Locked Up(Bruce)

[Magnus Martinsson]

(OCC: April 21st. For bruce and magnus to bond similarly to how tony and linksano will bond)

Magnus threw the small rubber ball in annoyance and boredom as he once again stared outside in his small jailcell window. The facilier army had confined him for isolation for god knows how long now. He regretted being so weak enough as to be stupid enough to get captured. His kidnapper, Harry Percy, at first was going to kill him, but after finding out he was not Hal and rather Magnus, it was found best to keep him alive. If only to set an example and a threat to the hero team. God, he regretted being a part of this scheme already. Especially now that he was so far away from Linksano. His emotional attachment to the doctor grew and one might say he was actually falling in love with the man. Sure the doctor was awkward but Linksano and him had actually gotten closer. He wanted to just stay alive to tell Linksano how he felt and how sorry he was.

"Alright, detective" One of facilier's members snapped as he threw one of his allies in the cell "Facilier thought you were being actually well behaved and thought you can teach your friend here to behave too" With a loud slam, the cell door closed and Magnus was left alone... well alone with his captive friend. He turned to see it was none other than bruce. Bruce was captured by jafar after the transformation incident. Magnus turned and replied "Bruce?! Thank god! You're still alive!"

Bruce groaned as he got up. His shirt was torn a bit revealing scars and bruises on his arms and chest. He'd been beaten and tortured so much in attempts to punish him and try to control the Hulk. They were able to use magical chains to keep the Hulk contained so he didn't escape in that form. Chainst that were still on his wrists. He paused hearing footsteps and turned not wanting to face whoever it was.

But he did overhear what he said seeing they were dropping off another prisoner. He ignored his captor as he soon left leaving him with the other prisoner. Bruce recognized him instantly as Magnus. He tried to move forward to check on him. But his chains still held him in place.

"If you can call this living. I've lost track of the days I've been here. I sleep most of the time. Well when they're not trying to force the Hulk to work for them." said Bruce.

He smiled though at him.

"Is everyone else ok? Tony? If something happened to him. If he relapsed or worse because of me I-"

He trailed off near tears hoping no one else got hurt because he'd lost his temper and got himself captured.

"You've been here much longer than me, Banner. You've been gone for a couple weeks. And you've handled a lot of shit, but it's good to see you alive and not worse" Magnus didn't know what to do. He was just as depressed as bruce was. Isolation got to him and made him realize how SERIOUS this whole war was. It really, really woke him up. Sure it's only been a few days but each day gave him fear it was going to be his last. Magnus wasn't nearly as injured as Bruce, so he came closer to the man. Mostly out of comfort cause the man looked so broken and he was so physically hurt, Magnus thought he could at least try to help.

"Well physically we're okay, we just want you back is all. Hell, I felt bad when I heard you were gone. Facilier's a evil bastard" He kept his voice down, in fear he might be heard. He was truly scared for his life. Being a prisoner was terrifying.

He then saw Bruce demand about tony and start to cry, fearing the other was hurt or relapsed. Magnus gave him a gentle hug, careful with his injuries "Banner, Tony's not relapsed. The only thing he's done is write ways to torture the people who hurt you and invent weapons to set you free. He misses you terribly. I don't blame him, you and him are close" He sighed "God we need to get out of here"

Bruce sighed.

"Only a couple weeks. The blackouts don't help. I think they've brought out the Hulk several times and I can't control him. I just hope I don't change in here. I don't want to hurt you." said Bruce.

Bruce nodded.

"Yes he is. All of them are." said Bruce.

Bruce was surprised as Magnus hugged him and he couldn't return it due to the chains so he just smiled at him.

"Thank you my friend. I'm glad he's ok. At least physically. Our relationship was so new. We were friends before we came here and then started seeing each other. I just wish I could see him again. I miss him." said Bruce.

He glanced at Magnus.

"What about you? You and Linksano started dating yet?" asked Bruce, trying to be hopeful.

"Jesus, they really did a number on you" As if his injuries didn't prove it enough, Bruce was sometimes forced to become the hulk. He didn't know why but Magnus knew they were trying to get the hulk out for a reason. To torture bruce? To use the hulk for their own purposes? Magnus had no clue. And frankly, he didn't want to find out. He nodded, sadly, as Bruce confirmed his anger towards their captives. He held Bruce protectively, mostly because deep down Magnus was vunerable ever since being a captive. This whole thing was scaring him shitless.

"I know you do. I know the feeling. You'll see him again" Magnus was trying desperately to be hopeful. If only to give himself comfort. Helping bruce in a way comforted himself. Especially since he and bruce were in a similar boat. Speaking of which, when Bruce asked him if they were dating, Magnus shook his head "Not yet. Linksano, god bless him, doesn't really get that I'm in love with him" He then sniffed, tearing up "Oh god. I'm in love with him bruce. I gotta tell him I'm sorry for this. I gotta get outta here for him"

Bruce sighed.

