I Love To Laugh(Yellow Lantern Chuckles)

[Virgil Sanders]

(OCC: June 7th, Morning)

Virgil spent the whole night trying to write or even go to Chuckles to be honest about how he felt. How he truly felt. That he found himself more than wanting to be friends. That he found chuckles peaceful and relaxing, that he found chuckles addicting and amazing, that he found chuckles fun and exciting. Virgil paced around back and forth, back and forth, reciting only to recorrect himself over and over "Okay. Chuckles here's the deal... no no too forceful. Chuckles, bro, what's good? No too casual. Ok, let's try this um: Chuckles. You're super cute and I know you probably are gonna find this stupid but I wanna go out with you cause you're cute. Wanna go out? Damnit no that's repetitive" Virgil kicked his bed in irritation and mumbled "Can this get any worse?"

Suddenly a knock on the door interrupted his thoughts and he went to the door anxiously, unsure of who it was. He went to open it up to see chuckles there, and out of shyness put his hoodie up to hide his overall purple hair. His brown eyes excited but also nervous to see chuckles. He did his absolute best to not seem too afraid and annoyed by chuckles company because he wasn't. He gulped and waved softly "H-Hi chuckles. Um. Actually I was on my way to talk to you about something" He looked down at chuckles' feet in shame before coughing awkwardly and asked softly "I was going to find you actually. I wanted to talk to you chuckles" He felt himself get smaller at the mere words of what he said. He felt stupid but he didn't know what else to say

Chuckles yawned as he got out of bed. It was pretty early still but he couldn't get back to sleep. He couldn't keep one of the newest arrivals out of his head. Virgil was handsome, charming and fun. He had only known him a couple days but he wanted to know more. He decided to see if he was awake. He took a quick shower and changed his clothes. He was wearing a T-shirt and pants now. He didn't always wear the regular jester outfit anymore but he kept the paint on not wanting to mistaken for Black Lantern Spoony or worse Spoony. He made his way to Virgil's room and knocked on the door.

"Hello Virgil." said Chuckles.

He was amused to see him so nervous. He wasn't sure why though and he smiled at him.

"If you are in the middle of something I could come back later. I was just wondering if you'd like to get some breakfast." said Chuckles.

He paused as he said he wanted to talk to him.

"You want to talk? I'm all ears. Well, not literally. That would be kinda odd." said Chuckles.

Virgil blushed at the sight of chuckles a bit more, realizing how even more about how he was attracted to chuckles regardless of what he was wearing. Damn, he had it bad for chuckles. He listened as the jester then actually invited him to breakfast. Chuckles, invited him, to breakfast. He noticed chuckles then reply that he could come back later if virgil was busy. Out of anxious habit, virgil replied hastely "No! I'm not busy at all!" He then coughed, realizing that came on a bit too strong "Sorry. Um, no I'm not busy. That was what I was going to talk about actually"

Virgil moved away from the door to get a bit closer to chuckles. He then looked chuckles up and down again before replying softly, hesitantly, worried the jester would laugh at him "Um. I was actually going to ask YOU if you wanted to eat breakfast with me. And maybe in the future... um, I mean if you're available.. and if you want that is I..." Virgil then did a loud groan of annoyance, frustrated he couldn't just spit it out. He turned to chuckles "Chuckles, I know this is a bit new but I really like you. I have liked you since I got here. I was thinking maybe we could be a thing. Like be boyfriends. If you wanna be that is" Virgil then forced his hoodie to hide his face completely, looking down again, too shy to even look at chuckles. He was completely worried the jester would laugh or mock him.

Chuckles smiled at him.

"Good. I wouldn't want to interrupt you if you were busy with something else." said Chuckles.

He raised an eyebrow as Virgil glanced at his clothes.

"Is something wrong? Do I have my shirt on backward?" asked Chuckles, glancing at his clothes.

Chuckles paused as Virgil asked about eating breakfast.

"Sure. Eating breakfast sounds good." said Chuckles.

He smiled.

"I like you too Virgil." said Chuckles.

He then froze in surprise as Virgil mentioned to be boyfriends and watched amused as Virgil tried to hide in his hoodie.

"You're adorable. Who wouldn't like you?" said Chuckles.

He paused with a grin.

"I've never had a boyfriend before but I wouldn't mind trying this out. Just don't be too mad if I mess up." said Chuckles.

