Rum Tum couldn't help but smirk at the turtle's sweetness. He had a very sweet heart, too bad people didn't seem to see that in him. Too focused on what he looked like no doubt. Well joke was on them, rum tum had it all to himself "I'll go on as many dates as you want babe, sounds like amazing fun to me" He then was surprised as Michelangelo gave him a hug. Rum tum wasn't exactly used to this type of empathy and compassion. Not that the jellicles were heartless but they could only do so much for him with a ton of cats in the group, he kind of got stuck in the middle unless he made them pay attention. Rum Tum smiled a bit, flattered by the turtle's kindness "Eh don't worry about it. It's not worth it. It won't change anything. He's just an asshole. Shit happens. Don't worry about me" Rum Tum didn't want mikey to be so focused on his problems when the turtle himself was struggling. The poor turtle still had a brother missing and it was clear mikey came from a very different background.

Then the turtle confessed that he loved him. Rum Tum never really had anyone declare this so earnestly and so sincerely as Mikey did. Rum Tum was a bit shocked by it, but he was not unhappy with the confession in the slightest. He almost was shocked enough to not talk but he smiled and sincerely responded "You always got me too, mikey. I love you too" He then gave mikey a tender kiss in response to it. He then pulled back as he listened to mikey's explanation to why he was so insecure. It was because he was worried of not being there for his family. He felt guilty over his father and brother having to worry about him. And he felt guilty for not helping his eldest out. Rum Tum noticed mikey get a bit anxious and he replied "Hey hey, you're already a pretty damn impressive warrior. You gotta remember in this line of work, we're all bound to get hurt. Even you. And that's okay. It's okay to get hurt every once in a while. You're doing the damn best you can. We all are. Don't be so hard on yourself"

He knew the turtle was told this but he wanted to say it because maybe coming from him it would mean something. Family was supposed to comfort you, a lover was a person who usually looked out for your best interest meaning they'd be honest with you than most. Rum Tum tried his best and he spoke some more "Look your brother is still underneath all that brainwashing crap. You and I both know that. So we know this ain't gonna last. Those idiots won't know what hit them, your bro will come back. Just takes time"

[Michelangelo]

Michelangelo grinned.

"Great. I look forward to them all." said Michelangelo.

Michelangelo shook his head.

"He may not be worth it but you are. But if it would make you unhappy I won't go after him. I might give him a black eye if he showed up because no one who hurts you will okay with me." said Michelangelo.

Michelangelo grinned.

"And I'm grateful for that. I never thought I'd have this. Someone who'd love me outside of family or friends. I guess this war has brought a lot of couples together that wouldn't have met without it including us." said Michelangelo.

Michelangelo grin grew as Rum Tum's words. With Rum Tum's faith in him, he felt like he could take on 100 Shredders.

"Thank you. I've heard other people say it but they were my family or friends. They're supposed to say nice stuff about you. But we barely knew each other before today. So if you can see a warrior in me then maybe I really am one." said Michelangelo.

Michelangelo nodded.

"I hope so. I just wish we could get through to him more than a few seconds." said Michelangelo.

"Good. Cause so do I" Rum Tum tugger replied with a wink, being a little flirty with michelangelo. The turtle just ignited some cheerful part of him. He had such a sweetness to him that was addicting. It was kind of a wonder why michelangelo managed to stay so single. But maybe that was because a lot of people might have just saw him as a goofball and nothing else. But rum tum really enjoyed his humor and who he was, not to mention he was very physically attractive. The turtle had a nice shade of green and a adorable face. And the muscles weren't bad either. He then looked down as michelangelo insisted that he was more than happy to confront his father if he asked him to. But that was the thing, rum tum had not seen his father in years but there was something that just scared rum tum about him. Fear and anger kept him from confrontation. He was afraid his father would just tell him stuff from the past. That he was worthless and better off dead. He just didn't like the idea of his father meeting michelangelo. Michelangelo was so kind and so sweet, he didn't need to meet someone as disgusting and mean as his father. Rum Tum shook his head again "Don't, mikey. It's not even about making me unhappy. I just don't want him near you either. He's not worth being part of my life. I only want you in my life, and your family too if you want"