"I hope so. I've really missed him. I've kind of been grateful for the blackouts from the injuries and changing into Hulk. I get to miss Tony less." said Bruce.

Bruce chuckled.

"Then you need to show him. He can be a bit dense sometimes." said Bruce.

He grinned.

"He's a lucky guy. But I do hope he feels the same. I hope you're not heading for heartbreak." said Bruce.

"It's still a lot on your body. I mean sure it helps prevent you missing Tony but still. They shouldn't be so rough on you. But then again, they're the bastards who captured us in the first place" Magnus looked around, a bit paranoid that the captors would hear and beat him. They have hit him quite a few times for being snarky, so magnus was a tad traumatized. The detective sniffed some more, tearing up as Bruce suggested to be more blunt "I'm trying to show him but he doesn't seem to get it. I don't think he loves me Bruce"

He sniffed, realizing it may be a heartbreak. But Magnus knew it was better to get his feelings out then not to ever reveal them. He replied softly "We gotta get out of here. I need to tell him how I feel. I can't wait for him anymore. I need to tell him even if he doesn't feel the same way"

Bruce sighed.

"I know. But I'm a prisoner. I mean they did worse to that poor boy Ma-Ti. I feel guilty for being grateful they only just beat me up." said Bruce.

He paused moving forward only to hear the clink of the bracelets on his wrists and ankles and sighed.

"I'd hug you if I could but these chains are pretty strong. I think they must be made by magic. Linksano would be a fool to let you go." said Bruce.

He sighed thinking back to the goggle wearing scientist.

"Maybe you should go another way. Maybe the guy's never really had love or experienced it. Who knows what drove him to being a mad scientist in his world. Would explain
how jaded he can be. He reminds me a lot of myself.

My mother died when I was very young and my father.. well he was drunk and abusive. I still wonder how I survived my childhood. I don't remember much of it. I had a lot of trips to the hospital before I eventually went into orphanages and foster care. Before Betty and Tony I didn't think I'd find love or deserve it." said Bruce.

"We're lucky we're breathing. But it could always be worse. Hope to god it doesn't. Let's just thank our lucky stars we still have hope of getting out of here" Magnus scratched his head, nervous and worried. He had a bad feeling he might die. He didn't want to. He had stuff to do. He had to tell Linksano how sorry he was. How stupid he was. He wanted so desperately to tell him many things. He then smiled weakly as Bruce comforted him with his words. Magnus scooted over more and hugged his friend again "Thanks Bruce. But I wouldn't blame him if he didn't love me. I mean I'm annoying. And pessimistic. And stupid"

"I'm trying all types of ways. I love being his friend but I want to be more. But if he just wants me as his friend I'll do that. But I can't hide how I feel" Magnus sighed softly, rubbing his hair "Fuck me, I shouldn't have done this stupid mission. I'm dumb for even trying to do this" He punched the wall angrily "I should've just stayed. I should've done better" He then listened to Bruce's story and his heart swelled with sympathy. Although not abused growing up, Magnus had murder victims that were abused family members and whatnot. And he always felt bad for them. Especially children. Magnus replied firmly "If anyone is deserving of love and friendship it's without a doubt you, bruce"

Bruce shook his head.

"Funny thing about luck is it can go good or bad. And I don't think I need any more bad luck." said Bruce.

He smiled hugging him back.

"I will make sure you get back to him. And you aren't' any of those things. You're charming, optimistic and pretty smart. Linksano I think is just wrapped up in his work. I can relate to that." said Bruce.

Bruce sighed

"I know you're trying. I just think the poor guy hasn't had any real love. I mean I've heard him call Linkara and the others colleagues while they consider him a friend. He's never really been shown love so how can he possibly express it or recognize it when someone does. Or if he feels it himself he'd probably just ignore it thinking he was sick or something." said Bruce.

He grinned at Magnus.

"Thank you for that. I know that now." said Bruce.

"I don't think anybody needs bad luck" Magnus commented, understanding Bruce's cynicism. He then looked around before whispering softly "Well except maybe our enemies" He then smirked amusedly, trying to lighten their situation just a tad more. He was trying so desperately to keep it together, seeing bruce try to help him out made him feel guilty since Bruce was the one was hurting. Magnus then shook his head sadly as Bruce encouraged him and replied that maybe Linksano was just a enormous workaholic. He sadly responded "Come on bruce. I am a liability. If I wasn't I would've been able to save you and not be here. Besides, Linksano doesn't need me. He said he never really felt love and felt it was pointless" He started to tear up again "But I can't hide it anymore. I gotta tell the truth at least for my own sanity"

"You're probably right about that. But I want to be there for him. And now I'm stuck here. And if I don't make it here, he'll never be able to know and probably will blame himself for my mistakes" He banged the wall angrily again, annoyed with himself. Feeling such anxiety and guilt. He snapped to himself "Stupid magnus, that's all you are. Stupid, stupid idiot" He rubbed his hands in his hair and pulled it a little out of frustration "I never should've agreed to this idea Mike made" He then smiled a little as Bruce at least accepted his compliment. He nodded "I know you do. Just wanted to remind you"

Bruce chuckled.

