We're A Family And You're One Of Us Now (Gamic Family)

[Riven Gamic]

(ooc: August 28th. Morning. Gamic family meeting.)

Riven was nervous. He had gained magic and a new family. His parents were never really around and he'd practically raised himself. And now he was getting the chance at a new family. Two fathers, and two little brothers. Facilier and Malachite both had been quite generous in giving him these powers and teaching him how to control them. But what if his new little brothers didn't want them? He'd never had brothers. He was pulled from his thoughts seeing someone nearly knock him over into a wall as someone was hugging him. He looked up seeing Malachite walk in and chuckling.

"Uh.. hi." said Riven, awkwardly.

Riven chuckled himself hearing the story.

"So I guess this means you approve?" said Riven.

He looks up wondering who's comnig as he hears the footsteps too.

Pete grinned as his rushed in having heard about his new brother and hugged him.

"Hi. I'm Pete. I didn't think I'd get another brother. Olive is so cool though. I can't wait til you meet him." said Pete.

Pete saw Malachite come in and blushed.

"I heard you two talking about him last night. And wanted to make him feel welcome." said Pete.

Pete nods and lets go.

"Of course." said Pete.

He paused hearing footsteps.

"Is that Olive and Father?" asked Pete.

Malachite had been looking for Pete and grinned seeing him hugging Riven and he chuckled.

"He's just welcoming you to the family. Although I'm wondering how he knew." said Malachite.

He grinned hearing Pete said he overheard them.

"I guess we need to work on some spells to make sure people don't eavesdrop anymore." said Malachite.

Malachite's Shadow flew in keeping alert. The house seemed safe but with La possessing one of the members awhile back and the traitors who had left and joined other armies it was better to be safe than sorry.

[Olive Gamic]

Not far behind Malachite's shadow was Facilier's shadow. Like Malachite's shadow, F.S was far more paranoid than his master. The top-hatted shadow swooped around the walls before growling a confirmation to Malachite's shadow that no one was intruding. Facilier, meanwhile, chuckled to the two shadows "Take the day off, boys, it's family night" Facilier pulled Olive beside him, replying amusedly as the boy was finishing up papers "Come on son, you did a lot of apprenticing for one night. Your Dad and I got something to show you. Pete already went downstairs, you should come, we need to talk" Facilier took Olive aside, replying proudly "Olive, I know you take your duties seriously. Especially since you're gonna be fifteen real soon" Facilier replied "But you aren't the only heir, you have your two brothers that will and should inherit this too" Facilier beamed evilly as Olive fell for his surprise bait "Oh? You didn't know? Riven is your brother now" He beamed as Olive was pleased to have an older brother and Facilier chuckled "Well, why don't you ask him yourself?"

Facilier walked down, joining Malachite and chuckling at Pete's excitement. He turned to Olive, replying "Well, why don't you ask Riven your questions" Facilier turned to Riven, winking fondly "I think you're gonna fit right in, son"

Olive finished his paperwork. Despite being fourteen, Olive felt responsible and indebted to his parents. He felt like setting a example for the other children, including his brother Pete. He finished up faster, turning to Facilier "Sorry Pop, I just felt like helping you and Dad" Olive's names for his fathers was different from Pete, as Olive wasn't a fan of the term father like Pete was. Olive followed, listening to Facilier and agreeing "I know, I know. I need to share. I just want to be a good leader like you and---" He was then dumbfounded as he heard Facilier announce he had two brothers. Olive shouted, excited "Wait WHAT?!" He then beamed as Facilier declared that Riven joined their family. Like Pete, Olive had attached himself to the lone wolf like bees with honey. Riven, despite his appearance, was very well-liked by Olive. So to have him as a older brother was music to the boy's ears. Olive beamed "He really wants to be my brother? Is he really gonna be our brother? Really?"

Olive practically raced down, turning to Pete "Hey! How come you heard this before I did?" He beamed to Riven, replying excitedly "You're gonna be our older brother? You really wanna be part of the Gamics?" Olive beamed excitedly "Me and Pete wanted a older brother so bad!"
