Diablo nodded flying on Maleficent's shoulder again in case she needed her hands to walk around. Soon they were in front of Grimhilde's room and she had knocked on it. Hopefully she could help them. Grimhilde must be a witch or a dark fairy if Maleficent was going to her for help.
XXXX
Grimhilde opened the door hearing Maleficent knocking.
"Not at the moment." said Grimhilde.
She saw the raven sitting on Maleficent's shoulder and at first thought, it was her old friend before realizing it was a bit smaller. Perhaps Maleficent had found the raven Diablo she spoke of earlier.
Patch trotted beside Maleficent to meet grimhilde. Patch then burst out childishly "Diablo can only talk telepathically. We thought you could maybe help us find a way to help him communicate with us" Patch turned upwards to maleficent to allow her to speak the rest, that is if there was a rest of the conversation
Maleficent had barely opened her mouth to explain the situation to Grimhilde when Patch blurted it out himself. The dark fairy rolled her eyes in mild annoyance.
“Yes, thank you, Patch,” she remarked dryly. Turning back to Grimhilde, she elaborated, “This is Diablo – he arrived only arrived minutes before. As Patch so eloquently put it, he can only communicate via telepathy, and even then, only with me. This was never a problem back in my domain, but we feel it will be more of a hindrance than a help here.
“There was a spell for this in one of my books at the Forbidden Mountain, and while I’m fairly certain I remember how it went, it would be dangerous to attempt without being completely sure. I only ask that you confirm it – if you know of it, that is.”

Queen Grimhilde paused shaking her head.
"I had something similar with my own familiar so I could talk with him. But I only used the spell once. And all my spellbooks are back in my world. That is if Snow and the dwarves haven't found my lab and destroyed everything." said Queen Grimhilde.
She paused remembering her Magic Mirror.
"Perhaps my mirror can help you. There is very little he can't show us. And as you said it's better to get the spell right. If he can't show us our worlds then maybe the spell exists in this one." said Grimhilde.
Irritated, Maleficent frowned. So Grimhilde didn’t know the spell after all.
“Well, thank you just the same.” There wasn’t all that much sincerity in the words. “I can find some other way to make Diablo’s voice heard.”
But what? She supposed she could always try out the spell anyway and see what the results were – generally speaking, her memory was very good – but what if just this once, she was wrong? Diablo could be hurt, or worse, and she couldn’t let that happen. Not when she had just gotten him back.
The dark fairy brightened a bit at the mention of Grimhilde’s Magic Mirror. Truthfully, she had forgotten all about it.
“If you would allow me to use it, I would be greatly appreciative.”

Queen Grimhilde nodded.
"Of course. Come in. I'll summon him." said Queen Grimhilde.
She turned walking inside allowing the trio in as she turned to face a mirror on the wall. She'd asked to have one put in her room and Critic had managed to get her one. That way she would always have a place to admire herself as well as contact her Magic Mirror when she wanted.
"Slave in the magic mirror, come from the farthest space, through wind and darkness I summon thee. Speak! Let me see thy face." said Queen Grimhilde.

The face of the Magic Mirror then appeared in the mirror while the rest of it was a black background.
"Maleficent wishes to cast a spell so Diablo can communicate with everyone telepathically and not just her. Can you show us the spell to cast it?" said Queen Grimhilde.
The Magic Mirror stops to think for a moment and nods as his image vanishes revealing an image of one of Queen Grimhilde's spellbooks before showing what was inside it the spell Maleficent needed.
Queen Grimhilde turned looking around for some paper and a quill used to write in the old ways. Soon the spell was completed and she handed it to Maleficent.
"Here. Keep this with you. Just remember to phrase it so Diablo can speak telepathically. We don't need to hear every animal's thoughts. Believe me, I made that mistake once. It took me a couple hours to fix my mistake." Said Queen Grimhilde.

Diablo smiled. Soon he could speak with everyone and no one would be confused and Maleficent wouldn't have to translate for him either which he could tell was starting to annoy her.
Patch grinned sheepishly as Maleficent spoke, aware that she didn't like to be interupted. Then he observed and watched as the mirror helped out with a spell for diablo to communicate properly with them. Patch was excited about this and was speechless because of how excited he was. He walked a bit closer, curious to about the paper
As she stepped inside Grimhilde’s room, Maleficent’s eyes darted to Patch’s curious face, and she couldn’t help but be the tiniest bit amused. The Mirror’s appearance had no such effect on her, given that she had seen it previously. Rather, she was impatient to get the information she had requested.
Her patience was rewarded with a piece of paper bearing the spell in question. She took it eagerly, barely pausing to thank the queen before turning to Diablo. She read the spell and was satisfied to find that it was just as she had remembered. The procedure would be simple enough now.
“Are you ready, my pet?”
Maleficent lightly pressed the emerald-colored orb of her staff to the raven’s temple and began to chant. A split second after the last word left her mouth, a bright white light surrounded Diablo’s body, vanishing as quickly as it had come.
“How do you feel?” Maleficent asked, eyes filled with curiosity. The cynic in her worried that something may have gone wrong.
At first, nothing happened. Maleficent shifted nervously, her mind already wandering to the possibility that something had gone wrong and her raven would remain mute forever.
Then she heard his “voice”, and for the first time ever, Diablo’s thoughts did not merely echo in her mind, but were broadcasted for all in the room to hear – Grimhilde even spoke back to him. Listening to it brought a wide smile to Maleficent’s pale green face. One finger ran along his spine.
