Dr. Gero is best described as callous, cold, overtly technical and arrogant. He's immensely intelligent, which makes him a bit of a know-it-all or condescending towards others. He's a bit demanding, bossy and overtly tyrannical to those he feels are beneath him. Despite his ego, he can and usually does learn from mistakes and will even go so far as to be willing to always improve. He may be cruel, sadistic and violent but he is not without honor or standards. He has a relatively soft spot for technological beings, particularly those that are loyal to him. He is capable of showing compassion to those he truly cares for.
History:
Dr. Gero's early history is not well-known, due to Dr. Gero keeping mostly to himself, but when he was a young adult he joined the Red Ribbon Army as a scientist prodigy. Thanks to his efforts in weaponry, the red ribbon army caused chaos for many places, being quite a gang. He became well-respected as the lead scientist, and Dr. Gero pursued his efforts into technological evolution of man. He also got married and had a son, who joined the red ribbon army as a soilder. One day a young boy named Goku defeated most if not all of the red ribbon army. Dr. Gero even lost his only son in the crossfire. Vowing revenge against Goku he designed many androids including his loyal ally Android 19 along with android 16 who basically was the robot clone of his son. He also captured Lapis and Lazuli who became Androids 17 and 18. He also hid away, making two labs, one main one and a underground bunker lab. He even made himself an android, desperate to download any type of power. Thanks to his spy ladybugs, he managed to get samples of DNA from all of the Z fighters, such as Vegeta, Frieza, Goku and many others for his other secret project known as Cell.
He plotted his schemes out in secret, confining Android 17 and 18 when they failed to obey him by shutting them down. So he proceeded to make a plan with just himself and 19. One day, on may 12th prophezized by Future Trunks he and 19 attacked North City in a attempt to find Goku. They confronted Goku and were close to killing him when Vegeta confronted them by being a super saiyan. Due to outdated information, Gero retreated, deciding to drain energy to save himself. He attacked Piccolo, who to his surprise defeated him with ease. He then learned that thanks to training for his arrival, the z fighters learned to surpress and exemplify energy. In a panic, Gero reactivated 17 and 18 to kill the z fighters instead but was killed by them the second they awoke. Dr. Gero died by 17's hand and was not heard from again. Until now, he was revived thanks to being rebooted by Insano. Insano, along with other scientists, convinced him to assist them and Ask Thatguy's cause. Something of which Dr. Gero see no reason not to. Especially since he could get revenge on Piccolo, 17 and all his enemies.
