[Tony Stark/Iron Man]

(OCC: A Tony Stark/Bruce Banner Thread. Afternoon on the 27th of january. This thread is after Alone and Looking for new friends)

Tony enjoyed the lab. Thanks to the guidence of IHeart and Linksano, he now knew where it was. He was going to like this place. A lot. A whole hell of a lot. Best part? His best friend and science partner, Bruce Banner was here. It would take bruce a lot longer than tony to get used to the conditions, due to the calm man's shy and nervous personality but he would get warmed up to it. Besides, Bruce loved science, like Tony did.

"So awesome. Ain't it, Bruce? It's so pretty, shabby as hell, but still pretty" Tony commented

"mmhm pretty" Bruce said now wandering around the lab taking everything in with a deep calm breath of air. "this is perfect. it's just what we need!" he says turning to his friend a wide smile on his lips.

"I can't wait to see what tools they have, dude!" Tony replied, glad that Bruce was showing himself out more. Well maybe that was due to the fact they were alone. He looked to the lab table and saw a huge lazer, and observed it. He laughed and giggled like a 5 year old child. He was enjoying himself. He didn't know why but everytime he was alone with his thoughts and science, it was a hell of a fun trip for him. Tony showed a lazer to bruce "Look at this badboy!"

"They have the same as we have i'm hopeing?" Bruce said his hands hanging limply at his side his gazes flicks at Tony and then away. "Careful with that Tony" he warns as he spys the lazer "don't want to get hurt now" he warns holding up a hand for empishes.

"Dear dear bruce. You worry WAY too much" Tony replied, but nevertheless put the lazer down. He then observed the security and replied "Wow. Linksano went all bonkers. It really is serious" He looked to the security and then saw every room and everyone in the house. He saw Spoony watching a crappy movie, he saw Chick and Donny talking together about something, he saw Critic sleeping(Most likely due to stress) and he saw Ma-Ti and IHeart laughing and talking.

"The security is nice. Gotta like it bruce" Tony replied

"Nice? Tony this is crap to what you have, to what JARVIS does" Bruce laughs with a shake of his head in amusement "not that i'm saying it not good and all but look at yours" he says "and i don't worry" he grunts out.

"I said it was nice, I never said it was great or the best I've ever seen. Especially when you compare it to JARVIS. I would be lying if I said I didn't respect Linksano for doing this" Tony replied, chuckling, amused with bruce immediately jumping to conclusions. He then teasingly responded back, like a younger brother "Yeah you do worry. Way too much"

Bruce just lets out a snort of air "mmhm" he mummers before walking back to Tony's side. "I. don't. worry." he says punctuation each word now inches from Tony's face a mock glare on it. "ok? and..." he says pulling back his eyes flicking to Tony's lips for a moment then away "don't we have work to do?"

Tony admittedly was confused as Bruce got closer to him. However, he found himself to not minding bruce being that close. He shook his head and replied calmly "Not at the moment. Critic's taking a break so we have time to ourselves" He grinned at that, glad to have moments with bruce and just hang out with him. He absentmindedly got closer to Bruce, not knowing of the man's nervousness. He replied looking around "Alright alright. I'm just saying you seem off-edge"

Bruce runs a hand threw his curly hair with a sigh "ourselves huh?" Bruce mumbles now leaning agaist a table. "off-edge?" Bruce said a blush starting to appear on his cheeks "er how so?" he scurries around the room now desprately trying to put some space beween him and his best friend the heat in his cheeks no his whole body grew.

Bruce was acting like a high-school date. Oh crap. This meant only two things. That he was in love with someone back home or... Bruce was in love with him. Honestly, deep down, Tony felt a connection from the start but it never blossomed into purely crush material. Then again, Bruce was just getting used to all of this and just trying to not be so nervous and Tony was imagining things.

Tony smirked and replied "You're blushing for one thing. Blushing equals worry---Sorry being off-edge" If this nervousness was his first suggestion then Tony would see if he felt the same way, which was probably deep inside but he would see to it eventually. However, he wanted to take it smoothly, like always.

"I'm worried because you might not want me" the doctor blurts out quickly clamping his mouth shut once again and just stares at his best friend now turned crush ever since he had left Betty, the doctor started to have feeling for his best friend the man could only hope that Tony felt the same way about him.

"What?" Tony's question was both out of not really understanding and the fact that bruce was worried about his choice of love interest. Tony now knew that his hypothetical suggestion was correct. However, he wanted bruce to confirm it. If bruce was really serious, Tony would actually be happy about this. Sure, Pepper was back home, but she just recently told him that she wanted to try and find other people. And like the free bird he was, he accepted her decision. So unless she came back, nothing would hold him down.

Tony took that in and looked back to bruce acceptingly. He spoke gently but in his tone there was that message that meant he wanted the truth. Tony replied "What do you mean by that bruce?"

Bruce swallows hard "i-i mean i want to be yours" he breaths out now sweating "i want to be with you because your the only person who trusts me and is not afraid of what i become" he says "the others Steve,Thor,Clint even Nat i can see it in there eyes when they think i'm not looking there afraid of me" he gives out a bitter chuckle.

"Why would I be afraid of a creature that smashes bad guys?" Tony replied, sarcastically and joking a bit, mostly out of nervousness of his own. Bruce really DID care so much for him, more than best friends but as a partner-a life partner. Tony replied, being serious now and gazing gently to Bruce's eyes "I trust you more than anybody. Maybe even more than Pepper or Rhodey. You know the very things I know and we both have checkered pasts and problems. You're the only one for me too"

He then breathed. Trying not to lose his cool and succeeding in that. He turned back to Bruce after turning away slightly, he spoke with a even tone "So what else do you mean by wanting me? Why want a joking, arrogant playboy like me?"
