Crawled Into My Mind(Dr. Smith)

[Logan Sanders]

(OCC: June 6th, afternoon)

Logan worked on his new inventions meant for battle, obsessing over that trying to ignore the events of this morning. He was frankly shocked at how irritated he was over a simple prank. Perhaps it was just simply the fact the target was Dr. Smith, someone he admired and enjoyed. Ever since being here, he found himself drawn to the scientist in many ways and despite his awkwardness with children he was fond of cody. He found himself fitting in with the two more than he had with anyone else. Dr. Smith was compelling in many ways. One might say in a romantic sense. Logan did not understand why he found smith personally and physically attractive but he just did. Maybe sometimes logic just couldn't explain it. Logan shook his head, no logic always could be found. It was simple Dr. Smith himself. How he worked. How he behaved. How he... looked. Logan blushed at the thoughts of seeing Dr. Smith walk and smile and talk. Yes. That was it. It was just logical that smith was interesting to logan. He just had to find a way to address it. Yet he didn't know how. So he hid or at least kept being as pleasant as he could to smith whenever they were in the same room.

As he worked on the invention he started to mumble "Blasted little ghost. I ought to invent one of those stupid ghostbuster weapons just so he could be stuck there. How dare he rudely treat smith the way he did. Insolent little spirit. I ought to give him a real piece of my mind. I ought to..." He then felt a hand on his shoulder and he rose stiffly, turning to see who it was and replied awkwardly "Um. I can explain"

[Dr. Zachary Smith]

Dr. Smith had only been slightly annoyed at Casper's antics but he'd suffewred worse. And he was the ghost of a child. And his uncles had done much worse in various media so he was grateful Casper just midly shoved him. And he'd gotten over it pretty quickly. The ghost was amusing and even doing a few pranks on a few people. So far no one had figured out it was Casper yet but Dr. Smith had spotted the ghosrt doing one of his pranks. He'd jusr t masde sure to avoid that particular one.

He was walking to the lab when he heard a familiar voice. It was Logan and he was touched the man was so offended for him. He walked in grinning as Logan trying to explain.

"Well, you're welcome to try. But if I were you I wouldn't go after that ghost. Just between us he's been pulling some of the pranks around here lately. I still can't get the picture of Jared's hair being pink. That vampire has been hiding trying to get the color to come out." said Dr. Smith.

Logan was aware smith was no doubt over the fiasco. Of course smith is over it. He's mature Logan reasoned to himself. Smith was a big boy. He had better things to worry about than a silly prank. But Logan couldn't get past the fact casper did it in the first place and didn't even apologize for it. It didn't matter if the uncles were worse, casper's behavior was unacceptable. Because smith did nothing wrong, and logan was willing to stand up for the man. Because... because logan cared about smith. Far more than logan liked to admit.

Yet he found himself forced to accept it. He was fond of smith and wasn't concerned with anything else about it. Logan then listened as smith advised him, wisely, that it was best to let it go. Or else logan might be his next target. The ghost seemed to make itself at home and pranked others. Logan nodded "I see. I suppose that explains why virgil had sat on a whoopie cushion without anyone seemingly putting one there" Logan smirked a little, amused virgil got a bit of karmic justice, considering he found smith being pushed down funny. He turned to smith with a soft look and replied "You're the more mature one in this situation doctor" He then found himself proceeding to immaturely dwell in it "It's just a bother to me you know. You did not deserve that. You deserve someone who treats you with respect and affection" He then blushed at the word affection before replying softly "I think you deserve better"

[Dr. Zachary Smith]

Zach chuckled.

"Probably. He's not causing any real harm. And thinking back it was kind of funny. I mean I didn't think so at the time but if he'd done it to someone else well it probably would have been funnier." said Zach.

Zach shrugged.

"Well, I suppose I had to be. Growing up in an Apocalyptic world for years with just a young boy was hard. I lost all my children. And Will was like a son to me after so long. He probably died with the planet. I mean another version of him lives on with his family that left the planet but the adult future version didn't." said Zach.

Zach smiled.

"I appreciate that but it was just a joke. Although if you want to prank him back feel free." said Zach.

