Strange and Unusual [Panini, Monitor]

Mr. Monitor stopped himself. Maybe it wasn’t a good idea to mention that ghouls were most well-known for consuming the flesh of the living.

“Well, we’re not usually all that friendly examples of the undead.”

He stifled another yawn before standing up.

“Hmm. I didn’t get any sleep, and it isn’t like I have anywhere to be. Hah hah. Hah. Ahem, a nap sounds lovely. ...If you really don’t think I ought to still monitor you?”

Panini's ears went up a little in confusion but she nodded after a small pause. She then shrugged eventually "Well I've seen a lot of things since I've been here. Shouldn't be too surprised anymore" Panini then smiled softly as Mr. Monitor asked if he could go get a nap. Panini felt a bit disappointed, due to not wanting to be alone but she didn't want to force her friend to stay. So she replied "Oh no worry! I just need to finish breakfast for the army anyway! I should get started!" She then proceeded to get a bunch of plates as well as cooking supplies and ingredients. She then grabbed the two bottles of pancake batter along with many other choices for breakfast foods.

She went to get four dozens of eggs when she started to slip but thankfully her footing was strong. She then turned to Mr. Monitor and replied "If you need seconds I'll be sure to wake you in a couple hours!"

Sleepiness grew more apparent on his faces as his eyelids gradually dropped. For as much stress as the ghoul experienced and how more-or-less he’d come to expect it, eventually he would tire out. Almost a whole day of worrying and no sleep left Mr. Monitor drained. It was probably best for everyone he attempted to get some rest: or else he would behave even more grouchily. Though he did seem to pause for a few moments more to watch.

“Take care of yourself,” he muttered.

He turned away from Panini and began to lumber for the exit. He was feeling far more concerned for himself than anyone else.

“I suppose I’ll see you at a later time.”

Panini smiled softly as Mr. Monitor told her to take care of herself. As if she didn't already half the time. But the bunny nodded softly and allowed Mr. Monitor to go up and take care of himself. She was selfless in that regard. The bunny perked up and replied "You most certainly will! I sure hope so!" As Mr. Monitor left, she proceeded to cook all the food for the others. Hoping to get her day started in the best way possible.