"I'm never busy. Especially for you" Virgil replied before he realized what he was saying. He then blushed as he felt that was a tad dorky to say. But he didn't apologize for it. Virgil would always go to make time for chuckles, he wanted to make time for the jester. He then shook his head insistently "No. No! It's just.. I think that shirt is nice on you is all" It was really more about the fact virgil just found him hot but he decided to make it purely about clothing. He then smiled victoriously as chuckles accepted to go eat breakfast with him. Relieved that the jester didn't find him too ridiculous as of yet.

He then anticipated chuckles' answer and was waiting for rejection but was shocked that chuckles actually responded that he felt similar. Virgil honestly felt like fainting but he stood still and smiled a bit as chuckles accepted him. He then blushed a tad as Chuckles said he was adorable. At this moment he didn't mind being called that, but if logan got word of this he probably would have to spend years of being badass to make up for it. For now though he was flattered. He then shrugged as chuckles asked who wouldn't like him "I don't know. I just am such a dork. I try to be cool but I'm not" He replied self-conciously

He then turned to listen that while chuckles said he didn't have a boyfriend before, he was more than willing to try this out. Virgil beamed bright "Oh I won't. Cause I didn't have a boyfriend before either, so I'll probably mess up too. But hey we can work out whatever mistakes we have together" He then held chuckles hand, smiling a bit and replied "So. Um. Let's go have breakfast together yeah?" He then got a bit impulsive and gave chuckles a little kiss on the cheek before he panicked and apologized "Oh sorry! I, uh, I hope you don't mind that. If you do I'm so sorry, I should've asked first!"

Chuckles raised an eyebrow.

"You must be busy sometimes. Everyone is." said Chuckles.

Chuckles smiled at Virgil's answer.

"Well thank you. It is one of my favorite shirts." said Chuckles.

He smiled at Virgil's reaction as he blushed.

"So you're adorkable then?" asked Virgil.

He chuckled at his joke and smiled as Virgil spoke again.

"Then we shall learn together. That will make it even more fun." said Chcukles.

He raised an eyebrow as Virgil kissed him.

"Oh I don' t care about that. Although I expected it to be more...."

He leaned forward giving Virgil a long kiss on the lips. He then pulled back gasping for air and chuckled.

"...Like that." said Chuckles.

Virgil blushed a bit more as chuckles seemed to rightfully point out the lack of logic. He tried to save face, smiling a bit "I guess that's true. Maybe I will get busy but I'll make sure I save time for you" He then was relieved to see his compliment worked to his advantage. As chuckles' admitted this was one of his personal favorite things to wear. Thank goodness for that, because he looked good. Then again he always did. But virgil kept that to himself. He then chuckled at chuckles' joke of him being adorkable "You can say that I guess yeah"

"True. That DOES make it more fun. I look forward to it" Virgil honestly and sincerely replied. He then was relieved chuckles took no offense to the kiss. But then suddenly all thoughts and worries were shut off when Chuckles pulled him in for a kiss. He was a tad surprised at first but fully embraced it, enjoying chuckles' kissing him on the lips. It lasted a while, and virgil felt like he was in heaven. But then chuckles pulled back and virgil was speechless. Virgil sighed softly before replying "Damn. What a kisser you are. That was amazing. And since you don't really mind that sort of thing, let me do it one more time" He then pulled chuckles' in for one more kiss, tenderly and just as long as Chuckles' first kiss was.

Eventually, after a little while, he pulled back. He then felt his stomach growl a tiny bit "I could kiss you all day" He admitted. He felt a bit braver thanks to chuckles' giving him the confidence. He then smirked amusedly "But I think we should go eat"

Chuckles nodded

"And I will try to do the same. I know we may get busy in this war. If we have to maybe we can be busy together. Even if it's doing menial things like patrol or cleaning. At least we'd be together." replied Chuckles.

Chuckles grinned as Virgil laughed at his joke.

"Not many have laughed at my jokes before. That definitely makes you special." said Chuckles.

Chuckles grinned as Virgil returned his kisses.

"Well thank you. That was my first kiss. But we can always practice some more." replied Chuckles.

Then they were kissing again as he wrapped his arms around his new boyfriend.

"I could too but I am quite hungry." said Chuckles.

He took his hand as began to walk downstairs to get some food.
