Never Felt So Nervous (Vinny, Dylan)

[Lincoln Campbell]

(ooc: September 6th. Evening. Audrey/Dylan and Lincoln/Vinny double date.)

Audrey had seen the way Lincoln and Vinny looked at each other. It was the same of her looking and Dylan. She thought she'd caught him looking a few times and had finally asked him out. But her nerves had gotten the best of her and she'd asked for a double date with Lincoln and Vinny. So now they were in New Orleans going to a fancy costume party. She was dressed as Zorro and couldn't wait for the others to arrive so they could go. They'd gone with a superhero theme so she couldn't wait to see the other's costumes.

Audrey saw Lincoln's costume and chuckled.

"Thank you. I think Vinny's going to have a hard time keeping his hands to himself." said Audrey.

She then grinned pulling out a cell phone and started to take a few pictures.

"Of course. Everyone should know what they missed on when they lost you to Vinny." said Audrey.

Lincoln was nervous. Vinny had asked him out and this would be their first official date. Sure it was a double date but he couldn't deny the attraction he had for the other man. At least at a costume party, it might remove a little of the pressure. Only the only costume he had found was a Power Boy. He'd even wore a blonde wig so he'd fit. He felt so under-dressed especially seeing Audrey as Zorro. But he couldn't back out now.

"Zorro? Nice costume." said Lincoln.

Lincoln blushed at the comment even though he knew it was true. Then he saw her taking photos.

"You're not going to share those are you?" asked Lincoln.

Lincoln sighed knowing he had agreed to the double date. If she hadn't taken photos, Vinny probably would have.

Dylan had suspicions about Audrey. He had feelings for her for a long time. He just never found the right time to say things. He felt bad that Audrey had to ask him out, with a double date. He had to be really clean about his feelings tonight. Hopefully Vinny would want to spend time with Lincoln as opposed to Audrey and Dylan too. Maybe then she and him could blossom their slow romance. Dylan hoped he could impress her by dressing up like Wolverine. Vinny wasn't a superhero expert but decided to go with the traditional route of Superman. Dylan looked around the party, asking Vinny "Hey, Vin, do you see them?" He looked around then saw Vinny grinning lustfully and excitedly. Dylan looked and blushed brightly at the sight of Audrey as Zorro. His heart raced, replying "Hey! Audrey! Lincoln!" Dylan looked right at Audrey "W-Wow, Audrey, you look, you look--" He then sneered as Vinny interrupted him and he stated firmly "Stunning. I was going to say stunning"

He was doing this to support Audrey and give her confidence. But he wanted to have time with Lincoln to himself. He hoped this double date would be fun. He wasn't a superhero expert due to growing up with limited options on TV. Then again, he got access to TV nowadays and he was very particular about what he liked. Team Four Star was his particular favorite. He looked around as Dylan asked for Lincoln and Audrey. He felt his heart rush and his lust increase at the sight of Lincoln's costume. He went over immediately, replying smugly "Believe me. I found them" He turned to Audrey and teased Dylan "Just say sexy, man. You know you want to" Vinny chuckled "I'm kidding. I knew you were thinking of something classy. Anyone who doesn't treat Audrey with class ain't worth respect man" Vinny turned to Audrey, a brotherly feeling going over him "You hear that Audrey, a man ain't worth respect if they don't treat you with respect" Vinny smiled to Lincoln "Speaking of respect. I'm respecting this costume. Christ, you look amazing Lincoln" He got much closer to Lincoln, wanting to flirt a bit. He whispered to avoid embarrassment "You have no idea how sexy ya look in this. I'm barely keeping myself contained"