"I suppose not but I might make an exception for the other armies." said Bruce.

Bruce shook his head.

"No one is a liability in this army. You're an talented member of this army and we're lucky to have you. Never forget that." said Brucde.

Bruce looked ath im sadly.

"Who are you trying to convince me or yourself? Because he needs you whether he realizes it or not. Even as a friend if he can't handle a relationship or won't except it. No one deserves to be without love." said Bruce.

Bruce nodded.

"Well we'll get out of here by breaking out or being rescued. It's just a matter of time. They've rescued everyone in else in the past from both armies. Well most of them." said Bruce.

He paused thinking of the turtle Leonardo.

"If we do escape I want to take that turtle with us. Even if we have to knock him out. His family's been worried sick about him and with two of them recently leaving Loki's army to join ours we need to completely reunite the family. He's here because of magic like Ma-Ti had been awhile ago. Although if the choice came between us and him I would leave. Because we could always free him another day but we can't if we're still prisoners." said Bruce.

Bruce sighed.

"Stop insulting yourself. That doesn't change anything. You aren't stupid. Reckless perhaps like Mike and the others when they made that plan but not stupid." said Bruce.

Bruce grinned.

"Thank you for that." said Bruce.

Magnus laughed a little at that but then got serious as bruce tried to comfort him. He looked to see the ball come near him and he held it in his hands "I wish I can believe you Bruce. I wish I could believe you" He then turned to Bruce at his comments about Linksano "I hope you're right about that. But I love him no matter what he thinks of me. Just being with him I get happy. You understand me bruce? It's hard for me to describe this love"

Magnus nodded at the idea of being rescued, hoping it came down to that. He then listened about leonardo and widened his eyes about that. He realized that turtle was still in danger "That's right! That leonardo turtle is still in danger! Hopefully we can save him. If we can't we can try again. We gotta find a way for him too. That family of his is practically worried sick for him" He then turned to snap again "But I am stupid, I keep making more mistakes than needed. I keep fucking up and I got myself in rather than get you out. God damnit"

Suddenly a villian was heard upstairs shouting "Hey both of you lovebirds shut up or I'll come down there and shut you up. Knock it off or you'll be sorry!" With that the door slammed. Hard. Reminding bruce and magnus of their place.

Bruce grinned.

"I'll just have to do the believing for the both of us until you do." said Bruce.

Bruce sighed.

"None of us really know what his life was like. I've heard the insano's in general Linksano, Insano and Insuedo were once normal sane people. Linksano is just Linkara from another universe driven insane. Insuedo's an alternate universe of a reviewer named Suede. As for Dr. Insano he has way too many origins. Alternate dimensions, time travels, split personality from Spoony. Gets confusing after awhile. He may have never had love in his world or perhaps he may not feel good enough for a romance. There's times I don't and yet Tony will just snap me out of it. Even when he doesn't realize it." said Bruce.

Bruce chuckled at the thought and nodded as the topic shifted to Leonardo.

"It may take time and maybe won't be with us. But I will find a way to free that turtle. Raphael and the others deserve to be a completely family again." said Bruce.

He shook his head.

"We all make mistakes. Hulk went off and fought a sorcerer while everyone was changed into animals, objects and mythical creatures. He lost and was captured. I lost control of my anger and Hulk went out to fight. Both of us acted pretty stupid then." said Bruce.

He hea rd a villain shout and left as Bruce shook his head.

"I don't care what they say. It's not like we're shouting. They could just make this soundproof if they really didn't want to hear us talking." said Bruce.

Magnus couldn't help but smile at bruce. Bruce made him feel surprisingly safer here. Even if he was captured, he felt a little bit better with bruce around. Misery loved company he supposed. He then nodded understandingly as bruce explained the possibilities of linksano's background "I know. It probably is hard for him. I wanna support him through it though. I don't care. He just, he's everything bruce. I want him to know that I care about who he is and I wanna do everything with him" Magnus realized how in love he was and it frightened him but he liked it at the same time.

"Nobody deserves to be separated from family" Magnus agreed with bruce. He wanted Leonardo to be finally free. The pain malachite was giving him by putting him under a spell was plain wrong. Magnus felt like these people were truly evil. These guys were not ones that were merciful or kind. They did anything they could to hurt people. He then nodded as bruce pointed out that he made mistakes too "I guess you have a point" He then felt a bit more confident thanks to bruce being spiteful back to the villains. He smiled and replied "Yeah. Screw them. You're right"