"Hey. Maybe this war ain't so bad then. I'm glad we're together" Rum Tum sincerely replied. Maybe if he ever saw Insano, he would give the scientist a grateful hug. Sure some people were not happy here but rum tum saw no negative in his new life. If anything this gave him all the more possibilities. And if he were to have the time portal return, he probably would not go back to the alleys of old. He would probably most likely follow Michelangelo. The turtle was the closest he got to a real family. And he wasn't going to waste it. He blushed at these thoughts, keeping them to himself not wanting to scare michelangelo so much. He then beamed as michelangelo took his advice and started to finally believe in himself "Come on. Of course you're a warrior. You're one the most skilled soldiers in here. You at least know what you're doing, some of these adults who work here haven't fought a day in their lives. Be more proud of yourself, you got what it takes mikey. You got moxie" Rum tum poked his chest playfully at that before holding his hand again.

"God. If I could get your brother back here I would for you. He'll come back. Just takes a good plan. Which the bosses here will make eventually. Your bro won't be lost forever, especially if he has you" Rum tum wanted to encourage the turtle. He didn't want him to lose that spark of hope. Losing hope would definitely not help get leonardo back, if anything it would only delay it more.

[Michelangelo]

Mikey nodded.

"Alright. If that's what you want." said Mikey.

Mikey grinned.

"The perks of this war is so many great experiences and friends. Although meeting you have bumped to to the top of the list. I guess this whole day so far has." said Mikey.

Mikey blushed a bit at Rum Tum's praise. No one had praised him like that outside of his family and friends.

"Thank you Rum Tum. I'll try." said Mikey.

Mikey nodded.

"I'm sure we'll get him back. Somehow. It' s just not as soon as I'd want." said Mikey.

He grinned at him.

"So what about your family? Do you have a big family? Did any of them show up here?" asked Mikey.

Rum Tum nodded, absolutely satisfied that mikey decided to finally let go of revenge. He was relieved. Less said about his dad the better. He wasn't exactly sure if Michelangelo's family would really overall like him but he had a feeling that his family was way better than any family. He then smiled warmly as Michelangelo declared that this day was the best along with being with Rum Tum. He held mikey close replying "Definitely the top thing on my list too, babe"

Rum Tum also nodded when mikey listened to his praise and decided to try to validate himself "Good. Cause you're a warrior, or ninja I should say. Ninjas are skilled and I totally know you are" He then nodded as Michelangelo explained he knew Leonardo would return. Just not for a while. Rum Tum nodded empathetically he understood, a couple of his jellicle friends were yet to arrive so he understood the impatience all too well "I get you. It'll take a while and that sucks. But what's important is that we don't give up"

Rum Tum then got a tad sad. He hadn't seen Old Deutronomy, bomberina, Jemina, Victoria or even his old friend munkustrap. To say the least he missed his friends. They were the closest thing to family and having them not here did feel odd and hurtful. He replied though giving a soft smile when mikey asked about them "Well the family I do have is basically a group of good friends who took me in. Old Deutronomy is kind of like my grandfather. Bomberina, jemina and Victoria are kind of like my sisters and munkustrap is my good old friend. Used to make fun of him like crazy" He then shook his head sadly "Fraid not. Nobody I know is on this side. They might just be back at the alleyways of old or on other sides" Rum Tum sighed annoyedly "But then again I don't know if I want them to show up. It's still a war. Crazy shit happens in war"

Mikey grinned.

"I'm glad." said Mikey.

He blushed at Rum Tum's praise but he nodded.

"Okay. You're right. Maybe you could give me some pointers. A good ninja has to adapt and learn new skills. Might be fun to surprise someone in training or battle with a move or technique they don't know I have." said Mikey.

