Where is this character from? Mortal Kombat & Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.
Why did you pick him/her?: he's a fun character and we need more Mortal Kombat characters.

Personality: Cocky, Arrogant, Selfish, Loyal, Protective. He started out full of himself only caring about himself and continuing his movie career. But the longer the tournament went on the closer he became to Liu Kang and Sonya Blade viewing them as friends and Raiden as a mentor. Even Kitana become a good ally.
History:
Johnny had a pretty normal childhood. He acted in local theathers and school plays as he'd love acting from a young age. He always made sure to have time for his fans. After graduating highi school he moved to Hollywood and struck it big. Getting hit blockbusters movies.
Johnny was in several action movies. He didn't always do his own stunts and it seemed they were going to replace him with people who did. He decided to enter the Mortal Kombat tournament to prove he still had it. And that he could still be in the tournament. He fought and defeated Scorpion and Goro although each fight had its close moments of him getting badly hurt or worse.
He grew close with Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, and Raiden throughout the tournament. He welcomed Kittana into the group after she helped Liu win a battle with Subzero. Together they fought their way to the finals and Liu Kang defeated Shao Khan. They thought things were finally over. Until Shang Tsung showed up and attacked them. He grabbed Sonya ready to kill her. Johnny jumped the guy getting him to free Sonya but Shang Tsung was faster than he expected and snapped Johnny's neck killing him. His last act was a selfless one saving Sonya but he paid the ultimate price.
Suddenly he woke up in another world with a collar around his neck and shackles on his wrists and ankles. He learned his new master was Scorpion. Johnny learned this was a younger Scorpion and he hoped he didn't learn what happened in the future. He just had to find a way to earn his new master's favor and hope Scorpion wouldn't try to avenge his future self's death. He hoped Sonya and the others were alright.
Allies: Liu Kang; Sonya Blade; Raiden; Princess Kitana; Jackson Briggs; Shang Tsung; Scorpion (new master); Ask That Guy's Army.
