A New Sunspot(Hades)

[Nemo Saki]

(OCC: July 17th, afternoon. Hades/Karai/Nemo bonding time!)

Nemo was bored. And hungry. Mostly bored. Normally he would hang with the other kids and play outside. Unfortunately for him the children were busy with their chores or schoolwork. Leaving him with little to go on. There was also the fact he was set to arrive at a meeting to meet possible parental adoptees. Something of which made him nervous. It wasn't like he wanted to leave this place, but he felt a bit disconnected from most adults here. Either they were distracted with their jobs, or distracted by something else, they viewed his imaginative personality a tad odd. Nemo felt out of place. 

So he figured he would use his free time to prep himself. Then he heard a woman's laughter. He turned to notice karai speaking with Hades. Nemo smiled, he had a small admiration for the death god, but he felt afraid at the same time. Karai was always very sweet to him and he felt like karai reminded him of his mother. He felt though they were busy and was about to leave when his stomach ratted him out. He blushed as karai noticed him and he waved timidly "Hi there" He then shook his head "Oh no it's okay. You guys seemed busy. I can wait if you want" He then was pulled in by karai who insisted he stay. He sat in his seat and saw hades' irritated face and he blushed more.

Karai couldn't help but laugh at hades' joke. She felt like she was getting closer to him as time went by. She had agreed to spend lunch with him today and they were just chattering about life. She was about to comment on the joke when she noticed the small boy named nemo. Nemo had not been adopted yet. Karai felt very unsettled that he was not taken in quite yet. She was due for the meeting for nemo's adoption. She got to know the boy and felt her case should be met. But she decided to use this chance to get to know him more than she had. She replied to nemo "Wait. Do not walk away nemo" She then smiled softly as he timidly replied hello "Your stomach greeted us before you did. You must be hungry. Why don't you come join us?" 

She then shook her head as both hades and nemo made comments that he didn't have to. Karai replied, taking his hand affectionately "Nonsense. A young boy like yourself must be fed properly. Come sit with us" She then lead him to sit down. She didn't notice hades' irritated face as she made herself, hades and nemo some food to eat. She had spent some time talking to hades first and was about to make food anyway. She hoped nemo would feel comfortable with them.

Hades smiled at Karai. He loved spending time with her. He still couldn't believe she agreed to court him and that Shredder had gave his blessing.

"You really have lit up my life Karai. In more ways than one." said Hades.

He paused looking up seeing Nemo. And suddenly Karai was asking the kid to join them for lunch

"But he probably wants to hang out with some of the other kids or his family." said Hades.

He sighed realizing their date was now going to have a third wheel. Where were Pain and Panic when he needed them? Well, one was around here somewhere. The other was probably still back home. He forced on a smile trying to be nice but he knew nothing about kids so he would just let the two of them do all the talking. When she brought in some food he grinned holding up some marshmallows on a stick and roasting them with his thumb before eating it. He grinned then did the same for a hot dog.

"It's amazing what different foods are in this world now. The Greeks and the Olympians tended to just stick to the same old boring stuff," said Hades, thinking out loud.

[Karai]

Karai smiled at Hades' praise but was quite confused when she finally noticed the stiffness Hades presented. Karai put the boy close to her, replying gently "Perhaps he does but he should eat first. He's a growing child after all" Karai felt awkward now, realizing Hades might not enjoy the fact she planned to take guardianship for Nemo. She knew she had to tell the both of them soon. Karai put out plates and smiled curiously at Hades showing his powers. As he expressed his thoughts, she smiled as Nemo was stunned and impressed by him. Karai replied, explaining "Well, it is part of his powers as he rules the underworld" She turned to Hades, blushing "I hope that is correct"

Nemo could tell Hades was bothered with his presence. It made the situation all the more uncomfy. He was glad Karai welcomed him and he gratefully made himself a sandwich and dipped marshmellows in chocolate. Then, to his delight, Hades used his powers. This caused his shyness to be completely replaced with curiosity. He beamed bright, pointing to Hades "Wow! That's so cool! How'd you do that?" He listened as Karai explained and Nemo ate, replying to Hades "You are a ruler? Are you a king? Do you have a crown?" He pointed to himself "Morpheus made me the prince of his kingdom because he wanted me to be his heir next to his daughter. Isn't that cool?" Nemo blushed, worried he was going to be annoying "Sorry, my Mom says talking before someone answers your question is rude. But I got excited"