He raised an eyebrow.

"Well, I have plenty of friends who respect me. But affection well I guess I have my new son Cody. I never thought I'd have any children but now I do." said Zach.

He shrugged.

[Logan Sanders]

"Perhaps it would be more humorous if it wasn't towards you. You have a astute point, Doctor" Logan replied with a slight grin. While Smith had a point, it spoke about the fact that casper was getting away with his behavior. He then listened as smith explained his background. Smith grew up in a apocalyptic world, having to survive on his own as a child and was forced to have his children taken away from him. Including a boy named will who he lost during the planet's destruction "I'm very sorry to hear that, doctor. That is very unfortunate" Logan replied, doing his absolute best to sound compassionate. He never had children, nor felt like he ever would, but logan had a desire for children, if only to continue the logical biology of man.

He then listened as smith appreciated his concern but that it wasn't a big deal. Logan sighed, finally deciding to drop it. He then blushed as smith missed his point entirely, saying he had respect from friends and had a affectionate relationship with his son. Logan coughed awkwardly "Forgive me Doctor Smith, but I believe I am not making myself specifically clear in what I mean by respect and affection" He turned to the doctor then and nervously held a hand of his "I mean you deserve an equal partner. A significant other who cares about you and cares for you. Romance I mean" He then blushed brighter, finally understanding what virgil and patton meant by feeling so nervous your stomach was in your throat. He gave a soft, but harsh sigh as he replied "Smith, I have feelings for you. I think I have had them for a small while. But they are there. I have romantic feelings towards you"

[Dr. Zachary Smith]

Zach chuckled.

"If you wish to be upset about it I can't stop you. But it was mild annoyance at best to me. I've had far worse done to me. Besides I have a soft spot for him in a way. He's a boy killed too soon and he tried to live his life as a friendly ghost. But he eventually snapped partially due to reviews like the Critic's and he's just as bad as his uncles. Perhaps even worse. In a way I pity him. He's a child who never got the chance to grow up." said Zach.

Zach sighed.

"I have tried to put it out of my mind but I still miss them. Especially Will. But I have a new son and friends here. I've been trying to heal." said Zach.

Zach raied an eyebrow.

"How much clearer could you be?" asked Zach, confused.

Zach shrugged.

"I have equal partners. Insano, Insuedo, Mechakara and more." said Zach.

He paused at he mentioned romance and he frowned.

"Oh. That's what you meant. Maybe when I was human there could have been something. But I'm an a spider human hybrid now. I'm more of a spider than Spider Man. I don't think romance is likely for me." said Zach.

He froze at Logan's next words as he stared at him in shock. After what felt like ages but was probably only a few minutes he smiled.

"You have feelings for me?" asked Smith.

If he was still a human he'd probably be blushing so he was grateful for his spider physiology at the moment.

Logan listened as smith insisted that it was not worth being upset over casper. That, if anything, to take pity on the child. He no doubt was upset for being stuck in a loop of not growing up. Smith's wisdom finally humbled logan immensely and he surrendered that topic entirely. He then blushed more as smith continued to not understand him. He then was relieved that smith understood him but sad that he felt unable to be romanced. He then smiled as smith finally saw the big picture. Logan then held smith's hands and replied softly "Yes. Smith. Doctor. I have romantic interests and feelings for you. If you would give me a chance I'd be delighted to commence a relationship. I wish to court you"

He then replied insistently "You are kind, thoughtful and intelligent. And despite your spider like features I still find you physically attractive. I would like for you to give me one chance" He then blushed more and coughed nervously. He smiled softly though and replied "I promise I will not let you down"

[Dr. Zachary Smith]

Zach was stunned.

"I never thought anyone would want me. I mean I'm not even human. What could you possibly see in me?" replied Zach.

His self confidence had never been super high but it was better as a human. As a spider, he focused everything on science as that was something he could control and understand.

"Really? You're not just kidding around? This isn't another prank of Casper's?" asked Zach.

He glanced around as if expecting the ghost to fly out any moment or for Logan to turn into him or something like that. He sighed and smiled.

"If you really mean this, then I suppose I could try." said Zach.
