(OCC: July 17th, evening. Cassidy/Strife romance and bonding thread. I couldn't resist so sorry)
Cassidy was unable to sleep. Having nightmares about his old life did that to him often. He went downstairs and grabbed a large beer, wanting to drink some of his sorrows away. He noticed many sleeping but snuck away anyway to watch some late night tv. He watched the real housewives of new York and smiled amusedly as some of the housewives argued. He replied in amusement "You tell ramona off bethanny, she can't tell yeh what to do" He then gulped his beer then realized he was being watched. He sat up a bit and then smiled as he saw strife looking. He beckoned strife over and replied "Ya can come watch mate. I can change the channel to something else to if you want. No need to be shy, man" If anything Cassidy wanted the man to come over, Cassidy was lonely and did not want to be alone with his thoughts of the past. If anything he wanted to focus on his present.
Strife yawned feeling bored. Their battle they'd had earlier today hadn't gone the way they wanted. That turtle and his pals had gotten away. The battle had been fun but not having even one prisoner to torture annoyed him. At least he hadn't run into his cousin or his friends Xena and Gabrielle. Or his other cousin Perseus. Sure Perseus was from another reality but he was still family. And from what he'd heard was just as righteous and annoying as Hercules. Aphrodite was over there though and she's probably the only one he didn't want to hurt. She was kinder to him than his uncle which wasn't saying much but she was still family. As he heard voices he walked out seeing a man he'd met earlier Cassidy watching a strange box.
"What magic is this? How did you get the people so tiny?" asked Strife.
He paused at Cassidy's words as he sat down.
"Changing the channel?" asked Strife, more confused.
Cassidy himself was confused by strife's behavior at first. But then he noticed how confused he was at the tv, and then it hit Cassidy. It was clear strife was also from another time period and Cassidy couldn't help but feel a instant sympathy for strife. Cassidy couldn't help but laugh a tiny bit as strife confused the people talking as real and tiny. He replied sympathetically "Nah nah mate. They ain't tiny. They're just from a recording. See, that's a thing called a television and those people are actors. The tv basically records, which is just people observed from a technological device called a camera, and shows us what they're doing" He then smiled moving over and patting the seat near him. He wanted strife to join him. He didn't know why but strife interested him. Very similar to how jesse interested him. He was special, he was different. And not to mention a bit cute.
He smiled a bit more as strife asked him more. He replied "Yeah. Change the channel. Watch" He then changed the channel and suddenly the news came on. He then widened his eyes at the news said something
In other news, a severe fire was seen near the north of Ireland. Police say that it was a accident caused by William Muxt. Ireland struggles with the destruction of three buildings, including a old museum of the irish revolution
Cassidy's blood went absolutely cold and suddenly he turned off the tv and replied annoyedly "Ah, forget it mate, I don't feel like watching tv anymore. You wanna drink a beer with me mate? Get to chit chat? How's about that eh? How's about that?" He hoped strife would take the bait and join him with that instead. He really, really, REALLY didn't want to get into the news of that anymore. It made him completely nervous.
