hero then. He looked calmly to Roses and replied "I know. We will. I'll make sure of it"

[Elisa/Maven Of The Eventide]

"I trust you Critic. I want Chick and the others back too." said Elisa.

Critic had lead them in Suburban Knights and it had turned out okay. Even Ma-Ti was back from the dead. She knew they wouldn't fail with him in command again.

"You formed this army. You called us all out here. I trusted you when I came out here. And I trust you now." said Marzgurl.

Stone nodded in agreement.

"Of course I trust you. You're our leader. It wasn't the same without you fighting with us." said Stone.

Rose nodded glad he was determined to help rescue Goggles and the others and not give up.

"Once we get a plan together we can get Goggles and the others back. This time we're not going to fail. Goggles, Morpheus, Patch, and Chick will all back here where they belong. And then we'll make them pay for taking them away from us." said Roses.

She paused thinking about Nella. She was worse off than Goggles. At least with Goggles they could pull off a ring. But how were they going to save Nella.

Meanwhile downstairs Ma-Ti had wiped the tears from his face. He still felt sad but he didn't feel like crying anymore.

"Goggles, Spoony. I'm so sorry." he whispered.

IHeart then realized someone else needed comforting. She hugged snob again and replied "Thanks snob. I feel better. I gotta talk to ma-ti!" She then ran downstairs to find him and tell him about her slight enlightment

Snob allowed her to go and he went downstairs enough to hear the others talk to Critic and the fact they trusted him. He walked into the room with pride and replied "I trust you critic. I may have not in the past but I do now. I'm with you. We all are"

Critic smiled happily "Thank you guys. Now the first thing we gotta do is plan. I'll obviously set up a team that'll split up eventually for the rescue just in case the villains had a funny idea to keep them all hiding like a scavenger hunt. Linksano, do you have weapons in tack?" He asked his question very seriously

"Black lantern spoony and the rest will indeed pay for what they've done. IHeart will be avenged as much as goggles. Poor girl's hurting just as much as I am" Spoony replied sternly as he sniffed more and wiped his face. He gave a even calmer expression when looking to Roses