He paused at Rum Tum seemed sad thinking about his family before he smiled again. He guessed he must miss them. His family was here mostly. Aside from April, Casey, Cody, and Sterling. But he had his brothers and father and that's more than what Rum Tum had .

"What a big family. I hope I get to meet them someday." said Mikey.

He paused if he thought they were in another army.

"If they are on another side we'll rescue them like Leo. And I know how you feel. Having family here is a blessing and a curse. You don't miss them but you worry about them." said Mikey.

Rum Tum smiled as Michelangelo asked him that if it was possible to teach him his own skills. Rum Tum grinned interestedly at that, replying earnestly "Oh baby I'm no ninja but I know ways to get around and fight my way outta things. I'm more than happy to give you some street wise stuff to help you out. I'm practically a master of adaption" He then twirled around playfully around mikey a few times before playfully kissing mikey's cheek. He was trying to cheer mikey up a bit as they talked about some dark stuff. And he knew underneath the anxiety was a playful person, he wanted mikey to be happy overall and not be so insecure.

Then the conversation resumed to the jellicles. He smiled softly some more replying "Yeah. We're a big family thanks to Deuteronomy, he's the kindest cat you'll know. He's the leader and munkustrap is his son so he's in charge when Deuteronomy ain't around. I know the jellicles would love you. Hopefully you can meet them" Rum Tum had absolute faith in the jellicles when it came to acceptance. If they could accept him, they would accept anyone. He then looked down a bit, definitely feeling a tad of the old melancholy mood setting in. The jellicles may have not been family but they were the closest thing. But thankfully he had Michelangelo now and rum tum, despite what he lead others to believe, didn't really need that much. All he needed was mikey and he was content.

He then frowned a bit at the idea of his friends being captured. The idea of seeing his friend demeter get captured again wasn't a fun aspect to think. Macavity nearly captured her and that was a nightmare. The idea of these evil people, such as Facilier, attacking her sent shivers down his spine. But mikey's words of assurance comforted him a bit. He nodded in agreement to his words "Exactly. I want them here but at the same time I'm glad they're not. This place is way too sketchy for things like that" He then realized that danger was indeed imminent. Regardless of his faith in mikey, he did have a fear of losing him. So it was best to say what was on his mind. He loved mikey and he was not going to hide his emotions. He looked to mikey, holding his hands and replying, with more sincerity than he ever had in his life "Listen, babe. I want you to know that regardless of whatever this war throws at us, we're in this together. Your problems are my problems and I will be fighting alongside you every step of the way. Please know that okay? I don't say this to just anybody, I mean it with every part of me"

[Michelangelo]

Mikey grinned.

"I'd like the sound of that. Maybe we could help train each other. Teach you a few ninja moves and you team me some of your own." said Mikey.

Mikey nodded.

"I'd loved to get to know them if they show up here. Although if they end up in one of the armies by mistake then we'll make sure we bring them back here." said Mikey.

Mikey smiled.

"Well I'm kind of glad it's just us at the moment. I wouldn't want to meet your family right away. I kind of want you all to myself." said Mikey.

Mikey paused at his words and nodded.

"Of course. We'll fight in this war side by side and no one will stand in our way." said Mikey.

Rum Tum smiled, enjoying the sound of Mikey's idea "That sounds like a plan to me" Rum Tum smiled thoughtfully at the sound of Mikey meeting his family "That also sounds fun. The ladies would love you. They have a soft spot for cuties" Rum Tum chuckled "The kittens would totally love you too" Rum Tum then pulled Mikey in, smiling amusedly "What are you kidding? I'm enjoying the time alone. Our families can wait. We're not on a timelimit"

Rum Tum looked around the forest, replying to Mikey "Hey, let's explore for a little while longer. Then we can head back" Rum Tum pointed to the river "We can relax together over there"
